Erythreus had been hoarded up in his room for days now, but it wasn't anything out of the unusual for him. He needed to protect and serve his purpose. He much despised how people took their lives for granted here, seeing as most of them lived in luxury. Sure, everyone in Evermore had a story, but were they thankful to be breathing today? Probably not. Erythreus stood to his feet, and heard the voice of a ghost, the two brothers who beat him on a daily, and gave him no time to recover before pushing him forward to kill more innocent people. "YOUR LEGS STILL WORK!!" those words stuck, after all the years that had passed, those were the words that haunted him most.

Looking down to his legs, he chuckled, they did indeed still work, and with that he wandered over to his wardrobe, pulling out a black t-shirt, black leather pants, his black leather jacket and his grunge boots. Quickly showering, he shrugged into his clothes and headed out of his room, being stopped by one of the other who resided in the aliward manor. "Are you okay?" they asked. Those who resided here, never seen Ery out of his room, so it was odd indeed "I'm fine, im going out ... for a drink" he said in a very kryptic tone, and departed the manor. Hopping into his sleek black  Volvo and sped out into the night.

Erythreus hadn't visited Vampire/Dhampir territory in some time now, but he wanted to check on those he was assigned to protect; the dead .. both here and the underworld. It didn't take him long to get there, and when he did he made his presence known as he walked into a small club .. or it was small to him anyways, and he definitely didn't fit in .. this wasn't his scene but its where most of who he protected like to linger. The music was loud and the smoke was intoxicating, nearly choking him, but he brushed it off and headed for the bar.

"Whiskey.. neat" he said simply. As he waited for his drink, he fiddled with the jukebox "modern age bullshit" he ,muddered but as he flicked through the songs, he got the evil eye from just about everyone in there, as he changed it from dance music to something  he could get into Slash - Starlight

despite the evil looks from everyone around him, he smirked and began nodding his head, singing along to the song... it had been a very long time since Ery had some fun, and whether the people around him were amused or not, he was amused himself so he didn't care. He hopped onto the bar after downing his drink

"Oh Starlight, don't you cry we're gonna make it right before tomorrow
Oh Starlight, don't you cry we're gonna find a place where we belong (where we belong)
And so you know, you'll never shine alone"  he sang loudly, looking down to a blonde who sat alone, with more than a few empty glasses in front of her. The song ended, and people clapped, he had changed their frowning faces to smiles, not that he meant to but he took a bow and sat in the seat beside of her "IS this seat taken?" he questioned and tapped on the bartop for a refill.

"Are you waiting on someone, I don't want to intrude" he stated as he brought his second glass to his lips, not being able to help but wonder why she had all those empty glasses in front of her "its nice to see a woman drink her troubles away, but you must realize, your issues will be there when the alcohol is gone"

Serena was the definition of a workaholic. If she´d been allowed to work 24/7 she would. The normally annoyingly happy blonde, who seemed to have it at all, wealth, beauty, career, had not been seen showing off her bright white smile or heard laughing for over 24 hours which was very unusual as the doctor almost always was joyful when she worked.

The reason why the young surgeon hadn't been her happy self was partly due to a decision she had to make. The chief of the hospital had asked her to assist on one of his new projects. The project however ment less time with actually patients. She knew research was important to and lead to breakthroughs but wasn´t really her area. Besides she didn´t want to disappoint anyone. Not the chief not her one year long waiting list she had.

The main reason behind the vampires sad feelings wasn´t the decision making, this morning one patient had decreased because they hadn´t been admitted in time. It was nothing she could´ve done but she still felt guilty. It was heartbreaking news to the compassionate doctor that she couldn´t do anything but stare helplessly at her patient while his life slowly faded. Her mortality rate was very low and deaths almost never happened on her watch but when they did it broke her.

Devastated over the lost of patient Serena had decided to take the rest off the night off, which rarely happened. So after making sure that the people she could save had everything they needed until she returned, the vampire left the hospital by foot. She didn´t know were she was headed, her life pretty much surrounded around her work. Going out being social wasn´t really her thing. Should she go for a jog? No she was to exhausted for that so she just walked and found herself at a bar not far from the hospital.

