Sunmin stared at the painting placed up on the counter with intense eyes. He thought he was past stealing random things he found but the moment he had seen this particular canvas outside as he walked the city one day, he had to take it. It was the first time he had seen anything that resembled the mark he had on his chest, the first clue he had found in a long time about his identity. A part of him had wanted to knock on the door of the house and ask how they knew about it but after walking up to the door he had heard two people laughing inside and decided against it.

So now he had a painting of the mark on his chest and no other answers. He had it propped up on one of the pews of the church as he stared at it. He’d run out of money a few weeks ago, at least enough money to afford a bed every night and so he had been crashing here at night and he was pretty sure the pastor knew and didn’t actually mind. He made sure to clean up after himself whenever he left in the morning, something he did before 9am when services usually began, which was precisely 25 minutes away.

He yawned and stretched before he put away his things into his backpack, he didn’t own much so it didn’t really take him long. Sunmin wasn’t religious but he did find the place pretty welcoming and while it got really cold at night he just kept his sleeping bag done up tight. He was just about done rolling up the bag when he heard stirring outside the church “Fuck” he muttered under his breath before slinging the bag over his shoulder and looking for a way out. There was only one door into the church which someone was about to come through so he couldn’t go that way.

In his panicked flighty state, he ran towards one of the confession booths and climbed inside, closing the door behind him and sinking down onto the wooden bench inside. He clutched his backpack against his chest tightly. It wasn’t the first time that Sunmin had gone into hiding so he was pretty good at keeping quiet and not giving his presence away but then he remembered the painting. Which he hadn’t managed to pack away into his bag before running in here. Too late now. He was just going to have to hope no one thought anything of it. He could hear the echoing steps of someone enter the church but it seemed like they were alone, which means it could have been the pastor or someone else who figured out they don’t lock the door.

It was a regular night for Hanseol, coming back from work so he could go and snuggle his boyfriend per usual on their spot, sometimes on the couch while they watch some movies, or maybe in the place he loves the most; his bed. The Celestial has been quite clingy for the past few days, ever since he got back from his trip from Denver that has been taking away all his time, leaving almost to none for the dhampir who waited for him back home. Jae kept his word, he came by around 5 times a week and boy was the fallen star elated to know that. So the two days off he got from work after working overtime almost every night during his stay in Denver, he spent every single moment of it by snuggling up to his lover while munching on desserts. Oh yes, and also whisper sweet nothings to Jae because god knows what kind of happy place they were in, right now.

A few days ago, Han was cleaning his storage room, or also known as his painting room, just to make sure there were no webs or dust collecting there. He found a few older things he had with him when he first came here to Evermore, which was over 3 years ago. How fast time flows. One of them was a painting; his painting. The mark of the Gemini constellation etched on his left chest, a mark that signifies his connection and ties to the Celestial community. It was one of the first few things he had painted back then so it looked quite vintage, in a way. Well, it was over 80 years old, what did he expect? See, the problem was that he hung it outside after cleaning it but when he went to retrieve it, it was gone. Poof, no trace of it whatsoever.

Jae told him someone probably stole it and perhaps Hanseol wouldn’t mind because it was just one of his many paintings but how unfortunate for the person who took it because the doe-eyed Celestial would not give up until he located it. Every painting he did was significant to him and that painting was by far, one of his most important ones. It was his identity, the only thing he knew about himself before he understood what being a Celestial even meant. Knowing Han, he had tracked it down and found out from the help of his Volakiri who only groaned at him after he was woken up at 2 am because of this. He was now standing before the place the person had allegedly gone to, a church?

“Why in the world would a thief go or even hide in a church?” he mumbled to himself in disbelief but made himself go inside anyway. Han wasn’t particularly religious either but he did a few volunteering services at the pound across the block every once in a while and helped a few people there too. The morning services were gonna start but there was hardly anyone else there except him. Han was about to exit the place because he had no idea what he was doing there until his eyes fell over a very familiar painting. His painting. “What are you doing here…” he murmured and ran one hand over it, only to be greeted by someone else, the pastor, probably, honestly? He doesn’t give a damn, not when something that was stolen is here of all places. “Excuse me, but can you explain to me why a stolen painting is hung here in a church, of all places? Are you harboring a thief?” His tone was quite accusatory. But he was furious.

