The Day Her Life Changed for the better (Closed for Dominic and Rosabelle)

After watching her parents die, Rosabelle was taken to the hide out of the biker group called The Nightshade Rebels. They weren't kind to her but did make sure she was bandaged and let her heal for a few weeks after she was kidnapped. Rosabelle wore a raggedy old shirt that one of the men gave her that stopped at her knees due to her small form. She was only 14 when the men would tell her to get them things like food or beers. Rosabelle even cleaned the hang out which was deep into the woods.

This continued for a few more years as the bikers would leave her for days at a time, sometimes locked in her closet like bedroom. Rosabelle heard the motorcycles pull up as she stood ready to be let out to clean or even cook for the 13 bikers. The leader, Levi opened her door and pulled her out roughly. "Ok girl get to work on food for the boys." He said with a rough voice. Rosabelle nodded as she started cooking at the small kitchen. While the men sat and laughed while she cooked, Rosabelle made sure she cooked the food for them but felt off. Being 16, Rosabelle could tell something was different about her but waved it off when she heard Levi yell about food. She quickly finished the food and gave the plates to each of the men before sitting down next to the closet.

Listening to the men chewing and them laugh at things made Rosabelle's ears ring which she winced in pain at the ringing as it kept going. Rosabelle continued to look down at her feet when she held back the tears from the ringing growing louder and louder while the men grew louder with their laughter. Before Rosabelle could look up, the door busted down by a rather large man. She quickly reacted by getting in the closet and hiding. The ringing grew louder as it drowned out the sounds of the men getting their buttons kicked by a small group of people.

Rosabelle looked at him as she could tell he was watching her when he spoke. She giggled and smiled as she ate her slice of pizza. Her mind was wondering as she ate. After being kidnapped once when she was a baby and then getting kidnapped by a biker group that killed her parents in front of her. Rosabelle just thought more as she closed her eyes, slowly letting all her trauma sink into her brain. Her stomach growled at the smell of the pizza again as she went to down some more. Her ears picked up the sound of the pop from Dominic's can of beer. The scent of it made her wince at the smell, her nose wrinkled as she could remember giving the group beers all the time when they demanded her to do things.

Her eyes looked at Dominic as she could tell he was drowning his emotions with booze and pizza. Meanwhile when he spoke about her slowing down, Rosabelle nodded and slowed down as she didnt want to get sick. Rosabelle finished off about five or six more slices before he spoke once more about how his friends would help her get into the pack and how she will be able to find friends and have a new family with them.  Her eyes started to tear up as she listened to him talk about how other therianthropes could help her figure out the new world she was in and help her through things. "I-I dont know how to make friends." she siad as she looked at him. "I feel if I make a friend or even join a pack, they will be taken away from me... like my parents." She said softly as she stood up. "Its hard to think that I could possibly live happily here...after the stuff I have seen and have been through...I dont know how to trust anyone. I trust you because you saved me...and Im very grateful for that. But what if the pack doesnt want someone as weak as me?" She asked as she turned and looked at him.

Dominic could see the sudden shift in her mood. The water that lined her eyes. He put the beer down and wondered what he might've said that triggered the tears that were on the verge of spilling. He sat up in the stool and sighed at her worries, empathy taking over. He knew what it was like to have a parent ripped away. Friends ripped away. Hell, it happened just tonight. He supposed he wasn't setting the best example right now with the intent of getting a little tipsy just to kill some of the pain. This was why he wasn't meant to be a mentor. He was good with the punching of the bad guys, but not so much with the coddling of their victims.

The wolf stood, following her lead and nodded his head for Rosabelle to follow him. He headed over to the balcony and slid the heavy glass open to head out onto the small balcony. He leaned against the metal railing and glanced out over the winking lights of the city that began several blocks away. Dark waves lapping quietly over the river that separated them from the city and woods. Once she had joined him, Dom sighed and began speaking, still gazing out over the city. "I was alone. Severely messed up too. In a lot of ways," he looked out across the sea of lights as if he could see straight through to the manor. "Someone took me in when I didn't deserve it. I was a broody asshole. Well, more broody than I am now. I was making all the wrong decisions and was on the road to prison or death."

The wolf turned to her, putting his back against the railing. "I know you don't have the best examples of people looking out for you. The pack here doesn't discriminate. Even though I'm not a part of it, I know how they operate. They are welcoming of all therians. With the ailwards and pack looking out for you, you'll be fine. It'll work itself out in time. I promise. Plus, you can always call me if you need to. There are a lot of resources available to you, Rose. Way better ones than just me and what I can offer in words. The pack looks out for each other."

Rosabelle looked at him, watching him as she followed him to the balcony. Her eyes looked out at the city as she heard him talk. Listening, Rosabelle turned her head as she watched him turn around and his back was against the railing. Hearing him talk about how the pack doesn't discriminated and how he wasn't a part of the pack but he knew how they operated. Rosabelle continued to listen as she then looked back at the city lights. Once he finished talking, Rosabelle sighed softly. "They may not discriminate but still" She said, slowly doubting herself. "Even if they accept me...I-I dont think I will be able to be fully accepted...once they know what happened to me." She said as she stopped.

The young therian sighed as she looked at him. "I dont know.. all these feelings are finally resurfacing after suppressing them for so long and I dont know how to how to express it or.." She stopped and growled as she gripped the railing. "I-I dont know what to do anymore.." She said softly as she slipped to her knees. "W-What do I do? I-I dont know what im doing." She said as she looked over at him. Her body shaking from all her emotions being expressed all in one spot.
