From a young age, Athena have always struggled with her sleep patterns. Finding that a lot of the time she was battling with insomnia. Even with how much she tried to stop it, she couldn’t shake it. Mostly these days she blamed it on either the whole moving to a new city. New surroundings, new people or the medication she was on. Athena was sure that her siblings knew that she was struggling with sleeping again with how they were used to it by now. Athena found herself trying to clock off to sleep but her mind not letting her. With it being full of different things and worries. Whether it was simple mundane things or she had things to do. If she had ideas for her next training session with Enzo or she forgot to do something. Different things she would be thinking again that didn’t really matter too much but ones she couldn’t help to think about. All that would stop her from sleeping. Athena knew if her insomnia still was being a bother to her a few days time she’d look into booking a doctor's appointment or going to the local chemist for some pills to help it at least. Till then she knew she was awake and there was no trying to go to sleep. Athena got out of her bed choosing to get dressed that maybe a walk, getting some fresh air would help to clear her head. Something that always helped. Finding her quietly trying to sneak out of the house not wanting to wake her siblings if they still were in.

Stepping out of the house she could feel the cold winter air hitting her instantly as she started walking down the path leaving her home. Athena weren’t sure where she was walking, having not thought that far ahead. Just furthest enough to help clear her head, that she was thinking. Looking around she could see how things looked differently at night and since all the christmas lights and decorations have been taken down. Seeing how the city was still lit up but not to harshly. Before she knew where she was heading how long she’d been walking or she was finding herself further away from her home in the initia territory than she first thought. Finding she was nearer to the city than she was to where she should of been. The brunette turned looking around realizing she had no clue where she was or what way she came. Finding that she was already lost. Since she was still new to the city not knowing her way or bearings yet. It didn’t help that it was the middle of the night.  Athena went to get her phone from her pocket thinking she could use it to figure her way back home. To her disapoinment and frustration her pocket was empty. Already knowing she left it back home with how her insomnia meant she forget simple things like that.

Athena knew she was lost with no way of knowing how to get back home easily, that it was all for her to figure out on her own. Knowing that maybe a midnight walk wasn’t the best of her idea. Already feeling a little bit anxious of it, regretting her choices. The brunette initia was trying to back track the way she came, that's what most people do when they lose their way. Athena started to feel that someone was following her a horrible feeling that she couldn’t shake. Making her walk even faster hoping it all was just in her head like everything before that she's struggled with in the past. Choosing to take a left turn through into an alleyway hoping to lose whoever was following her. Quickly using it as a shortcut before turning onto the next street. Athena felt her bump into something or someone, taking her off guard. The look of fear spread across her face, as she let out a little scream thinking it was who was following her. Looking to who it was hoping it was not a serial killer with how no one else apart from her was out walking at this time.

The Valkyr couldn’t recount the last time, he had some free time on his hands. But he was actually thankful that Javier had offered to help him out with his store, nearing the end of last year. Having an Assistant; Eirik now found himself with spare time at his hands; making his schedule less hectic. And that was a good thing. Whilst he was too stubborn to admit it; that change had been long overdue, instead of him overworking himself. Even if he had been used to doing things himself, for the longest time. It had been second nature to him. That he had barely noticed.

That evening he had spent some time at a bar; socialising. He needed a few drinks to decompress. Running into a few fellow Valkyrs at the bar he was at. As well as the mundane people. It was pretty late; when Eirik had left the bar premises. Heading back towards the Valkyr compound. Finding it was a pretty quiet and peaceful night. The winter evening air, nipping at his exposed flesh. But he didn’t mind. The air felt fresh. Savouring the cool air around him, as he breathed it in. He had always preferred the cooler weather; didn’t sweat as much; as one would during the hotter months of the year. The Valkyr was deep in thought; thinking of new strategies and techniques to teach his students. When someone walked right into him. The small shriek; brought him back to reality. His brows slightly furrowed. Not the usual greeting, he got from a stranger. His hands slightly steadying her she didn’t topple over, from the impact of bumping into him.

