She knew it was wrong. How many times had she told herself that it was utterly and inexplicably wrong? More times than she could count to. Yet there she was, the now slightly flaxen haired Aspect of Magic was standing her ground on venturing off to the city of Georgia. Malva had placed all hands on deck upon deciding that she shall go off to Atlanta to search for any other possible answers she could be provided with, regarding the fall and destruction of their home, Isle of Skye. How could the Russian born woman forget about it? How could any one of them forget on what happened? There was no way she could push it aside without investigating about it. Only, she knew she had to push the matter aside for a while as she got down and resolved other problems on her plate.

But ever since she got back from her unexpected meeting with Ophelia a month ago, she couldn't help but to let her head wander off with so many negative possibilities. Ophelia had told her that she had no idea who the person that gave her the spell was. Another dead end. It was very unfortunate but thankfully due to a large prospect of having many contacts throughout the globe, courtesy of being an Ailward, she managed to get a few small information from one of the diviners residing in Atlanta. It was actually due to Anthony's help, her close friend who was a vampire she met back in the late 16th century. He had a long list of diviner contacts, which somehow the Aspect had found weird, but dismissed it as he did operate an apothecary in Marseille. How could she ever doubt such a friend of hers?

Although she knew better than to inform anyone of where she was going to go, knowing fully well they would insist a few guards accompanying her, if not one or two. Since a few months ago, Tatiana, her personal guard, the one that has been with her since so many years ago, went down their friendship path as the dragon was making it very hard for them. She even went as far as severing their mental bond, rendering the dhampir useless when it comes to sensing the Aspect of Magic as she used to do. That was a story for another time. Now, Malva didn't want anyone to accompany her. Not if she had anything to say about it. This trip was solely a personal one despite it regards their faction and family heavily. But it was her element, so it was her responsibility to get to the bottom of this. Whilst she wasn't at all immune to magic, she was the best at wielding and understanding it out of all her siblings. Malva shoved her spell journal inside the duffel bag as she clasped on her ruby red pendant and wrapped herself in a leather jacket before locking her room.

She had used the ladder from her balcony to get down. Once she has landed gracefully on the patch of green grass, she made her escape through the back gates. The Aspect of Magic had wanted to make her way to Denver so she could catch a flight to Atlanta. She didn't bother to fly there in her dragon form, one because she didn't exactly remember the coordinates on landing anywhere near the site. Two, neither could she portal there since she didn't exactly remember any landmark there. She had other things to pay attention on, so finding where in Atlanta never sufficed. She got inside a car and started the engine. She had centuries worth of sneaking out the island with Tati, so sneaking to the garage to carjack a car wasn't really a problem. Not when getting the key was so easy when she had magic down her sleeves. She recognized the car to be one of the many they had for emergency reasons. A silver Volvo V40. She noticed she hasn't drove in a while, ever since she went on a hiatus as a doctor at the General Hospital of Evermore.

Well, let's just say, she wasn't actually alone. She was about to drive away when she noticed another presence stepping into the passenger seat. "I haven't even set a foot outside the manor yet..Not even out of Evermore, or even the south side of the city and I'm already interrupted.." She didn't even need to face aside to see who the person was. She spent centuries with them, so honestly, it wasn't hard to remember who's who.

Aurelia was in pause on how Malva and Tatiana could patch up their past but in the end the pair needed to come together on their own and figure it out. Though she knew they both were stubborn as well. “Well I would like to blame her stubbornness on her father but we all know that is me along with her angry ways.” she gave the slightest of sighs. “You guys will work it out, you always do. It's not like we don’t have the time for it.” She said more as a statement for herself. “Things where complicated, that is the cycle of time. We look back and think damn I wish we could go back because this moment is so hard but if we really think about it. Its just the tough moments that make us question if we could take this. If we are going to break.” Aurelia tried to be the voice of reason but she was sure there were cracks in her facade. “I think after the fall we all lost a big part of ourselves and feel lost Mal.” She watched her with her blue eyes. “Unless its something more going on?” she asked softly.

