Ever since she had returned from her journey, she hadn’t been sleeping right, and when she did sleep she would wake multiple times throughout the night in a cold sweat. Even though she knew that her brother was dead, she couldn’t help the feeling that he was still alive, tormenting her even to this point. Things definitely felt lonely around her home now, her puppy was missing, and she could only hope that he was with her best friend. “I miss you Ivory” she said to herself as she finally climbed out of bed. She fumbled her way through her closet, looking for anything to wear, she didn’t feel very picky these days in her clothing options. It felt like everything was crushing in on her, and she had no way to free herself.

Shaking the negative thoughts from her head, she picked out a pink sweatsuit that she had bought quite some time ago. Placing the outfit on the bed, she went into the bathroom that adjoins her bedroom, so that she could take a shower. Despite not really caring about her appearance while at home, if she was going to go out of the house she should at least clean herself up a bit. After her shower, she did her hair so that it was just straight, and a light bit of makeup. Then she got dressed as she prepared to face yet another day alone. Once dressed she went to the kitchen and prepared something to eat, nothing fancy, just a simple sandwich to tie her over until the upcoming supper time. “God, I need some coffee. This is going to be another long day” she said to herself as she turned on the coffee pot.

After eating and having her coffee, the young Nephilim pulled on her white puffy winter jacket, and her sneakers; before exiting her home. Ever since she had gotten home, she had gone to her best friend’s house, but she was never home. Sure Nayoung could have gone into her friend’s home, she had a key that allowed her to do so; but until she knew for sure that her friend didn’t hate her guts for what she did, Nayoung felt like it would be the wrong thing to do. She wandered through the streets of Evermore City, the cold winter air nipping at her flesh while music played in her ears through the headphones that she used as earmuffs. As she reached her friend’s place, something felt different this time.

Was Ivory home this time? She stood on the doorstep as she did many times before and raised her hand to knock, then froze. She had thought about this moment for so long, but she honestly didn’t know what to say. She hadn’t seen Ivory in over a year, and what was she supposed to say to make that better? “Hey Ivy, I’m back” she practiced to herself, still standing on the doorstep. “No that’s not it. I missed you?” she said in a questionative tone. Shaking her head no, she wondered if she should just leave and try again another day. Turning away from the door, she heard the door open behind her before she could even take a step.
The arrival (Helena and Aiden)tag:eternalcityrp.com,2022-08-13:6610746:Topic:4326272022-08-13T21:45:15.610Z✓ Helena Alexanderhttps://eternalcityrp.com/profile/SummerKinnaird

She looked at the monotonous lettering in front of the building and then bit her lower lip. This was going to be her first stop, it seemed, she was in need of a drink, although nothing alcoholic - the woman needed to drive to a motel or something later after all. Getting arrested wouldn't be all that great on her first few hours in Evermore.

Slowly, she hopped off her bike before taking off her helmet and she glanced over to her headgear. From her time in the US, she has only really seen a handful of peeps use a helmet like her, and it's because wearing one was not mandatory in most places in America. She made sure to check these things before coming over.

She decided to take her helmet with her. It was a new place and while she was sure her bike would be safe, her helmet could very much be nicked, she didn't want that and so she walked into the bar with her helmet in-between one of her arms and her side. Her feet made their way in as the smell of alcohol filled her nostrils.

"Aye, it's definitely a bar alright…" The biker girl mused with her Geordie accent before making her way over to the bar counter. Having a drink to parch her thirst will be a priority. Then she could probably ask questions about her missing brother…

"Excuse me." The woman called out to the person behind the bar as she sat herself down on the chair and placed her helmet on the counter. "I'd like one of ye… mocktails please?" She asked. "Take yer time, I'm in no rush." She then told them with a heavy breath. "Don't worry, just surprise me, if yer wondering."

Slipping passed the guards weren’t very hard. Everyone was so busy with their own problems, their own lives. Problems that were partly Erythreus´ fault. Some of his decisions had lead to the fall of Skye and many of the guards death. It was years ago but since then things had only gone south. The aliward and their guards found a home in Evermore where the supernaturals activity seemed to thrive and the peace hanging on a loose thread. The moody aspect isolated himself more and more feeling that his presence only burdened. The people he called his family suddenly felt like acquaintances and his duties that hadn’t been very joyful to begin with felt undoable.

