A world bathed in light. Sun streaming through every window, the world turning slowly again and again, marking the time passing by the shadows the sun cast across the world. Kaven, a sickly blonde little boy, was raised in a small shack of a house in the Outback of Texas. Now, Texas was one of those places where life was easy, yet…difficult for outsiders to understand. They called them, rednecks, but in reality, Texan people were nothing more than what were known as Hippies. Close knit communities that surrounded new borns with gifts, communities who helped raise young and shared their values.
The Jacobs family lived off the land, their land, a large bountiful ranch filled to the brim with livestock, horses and memories. Memories that little Kaven held close. Kaven was born to Peter Jacobs and his wife Leigh-Anne, neither wanted a child, nor were parent-material but they made the best of it, coming from a Nephilim tribe, there were many others that Kaven could learn from. The outback that Kaven grew up in had 5 families surrounding the Jacobs ranch, all of which had different talents. One was versed in weapons, the other hand to hand, another with survival skills and many more tricks and talents that a man would need to know.
Growing up, Kaven learnt to fight, he learnt their fighting methods, Pain infliction, how to heal ones self using what the earth gives and Clairsentience. Everything a Nephilim could ever hope for, none of it from his Father mind…The Nephilim bloodline that ran through the people around him meant that from the age of 8, Kaven began noticing small marks blemishing his perfectly porcelain flesh, one of which he was told would tell him his future, but the blonde boy didn’t want anything to do with it.
Suffocated in the outback, Kaven took his Stallion Bolt in the middle of the night, the evening of his 18th birthday and never looked back. He and Bolt rode all the way to Colorado, a little town called Evermore. The city was filled with the Supernatural, the purple tinge in his optics seeming to out everyone. He knew each species, their little tips and tricks. He became impeccable at noticing peoples tells, and this ranged further from Species detection, to the telling of lies. Kaven Jacobs became a walking Polygraph and that made him valuable to the Police force.
The comet that hit Evermore brought with it Kaven’s Immortality, he stopped aging at 22, keeping his youthful blonde curls. Evermore brought with it a job on the force, where he worked as their Polygrapher since turning 26, his job gave him little time a personal life, but that didn’t matter to him.
Evermore was fruitful for the Nephilim. He was able to obtain a house, a car, dogs and he kept his loyal Stallion until the beast died of old age peacefully. His life was simple, work, pets and little downtime…But Kaven still managed to train every week and his immortality hasn’t become a burden to him…Yet.