Aurelia had heard a few stories of all the aspects over time and how they became aspects. The Ivakov where the oldest among the guards and had been around in the timeline that the aspects came into play even if they didn’t know it fully at the time. Rumors and word of mouth was a funny thing over time. Aurelia wasn’t one to comment on how parents treat their children in the past. “I know things were rough for you, but maybe this trip can help you through some things. Are you going for answers?” Aurelia only smiled as she stated that she hated her. After all after hundreds of years and someone as focused on protection like Rei she would notice things and do everything she could to keep an aspect safe even if it means being annoying till they cave. “Everything takes time.” She said softly as she was no stranger to the need of time. She knew it was good she was here in the end, She could keep Malva safe and keep the others off her back since she needed time.

“We both know half the house fears me, and the other ones who don’t will join with enough begging.” Aurelia gave a chuckle and rolled her eyes. “We need to create that sense of family again somehow. It is just a suggestion in the end.” She let out a soft breath. She looked to Malva and then shifted and crossed her arms. “Before Tatiana I went full dark, ripped out throats of anything that crossed my path to spit the Valkyr king. I dark with no mercy of life. I did some fucked up shit. Now you tell me I don’t deserve to be happy still? Because honestly even with some of the fucked up shit I think I deserve to be happy.  I think we all do. I think we all find it in different ways but we deserve it.” She grumbled lowly. “Even Ery deserves happiness.”

Aurelia opened her mouth to tell her the thank you was not needed but she closed it and thought for a moment. “You are family and I would do the same for family and have done the same for family Malva. But thank you for thanking me. Maybe we can work on something for when we return to properly thank all the guards.” She thought it would be a wonderful idea if the aspects showed their gratefulness towards the ones that would lay down their lives for them.  “Ah Planes are boring I should just shadow portal us where you want to go. Six hours of a sick baby crying and people.” She shivered at the thought. She waited for Malva to explain what the mission was. Her gaze narrowed. “Can you give me more. Are we going for a grimoire? Artifact? Just information? To help or harm someone?”

With Rei, it was almost impossible to be keeping a tight leash wrapped around your mouth because no matter how much you wish to zip it, eventually ir'll be unzipped. Somehow, it will. Perhaps it was the power of persuasion that both the Ivakov sisters had so naturally ingrained in their blood, traveling up to even their daughters. Both Aurelia and Octavia are hard-headed and quite stubborn too, Malva knew that much for as long as she's known them, and that can be said for some time seeing as the two had been in the Guard for over a millennium long, accompanying the Aspects on their journey in the world. "Yeah, don't think all that stubbornness came from only one person, you should really look back in the mirror or live one whole day in another person's body just to see how stubborn you Ivakovs can be" she quipped dryly, admittedly that was what made her smile upon every single thing the blonde does though. Aurelia is real, and that was all that she needed to know.

It does make Mal miss all those days where she'd often spend time with the two blonde beauties, long before Tatiana's birth. How long ago it felt. "I know we'll be fine with each other eventually, when given time. We're not about to avoid each other forever, you know.... But, both of us needed that closure. That time. I need them." At the moment, given her current situation, time is one of the things Malva definitely needed. "We all lost something but I can't help but think I lost more than a few comrades. More than a home… with all that's currently going to dust now? It felt like I lost a part of myself." She found out that she also lost a few of her ancient books on the old magic she usually stored up in her room back in the Isle, no matter how hard she tried to track it down, it was to no avail. It probably wasn't even buried down the endless sea. It took the Aspect of Magic a while to recover from the mourning. Upon hearing the question from the Valkyr, she shook her head, "No… nothing more is going on. Things are just hectic at this time and I guess it got into my head and jumbled them up." That was the understatement of the century.

"In a way, yes. I am going to find answers. To reach a certain closure for my own self too. It can't be easy, I know that. But knowing that I could see the people there doing healthy and well, that's a reassurance that I made sure their lineage is well-cared for. Call me biased but… they deserved it. It's the least I could do." Centuries ago, as soon as she managed to track them down, she always kept an eye out for them and till today, they had flourished into quite the prodigal family. To build a status for themselves in Atlanta and Russia alike. Everything does take time, but what if she didn't have that luxury as much as she'd like to tell herself? That made Mal pondered for a quick moment before dismissing the thought together and said nothing of the matter. It was better to keep her mouth sealed on this.