The blonde had just drowned her 5th glas of water, drinking was nothing Serena had done earlier in life and she wasn´t starting now, to informed of what alcohol could lead to, a male approached her. "It´s water, but thank you for the concern Sir" She informed him smiling friendly always polite even when she wasn´t in her best mood. It was kind of him to wonder. "And to answer your first questions no the seat is not taken and I am not waiting for someone"

"You know... you're only drowning your insides ... as a doctor you should know that much water will kill you" he stated, in a probably rude manner, not that he meant to. "And, you're welcome" he nodded, before snatching up another glass of whiskey "this however... will do the trick.. live a little" he stated, sliding one her way, whether she took it or not was her choice, he was here for his own brooding reasons.

"Someone as beautiful as you don't look right in a place like this, what's got you so distraught miss?" he questioned with a coy smirk adorning his features. But Erythreus himself was distraught, which led his finger to the jukebox, flicking through until he found a song, one that made him wonder if he was in over his head with another certain blonde .. as Save My Soul started playing ... he ordered another round of shots. She battled demons by herself until now, he didn't know how she'd survived this long, but it did make her the strongest woman he knew.

Snapping back to the present, and the blonde he was currently sitting with, he glanced at her. "Dog die?.. someone shoot your panda bear?" he asked, trying to brighten her dull mood, but perhaps he'd just went about it the wrong way. Ery was socially awkward as it was. HE knew he was playing with fire, when he was out in the public, he could feel the burn... but Erythreus had to somehow blend in like others did, he rememberd so many years ago when an elderly woman screamed Vampire at him, and he had to leave his home.... again.

He wanted to connect with those like him, Vampires; he was afterall, protector of death both here and the underworld. "So you're single then? a hot blonde like you, not waiting for someone to come scoop you up or have a drink with you... what a shame" he muttered into his glass as he gulped down the next, one shot after another slurred his speech but it took way more than this to put him on his ass. "We should go dance" he said, chuckling, but he wanted to brighten her mood whatever it took. Plus, for the time being he needed to get Siobhan's face out of his head, and the demons she battled.. it really had his brooding self distraught.

Some might have found Erythreus honest blurting offending, rude even but Serena found it some how refreshing. This behavior was common among people with a brain tumor located in the frontal lobe. They blurted whatever came to mind without filter not able to understand whether their words hit a sensitive spot or not. Almost like a child or drunken person. Serena didn´t believe this man´s blurting was a result of cancer. He guessed he was just social awkward like her. Their awkwardness however showed in completely different ways. While Ery said whatever crossed his mind Serena thought everything through very carefully spinning it a thousand times before saying it to ensure it wouldn´t hurt anyone.

"I can´t I'm on call tonight" The blonde explained kindly rejecting his offer. "Your a good karaoke singer" Vampires were often high strung creatures who wanted compliments themselves not handing them out. Compliments made Serena uncomfortable another trait separating her from her faction. The doctor ignored his flattering comments but saw that there was something bothering him. Reading people and listening had always been her strong suit, even when she hadn´t had the best days she was always willing to help selfless to the bone.

"No nothing like that, but enough about me, may I ask what brings you here I can see that you battling demons of your own, you don´t have to tell me if you don´t want to but if you want to lighten your heart I am here" Formulating words without overstepping was difficult after all she had just meet this male. If he would feel better talking about something else about her non existing love life or dance she would agree. It wasn´t her scene but she would help him this blurting stranger

He couldn't tell if she was annoyed by his random outbursts of blurting out whatever came to his mind or not, but she was kind about it either way. She was different from the rest, everything about her stood out to him.. she seemed to have some sort of shine that no other Vampire did. Not even himself. Ery nodded when she said she couldn't go to the dance floor, she was on call tonight.. "Okay doctor..." he paused for a moment, noticing her name tag "Hamilton" he added.

