Lending a helping hand (Rosabelle and Lachlan closed)
It was a dark night when Rosabelle got off work when she decided to meet the Alpha of Alphas. Rosabelle wasn’t used to meeting new people but since he was her alpha, she needed to meet him. While making her way over, Rosabelle made sure she looked presentable as she wanted to make sure she was presentable for her alpha. Once she got to Lachlan’s house, she knocked and waited as she kept her senses up due to her past. Dom had told her that she was safe in Evermore but Rosabelle was still nervous and scared that the men might come after her.
Rosabelle straightened her jacket and held her bag closed before she heard the door open. She was startled alittle as she looked at him. Her eyes examined him as he looked tired and overwhelmed. “H-Hi, umm I am Rosabelle Grey? I just wanted to meet you since you are the Alpha.” She said softly before she looked down at the ground in nervousness. “W-Would you like some help?” She asked as she glanced at him for a moment, “You look tired and look like you need help.” She said nervously as Rosabelle didn’t want to offend the Alpha.
The Ailuranthrope looked at her alpha to see if he would like her help, even thought she wanted to help her alpha to get some rest and not feel overwhelmed. “I-I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make it sound like that.” She said nervously as she looked down at the ground again as she kept standing there nervously. “I can leave if you want me to.” She said as she looked at him for a moment before looking back down.

Rosabelle could tell that she made Lachlan happy with her giggle as she could feel the atmosphere around the two get lighter while they talked. When she saw his smile when she mentioned learning how to cook, Rosabelle smiled and listened as she felt his hand hold hers. His words made her think more and also made her feel that deep down she does belong here in Lachlan’s pack. “I-It would be nice to make nicer memories than I already have.” She said in a slight joking manner as she smiled. “Plus, I feel if I cook and host more, I could get more courage to talk and be more open to people.” She explained as she looked at him.
She was a bit nervous as he mentioned his academy days which she knew he would pick up on it. As he spoke about how takeout could be pricey, Rosabelle nodded as she smiled softly. When he spoke about how each meal will be a piece of her and make her feel accomplished. Rosabelle smiled and nodded. “Yea. I may not have much of a paycheck but still I can help around the firehouse and maybe cook for them once in a while to keep practicing.” She said as she looked at him.
When the topic changed alittle to the pack as she did mention that she would be overwhelmed with meeting the pack, Rosabelle felt him squeeze her hands gently as she listened to him. Hearing that Lachlan was going to be there with each step of the way to support her, Rosabelle smiled as she was happy, she had someone to be there as she knew it would still be scary in her eyes meeting new people besides, Lachlan and Dominic. Rosabelle had meet Dominic’s friend Sapphire but only briefly.
Rosabelle’s eyes held Lachlan’s gaze as she could sense his sincerity and encouragement to embrace the new chapter in her life. Well, more like a new chapter in her new life as she knew the old her would be in the past while she would grow and learn more with all the new kind people around her. She listened to him talk about how she could push past the fear and told her that she will find her place her by taking one step at a time. “Thank you Lachlan, your words are making me feel a lot better about being on this new journey

When she mentioned helping out at the firehouse, Lachlan’s heart swelled with pride. “That’s a fantastic idea! They’ll appreciate your efforts, and you’ll gain invaluable experience. Plus, it’s a great way to bond with them. Maybe we can even have a cook-off sometime!” He chuckled, imagining the friendly competition that could arise from such an event between the firehouse and police.
As the conversation shifted back to the topic of the pack, Lachlan felt a sense of responsibility to reassure her. He could see the flicker of apprehension in her eyes but also the glimmer of determination. “Meeting new people can be daunting, but remember, every member of the pack has been in your shoes at some point. They’ll understand and be supportive. And I promise, you won’t be alone. I’ll be with you, introducing you and helping you find your footing.”
Lachlan held her gaze, his sincerity evident as he continued. “This new journey is a chance for you to grow and discover the incredible person you are meant to be. Embrace it, and know that you have a whole community behind you. Thank you for trusting me to be part of it. Your courage is inspiring, Rosabelle, and I can’t wait to see all the amazing things you’ll accomplish.”

Rosabelle smiled when Lachlan nodded and encouraged her about her goal on hosting and opening up more with cooking. Listening to his words, Rosabelle smiled as she nodded. “Yea Hopefully I can learn more about cooking, plus I can share at the fire house when they are off on a call.” She said softly as she looked at table. A sense of overwhelming joy came to Rosabelle as she talked with Lachlan. When they talked more about the firehouse, Rosabelle nodded and chuckled when he mentioned a cook off. “Yea that would be fun.” She said as chuckled more.
As the conversation went back to the pack topic, Rosabelle could tell that he was reassuring her that she listened to his words. “Yea, I understand that. Its just..” She said as she looked at him when he spoke about not being alone. “I-I am still worried that they wont like me or accept me.” She said as she looked at him. Rosabelle could tell that Lachlan was reassuring her that the pack has been in her shoes when joining in. “Thank you.” She said as she listened to him talk about how he will be there to introduce her and help her find her footing.
When Lachlan held her gaze, Rosabelle listened to him talk about this new journey she was taking and it will help her grow and discover the person she was meant to be. “Thank you Lachlan, It has been hard with everything and I’m still getting used to the supernatural world along with being a Therian.. But thank you for helping me through this. I really appreciate it.” Rosabelle spoke as she smiled softly .