The faint ghost with its empty judge eyes stared at the aspect of death, as it had done the last few days. Ery couldn’t seem to keep up the barriers to keep him from seeing the souls of the dead still seeking redemption. ”Go away” the giant harshly muttered trying to wave it away but without success. From a by stander the beardy male must look like he had one to many mumbling and gesturing to himself like a crazy person. None dared to say anything tho and he still had ladies throwing themselves at him if he was in that mood. One night stands had lost its charm but relations were even worse. Memories of his last still hurt to thing of threatening to tear a big hole in his heart if he gave it too much thought.

The blonde drowned the last of his booze, which didn’t exactly help with keeping the ghosts away rather the opposite, before throwing some money on the table and leaving the bar before any of the guards released he wasn’t in his room mopping or whatever they believed he did in there. However he wasn’t ready to go home just yet. The only thing awaiting him was his messy room and more booze. So he found himself wandering around aimlessly around with the ghosts as his only company buzzing around his head making it hard for him to concentrate. ”Hey leave me alone I can’t help you” The aspect had come to an alleyway and heard footsteps approaching causing a sigh to slipp out, but it was a familiar face that had caught up to him. ”So you found me Dom, Points to you I guess. Sorry for going out unannounced … again” he chuckled a stiff joyless sound.

It was almost noon when the aspect of death woke up. A late hour to start the day according to most, but not very unusual for the broody male who didn’t really have a circadian rhythm. He didn’t have any obligations demanding him to wake up a certain time. No hobbies forcing him to be at a certain place. What he did have was duties but he hadn’t fulfilled them in ages and now it felt almost insuperable starting, but he knew he would have to sooner rather than later.

Erythreus yawned as he got up from the bed, wondering what today would bring. Nowadays everyday was almost the same, escape the guards pretending to go to the grave yard helping lost souls find peace and keeping order in the death realm. However instead he ended up drunk in a bar reminiscing about old times and old love. Somehow life had taken a turn and Ery didn’t know how to break the pattern. The rest of his aliward family had looked at him concerned, trying to break trough to the bitter shell of Erythreus but without luck.

After a quick look in the mirror assuring he didn’t look like a complete wreck, not more than usual anyways, the aspect left his residence and made his way to the shared kitchen. The mansion was quiet, all of the guards were outside practising with the new weapons that had been delivered the previous day. The rest of the aspects were probably with them helping and participating. Erythreus had a faint memory he’d been asked but grunted a sour ”No”. Now he regretted that decision. It would’ve been nice feeling part of something again. The blonde knew they would welcome him with open arms if he decided to join in now. He could hear their laughters from a far and longed to be there with them. Anyhow he also knew that if he had been there he’d feel distanced, ruining the fun for the rest of his family.

Instead the lonely aspect searched through the fridge for something to eat. His eyes noted a hot sauce with Bexley´s name tag on it, causing him to frown. That guard had been one of his closer friends but had also had a rough period in life and left the manor, and suddenly Ery knew what today would bring. He found himself a sandwich in the fridge that he devoured on his way to town, hoping any of the guards wouldn’t give him hell about it later, and heading for Bexley´s little shop in town. It wasn’t weather to drive his motorcycle and it would’ve drawn too much attention. He didn’t want to tell the guards where he went, hoping they wouldn’t notice he wasn’t brooding in his room until he came back.

A bell rang as he entered the small shop announcing his arrival. ”So its here you’ve been hiding Bex” Erythreus stated not meeting the females eyes.

As Clara always seemed to prepare for cases like these she had slipped out the door but not before grabbing a raincoat and some boots along with an umbrella which she put in the back of her car. Now Clara quite enjoyed the rain, especially when she had to work, the warm lighting in the library and the storm outside the windows always added a certain ambiance to her workday, that couldn't really be replaced.

Busying herself she began to put away all the overnight returns, though her fellow co-workers would be here in an hour she usually did them herself anyway. Moving the books on the book cart she grabbed the elevator to first return the children and middle school books away first, along she went to the third floor, she turned on the first set of lights as she exited the elevator to her floor, the dark hardwood creaking under every step she made,
It didn't matter how many times she'd put the books away up here, but being alone on the third floor still had the power to make her a little more cautious of every sound she heard and every step she made. Obviously, it was just nerves she repeated to herself.

By the time all the books were put away on each individual floor, and the library dusted and vacuumed, her co-workers had already shown up, the lounge being filled with the smell of coffee that wafted through the halls leading to the room. She'd grab a cup probably in an hour.