She then asked the dreaded question, what brought a social outcast like him out here... it was a number of things. But, Siobhan was the biggest reason he wanted to drown his insides with alcohol, then perhaps miss doctor lady next to him could determine liver cancer after he was done with all the drinks. He shrugged though and looked to her. "Ya know, the usual .. fighting demons, protecting the dead" he whispered, he didn't want others hearing what he was saying, and he normally didn't share anything with anyone. But with his brain cells swimming through the alcohol he was consuming, he was liable to say anything tonight.,

He decided to use her own words though, "enough about me though, i told you my reason, sharing is caring.. what brought you here? what's wrong? come on it can't be that bad to have a shoulder to lean on, you can use mine anytime" he said, smirking her way, she was definitely a looker, but there was something he couldn't shake for the time being to let a woman in his life... he was afraid of that, and while he handled another certain blonde's issues... relationships weren't safe, since he was risking his well not risking anything, he was nearly unkillable,

Running his fingers over the jukebox again, he decided to play something different, the last song meant something to him because of Siobhan. Playing dead by april - crying over you he began singing to doctor lady, even the screaming part... Ery hid these talents, but thankful to the liquor, he let all sides of him show tonight... but something had her bothered, and even if he had to be a jackass, he was trying to brighten her mood. "You know you like it" he said, winking at her before he started bobbing his head back and fourth... Erythreus did love his screamo and death metal music... it was more in his lane.

Being an outsider wasn´t what people wished for. Feeling normal vital to most beings even in a world like this where standing out and doing your own thing was characteristic for this era. Standing out but still sticking to the norm. Serena had always blended in or so she thought but thinking back she probably hadn´t. Judging by her looks and family she was expected to be a veil mean girl dating the football star. Instead she was intelligent and kind traits not what people wanted from a face like hers. In the vampire faction she was known to be a freak. Neither evil or murderous. It didn´t really made you friends so she never visited her faction house.

"You can call me Serena Sir" As he spoke she realized who he was. She had heard that the Aliward aspects had left Skye but hadn´t encountered anyone yet. This strange fellow was the aspect of death Erythreus her smart mind puzzled. Wasn´t he suppose to have a guard with him at all times? Anyhow his short speech didn´t reveal much of his inner fight. Had she been more forward she´d pushed to know more demanding answers, but Serena respected that he wanted to keep it to himself for now and didn´t pry.

The blondes relationship history was short. Okey that was a lie it wasn´t short it was minimal. Her parents had plans to marry her off to any royal they could charm, not romantic. Several people had tried to ask her out but interacting with men wasn´t her strong suit she never know what they expected from her and usually the just used her kindness wanting nothing more than a trophy wife. So she had never dated and if anyone asked she was married to work.

"There really isn´t much about me, I am a workaholic with no social life what so ever" She admitted laughing softly at his rock concert.

Erythreus let an awkward silence settle between them, as she sat there and dwelled on whatever she was dwelling on, and he too began dwelling. He didn't know what he was, or who he was... the Aliward family he had, had to teach him how to be a man again, when they found him, he was more of an animal than a person, and still today he had some pretty bad traits, bad habits did die hard with him. He could still hear the screams of the innocent lives he was forced to take, he seen the two brothers faces who beat him to an inch of his life when he wouldn't murder women and children, and then they forced him to carry on before he could even heal.. it still crippled him, that entire portion of his life.

HE had to shake those thoughts, because if he didn't he'd lash out in ways that no one had ever seen, and no one in that bar would be able to restrain or control him. "For now, it's Doctor Lady... because I like you, if I call you by your name, it's personal, and something tells me you're not ready for that kind of life" he stated, and knocked back one more drink, sighing. What the hell was wrong with him? Erythreus didn't act this way ... which made him glare at her, a daggering stare at that. "What is it with you?" he asked, not meaning to though, he was more so thinking out loud .. and his hand involuntarily covered his mouth .. as if he had said something wrong.

Erythreus sensed what she thought about him, he could only smirk... she was smart.. rare to find a woman who had a brain and beauty, but here he sat right beside of one. "Yes, im death.. pretty much... but don't worry, i'm more normal than my title makes me out to be" he stated, chuckling. Ery listened intently as she spoke about herself, but she left so much out.. he knew there was way more to her than that. "Well as a workaholic, it's hard to have a social life but you seem commited to work, I admire that... is that why you're here then? a patient died" he said, chalking it up to that, since she was a doctor, she probably witnessed death all the time, so he couldn't be the exception.. or could he? All he knew was that he liked this girl... to much.