Sunmin leaned back against the wooden frame and hugged his knees to his chest trying to be as quiet as he could so that whoever came in would just come in, do whatever they were doing and be on their way. He peered through the small gap in the wood as he tried to figure out what he was going to do. He was surprised to see a young-looking male wandering through the pews and he swallowed the moment he heard the other male say the word thief. Well damn, he thought he had been pretty good at staying under the radar but it seemed like this time he wasn’t going to be lucky enough to get away with it. He took deep breaths as he considered what to do, no one knew he was here right now but the pastor definitely knew Sunmin had been hiding out in his church, he had no doubt about that.

All of this over a painting. One he didn’t even understand. Why would someone else have a painting of the mark on his chest, did that mean that they knew about what he was? Did that make the other male he could just barely see through the gap in the door like him? If that was the case then Sunmin wanted to know him. He had been searching for so long about the truth of what he was and answers about why he didn’t age. Because he wanted no part in it, he wanted to find out how he could reverse it so that he could live a normal life and not need to move on to the next city every 5 years because he was supposed to look far older than he did. There was only so long the ‘I just look really young’ excuse was going to work after all.

He gulped slightly noting time was ticking and he was running out of it before the pastor came in and before long, his worries were confirmed when the male entered the hall only to meet the angry seeming guy. His eyes were shifty as he talked about harboring a thief and he immediately felt bad because he’d gotten the guy in trouble even though they had never actually met. Not to mention he’d been turning a blind eye on Sunmin’s presence here for weeks and now the younger male was threatening to call the police if he didn’t get an explanation. Well, he wasn’t going to make it out of here without getting spotted so better to reveal himself than be caught out...right?

He took a deep breath before he stepped out from the door and raised his hands in a surrender motion “I did it, it was me” he spoke softly “He had nothing to do with it, he doesn’t even know me” he spoke softly and looked around to the side for a moment to the pastor, who had never met Sunmin before and gave him an apologetic nod “I’m sorry I caused you trouble, that’s not fair considering you were kind to me without knowing me” he cleared his throat and turned his gaze towards the other male for a moment and sucking in a long breath. Why did he get this weird feeling now he was facing him. Sunmin felt his head begin to spin the longer he looked at him and then his body began to feel light and like it was rushing and then before he could do anything about it he felt his whole body collapse and his eyes roll back into his head.

When he first stepped inside the holy ground, Han didn't expect to find his thief there, much less his painting. But there it was, sitting prettily at the counter as he passed the pews. Wait, why is it here again? He swore he blanked out a quick moment because the setting really didn't fit the painting at all, and it could not have been something that just so happened to be familiar to his own. Han made sure to check for clarification, of course. He didn't want to get ahead of himself too much, fearing he would only be greeted by shame and a heavy sigh of frustration because he didn't succeed in locating this thief that stole his Gemini constellation painting. He turned the painting around and searched for his distinctive signature at the very bottom of the edge, where it was still there. It was signed intricately, he remembered doing that to every single one of his painting as a sign of ownership. To him, they meant everything. Especially this particular one. He couldn't trade it for the world, and no he could paint a new one just because he lost this one.

The Celestial may be a sentimental person, at the end of the day, after all. When the pastor came in, he was quick to bombard to poor man with questions he secretly knew the latter didn't know the answer to. He doesn't seem like someone who would steal. Why would he? He's a pastor. A clergyman, for stars sake. He tried to convince Han that there was no thief here but the fallen star found it hard to believe that whoever stole his painting wasn't here. Why wouldn't they take it with them then? "Look, I don't care if he or she is trying to be a modern day Robin Hood and donate this to the church but it is mine. Rightfully so, I have the means to know who took this." Usually, he wasn't this quick tempered but he hated the thought of losing something so significant and couldn't even meet the eyes of the person who did this. The pastor's intentions were probably kind and genuine but he was overwhelmed by his own feelings right now, so much that he even threatened to call the police on this.