When the clock hit nine o'clock, she went to the door, turning over the sign from closed to open, another day at the library just about to begin.
★ Save Me (Hanseol & Octavia)tag:eternalcityrp.com,2021-09-30:6610746:Topic:4296092021-09-30T13:20:22.359Z✓ Hanseol Parkhttps://eternalcityrp.com/profile/Gen

Jae didn’t go back to the dorms that much these days after the dhampir was finally convinced to start moving in for real. However, there were times when he’s in his study week and it was easier to stay at the dorms since he’d have access to the university library any time he wanted and could do with some discussions with his classmates. Today is one of those days, Jae had stayed back and told Han he’d be away for two days. He had already texted him that and told the celestial a few days prior but it was cute of him to still leave a note on the fridge to remind Han to not forget his meals. Work has been hectic for him as usual and last week he fainted due to being dehydrated, and Jae has been quite strict with his meals ever since.

“It’s been 8 hours since you left home and I’ve already missed you dearly” he cooed as he held the phone to his ear while giving the dogs their food. “I have a day off today so I’m going to head over to the supermarket to do some grocery shopping. I hope you won’t study too hard, don’t forget your meals too.” The call was brief because Han had to end it soon if he wants to go out. Thankfully, the supermarket only took him 10 minutes of walking, the celestial never preferred to drive due to his claustrophobia and he still couldn’t get over them so it was better to evade that. The last thing he wanted was a case where he hurt himself because he couldn’t focus on driving.

It’s been a while since he went on a grocery run, mainly because he likes doing all his shopping with the dhampir, and these days both of them have been pretty busy. It’s more than good enough that they were able to come back to snuggle one another by the end of the day. Sometimes Han would need to stay in Denver for a few days to do his work because most of his work line is directed at the new facility there. He refused to move, of course, and his supervisor understood the reasoning behind it. However, not everything could be done virtually so there were days where he simply needs to be physically present. Han soon finished putting everything on the list in the cart and passed by a woman he remembered talking to, at the apothecary, which caused him to halt.

She was a kind lady from what he’s seen and they had a small chit chat while he was trying to understand the labels plastered on the bottles back in the apothecary, something she had experience and knowledge on. She helped him get what he needed and he never got to thank her because she had to leave. “Hey, you’re the kind lady I met at the apothecary last Wednesday, right? I never got to thank you… I don’t even know your name because you had to rush out.” He held out his hand with a sheepish grin “I’m Hanseol, you can call me Han. Please, can I get you a coffee or something? I felt bad not returning your kindness…”
Never Quarrel, But Seek Hazardous Adventures (Caleb and Artemitra)tag:eternalcityrp.com,2021-07-04:6610746:Topic:4276902021-07-04T21:22:34.873Z✓ Caleb Eli Segal ~Mod~https://eternalcityrp.com/profile/CalebSegal

During the weekends, Caleb liked to make room in life for relaxation. For him, that often included his hobbies. Like his job, most of them were art related, but they were less practical. He liked to spend his spare time learning new skills, even ones that he might be bad at. It was a great way to pass the time and engage his mind in learning. There were endless new avenues when it came to art, but lately he had been fascinated with the idea of taking old things and making them new again. He’d done it before. When he first returned to the small house he’d grown up a few years ago, it had been covered in cobwebs and weeds. It was strange that only fifteen years could make nature move back in like it had never gone. One of the first steps he’d taken was to remove the old furniture and take it to a flea market.
On a late summer morning in Evermore, a flea market sounded like an ideal place to find a storied object. In such a big city, it was easy to find a gathering like it. Saturday mornings were ideal for such activities. Caleb only had to walk a few miles before coming across a street which had been closed off in white tents.
A colorful array of people fluttered through the street. It was quite picturesque.
He quickly found himself at home in the crowd. He usually avoided hoardes of people, but with a pair of headphones in his ears and a Great Wall of antiques to look through it was much less intimidating.
The stall with a huge selection of old books quickly grabbed his attention and Caleb found himself carefully handling volume by volume of classic texts until a slim one towards the bottom caught his eye. It was an abridged copy of The Count of Monte Cristo, by Alexandre Dumas.
It had long been his favorite book. For many years, he’d sympathized and understood the struggles of young Edmond Dantès.
But, before he could lay a claim to the treasure, a small hand with brightly colored fingernails grasped the text.
Caleb looked up to see a familiar face.
“Mitra,” he exclaimed. “Bonjour.”
It had been a while since he’d seen his old friend. They’d lost touch after the third member of their small clan had left the city. “Apparently, we have a similar taste in books.”
Little Wonders (Caleb and Willow)tag:eternalcityrp.com,2021-05-29:6610746:Topic:4273712021-05-29T08:59:14.901Z✓ Willow Eleonora Braelyndhttps://eternalcityrp.com/profile/Eleonora

At first she thought that she’d never be able to settle and live in the same city as her enemies and where other supernaturals alike reside too. Yet with the more time passes the more she falls in love with the city. Having people like herself around, making friends. Having a job she loves. Or even having someone who likes to spend time with. All of those things she’s never really had before. In the past it always was just her and Elias. Even then they never spent too long in one place; they always moved around to suit her brother's needs more than hers. Her being her always went along and followed her brother anywhere, but now it was all different. She’s learnt that she doesn’t have to always have to have her brother at her side, that she could be all okay without him. Finding she’s quite alright without him. That she could be all okay.