"You must have dreams Serena, hopes for your future, though we are Vampires, we still have lives to live... we don't have to shut down to the fact that we are technically dead, even I have hopes and dreams... and im the deadest damn thing in this city" he stated, chuckling but he meant eveything he said to her.. hoping to get through to her. She was a very serious person, about all things... but he seen more in her than that, he could see the world in her eyes... "if only you could see you the way that I do, Serena" he stated, using her name was actually personal to him... and he had done it ... he just hoped he wouldn't regret it in the end. He found himself another song (Angels Fall - Yesterdays Gone) to listen to as he waited for her to speak back

Silence rose between them allowing them both to let their minds wander to problems they didn’t want to burden the other with, a person they just meet. Coming to the bar hadn’t been the right thing drowning water was just idiotic. She should’ve known that it was bound to fail. Maybe the blonde should’ve just gone for a jog. Running human speed didn’t help much and gave her to much time to dwell. Truth be told the death would follow her always, haunt her the few hours she got to sleep, all other deaths did. There was no escape from the guilt but she had to live with it and keep it from her mind to be able to help those she still could.

The nicknames was nothing new in The surgeons world especially while working with kids. She had gotten many silly nicknames both from kids and adults men and women. It didn’t bother her he could call her whatever he like whatever made him comfortable. His next words however was not familiar actually they were very confusing. What did he mean by personal? Ready for what kind of life. This aspect was certainly odd. How could it get be personal they had just meet plus Serena was never personal work habit. His words left her with a frown. Which deepened when he glared at her and asked what was with her? Had she offended him in any way?

It shifted quickly and started twaddle about his role as deaths protector and her previous words leaving him with the right answer to her sorrows. “You’re correct Sir” she confirmed his thoughts not using his name as he felt uncomfortable using hers.

His next questions really got to her.”My only wish is to see happiness in others” She couldn’t remember the last time she had a wish of her own. Helping others had been her only mission for so long the only source of happiness in her world. The last dream had been become a surgeon and she had achieved that a long time ago. Shortly after she realized why. Why she had stopped doing things for herself. It had begun once turning, she hadn’t done much for herself before either but completely stopped once she became a vampire. She was afraid off losing control. Giving in to the blood thirst that raged inside every vampire. Falling in love and other strong emotions meant losing controls and having desires. That’s why she didn’t dream at night because not even in her sleep she dared to admit her wishes afraid that it would involve killing people. It was easier just skipping it turning everyone down remaining in control, but indifferent towards herself.

As she realized this she also realized that it would shake the world she knew if she didn’t bury it deep down inside again. Which she intended to do as soon as possible.
“I’m sorry but I have to go, it was nice talking to you Aspect of death thank you for listening” she quickly payed for the water and then left the bar.

Erythreus looked over at her, tapping his fingers against the bar top in front of them to the beat of the music. He wasn't one for social outings, he had no idea why he was here really, he felt much better being in his room... alone. Rolling his oceanic blue optics at the blonde next to him, he became annoyed... she didn't like fun, she didn't like to talk about her, she didn't drink... what had torn her away from being a social butterfly? She was a doctor .. she had to be social.. it came with her job. So was she acting this way .. to annoy him? to run him away? "You are a brat" he then said, drunkenly.

"Oops." he then said, chuckling, careless though. He came back to himself though, when she said he was correct "I know that... you knew I was right to" he said, and listened to her answers to his questions. "So, you have no wish to be happy yourself? you don't desire happiness in your own life?" he asked, shaking his head "somewhere deep down I bet you do" he stated, still slurring his words, but he managed to be honest through out the drunken haze he was now in. He had accomplished just what people came here for, to get wasted. He had only hoped not to disrespect her.

Ery watched her, again rolling his eyes at her. He knew what was next, she would deny the fact that she had dreams and wishes, and leave the bar, and his ignorance would allow him to follow her. Not stalk her but to prove a point. Since this was about to happen, he pulled his ipod from the torn leather jacket pocket that held cigs and ipod. sticking his earbuds in, he turned it to a song that would... spark motivation (SILENCE) "Look fangster" he blurted out, but then she said she was leaving, which pissed him off. Did he really rub her that wrong? "what the literal f**K?" he questioned to himself.