"I feel a bit conflicted, not gonna lie there. I have this family; this beautiful family… 7 siblings that's been with me since the very beginning, we joined hands together to get rid of the suffering and injustice others like us suffered so there is not much of an indifference anywhere. Then, there is also the guards, some of them like you people, have been with us since the dawn of our creation too" she sighed heavily, "Yet I couldn't help but to feel like there was something missing in this piece. What else could I have been missing out on all these years? What would have me wanting that thing, whatever it is, so badly?" Happiness, is that what she lacked? Definitely not. She had them. And that's enough.... Right? She hated that she had to be questioning these types of things. "Maybe someone needs to get me up and going" she joked half-heartedly, "Maybe what this purple dragon needs is someone to flicker this dying light in her cold shriveled heart" Oh, how ironic that was.

"God, maybe I am destined to be single forever." That was also something that has yet to be talked over, almost everyone in the Guard that has been with the Aspects for centuries knew Malva had a bad history with men, or relationships, in general. Lords, dukes, even princes up to farmers, artists, she probably had her fair share but never quite found that thing people called love. "Are you sure you can do that? I mean I wouldn't mind, I would've resorted to portaling earlier but my magic is a bit fuzzy, but by all means be my guest" she pulled out the paper that had the address jotted over and basically a picture of the residency for visual purposes, and gave it to the blonde. "Just to see someone. A close friend of the family." She had a all smile etched on her face that spoke volumes on how significant these people are.

Aurelia laughed softly at Malva dry quip to her about how she should be on the other side of the  Ivakov’s stubbornness. “I grew up with Octavia. I know the Ivakov stubbornness first hand.” She chuckled as she smiled towards her. “Who do you think I learned it from.” She tossed her a wink, it was no secret the Ivakov’s where true russian sometimes. Though Aurelia tended to be the ruder of the pair. Aurelia gave a soft nod towards Malva as she spoke about the fact her and Tatiana needed time and space. “I understand that more than most. As you know it's the same between Virindeus and I. In the end we are all family and will figure it out.” that was something Aurelia believed in fully. Aurelia looked towards her as she spoke of losing herself. That feeling was one Aurelia had known all too well, before she pulled herself out of the darkness. She had been so angry, ripping into those she was close to losing all sense of herself, even joining underground fighting rings to hurt people that were not part of the guard.

“I lost myself also Malva.” The guard spoke softly as she rubbed her hands together. “Want to tell me more about why you feel like you lost?” she question but the look on Malva face showed she didn’t really want to talk about what was really going on. Aurelia felt the soft frown take place on her lips as she watched the aspect for a moment. “Yeah that is a big understatement, if something is going on you should talk to your siblings, I am sure they know better methods to help then myself. If things are jumbling up do you think it's so safe for you to be out of the manor?” She questions all of a sudden overly worried for Malva well being.”

Rei looked toward the woman she had come to know over the years and raised an eyebrow towards her slightly. “Are we going to see your family line Malva? Or a line from someone you did wrong in the past?” The Russian wondered why she was so invested in making sure this family should be well-cared for. “Just never seen many go out of their way to check on a family lineage unless there was a reason for it.” As Malva seem to close up again for a moment, though the Ivakov kept her gaze upon her grow more intense, until her gaze softened as she spoke about her aspect family and how she was missing pieces. “Oh Malva.” She said softly reaching out to take hold of her shoulders lightly. “You can love what you have but still feel like you are missing something. It doesn’t make you bad for having that missing piece it makes you normal.” Aurelia said softly, “When you find that thing your soul has been craving you will understand why you have been aching so long for it.” Aurelia chuckled softly and shook her head towards the dragon. “Your heart is not cold or shriveled, you just haven’t found the one so to say.” though Aurelia didn’t believe there was ever just one person for another. If that was the case Atticus would have been her last.