She never knew what to do without herself when she wasn’t at work. Maybe she was just maybe too attached to her job thinking the place couldn’t run itself without her. It was just her being silly. So here she was using her free time to explore more parts of the city. There were still some places and shops she’d not been to or been meaning to go but she’d been too busy. The Celestial stopped in her tracks outside of a shop that caught her eye. Seeing through the big open windows at the front inside there were lots of paintings and drawings all scattered on the walls. Already able to see from where she was standing that they were good. For a few moments the Celestial stood outside of the place wondering whether she could go in or not. She wanted a better look at the work. That maybe she would find some good art pieces for back at the book shops she works at and how they are in the process of redoing it up. Knowing how people all loved when places had up the work of new and upcoming artists and all.

After deciding whether to go in or not the Celestial finally decided she could go in. Opening the door she walked right in and was already looking around at all of the art pieces. Willow couldn’t see anyone else in the room at first. Making her think and become worried for a moment if she was supposed to just walk in. “Hello! Is anyone here?” Willow called out as she stood there in the middle of the shop a little bit anxious if she was intruding. She just wanted to find out more about the artwork that drew her in.
Safe Haven(Silas & Cass)tag:eternalcityrp.com,2021-04-29:6610746:Topic:4270752021-04-29T15:02:42.371Z✓ Cassandra Havilliardhttps://eternalcityrp.com/profile/TBD436

He’d kept her disciplined keeping her focus on the goal at the cost of other social things, but still it had taken her to the position she had now, one of the youngest and only women captains within the fire department.

Cassandra was at the stations gym, trying to put in a mile on the rowing machine before dinner, when the alarm went off sending everyone to the trucks. This time the alarm voice announced that they would assist a boy stuck in a tree. To some it might seem like an odd assignment for a firefighter but most calls actually didn’t involve fires. As captain it was her job to coordinate her team keep and interact with other departments. According to the police the kid had run away from an abusive parent and got stuck in a tree. The parents whereabouts was still unknown.

At the scene Cassandra ordered a few of her team to climb up the latter and secure the kid. A loud boom caused her to shift focus. After ordering her fellow firefighters to continue the rescue she left the scene to follow the sound. A few blocks away she found the origin to the sound. Two men stood in fighting position one with an iron pipe. The Star recognised one of the men as the abusing parent, but the other one was unknown. However she could see the hatred burn hot in his eyes. A feeling she understood. How could someone torment an innocent child? It made her blood boil, she’d love to see him suffer, but it wasn’t her place to serve justice. Nor was it this mans right to do so. ”Hey, Cool off” Cass ordered the man with the iron pipe her voice filled with authority.

He hated being late but there was little sympathy when it came to the sign off process in the force, he had to file all his cases before the end of the day and thanks to a runner putting his schedule behind earlier he was still writing up the last of it. He pulled out his phone to send Alicia, Rosie's babysitter a message to say he would be late and he would meet her at the coffee shop, adding to treat herself and Rosie on him. He breathed a sigh of relief when she responded with 'No Problem' and got back to work on filing his final case, wiping his brow and shaking his head, working a full job was tough when you were a single parent.

When Lici announced they were going to get hot cocoa, Rosie couldn't help but squeal excitedly before placing her hand into hers, they headed out of the house and she followed as they walked the distance over to the cafe they liked going to. It had only opened recently and the owner was really friendly, always giving her a candy whenever she came in. Before long they were heading inside and over to the counter. She looked around the room curiously before spotting what looked like a massive white cloud across the room.

Her eyes widened and she tugged on Lici's hand to point in the direction of the dog before pouting her lips as though to plead with her. When she nodded but asked her to stay in sight. She nodded before wandering closer to the white dog who was laying down and minding it's own business but instead of petting it, Rosie pulled out the chair opposite the owner and hoisted herself onto it. She wobbled a little before smiling softly "Hi" she tilted her head a little, trying to figure out what she was doing on her laptop.

"Your dog is very fluffy" she spoke softly as she looked at her and then back to the blonde girl "Do you have to brush it a lot?" of course she was fact-finding about dog ownership since she had been trying to convince daddy to let her get one for a pet.