That was when his head turned around when he heard someone admitting it was them, the male stepped out of his hiding place and Han clenched his jaw, he didn't like getting upset at others, his gaze fell onto the male who looked no older than he is, maybe even younger. It was then that his gaze softened because he realized this guy probably meant no harm at all, he had to remind himself that not everyone is privileged. Hell, even he had to work his way to where he is now and it was all due to luck that he even managed to snug a work. Is that why his chest felt tight and constricted? The Celestial was about to say something to the other male but when he suddenly fainted, Han widened his eyes in shock and rushed to his aid instinctively and tried to shake him awake but to no avail, his attempts were futile. He felt so guilty for being the cause of this, something tells him that he should at least bring him to a hospital but what was he going to tell them? He wasn't a good liar, his eyes would reflect that.

So he did what he thought was the best possible option, he brought him back with him after reassuring the pastor that he meant him no harm and only wished to get a confession and explanation. After a while of pleading, he managed to get him back home which thankfully, the fallen star was able to carry him. Han stared at the still unconscious male laid on the couch across him while Byul stared at the stranger and Yeontan was perched on the same couch, near the other male. The painting was placed against the wall across them too as he crossed his arms and wondered when he would wake up and decided to sprinkle some water on him.

Sunmin was feeling completely fine the whole time that he had been hidden in the booth but the moment he stepped out and made eye contact with the other male in the church, he had known something was wrong, he felt his mind fog over and his sense slowly start to mess up, he thought he could talk his way through it at first but it became evident quickly that something was very, very wrong and before he could do anything to stop it, he found himself losing his balance and his sight becoming completely blacked out, he had a few moments of panic in his mind as he wondered what the hell was happening to him before he completely faded out.

While he was passed out his mind became restless and while that would normally stir someone awake, he found himself unable to, his eyes were staring up at the sky, it was night time and the stars were out in full force. As they always did when he looked up at the night sky, his eyes naturally drifted to where the Gemini constellation would be, he had no idea it was that, never actually managed to see anything there because it was a rare constellation to be able to see. It never occurred to him that what he was looking for was the same as the mark that etched on his chest. But his focus on the sky wasn’t quite there because the same word kept repeating itself over and over and over again his mind, like it was drilling it into him. It was so prominent that he was subconsciously saying it over and over again in his sleep too “Park”.

None of it made any sense to him and he had no sense of time or connection with reality as he laid there stuck in his mind, he had searched so long for answers and it seemed the whole time this guy had been the key to it but what did it all mean? Why did he have a painting of the exact mark that Sunmin had on his chest? He managed to snap out of it and startle awake when he felt a cold sensation against his face and he sat up quickly in shock. His eyes darted from side to side because the surroundings were unfamiliar to him and while he didn’t sense an immediate feeling of danger his eyes quickly fell on the dark-haired male from before and he parted his lips in shock for a moment “Who the hell are you?” he spoke with an accusatory tone even though he was the one who had stolen then painting.

He pushed himself to his feet almost immediately because he didn’t trust this person who had taken him from a familiar place and then taken him somewhere else while he was passed out, plus there were two dogs in here who were eyeing him up and while he liked animals he didn’t like unfamiliar ones sniffing around him “Where am I?” he commented as he rubbed the side of his head and got himself into a defensive position in case he needed to duck and run. He definitely felt out of his element and worried but something about the way the male stood and his reactions told Sunmin he didn’t intend to hurt him.

When the stranger who also happened to be the third that stole his painting, fainted in front of him as soon as their eyes meet, Han would lie if he said he didn't panic. God knows how much he panicked internally when he saw the body of the other male fell down and hit the ground. Did he do something? Was he being too much on the threats? Perhaps, had he been too impulsive on his accusations? He should've been more considerate, he kept telling himself. The Celestial couldn't stop feeling this searing guilt inside him that was slowly ripping his own heart out, why does it feel so hurtful to cause this to someone else? Someone who actually did wrong him? Hanseol had no idea why he did what he did but after spending a while of convincing the pastor, he brought the thief back to his place, in hopes that he didn't cause any internal injuries for the latter.