Aurelia bursted out laughing at that statement mainly because if the universe had a choice in the matter which the Valkyr believed it didn’t but if it did then forever was a really long time for those who were immortal beings. “I’m sorry I don’t mean to laugh.” the Valkyr wiped away a tear as she looked towards the roof.  “We all have bad histories when it comes to dating. Shit the man I thought I loved turned me over to the dragonkin that held me captive. Don’t think you can get much more bad luck in relationships when it comes to that.” Aurelia then gave her soft smile “Yet I don’t give up,” She pointed out. “Just don’t give up on yourself.” She said softly before she nodded. “My travel will be quicker at least.” She said as she had mastered her Valkyr abilities a long time ago. Aurelia looked to the address and then the photo for a long moment. She pulled Malva in the shadows with her and took hold of her shoulders pulling her through the shadow portal into the alley across the street from the house. “Well who is this person?” She looked to her raising her brow. “That smile kinda speaks loud for itself.”

“You do have a point right there, of course, you grew up with Octavia, of all people” she rolled her eyes playfully at the blonde Valkyr and chuckled softly, she could see the resemblance pretty well actually, Aurelia and Octavia is quite similar in so many ways yet they can be so different. It was unique, interesting even. Malva is close to both sisters, thankfully. She always came to either one of the Ivakov sisters whenever she needed a shoulder to cry on or just someone to complain to, in general. “And just when we thought us Russians in general, are stubborn like a mule” she retorted dryly, how true it was though. Malva could relate to it and she was pretty sure everyone else could too. Especially them. There was just something about their culture and environmental aspects aiding this trait that was long been ingrained inside them.

She did wonder though, when will she reconcile with the Ivakov dhampir? Was it going to be this way between the two of them forever? Forever is a long time and if anyone knew just how painful and agonizing waiting for another year to pass when one resents you, she’s one of those people. “It isn’t the first time though, I understood that” she murmured softly, sighing heavily at how things are turning out, this wasn’t what she expected at all, Tatiana and her weren’t supposed to fight like this, she was her personal guard, well...former personal guard, “But I feel like this time, it’s different. Things would not be the same again, of course. I know that. But why do I feel like I’m losing her?” It meant a lot to Malva because Tatiana had been the first person she underwent connective magic with. She was her other half. They were blood bound. Now after she had severed it? The Aspect of Magic felt so empty. When Rei asked her if she wanted to know why she felt lost, she was almost quick to nod, of course, she wanted to know. Key word being almost

She abstained herself from doing so and kept a silent treatment, pressing her lips together because everyone knew it was hard to poke anything out of the Aspect of Magic. Sometimes, if she wanted it to stay hidden, it just may as well be that way. “I know it’s not the safest time to be out and about alone but where I’m going, I don’t like to have anyone else who doesn’t even know the first thing about me to be accompanying me” she sighed and looked up at her, “The real me” she made sure to enunciate every syllable. In reality, she was so sentimental it hurts to see her being affected by every single thing. Once upon a time ago, that may have been the case but ever since a few things happened centuries ago, she took heavy precautions. “Hell, they probably don’t even know why I even like the color purple.” Perhaps, she was slightly resentful. Maybe she can tell Rei, it is her, after all. “I was my family's only child. But I had relatives that stayed back in Russia when I moved to North America. They moved too, a few centuries back. I lost grip of their ancestry for one or two centuries but recently got to know who’s who. So yes, Rei, I’m going to go see my family. My god knows how many times removed cousins.”

As of late, Mal has been leaning closer to people she could hold onto. The talk about love made him smile softly, it sounded so petty yet she still wanted it. “I didn’t have the best experience with love” she chuckled, “My first love had his heart cut out and delivered to me in a parcel by my own parents just because I decided to ran away” Now that is one memory she will never be able to forget. It wasn’t that she gets the bad people, but fate has a way of screwing them over for her. When they were teleported away, she stared at the neighborhood with a serene look, “Do you by any chance know our Defense General? He’s a part of the Organization” she mused and laughed heartily, “Yeah, it’s that guy.” Maybe she didn’t want to feel that way for fear the same thing would happen to him but god does he give her that warmth she craved so badly. When asked who this person she was going to meet was, she pointed at the pregnant female laughing from inside the house, “Katherine Ailswithe, she’s the leader of the local coven here.”