Erythreus stood, and paid his own bill and walked out behind her. "Serena!" he called out, and ran to her. "Look im not trying to hunt you down, or chase you, or stalk you even... but... will you trust me, if only for a second?" he asked, he had an idea to let her feel just a second of happiness, to show her it was possible. Plus, he was drunk. So he was overdoing it on trying to prove a point.

Doctors had to be extrovert or was that just a common deception? The nurses yes they spent a time with the patient ensuring comfort. Doctors and even more so surgeon social bees it might help them a little but not much. Patient contact was only during examinations and goodbyes. Autistic people or people with other disabilities socially was known for making excellent surgeons even with their lack of social skill. At work Serena was good socially. She knew the expectations what they wished from her, results a successful procedure. Cristal clear and she was in 99% of the cases able to achieve their goal. It was formal talk things she was cool with raised with even.

Still she didn’t go to tell the relatives the good news herself. Leaving other doctors or nurses to take cred for her work and collect the gratitude. Their happiness was a gift she didn’t need the hugs and thank you angel. It was her work what she was employed to do nobody thanked the salesmen with tears and hugs.

She heard him calling her a brat. No one had done that before, her looks certainly were not helping in denying it. Her upbringing had had everything you could wish for except caring parents, two normal ingredients in the creating of a brat. Behavior wise though she had never been bratty like. Selfless and generous were normally not traits you inhabited if you where called brat.

The blonde had only gone a few blocks before she heard footsteps behind her and she knew it was his. The fresh air helped her wash away the last hours lap in judgement. Anyone else would probably just keep walking and ignore the aspect, especially after his treatment back at the bar, but she wasn’t like that if someone called she came even if they wished to kill her it would be impolite not to. Besides she had a feeling he wouldn’t give up until he got her attention.

So she turns around to face the protector of death. “Of course” she said speaking softly but genuinely, trusting people had never been an issue the opposite actually she needed to stop take everyone by their word but didn’t have the heart to say no or reveal their lies. Erythreus mood swings did confuse her. What did he mean, what did he want? Was all aliwards like this or was it just an affect of the drinks he had had? Or maybe it was his normal self.

After days of wondering about her, Erythreus thought back to that night, the first night he had met the friendly doctor. Even though he had walked out of the bar, followed her and protested that she could trust him, he'd thrown his hands up at her and walked away from her. Mumbling names about her the whole way back to the manor. Blondes were complicated, and the one before Serena .. well he just wasn't even going there with those thoughts. HE would have gladly watched her die. Shaking his head, Erythreus walked over to his music player, which took up an entire wall in his room, it was the one thing he was happy to have invested money in. Turning the volume button up until it vibrated windows and walls, even throughout the manner, he began beating a punching bag in the corner of his dimly lit room.

The song Let You Down balrring throughout the manor had caused a few of his siblings even a guard or two to come in yelling at him to turn it down, until they noticed him punching away at the bag, he continued until he busted his punching bag. With that, they all let him be and endured the loud music interrupting their activities. Angry? that was an understatement. The Aspect of Death, had his hands full with more than the task of what came with his staff that granted him powers, he'd much rather attend to the dead, than the living who clearly had him in this new state he was in with himself. The next song that came on, mellowed him out enough to go fill a glass full of whiskey. Sitting down at his desk, he began writing in his journal and humming along to Oh Lord

Knocking one glass back after another, he felt more.. light weighted, and not as tense as he had been. His knuckles were littered with slashes and cuts from the punching bag, but he didn't care, his vampiric abilities would heal that within the next couple moments. What would he even write in his journal? Blood dripped down onto a blank page from his battered knuckles, and with that he slammed the book shut. Pulling his leather jacket on, and leaving his room, followed by slamming the door shut to the manor. Climbing onto his ducati, Erythreus made his way to the hospital. It had been weeks, going into a month now, and him and Serena had finally at least reach a friend zone, despite her serious ways.

As he slid his bike around into a parking spot, Ery made his way into the hospital, pushing past the nurses who smirked, asking him his name and other annoying questions he had no time for. He made his way to where he assumed Serena would be since he had waited for her lunch break to go visit her. The cafeteria only had a few people in it, and the familiar blonde with her back turned caused a grin to adorn his once distraught features. "Thought I might find you here. Do all the nurses flock over guys who enter the doors here?" he questioned, shaking his head. "You ignore my phone calls, so I took matters into my own hands .. just wanted to check on you, as much as you hate me doing so" he then said, his lips curling into a smug expression.