Looking down at the young woman that had bumped into him. Eirik noticed how terrified she looked. Seeing that she was on the verge of having a panic attack. “Is everything alright miss?” Eirik questioned. Was someone following her? “Are you lost?” He didn’t recall seeing the brunette in his territory before. Unless she didn’t venture the city much...or she was a new face in the city all together, it’d explain why.

Even as a child she used to get lost if she didn’t know her way. Easily distracted not noticing where she was going or if people who was with were already too far ahead and she didn’t see where they were. So Athena was used to finding her way back thinking that tonight would be one of those nights. With how she not noticed or realized that she walked too far from where her house was. Believing she was still at the base of the mountains until she saw the skyscrapers and tall buildings that told her that she was far from home. Seeing how there was no one else crazy enough to be walking alone one late winter night. Realizing that she was all one her alone to try to find her way back. Athena hoped that she would get back home before it’s daylight. Not wanting her siblings to worry about where she was with how she slipped out late at night with not exactly telling them. Too she didn’t want anyone seeing her thinking she was crazy for being out looking half out of it. Athena panicked, overreacting almost as she felt herself bumping into someone. Not expecting for a person to come from nowhere. Or now she was thinking was he here all along and she not noticed he was there in front of her. Athena was feeling more embarrassed than anything hearing as the male was asking if she was okay. With how she knew how panicked she must of looks right now.

The brunette coughed a little, clearing her throat having just screamed a little moments ago. “Umm yes” Quickly mumbling looking down as she fiddled with her hands. Something she does when feeling nervous or anxious. “I’m kind of lost, I’ve only just moved here and I thought I knew the way back but turns out I don’t” She laughed softly, looking embarrassed but sure she wasn’t the only one whose ever go lost. “Aren’t you out a bit late too?” Raising a brow, wondering why he was out late on her own. Almost wanting to know he wasn’t some person who would kidnap and kill her because she was alone. Or maybe she wasn’t the only one who was suffering from insomnia. “I don’t make a habit of getting lost” She mused softly, wrapping her arms around herself feeling that it was starting to get a bit colder. “Sorry to bother you, I’ll find my own way back” Quickly trying to excuse herself from the embarrassing situation she was in, even if she was lying about knowing her way back. Having yet to figure that part out but wanted to pretend to tell the stranger she bumped into.

Eirik was always rather adventurous. As a child, he used to love going with his father and their men. Wanting to learn how to raid and be a true Viking, like them. Even when he got lost; that didn’t deter him from the adventure ahead. Something new and exciting was always around the corner. Or seemingly so, with the life-style he was born into. It was in his blood. And everyone always said, he learned his ways from the best; to becoming the very best, himself. Whilst he didn’t speak of his Viking heritage to many people; it never left him after becoming a Valkyr all those centuries ago. Certain things, he couldn’t let go off easily. The warrior instinct and ways were still very much in him; and always would be. Being a being of the Shadows; Eirik had easily been unspotted in the darkness of the night. No wonder, he surprised the young woman in front of him.

He wasn’t sure if the female was nervous, or maybe embarrassed? Probably both. When she told him that she was new and lost. It made sense to the Valkyr. He knew it was common for new-comers, to get lost in the city. “Ah, that can happen, when you’re new to a city.” He gave her a slight smile, understanding her situation. Chuckling a little, as she questioned why he was out so late. “I’ve always been a night owl.” But being a Valkyr, it held more meaning than it did in his human days. “I was, just heading home from a night out at the bar. When you run into me.” He said honestly. Eirik wasn’t prepared to run into a new-comer in the city, at this hour. But guess, she was in luck. Maybe he could help her find her way back home.
As she tried to excuse herself. Eirik rose a sharp eyebrow, trying not to chuckle. “You just admitted, you didn’t know your way around the city.” he pointed out. “It’s late, and who knows what could be lurking out here.” Especially with all the bad things going around the city lately, it wasn’t safe for her. “Where abouts do you live?” he questioned, if he knew the general area, he could at least help. “The least I can do, is help you get home.” Safely. He mentally added to himself.