Hey, who knows if this guy had a heart condition? Oh, he could definitely lie his way out if that was the case too, seeing as Han is generally weak around people like that. Bringing back a stranger to his home of all places was probably a bad idea, definitely not the brightest one he's had but he was facing a dead end earlier when he suddenly fainted without even saying another word on his supposedly called explanation. Han being Han, couldn't leave him there so he brought him home. The kid didn't look older than him, Han always looked youthful in his physical appearance due to his 18-year-old vessel but managed to look slightly older than he actually was supposed to look, there was this nagging feeling in him that's wanted to know what that guy meant by Park though. His ears perked up almost instantly upon hearing that word come out as a muffled whisper while he was still unconscious. Why is he mumbling his surname? Was it his too? So many questions yet they still remained unanswered, at least until that guy wakes up.

He shook his head at Yeontan who was still scuffling around the stranger while Byul got closer to what he presumably thought to be sniffing, that was when the stranger jolted up and got in his defensive mode. Han raised both his hands up slowly and arched a questioning brow toward him, "I think the better question is, why did you steal my painting. But I have manners and all so hi, I'm Hanseol Park and you seem to have my painting in your possession which I would really like to hear from you" he bit his bottom lip and lowered his hands down as he stared at the male before him, "You're at my house. Look, I don't mean you any harm. You fainted and I didn't exactly have the time to stay there at the pews waiting for you wake up. So I brought you back with me, god knows if you even had a mild concussion or something, you hit your head pretty hard" he pointed out, his tone was still soft and leveled, surprisingly.

"Please don't run. I've been trying to track you down for a while now and with my work schedule, it wasn't fun" he murmured, it was clear from his voice that he was indeed, tired. "Can you please sit down?" he asked, gesturing to the couch he woke up from, "Look, I just want answers."

The moment Sunmin woke up he felt completely out of his element, this was an unfamiliar place, it smelled unfamiliar, home-like, something he really never got to experience because he’d never really had a home, not a nice one like this. The moment he said up he felt his whole head rush because of how fast he had jolted awake and he naturally reached up to wipe the water off that had splashed on his face. Thankfully, as he blinked a few times to clear his vision he was quickly able to determine that the dogs in the room seemed to be friendly and keeping a distance from him. It was the other male in the room that Sunmin was more worried about because he was pretty sure the dizziness in his head was caused by him.

He looked back at the other male for a moment, almost dumbfounded because his brain felt so foggy and he was trying to process everything that was happening around him. And there was that word again, the moment that Hanseol spoke it, he felt things strange pang in his chest, he had never heard that word before, at least not in any significance and now he was dreaming about it and it was the surname of the person he was facing. To say he was confused and dazed, was an understatement. “Park” he murmured softly to himself as he looked back at him, so his dream was about this guy? Why did it feel like more than that?

“So you make a habit of kidnapping people” he commented bluntly as he stared back at him suspiciously, Sunmin had a really weird feeling about all of this but when he mentioned how he hit his head he reached up to place his hand against where it was really hurting right now. Well, it seemed the other male really didn’t intend to hurt him but Sunmin was still confused about what was happening and why he felt so off. “Your name is Park?” he commented trying to see if saying it would help make sense of it.

It seemed Hanseol knew exactly what Sunmin was intending to do when he stood up because the moment he did, he asked him not to run. He stared back at him for a moment and then bit his lips. He’d be denying himself the chance to find answers if he ran now and he’d promised himself that was what he was in Evermore for, answers. He stared back at him for a moment in silence before he slowly made the decision to sit himself down slowly, his gaze was alert though, keeping an eye on the other male like he might do something suspicious “You didn’t turn me in to the police” he noted, offering an olive branch to the other male to explain more about his motivations. Sunmin didn’t feel like he could trust him enough to ask him any more in-depth questions yet, nor did he want to admit the reason he stole the painting. Realizing he had revealed quite literally nothing about himself though, he decided to disclose a small amount of information back to the other male “My name is Sunmin….never had a family so never had a need for a surname” and when he remembered his name, his first name was all he remembered.