Aurelia couldn’t help but chuckle at Malva as if she was just connecting for the first time who the Ivakov sisters where and the stubborn nature each sister held. Aurelias just happen to be much louder than her sister.Yet both sisters knew how to get what they needed and had iron wills. “Stubborn or know how to get what we want. I see problems in that.” she chuckles at her dry retort. For how long they have lived it honestly was just a part of them, they all came from older ways. Soft and gentleness was not the first thought.

Being a personal guard was a lot different than being a regular guard. “Do you think the last blow out that caused me to no longer be Virindeus personal guard was the first on?” Aurelia gaze rested for a long moment on the younger looking aspect. “Us Ivakov, or well me and my spawn sometimes lose sight of things. And only focus on the hurt.” She said softly as she thought about how she fucked things up a while back even though Deus and Aurelia where back on the mend after everything now. “Because she is changing.” Aurelia said softly as she looked away from Malva. “She is going through a lot and doesn’t want anyone to know, not even me.” The Valkyr sighed as she ran her finger along the ring on her thumb the one that matched Tatiana. “She has to find herself again, on her own.” Aurelia clasped her hands together for a moment and said softly. “You feel lost because you are lost. You are losing yourself to something, for me it was anger. For you? Well you have to reflect on yourself for that answer. I believe a big part of you feeling lost has to do with you feel like you're losing everyone around you, and you don’t like that you are not in control of that.” The Valkyr shrugged. “At least from my point of view anyways.”

Not the safest time to be out alone was a vast understatement but Aurelia kept her mouth closed in a light up turn of her lips as she waited for the aspect to tell her fully where they were going. As she looked over the dragon who always seemed to hold a color purple in something around her made her wonder for a moment why she liked the color purple, besides how many magical items where various shades of purple. “I must admit I never thought about why you like the color purple. Why is that?” she wondered if the aspect would tell her or if she should have already known. As she talked about the family lines it truly was a muddled mess for them all she was sure. She had no clue how many Ivakov where out there nor did she ever keep track yet it seemed like Malva had kept better track of her bloodlines. “Do you think it's safe to be going to see family?”

Aurelia gave a gentle gasp at the thought, “His heart was delivered to you? That is so horrible.” she remembered well how cruel times back then could have been. As she took in the scenes and what was around them. Making sure they were safe before she turned her head slightly and raised a brow. “Benjamin? Interesting.” she gave a slow smirk. “Very handsome human there.” she gave a slow smirk. “And looks like he could protect you as much as a human can. I approve.” She said not that Malva need her approval after all she was her own woman after all. Rei eyes rested on the pregnant woman for a long moment and gave a slow smile. “Well I will follow your lead Aspect.” she held her hand out to jester for her to move forward towards the laughing woman.

She rolled her eyes at the blonde Valkyr when she pointed out that the Ivakov sisters had a silver inkling when it comes to being stubborn and hard-headed beauties who somehow could end up proving themselves to be right, much to people's dismay. She wasn't wrong. Malva knew Aurelia used to be her younger brother's personal guard, Deus. And it was surprising to see them parting ways because Deus didn't seem like one who would hold any ill feelings to anyone, that's just the way he is. But she never prodded any further even when it raised some questions to why they were no longer together. A personal guard's relation with an Aspect is a very private matter. Sometimes, the personal guard is not held at a high regard for no reason. They usually know their Aspect better than anyone else, which allows them to calculate and predict their protectee's movements. In some other ways, they serve as the Aspect's confidant. They were a lot of things. But the job wasn't easy either. They were always at risk while protecting them directly. When Rei said her former guard was changing, Malva raised her eyebrows questioningly, "What do you mean by changing?" It didn't sound clear to her and she was just trying to be sure what she means.