Athena thought maybe she was not making the best of starts. Almost by now she was used to having awkward first meetings for far. Starting off with how she let herself into Enzo’s home thinking it was the way things work. Soon finding it wasn’t but luckily it didn’t matter so much ending up having his help all along. Finding things all worked out in the end hoping that this too would be one. That she’ll find her way back home somehow. It wasn’t her plan to get lost and not to find herself bumping into a stranger in the night either. Athena was too embarrassed to take much notice of the male not even thinking to look at him properly. With how she knew there was a fair chance he was supernatural too. Almost starting to regret her choices of moving into a city full of supernaturals. Knowing she’ll find herself in a situation like these at some point. With how it wasn’t the first and she knew it wouldn’t be the last time she’ll get lost wandering around to different places. Just this time she found she wasn’t alone that surprised her the most.

She couldn’t help but laugh hearing his comment about how she wasn't the first one to get lost how it was normally normal. ‘I’m not used to living in or near a big city” She pointed out to how it was easily done. “I’m a night owl too, I have trouble sleeping at times so I thought talking a walk would help but clearly not” She mused softly, giving him a small smile. Almost telling him how she ended up here. “Oh right” She nodded looking around seeing now some lit up bar lights around seeing a few people were starting to leave. Seeing now it was where he had come from. Athena thought it was best for her to leave already embarrassing herself already in front of someone who she didn’t know. Quickly thinking he wouldn’t have caught on and remembered how she said she was lost but he did. “I thought I had gotten away with it” She joked laughing a little knowing she couldn’t try to find her way back on her own. “They do say the shadows are dangerous” She commented sounding serious hinting she knew from experience. Athena wasn’t too sure if it was best to tell him where he lived since he’d know straight away what she was. “How do I know your not  serial killer who will follow me back and kill me?” Pointing out raising her brows all serious to know if it was safe to trust him or not. Not knowing what was real or who to trust these days.

The Valkyr hadn’t been expecting to bump into anyone. Certainly not this beauty, whom was new to the city. But it seemed like his evening, was about to get a lot more interesting. Meeting new people in the city, never hurt. Right? He could sense a different aura around her. But he wasn’t entirely too sure of what her species were. But knowing she wasn’t exactly human. She didn’t have the scent of one.

“I take it, you lived somewhere remote, or a small town?”He questioned,as she admitted to not being used to a big city and the likes. Not everyone was accustomed to that sort of life. At least not easily. Nodding slightly, as she mentioned she had trouble sleeping. Slightly chuckling, as she mentioned that an evening walk didn’t help her. “That bad huh?” he teased. But judging by her previous reaction to him; it wasn’t the best experience. Not that he meant to freak her out, but she did bump into him first. He lightly chuckled shaking his head. “Nope, nothing slips past me that easily.” Eirik commented truthfully, as she joked about getting away with it. Besides, he knew a person in need of help; when he saw one. And she was one of them. Her comment about the shadows was interesting. But judging by her expression; she had a bad experience. Whilst he wouldn’t hurt her, there could be others around this city that would. Especially wandering rogues that were hiding.

The Valkyr rose a slight eyebrow at her question. “If I wanted to hurt you, I would have done so already.” The comment might have been bold, but it was truthful. But those were not his intentions. Eirik wouldn’t hurt an innocent. “You can either accept my help, and feel better knowing you got home safely…..or I let you go, but that means you might run into trouble, around a city you don’t know very well.” Especially at this time of the night. Whom knows what would happen if he let her wander off alone. Eirik pointed out. But raised his hands slightly. “Choice is yours.” Hopefully, she’d figure out, he meant no harm and really wanted to help her. But he could see where she was coming from, with her question. It wasn’t often that people could be trusted. Not in this day and age.