Truth to be told, when Han brought the stranger back home with him, he didn't know what to expect. There were plenty of scenarios that went over this head, of course. What kind of a sane guy wouldn't be thinking about all of those possibilities? Or any possibilities at all? Well, a sane guy would also be reluctant to be bringing back home a stranger for no goddamn reason but let's leave it at that. Technically, Han had a reason for bringing him back; he wanted an answer, he wanted to know why the painting of his was stolen and why that one. It wasn't the only painting he had placed for drying, there were two more, one of the lilies and the other, hydrangeas. Why his Gemini constellation? There must be a reason behind that. Or he simply picked the most simplest one for aesthetic purposes. That could be a high chance. But he'll take what he can get.

The Celestial had worries that he may wake up and attack him to get away but something tells him that this guy isn't that kind of guy. Even if he was violent, Han was sure that he would not maim someone so easily without any mental reasoning to justify his acts. So he waited, and waited. It didn't take long, fortunately. As soon as he splashed the water against him, he woke up almost instantly and the look on his face would've been hilarious had it been to him staring at Han with an unquestionable look that he had no idea what he brings the meaning of to. The first word that came out of his mouth was his surname; Park, which made the fallen star scrunch his nose up in confusion because he had no idea what kind of beef he had with him. He didn't do anything wrong to him, right? It was the same name he murmured in his sleep, was it that significant? Was it the same name as his? Or was that the stranger's name?

He got into a defensive mode when he was accused of kidnapping, "Hey, it's not kidnapping" he grumbled, clearly not taking in the accusation that well. When asked if his name is Park, he arched his brows cluelessly,  why does that matter? "Yes, my surname is Park. Why do you ask?" Han was hoping that he wouldn't need to resort to any other method if he was going to run and escape, tracking him down hasn't been easy, after all. When he sat down instead, Han swore he let out a huge sigh of relief, thank god. It was clear that whoever this guy is, he was being incredibly alert, which he could understand seeing as he was surrounded by foreign setting. "I didn't… to be honest, I was going to. It felt easier that way. I wouldn't have to deal with you myself if that's the case but I don't think that's necessary. We can leave this at that when we talk. I don't want anymore trouble… just want to know why you did what you did is all" It probably didn't make sense for him to feel so pressed but Sunmin makes him want to stay instead of reporting.

His eyes softened as he dropped the hold on his crossed arms, no surname? His weren't given by his adopted family but it came to him instead so somehow that made his heart wrenched. It was a sudden wave of nostalgia. "Well, Sunmin, why did you pick this one" he pointed to the painting across the room, "why that and not the other two. It's by far the most ordinary one... "

Sunmin gave him a stern look when he said it wasn’t kidnapping “Then what do you call taking someone they don’t want to be against their will” he eyed the other male cautiously because he didn’t actually believe Hanseol was a threat to him but he was also very confused about what the other male wanted, he had his painting back anyway. When he confirmed his surname was Park he frowned slightly “How did I know that before even speaking to you?” it wasn’t a direct question for the other male but more him wondering it out loud because he was seriously confused about what happened and the bombardment of questions wasn’t helping him to straighten out all the little things that happened.

Hearing him talking about whether he should call the police “Deal with me? It was just a painting” he commented a little bluntly clearly insensitive to any significance it was worth to the other. It wasn’t worth any money so he figured it wouldn’t be missed and it was the very first thing he had seen which gave him a clue about his identity and then before he even realized what he was doing, he was leaving with it in his arms. If he wasn’t so paranoid maybe he would be more inclined to talk about his motivations but he didn’t know this guy, maybe the painting was just a ploy to draw him out, maybe he knew about him and Sunmin knew nothing about this guy. Except that he had some very curious dogs who kept coming up and sniffing him which made Sunmin shift in his seat every so often.