For once in a while, the Aspect of Magic found herself trudging through her silence. What the Valkyr said had its truth. She was afraid of losing the people around her for that seemed to be the only thing she cherished all this while. Malva cared not for any other things, she just wanted her family. Her friends. People she cares for, to not leave her. Her biggest fear was to be left alone in the dark and cruel world where she was sure without their support, she would be ripped apart or swallowed whole by the darkness that has tried over and over again to corrupt her. "You're right." It was a simple answer but anyone knew, if you got an answer from her that doesn't hold any hint of sarcasm? That's genuine and authentic. When asked why she liked the color purple, Malva chuckled and shrugged casually, "You're probably about the 100th person to ask me that. Unsurprisingly. It's because the color purple holds a special meaning to me. Purple is spiritually connected to a lot of meanings, from devotion to pride to wisdom. It's in a way, said to be a sacred color. Why do you think people back in the Byzantium Empire and Ancient Rome used to hold purple as such a color only the emperors and royals who could wear? They believe their kings and emperors had divinity so it's associated as such."

People believe a lot of things. "It's also often connected to mysticism so that's also another thing. I like that purple is not a primary color, it's not easy to procure it, several sacrifices (red and blue) must be done to create the color (purple) who would then end up governing and ruling over people (the emperors). It's just a philosophy I happen to like for a while now. And my color just so happened to be purple as given by the Gods." To associate herself with that color means to put on a brand over herself which she does pride herself in doing so. Was it safe to go see her family? "I'm not sure. But I know I can't keep hiding this from myself. When I lost control 400 years ago, I was in a bad place, remember? I lost contact with them and the only protection they had since then was my emblem that I gifted. That wouldn't last as long, I need to be sure my family is safe, whatever remained of them. I made a promise back then."

She only spared Rei a bitter smile because the thought of Karlisle's heart being delivered to her just when she thought she would be meeting him, was insanely cruel and inhumane. But the talk about another male in her life, however, made her blush visibly, no doubt Ben had secured a reputation for himself, especially for being a part of the privy council; the pillars of the Organization. "Believe me, I think he forgets he's a human sometimes. Very daring… too much I fear that he'd get himself killed before long if he continues doing that" It was clear that there was a slight concerned undertone to her voice, which cleared the passage of how significant the human seemed to pose on the Aspect of Magic. Mal was about to go ahead and approach Katherine but halted halfway before turning back with a panicked look, "What if she doesn't want to see me?"

Aurelia looked to the ring for a long moment, she then turned to look down for a moment. “Tatiana has been through a lot. Almost losing her life, then I saving her almost losing my life. Everything has felt so intense lately.” She sighed for a soft moment. “I think she needs to find out who she is away from the guard no fighting just focusing on herself. We have lost so much, gained so much, been through so much. I don’t think a little time to herself would be a bad thing. I don’t want her to be as bitter as he mother was at one point in her own life.” She gave a gentle sigh on that thought.

“I’m scared of losing people also. If that helps make you feel any better. I have lost a lot of people in my life. Some I didn’t realize I cared about until it was far too late. Some I cared about so deeply in a short amount of time we had together. It's part of immortality. It's part of being what we are. We have lost together, we don’t want to lose anymore. I understand that. Yet Ery is proof that, lost is part of our lives one way or another.” She looked towards Malva with the softest of gazes. “But know this Malva, You are not and never will be left alone in the dark. One of us will always come for you.” She hoped her words were enough to soothe the dragons worries for a little while. “Hell we know Siobhan will be there with damn cupcakes if nothing else.” She joked softly about Dominics overly affectionate girlfriend.

“Well I always thought it was because it was such a hard color to get. So the rarer something was the more royal it was.” She chuckled as she rubbed the back of her neck glad that she wasn’t a diviner in that moment. “So really you are the princess out of the whole group.” She teased slightly ready for the Malva dagger gazed upon her. “My favorite color is read like blood of my enemies.” She spoke back not that Mal asked. Moving her gaze back to the home they were going to be walking into. “How do you plan to go about this? Just bust in and say you are family?” She asked with a raised brow.

Aurelia gave a slow smile at the talk of Ben. “I could always put him in his place for you. I promise not to break… much.” she smirked towards her. Since almost dying she gave up the fight club life but it didn’t mean she wasn’t itching for a fight every now and then “Though maybe I shouldn’t scare him off to much.” She laughed softly as they started to move towards the home and then Malva quick turn around caused Rei hands to grab her shoulders and then she soothed her shoulders down. “Breath if she doesn’t then we go home.” she said and then Valkyr transported them to the door and knocked so Malva couldn’t back off. She could tell this is something that Mal wanted deeply to help put her at ease so there was no why she was leaving without trying.