"How have you been miss Hamilton?" he questioned, using her name in a proper manner. Erythreus enjoyed this womans company, she sort of brought him to a new state of mind when she was around, even if she didn't mean to. "and here, this is for you" he then said, reaching down, handing up a Christmas gift bag. "Decided to give it to you early, since I don't exactly know shit about Christmas or what celebrating it means" he admitted, and propped his chin onto his knuckles as his elbows rested on the table. His distruaght expressed on his face again. He didn't know what he was doing anymore, and he clearly felt lost, with that, he let silence settle as he placed her gift bag in front of her.

A few weeks had passed since Erythreus and Serena’s first encounter. It hadn’t gone as smoothly as could be expected from the two lonely wolfs hungering for company somewhere deep down. After their first meeting which had ended in her storming out, they had reached a tipping point. However after that things had slowly turned into a friendship. A new relation for the blonde. She hadn’t had real friends hm ever. Having someone to talk to was nice. Erythreus and Serena started opening to each other helping to carry each other’s burdens and demons, they still had secrets and things of their own but with time hopefully they’d feel comfortable enough telling the other everything that came to mind.

It was strange they were opposites that in some mystical way were drawn to the other, like magnets. Ery’s impulsiveness complimented Serena’s more laid back style challenging her to new heights. The vampire didn’t know what to expect from her friendship and had thought much about how it would change her everyday life. She wanted to be a good friend but what defined that? After considering it a while the compassionate doctor decided to just follow the flow and see where this would take her. Anyhow she promised herself and in secret Ery to be there for him always and no matter what, with the condition that as long as he wanted her to be someone to lean on open up to, drive the runaway car or whatever that he might get her into. Still she didn’t expect anything back. Knowing that he was spending time on her was hard enough to understand.

Lunch break time, Serena had been awake and at work since 5 am and in surgery ever since. That was the reason to why she hadn’t replied to the impatient Aspect. He was like a kid in that aspect even thaw he’d lived for thousands of eyes. During lunchtime Serena usually went outside to get some fresh air. She didn’t dine with friends like many of the other doctors and often just skipped the break all along. Once she got out of surgery, it had went well as usually, the nurses had told her that a certain male waited for her in the cafeteria. Her phone spammed with texts from the same man confirmed their words.

Serena changed from her blue scrubs into her normal clothes and went to see her waiting friend. There wasn’t many people in the cafeteria so she found him quickly. ”They are not used to people looking for me” she laughed softly the only people asking for her were her patients even at Christmas times. She hadn’t bothered to call her parents who would only nag about her getting married. “I am sorry, I’ve been in surgery all morning and not been able to check my cellphone” his impatience was amusing ”Aw Thank you Erythreus you didn’t have to it means a lot, you’ll get yours in a few days” she smiled genuinely as she received her gift bag and hugged him softly wrinkling her clothes as her small body embraced his. It was the first time she’d gotten a present from someone other than her parents. The blonde was always generous and gave expensive gifts to whoever claimed one but didn’t want or get any in return “If I know you right  thaw Aliward that’s not why your here, I guess you are here to take me somewhere” she guessed suspiciously trying to read him. Her schedule was free the rest of the day but leaving the hospital was still new to her. She knew the sacrifice behind Erythreus showing, normally he just stayed in his room unwilling to face the world afraid to be used or understod again. She wouldn´t let him down.

Erythreus couldn't read this woman. Assuming it's what bothered him the most only made the Aspect try even harder. Gaining her attention was also a task he had taken on, and while she seemed to enjoy making him squirm and twitch everytime he thought he'd gotten through to her,  Ery seemed to have found it as an outlet, a hobby. Serena had slowly crept up and had now grown on him very much, especially with the passing few weeks. He didn't know how he had gotten the gorgeous blonde to agree to get to know him, but now he was happy that he had put the effort into her.