He saw that look of pity in the other male’s eyes when he said he didn’t have a family which made him shake his head a little, he didn’t need anyone feeling sorry for him. He looked over to the other male and then to the painting he pointed out. Without thinking he got to his feet again to study the painting, he wanted to make sure it matched his mark exactly, his eyes tracing over the lines and he sighed softly “It’s not ordinary” he protested not liking the way he referenced it as something mundane, was that what he was? Mundane? “Anyone can paint flowers, there’s hundreds of those out there but I’ve never seen one with this mark” he realized he let slip that he knew it was a mark and widened his eyes clearing his throat “I just wanted to study it a while, okay” he spoke short, getting frustrated because his survivor senses told him he needed to get out of here but some stupid feeling in his chest was telling him he was supposed to be here.

Sunmin fiddled with his fingers as he came to sit back down, crossing one leg over the other calmly “How do you know about it? Do you know who I am?” he wanted to ask if he knew what he was but that seemed like too hard of a question to explain if he was wrong.

He swore he gulped when he saw that stern gaze the other male gave him, he sure was intimidating in that sense, in ways Hanseol was not. The Celestial was mostly seen to be a sweet guy and the fact that his doe eyes widened and his lips quivered as he tried to make sense of the situation while trying to form coherent sentences to the accusation thrown his way, says a lot. Oh wow, he's actually tongue tied right now and this guy isn't even Jae, or Yeon, of his supervisor?! He felt like a huge alarm just went off in his head. "I-" he bit his bottom lip and darted his gaze downwards, he couldn't meet the other male's gaze, he felt ashamed for doing an act he shouldn't, his ego felt shredded because he was also reprimanded by someone he should be reprimanding, "I'm sorry... " he apologized, his eyes suddenly finding the floorboards more interesting as he fiddled with his fingers nervously before meeting his gaze once again, noting the frown he wore, why was he frowning?

"I don't know… you tell me. You were mumbling that earlier while you were unconscious. I had thought that's your surname. Park is a common surname, after all... " he murmured faintly, still not recovering from the fact that he really did get called out by this guy earlier. He clenched his jaw when Sunmin retorted that the painting is nothing of significance, and unfortunately, that wasn't the only thing he's clenching, his hands were balled into a fist. Han was always so triggered when people undermined his passion, it wasn't the first time and that simple sentence made him remember the first time he heard it; an ignorant bloke who only ever cared about himself, the guy that threw his sketchbook outside the window of the ship he was onboard because he said they were a bunch of myths. "They're not… just paintings" with his tone that he's using, it was evident that the fallen star was trying his best to keep the anger suppressed.

"It's more than that… " he sighed and closed his eyes for a while to calm himself down. It doesn't seem proper to lash out at a complete stranger that he kidnapped. When Sunmin protested that the painting was far from being ordinary, he arched his brows alone confusion, where was this coming from? "You just said it was just a painting. Now you're saying it's not ordinary? I still don't like how you pushed aside those flowers because they mean a lot to me, it symbolizes things you probably don't know because you were too busy making assumptions on your own-" he stopped himself from saying anything more because his tone was growing louder and more defensive.

"You wanted to study it? Doesn't justify the reason for stealing it though. You could've knocked and told me you wanted to have a look and I would've been glad to show it to you because perhaps, someone sees the worth in it." He crossed his arms and stared at the male skeptically, why does he feel familiar? "You said mark. What do you mean by that? It's a Gemini constellation. Stars. Astrology. What else could it possibly mean" he narrowed his hues at him and leaned forward before reverting back to his original position, "Why would I know who you are? I was just tracking down someone who stole my first painting. Yes. Something significant."

As Sunmin looked back at the other male it became evident that he was led by his emotions, it even seemed like he was concerned over the fact he had brought the younger male here despite the fact that Sunmin had been in the wrong in the first place. Technically it could be considered a citizen’s arrest but he wasn’t going to say anything about that, he just stared back at Hanseol wondering what it was that motivated him and why he was so upset about it all, he was an artist, surely one single painting didn’t have that much matter to him. “It’s fine, not the first time I’ve woken up in a place I don’t know” he mumbled softly in response and shook his head, of all the places to be this definitely wasn’t the worst he’d seen, in fact, he’d say the place was pretty nice.