At times she felt like a fish out of water. Always taking her a while to get used to things when going somewhere new. Whether it be to getting used to the way things work or to where things were. Seeing i was the reason to how she gets lost quite often. This time she wasn’t so alone. Athena nodded her head as he asked her if she lived somewhere smaller explaining a little more. “Not used to the city life clearly” She joked, grinning a little trying to not feel so embarrassed in front of person who she bumped into. Athena hated how her insomnia gets the better of her causing to find her in situations she wants to avoid. Finding when she wants to sleep it’s no use then times when she doesn't want to sleep she does. Not working both ways. A never ending nuisance. it was. “Hmm yeah no normal person would choose to take a walk when it's the middle of the night if they weren’t wide awake” Muttering sarcastically making light of it. “It nearly did” Challenging him almost teasing him softly.  Athena was still feeling unsure whether to trust him or not. With how she didn’t make a habit of trusting people she didn’t know let alone ones she bumped into the middle of the night. Although she knew she was starting to run out of ideas knowing too well she wouldn’t be able to figure and find her way back for daylight comes. Maybe having him as guide wouldn't be so bad would it? She thought to herself, pondering the reasons to trust the stranger or not.

Athena was waiting to find out how he would react to her question asking if he would murder her if she trusted him. Seeing how he even raised a brow slightly as he said if he was he would of done it already. Even calling her out for her stubbornness something nobody does. “Fineee” Giving in accepting his help that she kept saying she didn’t need but really did. “Only because I am really lost and soon I’ll start to get tired so” Pointing out her reasons giving him the benefit of the doubt, knowing she couldn’t stand arguing over it knowing that it’ll get her nowhere. “You know if I’m going to let you show me how to get home, we at least need to know each other's names. Or we’re going to walk in silence” She went on to say. With how she knew it’ll be quite a walk to where her home was thinking that maybe she’ll get to know him a bit better with how she couldn’t keep calling him a stranger or person potential plotting to kill her.

The girl had a good sense of humor. Eirik could tell that much, from the first few moments. “I am sure, you’ll adjust sooner or later. Everyone does.” It was just a matter of time. Hearing her comment about walking in the middle of the night. Eirik tried not to chuckle. Her sarcasm was amusing. “It doesn’t make you abnormal either.” She wasn’t the first person, that couldn’t sleep in this city. There were quite a few people that suffered from the same issues and were night owls as a resort. He rose an eyebrow, at her playful challenge. “I wouldn’t be so sure of that.” He smirked, flashing her a playful wink. Knowing the city quite well, especially his own territory. Athena would be much safer with him, than alone trying to get back home.

She was stubborn. It’s been a while, since he had bit of a challenge with someone so stubborn. As she finally gave in. Eirik was relieved; she could see that she needed help herself. Or things could have gone south really quickly; if he left her to her own devices. “Silence isn’t my option.” He replied, as she mentioned names. The former Viking had an idea. Something that would make the walk a bit more amusing and the name process a bit longer. “How about, I try and guess your name? And you try and guess mine?” At least it’d keep them talking and keep her distracted, from the thought of sleep. “What do you think? Think you’re up to the challenge?” Eirik wondered if she’d amuse him by going along with the game, or try and wiggle her way out of it. But since they had a good walk ahead of them. Hopefully they could get to know each other. A new connection within the city, was always a good thing. Especially for Newcomers like Athena. But he couldn’t help but be curious about her.

Athena could already get the sense that there’s always new people around to the city most of the time by the way he said that people always adjust. Thinking that it was right where she heard of the city being a scanion for people like her looking for a new life with people who were just like her. Different. “If after a while I still don’t find my way maybe I’ll have to ask for some more directions” Athena joked laughing softly to how she might get lost again knowing for what she was like. “Although I’m stupid enough to go out without their mobile phone or anything at night” Adding to how she was the more stupid of the ones of forgetting something thats mostly glued to peoples hands these days. Only showing how messed up her insomnia was at the moment but a wake up call to try to do something about it. “It could have” Challenging and winking back to the stranger. Who she was now going to start putting her faith and trust in if she has any luck to get back home before it’s daylight. Running out of time.