The very fact that he and Serena were like night and day, so different from one another, yet so drawn to each other, made him continue his effort with her. He enjoyed how laid back she was, perhaps it would help him to become a bit laid back himself, as to where he was impulsive and irrational about a lot of things, it would maybe cause for a new side to Serena, and bring her out of her shell some. Either way, they challenged each other and Erythreus loved it. She had became a dear friend to him, even on the days that she couldn't stand the sight of him, and he her. Erythreus studied his thoughts for a moment, Serena was truly selfless when it came to others, he had wondered if the blonde Vampire had ever in her life care about herself, even if only for a second. MAybe this was another reason that had brought on so much for Ery with her, and why he cared for her so much, and tried so damn hard with her.

Ery wanted to show Serena that there was a life outside of tending to the needs of literally everyone but her own. And while he would bust his ass to make sure Serena started looking after herself more, they'd each made a promise... though silently, Ery knew... that they'd protect each other, and no matter what they would care for one another. Ery had been deep in thought until he sensed a very familiar blonde, only confirming his senses when she spoke. A huge grin replaced his distraught features "I imagine not. You will always be the only other being on earth as socially awkward as I am, and we both make the term 'socially awkward' seem transparent, because I took right up with you Fangster, and you me" he said, smirking all knowing like. "Sure you're friendly, and you're a doctor, but you aren't the same social awkward that I am, it's different for each of us, you smile at people because you feel obligated too" he said, hoping not to piss his sexy doctor lady friend off with the truth, but also not caring if he did.

Listening to her explain all of his unanswered texts, he nodded. "You are so committed to this place it's scary. I admire it Fangster, but really. I still claim our first date to be the most epic of things to go down in history" he stated, smirking, Serena hadn't even said yes to him about a date, but that was his way of asking her just now. "Let the literal meaning of "Death" show you how to live a little. I may be dead and old, but im fucking awesome" he said jokingly, feeling his face heat up. What the hell was this? Did men blush? 'goddamnit' he muttered under his breath, hoping she didn't hear nor see how distraught it made him to know he was now blushing because of her. "Oh my, is that a genuine smile I see Serena?" he then asked, trailing off to how happy the gifts seemed to have made her. And he knew best, Serena wouldn't even care about the gifts themselves, perhaps she'd never even use them. She would see this as an act of kindness from Ery, and consider that to be her X-mas gift from him instead of the materialistic ones that went with the thought.

"Why don't you thank me with a date, Miss Hamilton?" he asked, suggesting an amazing thank you from her. "Not that you have to thank me at all Serena, your friendship means enough to me ... a big enough thank you. I honestly never saw the day you would even notice me" he admitted, shaking his head, recollecting the day he first met her, she seemed so cold, closed off, and uncaring towards him; a complete stranger, or perhaps she felt as he did, and masked it with something else. Looking up into her conflicted eyes he smiled. "No need to thank me, I'm not one for the holidays, but then when someone steps in your life who makes you feel like things matter again, you do things differently" he spoke, knowing all to well she'd know he was speaking about her.

Rolling his eyes, he turned, looking away from her. "How do you read me so well?" he questioned her but eyed the room across from the cafeteria, the blood donations, caused his mouth to water. "Guilty" he added before spinning back to her, his vampiric features tugging at his features. Ery inhaled, his face become one of a normal one once again. "Sorry.." he muttered. Another reasson he wanted to take her out was to let go of a few things himself, blood lust had been controlling him, and he couldn't even tell no one. Erythreus felt like shit for being an Aspect, but failing to actually protect people. But, then again 'people' wasn't what the God brought him back to life again for. He was tasked to protect the dead. He sighed to himself, a deep emptyness in his chest about that entire situation.

As Serena hugged him Erythreus snapped out of his thoughts, his dreadful past didn't seem to matter as much, if at all as his arms snaked around the blonde he had felt so drawn to that it literally made him sick. But, in this very moment, he felt nothing but weightless. Serena, and her touch whether she meant for it to mean anything or not, meant the world to Ery. He waited silenty, with her in his arms, proceeding, he leaned down and kissed the top of her head. "I wish you knew  a lot of things ive not told you Serena, my feelings about you would be one of those things. So even if you say no to the date, purely out of being afraid to ruin our friendship, then say yes to know what I feel, because im not telling you here" he added, and fell silent, keeping his arms around her, even if she didn't mean for this to be nothing but a hug, he turned it into him holding her.