Sunmin frowned for a moment, he was mumbling that in his sleep? What did that even mean? He let out a heavy sigh of frustration because none of it was making any sense to him and the other male really wasn’t helping with it either. He had this strange feeling inside him which was really bothering him. He saw the way the other male reacted when he spoke about the painting and parted his lips realizing he had hit a nerve. He did that a lot, always seemed to say the wrong thing or rub people up the wrong way. Supposed that’s what happened when you spent most of your life alone and the little exposure you had with people was mostly negative. He was a little confused about why it bothered him so much though.

He looked from side to side, shifting on the spot a little as Hanseol continued to question him, the more he pointed out the less Sunmin felt like sharing much more with him so he was keeping his answers vague and to the point “I meant the subject matter...isn’t ordinary” he commented but looking back at the other male he sighed softly “Look I don’t mean to insult your talent or anything, they’re great paintings but I don’t have room in my life of luxuries like that” he bit gently on his tongue “If something can’t help me get my next meal or a way to see the next day, I don’t really have time for it but” he sighed “That one felt different because I’ve seen that pattern before” he shrugged a little.

He was starting to get himself agitated because of the way the other male was speaking to him and how defensive he was getting “Yeah well I don’t exactly live in a perfect neighborhood with two dogs and a really nice car” he commented bluntly implying his presence would have been pretty suspicious. He knew he was in the wrong here but when he got into a mood like this he found it had to back down or admit he was wrong. He dropped his gaze for a moment when Hanseol brought up the word mark but he didn’t answer his question “I came to this city looking for answers about who I am and that was the first clue I found okay, I thought things were finally leading me the right way but instead they led me to you” he grumbled slightly “It doesn’t make any sense” he subconsciously rubbed the spot on his chest where his mark was.

He probably shouldn't be letting this guy get to him, knowing how impulsively he acts on his emotions. It wasn't hard to trigger Hanseol when you know exactly what to bring around the Celestial, he's very personally attached and when you bring up the same topic that he cares for deeply, that's a guaranteed spot of seeing a triggered Hanseol Park. He was still sorry for taking him here, of course, especially when he was unconscious and without his consent. He should've known better. When he dismissed it, he let out a relieved sigh briefly but the guilt was still inside him, how could he face him after doing such an act? Wait, why is he even striving for his validation? The entire thing was confusing him. Seeing the male before him sighing in frustration of his own, he wondered if he had said something that he shouldn't.

The talk about his paintings didn't go well with Han, obviously. Painting was that one thing he would never regret and after hearing the hurtful remark from this guy he barely even know aside from his name, he felt hurt. He felt as if his pride was tarnished and it only took one person; one guy, a stranger at that. He may as well rip out his heart and step on it. "Okay, so people don't really draw constellations, got it. You could've said it like that. Why do you seem so apprehensive around me? If anything, shouldn't I be the one who would act that way?" The way Sunmin's as fidgeting in his seat made the fallen star frown, what was he hiding? And why the hell does he, our of everyone, want to know what this rascal is hiding? Goddammit, head. Han felt like something hit him when Sunmin said something that would have implied that he stole it so he could sell it to live another day, but when something about it tells Han that he wasn't about to sell that one.

If so, he wouldn't have kept the painting with him after a while. "You've seen the pattern before?" he asked softly, he was a bit surprised, Gemini horoscope isn't really rare but Gemini constellations on the other hand, nobody pays attention to constellations unless they're big fans of astrology and something tells him that the guy in front of him is not that either. So what was it about his painting? But the other male's statement about living a luxurious life like that made him stump, this really wasn't it. "You think I got here because I was given it all? You think… that I'm a privileged person, don't you?" he scoffed and shook his head, of course, he would think that, why is he even surprised? "I had to work my way up to get where I am. I lived my entire life being deserted and was forced to live my life on the run-" his tone grew louder again like earlier and he had to calm himself down before he said something he would regret. Both his fists were clenched tightly because Sunmin wasn't really giving him a good impression.