It wasn't often when she’d find herself asking the help of a stranger. Athena was quite stubborn and stuck in her ways. It was why she was so persistent in saying no to his help before she came to realise that it was no use and that she did need help. Taking it rather than keep saying no that she’s been doing. Athena was happy to hear that he wanted to keep talking whilst they walk. At least she’ll start to get to know the stranger who was now helping her get home. A name guessing game was something she’s never done or thought to do. Her name was quite rare not coming across anyone before sharing the same name with how she’s called after an Egyptian goddess. “A name guessing game that may take a while” Finding it amusing thinking of the idea of it. “Sure why not, we do have time to kill” Pointing out with how she didn’t even know how far her home was or how long it’ll take them. Athena turned to look at the stranger trying to look at him more closely trying to almost figure out who he looked like. More difficult with how she’s not good at guessing names let alone with someone she didn’t know. “I’m guessing it’s more of an old name” Commenting gently to how she was hinting how he seemed older and mature. In a way almost able to guess how he was supernatural without needing to ask, sensing and being more aware nowadays.

Eirik raised a slight eyebrow at her words; she really had been insistent on doing this alone. But he didn’t think taking that chance was very wise. Not everyone around the city was that nice. Knowing there were some bad eggs lurking around the different territories. Eirik shook his head, as she mentioned she forgot her phone. “Well, you’ll just have to use me as map instead.” he joked. If she had her phone on her; she would have had light and google maps, to get her home. But, instead; she found him. Since the Valkyr knew the city, he would help her get back to her home; where ever that was. “And what makes you so sure of that?” Eirik tilted his head slightly, at the young Initia that, bumped into him that evening. “I am very vigilant. Things don’t slip past me easily.” But he found it cute, she thought she could have gotten away with it.

He half was expecting that he’d need to try and talk her into helping her out a little bit more. But it was a relief, she accepted. “Are you always so stubborn?” Slight amusement, across his face. As she commented the game might take some time. “Last time I checked, we’ve got plenty of time.” The former Viking smirked. Since she seemed, like she had been walking around plenty of time; he figured her home wasn’t so close by.But she agreed. Letting her go first; since she was a lady. Despite his tough looking exterior; he had gentleman tendencies. “You’re Intuitive...I like that.” He replied, as she commented his name was seemingly old. But, she probably had no idea, just how old he really was. “But you’re right. Mine is an old name.” Maybe even older than he was. If she would guess, what species he was; then he’d be colored impressed.

Eirik glanced over at her, as he walked by her side. Leading her through the Valkyr territory. Taking her in silence. “I am guessing, your name is old too; In regards to History.” She seemed like the sort of person that'd be named after someone important in history. Eirik didn’t think any ordinary name would suit her.

Athena could be a little bit adventurous when she wants to do it. When she was younger she was always the one to do things spur of the moment. Never the one to think of all of the dos and don’ts of it all. Back to the time when she was more carefree, to take trips to places she’s never been. If it was by herself with others. Seeking the places that were most kept secret. Liking weird and wondrous things. Athena hopes maybe with being in this new city she’s able to get back the part of her that's been missing for years. Wanting to get her life back on track again, not to let anything stop her. Now thinking maybe getting lost in a city she was still new to was a sign that there’s more for her to explore and see but when it’s daylight. “Oh I know” Raising a brow pretending how she could fool people but maybe not him. “You never know” Athena continued to tease him even if really she couldn’t. Seeing how he was able to notice she was lost enough to need help to find her way whilst most people would simply walk away but he didn’t. She couldn’t help to roll her eyes as he called her stubborn even if she knew it was the truth. “It’s a gift and a curse” Pointing out shrugging her shoulders but could see if she didn't mind her stubbornness. With no phone she wasn't sure on what the time was but thinking maybe it wasn't as late as she thought. “That's true” Nodding her head a little, as they were starting to walk to the direction that she was thinking she had come from. Athena was surprised as he said how she was Intuitive, never having anyone say that to her before. “I’m good at sensing things, picking up on the little things” She admitted smiling thinking how he was the same as her noticing the little things. Athena was right to tell his name was old one, seeing his reaction a little when she made the comment seeing she was right. “Mines unique” She was sure there were plenty of people with the same name as her, probably whose parents believed and were into greek mythology like hers were.