The story about how hard Tatiana had it, especially coming from the mother herself, gave Mal a small beat down internally. She was, in no way, blaming the dhampir but she was also quite stubborn up to date, it wasn’t going to be easy to watch her admit that she missed the other female. But Rei knew her enough to know Mal didn’t always need to speak verbally for her actions to be digested by another party, it was clear that she cares deeply for her. “I feel like everyone’s either trying to get themselves killed or in trouble, it’s either one of the two. It’s nothing new but it’s been happening a bit too frequently as of late, that doesn’t settle well with me.” The last thing she wanted was to receive yet another news of a fallen guard while carrying out their mission. Their numbers were not the same as it was. Every member was important, incredibly so to their organization.

There was a scowl marring her features when the Valkyr said being lost is a part of their life, “It’s the same if you try to say I can take care of myself. Well, that’s the problem. You don’t always have to. Why can’t we have a backup plan to divert our attention to when things get dire? Why does it always have to be so complicated and so dark? It sounds pretty unfair to me…” Perhaps she was being intolerant about it, but could anyone truly blame her? Mal’s walked the Earth for 1200 years and despite not being able to wander off in the outside world, she knew enough. “I don’t want people to be there for me… I want to be able to stand on my own too. But it doesn’t sound as appealing right now…” Maybe that’s where she did wrong, for not accepting it back then when she had the chance to.

“Purple is a hard color to get by” she nodded in affirmation, she remembered how everyone in the royal household wanted to get their hands on it, to match it with silk was the prettiest combination for the said color. Luckily for the Aspect of Magic, she never had a hard time getting enough of them for her wardrobe. When the blonde teased her by saying she’s the princess of the group, Mal narrowed her hues and scowled playfully, “Pfft… even if I was, I wouldn’t stop at being just a princess, Rei. Why aim so low when you can aim so much higher? Why stop at your limitations?” The color red, however, made her chuckle, “How utterly predictable for you, Rei. I can’t blame you, it is a pretty color, easy to get too. If you need it, you just need to bleed someone out and voila.” Morbid? It’s never too morbid when it comes to them.

When asked how she was going to do this, Mal sighed heavily and shrugged, “That’s the problem. I have no idea.” Obviously, she didn’t think she would have to do any of that. Not really. Sometimes, Malva can be quite dense. “Please, that guy took a knife for me. Well, technically he did, but not that he had any choice in the matter. I think he’s durable enough.” She was still guilty for being the cause of his stabbing but alas, it was a price to be paid once associated with her, considering she didn’t stand short on the number of her foes scattered all across the world over the last few centuries. When they were teleported there, she was about to protest but the sounds of the footsteps coming closer didn’t give her the chance to do so. The door was finally opened and the same girl greeted her with a gentle smile, one which Mal reciprocated, “You must be Katherine. I’m Malva.” The name alone made the other female widened her eyes in surprise as they were both invited inside. Halfway inside with the diviner leading them, Mal slapped Rei’s shoulder, “What was that for?!”

Aurelia knew that her going to miss her daughter was going to be deep but she also knew those in their faction were going to miss her also. Malva especially was going to miss her, she knew the two had been closer than others had realized, even if they weren’t so now. It was the best way for her to tell Malva her plans to send her away so she wasn’ blind sided. “We lost a lot of numbers Malva it feels that way because of how few of us there are now. Trust is thin also among letting many new members in after all we don’t want to cost more lives again or have an uprising because others believe we are building an uprising against them.” She gave a gentle sigh because she didn’t understand the reason why the Ailwards were so important.

Aurelia let out a slight laugh for a moment and looked over to Malva with a serious face. “Life, the universe loves to wreak people. It doesn’t know the meaning of the word fair. Yet what are we? The vast majority of the population is trying to kill it so maybe it's just its way of fighting back.” She gave a slight chuckle for a moment. She rolled her eyes for a moment. “Everybody even the most cynical of people want that one person to be there for them even if they say they don’t.” she smirked slightly. “Trust me I know. I was one of those people.” She eyed here with a chuckle.