"Look, you really shouldn't say those things to people. You have no idea what they went through the same way I don't know what you've been through" he reprimanded sternly, calm yourself down Han, he told himself. The last thing he wanted to do is lash out at this guy. It was as if Sunmin had this magnet of drawing all force of annoyance and rage towards him, "Well I didn't asn't ask for it to lead you to me, so you're not alone on that part. I don't want to deal with any of this but look at where we are." He noticed the way he rubbed his chest, the same spot where he too, has the mark of his constellation etched, he narrowed his eyes at the other male as he tried to figure out what he's on about. Looking for answers? Constellation sign? "Are you a Celestial?" he asked bluntly and went over to the painting, pointing at it, "Do you have a constellation mark on you?" He then walked towards him and tilted his head to the side, "You're antsy…" he pointed out.

Sunmin wasn’t really sure why this guy was giving him the time of day honestly, any sane person would have already marched him down to the police station where the young male would end up spending one night with free accommodation and a meal before they hauled him back onto the street. It was a dangerous circle when you had nothing and going to jail actually provided a better option than being out on the streets, especially in winter. Still, Sunmin had managed to just about keep his record clean so far, which was all well and good because he wasn’t a registered citizen anywhere and didn’t have a surname. He was no one, a nobody and he was content with that reality. So why did this guy’s opinion actually matter to him? Why did he feel small pangs of guilt in his chest for what he had said and done?

He could tell that he was digging a hole he wasn’t fast going to get out of, seeing the look on the other male’s face as he talked about the paintings which it was clear now had sentimental value to him. Sunmin wasn’t sure why a star constellation and two different flowers meant so much but he realized he’d been insensitive to suggest they didn’t matter. “I’m apprehensive around everyone, don’t take it personally, people are assholes who only think about themselves” and the faster people accepted that reality the easier they would find it to get by. He didn’t spend his time worrying what people thought about him and while he often found himself lonely, he always preferred it over feeling paranoid about someone’s intentions. He kept feeling like he should get out of there but the more they talked the more Sunmin was made curious about this male and whether he knew about what he was, about his identity.

He didn’t look at the other male but he nodded when he asked if he had seen that pattern before, Sunmin wasn’t the type to overshare with strangers and it had taken him a long time to find the confidence to ask around about his origins with people he knew on the street. While he knew Hanseol’s name and seemingly, where he lived, he knew literally nothing else about him and that didn’t make him all that forthcoming with his words. He kept wondering why the other male was making time for him though, he had his painting back now, he had explained his reasons, surely that was the end of it. “I think that you seem to have people who give a fuck about you and a nice life where you got the luxury to go to college and learn, yes” what he wouldn’t have given for that chance, to learn things, he loved learning.

Sunmin shook his head slightly “What I mean to say is that people like me don’t just knock on rich people’s doors and hope they’re nice” he pressed his lips together “Which you are but the next guy might not be” he wasn’t going to deny that Hanseol was nice because he seemed to be, he had gotten a little upset by the things Sunmin said but he hadn’t tried to hurt him or even tried to take him to the police station. Their personalities clashed he guessed, that was the case with him and most people, he just didn’t really click with others so so he kept his distance and expected them to show him the same courtesy. The younger male went silent the moment Hanseol spoke the word celestial though, it was so familiar and yet so distant and he felt this weird swelling in his chest which made him feel a little dizzy all over again, he gripped the edge of the couch for support “I don’t know what I am, I just know I woke up in a hospital one day and then they kicked me out onto the street” his hand still hovered over that spot on his chest “A constellation mark?” he hesitantly shifted his shirt collar to the side a little so he could show the mark on his chest “Is that what this is?” he took deep breaths because he really wasn’t feeling well at all “Ever since you walked into the church I’ve been feeling...strange” well the truth was out now, may as well say all of it.