Things were starting to come back to her feeling that she was more awake than before. Starting to see how things were more familiar than before how it was coming back to her with finding her way back. Athena now remembering the way she had come, all becoming clearer now. Turning to look at the stranger who was helping her find her way. “I think I know the way I come now, I don’t think I actually walked that far thinking of it” She started to say admitting that she was remembering. “I live near the mountain base settlement, if you could point me in the general direction. I’ll be fine” Letting him know where she lives and confident enough to find her way back, with how long as she knows her way she’d be all fine finding her home. Searching through her coat pocket she found a pen that she pulled out turning to him. “How about I give you my number then maybe you can give me a proper tour of the city in the daylight” She grinned a little taking his hand and writing on the back of the hand her number along with her name. Giving into the game already. “Maybe I’ll see then if I can find out your name or you can keep me guessing. Thanks for your help” Continuing to tease him a little how she was skipping before she could even guess her name. Athena wanted to get home before daylight yet letting him know she wanted to see him again. Turning around the brunette walked away almost seeing if she was someone he wanted to see again in a way or if thought maybe she was a crazy person.

Eirik could sense there was something mysterious about the young woman. And he had a liking for the mysterious. It kept people guessing. And in some aspects, he too liked people guessing. The Valkyr was amused, as to how she think she could fool him. “You’ll have to try much much harder, to try and fool me.” he mused playfully. At least the girl had some sense of a humor, that she was teasing him back. The former Viking, looked curious as she said it was both a gift and a curse. “Mhh, if people can handle your stubbornness, it’s not so bad.” he chuckled. He had a knack for dealing with stubborn people. Hell, he could be stubborn as anything himself too. And it usually took a lot for him to back down, or admit he was being stubborn about something.

“It’s a good skill to possess.” Eirik said with a genuine smile. Might save her life, if she was in danger. “A unique name, for a unique beauty. I wouldn’t have thought any less.” he mused, flashing her one of his charming winks. Now, what name was both old in aspects of history and unique? That got the Valkyr thinking for a few moments. Making a mental list of names, he thought would fit the Initia female. But at the moment, none of the names on his list, seemed to cut it.
After a while, it seemed like something had came back to Athena. Eirik looked a little relieved, she recognised at least something. Otherwise, they might be walking in circles. He nodded slightly. “As long as you’re sure.” Eirik was a little reluctant to leave her alone. But if she thought she knew the way, he had to trust that she’d find her way home. Judging by the location she had given him. She was a Initia. Another Initia, in my life. He thought to himself. “The mountain base is roughly West East.” he informed her. Gesturing in the right direction also. “If you keep in that direction, you’ll see the mountains in the distance and should come upon the Mountain base.” She surprised him, with her bold move, as she took his hand; writing her phone number and name on his hand. “Giving away the game, huh?” he asked with a teasing chuckle. Athena. “I was about to guess Athena. A very fitting name.” he said smirking. The Valkyr lightly chuckled. “I think, I’ll keep you guessing for a while longer.” he teased back. Wondering if she would guess his name off her own accord. “You’re welcome. Glad I could help. I’ll text you tomorrow, maybe we can arrange that tour. Have a safe journey back home and some rest, Athena.” Watching her skip away. The Valkyr stayed there for a few moments. Making sure, she was heading in the right direction. Smiling to himself.