Aurelia smirked to Malva as she spoke, “That is right Malva you be the damn queen.” She tossed her head back with a laugh for a moment. “Predictable and practical for a Valkyr who likes to bite people every now and then. A lot of my mission outfits have been read not only because of how good it looks on me but because of my interrogation tactics.” She gave the brunette a slow smirk. Not many knew how Rei could get on a mission if it involved getting a job done she would get it done. She often worked better alone or with someone who shared the same view on missions she did.

“Anyone who takes a knife for you Malva feels something.” Aurelia said for a moment. “At least from my side of things it does.” She said softly hoping that Malva would lean towards the human. She liked the idea that he put his life on the line for her. Said a lot about him. As she stood beside her as the door was answered. She smiled and followed behind Malva inside and chuckled to her. “Nothing like diving in head first.”  she whispered back and moved her eyes around looking for danger. “Talk about anything before we weird them out.” She looked at Katherine. “Hello Katherine I’m Aurelia a friend of Malva’s.” She reached out to shake her hand as well.

When she first assumed this role to be the Aspect of Magic, she didn’t expect to be like this, to be hit by attacks she never thought she’d be attacked with. She had lost so many people, so much she couldn’t even handle another leaving, it was why she chose to lock away her emotions so she wouldn’t need to bother with it anymore. When she broke her connection with Tatiana, who has been her personal guard for so many centuries; her best friend, her sister, her confidant, it felt painful. To push her away when she knew she was trying to help but Tatiana wasn’t making things easy for her either. It was then, she knew she had to let her go, and now, judging from how things are going, she knew it was the right decision. “We lost so many, and I’m not even sure who to trust because it’s been proven before that we had an insider messing things up for us…” She couldn’t forget that. How could she?

“I know I shouldn’t be so indifferent to people, especially when they’re new and are still learning about us, but I couldn’t help myself. Surrounding myself with people, it’s not something I could do now. Maybe later… it’ll get better.” But not now. With her current condition, it was hard to know when that time will be. Mal couldn’t even say Rei was wrong because they were cut from the same cloth in that sense, they knew exactly what it means to do what they do and somehow, the Aspect of Magic felt so defeated. She couldn’t say no, it’s not that, could she? “Fine, maybe I would love to have at least one person at my beck and call; someone who understood me… someone who didn’t mind taking care of this unstable witch” she grumbled silently, finally acknowledging the fact that she wasn’t having it easy with her abilities, at the moment.

“It’s hard to find people that would sacrifice a lot for that though… understandably so.” A ring of laughter escaped her when Rei called her a queen, “That sounds pretty indeed” She didn’t like that people thought of her so lowly, it’s been her pet peeve ever since. Malva is an ambitious individual, who would stop at nothing to achieve her goals. It was the means of an end. Whilst the Aspect of Magic is not someone who would like to get herself involved any more than she needed to, it doesn’t mean she couldn’t handle it when the time calls for it. It is best to keep her outside such measure though, considering her temper. “Next time try not to get too much stain on your jacket, it’s hard to wash it and the dry-cleaning people were complaining a lot” she retorted sassily, “Remember the last time you stained the carpet at the stairs? Gosh, I remember Reus losing his mind and actually asking me to help clean it up.” Of course, Malva did. At a price.

“I don’t want him to take anything for me… He doesn’t deserve that. I’m problematic...he’s… him.” It was hard to describe Benjamin Vaughn in her viewpoint, but she didn’t want the human to put himself in dangerous situations because of her. Mal rolled her eyes at the blonde who still thought diving head first was the best decision made today, “I can’t believe you’re doing this.” When she told her to talk about anything before they weirded them out, Mal could only fake a convincing smile while muttering about how she’s going to kill her. Katherine invited them in and Mal found herself staring at the picture frames everywhere, they were pictures of the other female’s family. Katherine excused herself to the kitchen to get them some refreshments even though Mal said it was fine, “Seems like a big family…”
