The day Alva left to be with her people to help rebuild their community after everything that had come to happen. Thad felt an emptiness inside of his chest. At the time he didn’t understand the bond they had. It was an emptiness he couldn’t quite explain to anyone. He found himself throwing himself into his own work. Over the last few years Crowthorn had become a highly visited inn. Thanks to his Valkyr shadow abilities he was able to provide spooks that no other haunted place could.
Though this meant many long nights for the Valkyr who tried to sneak in naps every so often but found that he was going to have to hire a few more Valkyr to keep the spooks going. He had a booked Inn every night for the next few weeks so he was making enough to take on some more staff. He yawned as he walked out of his room that was in the inn and moved over to turn on the coffee pots that where there for the free breakfast the inn offered. He could hear the chef already getting to work.
After the pot had enough in it, he poured himself a mug and then moved back to his room to put blood in it. He really needed to stop denying himself blood it was making the cravings for it go through the roof. He knew Gideon would give him an earful about ignoring his feeding cycle. Since he was an addicted when it comes to blood. He sighed heavily as he took the blood bag and started to drink from it deeply wanting to go through his whole supply, when he heard a ding from the bell at the front desk.
He pulled it from his lips and placed it back into the fridge before walking out of his room towards the front desk where he paused seeing the sandy blonde hair. A smile came to his face, and he moved closer to her. He could feel the pull the closer he got to her and without saying a word, his arms wrapped around her and picked her up off the floor twirling her around. “Alva!” he said finally before putting her back on her feet and turning her around to face him.
“You are a face I have thought about often lately.” He smiled as he touched her nose with his finger softly. “How have you been? It's been a while.” He said as he took a step back and then looked around. “Come on.” He said as he lead her to his room where the pair could talk openly without fear of outing what they are.
Before Alva had returned to living at the mansion with the rest of the Celestials Alva had lived in an adorable little Inn which was run by a Valkyr named Thaddeus. He was one of the first people that she had connected with after her time in captivity on the Isle of Skye, Ophelia has told her to be weary of strangers and it had taken awhile for Alva to open up to Thaddeus and really even talk to him but he had made her feel normal again and as if her life could actually mean something once more. It had been such a fun place to stay with Thaddeus using his Valkyr abilities to make those staying there thinking they were seeing shadows and ghosts. It had been greatly amusing to say the least.
Standing in front of the grand and yet somewhat spooky building, Alva felt the smile pulling at her lips, a weird scene of coming home as she looked at the first building which had been her home for awhile. She had learn so much and it had been Thaddeus who had pushed her to apply at the library even though she was so scared because there was so much she still didn’t know or understand. And yet he helped her push through that and he was in fact her first actual friend. Her eyes started misting and the memories and thoughts, but with the unrest in the city and people coming after the Celestials Alva had made the decision to stay with her species since they were stronger together even though it had been one of the hardest things she had ever done.
Taking in a shaky breath she tried to calm herself before she walked into the building and stopped at the front desk. Since no one was there she decided to look at the new décor and phones which were hung on the wall, one was actually of her though all that was there was her silhouette against the darkened front of the building since Thaddeus had wanted a promotion picture with an actual building. A smile curved her lips surprised to see it on the wall. There was a sensation of darkness behind her, a bit of a cold chill went down her spin but it wasn’t unpleasant and rather familiar.
A small squeal left her lips as strong arms wrapped around her, usually at this point she would be swinging but she was well aware of who it was and it was not worth hitting him. “Thaddeus!” She managed to say through her laughter so glad that he was happy to see her. Turning around she grinned broadly at him so incredibly happy to see him after so long. “I’m sorry that it’s been so long, things have been stressful. But Ophelia has promised that things will get better and I believe her. I have really missed you though and this place! I looks great!” She stated so very proud of what he had accomplished so far. “How are you? I can’t believe how well the Inn seems to be doing!” She stated following after him and sitting down in one of the chairs. "Though I guess that's to be expected this time of year."
