Cecilia doesn't stay at one place for long, not because of her nomadic patterns. Simply, because she was always needed elsewhere. And by elsewhere, she means across the globe. She had just returned from her one month trip to Berlin to settle the conflict between two individuals. Only two, and yet it caught their attention when they're halfway across the world in Colorado. What a stent in her plans. As much as she takes her job seriously, Celia would be lying if she said she preferred to travel every week rather than staying in one place for at least more than a month. Even she needed entertainment sometimes. Her idea of fun however, is quite abysmal. Not that others would know.

Though she did feel something weird tugging her along, the moment she set her foot in Evermore. Now that was a few weeks ago. Ever since she got back from her trip, she felt the same energy rousing around, successfully illuminating her confusion. A few weeks later, she finally knew what was the reason for all of that; the return of one particular fallen star that she definitely thought was dead after centuries of dead end, Atticus Thornbrook. Didn't mean everything was back to normal, of course, their relationship was pretty much still intense, like on the brink of falling from the strings that was supposed to be untouchable kind of intense. Coming back to Evermore two days ago had been a blessing in disguise. As soon as she got home, the Italian Valkyr dashed straight to her laptop, which she actually almost broke it in half because of the amount of strength she used to open it alone. To do what exactly? Book the flight tickets of course.

Celia knew she probably should've booked the flight tickets a week ago when she bought the entrance tickets to Disneyland but she was a bit preoccupied by the cartels fighting each other the next day. Usually it wasn't her concern but they were Valkyrs so, someone had to intervene. Unfortunately for them, that someone was her. After successfully booking two flight tickets for their 6-day trip to LA, the brunette rolled over her bed in enthusiasm. Today was finally the day. Right, one problem, her partner doesn't know she was planning for this trip. Another reckless thing done by the Valkyr. No matter, Celia made sure to take care of his schedule for the entire week so that when they got back from the trip, he would still have another two days off to rest. One sleek black colored 24 inch luggage was already placed neatly next to her desk when she woke up earlier. A little over 30 minutes later, she got out from the shower and dried her hair quickly before picking out her clothes from her closet. The Valkyr preferred light mannered clothing, nothing too heavy and pompous. She likes to stay comfortable. But it doesn't mean she's a no when it comes to dressing formally.

Preferences really doesn't matter for her. Finishing her look a few minutes later with a sheer burgundy button-down blouse tucked in high waist jeans and matched up with her mid-sleeved cardigan jacket, she pulled up her hair into a neat ponytail before grabbing her car keys and exited her apartment. Luggage, checked. Passport, checked. Shades, checked. Yeon, not checked. Rushing over to the parking lot in the basement level, she started her engine and drove off afterwards. Their flight is in 6 more hours so she should have enough time to wait for Yeon to pack things up in 2 hours or so and driving to their airport wouldn't take more than an hour. After parking her car in front of the apartment complex where Yeonseok Lee resides, she passed the security with ease after offering a smile. Of course, they'd recognize her straight away. It wasn't the first time she's been here albeit not visiting after a while, and she was sure Yeon included her name somewhere in that book of his.

Unfortunately for her, to go up there at the penthouse level, she will need a card since that's the only way the elevator would work. A part of her huffed in annoyance because last time, she didn't need to do this. But then again, she hasn't visited in quite a while so if they upgraded anything she wouldn't exactly know. Leaning forward to the Receptionist's desk, the silver tongued female took off her shades and offered her a grin. "I'm on his list though, aren't I? It's been a while since I met him, and this is my only free time to actually do that. It's supposed to be a surprise trip for him, or else I would've asked him to come down and fetch me. Surely you can give me this one teensy favor for one-time purpose?" Her hazel hues flickered to the Receptionist's green ones and she swore she saw her gulp nervously. A few moments later, she received the card from the blushing staff and pressed the elevator's button, Celia had a smirk present on her lips when she got it, clearly happy that her attempt worked, but of course, Cecilia being classic Cecilia didn't forget to send a wink at the flustered blonde before the door shuts.

The ride up his floor didn't take long as she fished out her phone and scrolled down the notifications. As soon as the elevator opened, she stepped out and plopped herself on the spot next to Yeon who was sitting on the couch. "Whatcha' doin?"

The younger Valkyr shrugged his shoulders as though to downplay her reaction to him saying he wanted Dae to come running to him, perhaps there would be some satisfaction in that for him but that didn’t mean he was going to confess to the guy or anything crazy “Maybe he will, maybe he won’t, I kinda like the thrill of not knowing” he chuckled under his breath, of course there was a path he was hoping would play out but he couldn’t really complain if it didn’t in the end. He grumbled under his breath when Ce said he needed lessons on how to take care of plants “I think I’ll just stick to letting the gardener take care of it all” he responded and shook his head slightly, the things Yeon was good at, he was very very good at, the things he wasn’t, he tended to find someone else to look after.

He cocked a half-smile when she complained about having to get a plane to visit but said it was justified “Besides I highly doubt it’s going to be forever, before long we’ll be in different places yet again, that’s how this exploration thing works, no?” neither of them was the type to really want to stay in one place for all time, there was so much in the world to see and do and while they might return to one place, he got the feeling there would always be this drive in him to go and see more. “It is” he responded with a low chuckle, and yet it was all he ever seemed to want to do, there was so much to achieve and none of it was going to happen by magic “Sleep well Ce” he responded when she said she was going to nap.

She was right in saying he sometimes slept on planes but never properly, he had perfected a certain type of snoozing he could do which let him rest but also didn’t let him sleep deeply enough to dream, Yeon only ever allowed himself to sleep deeply when he was alone and not even Celia knew about his extreme night terrors. He spent the journey alternating between drinking the free drinks the stewards brought around, doing some work on his laptop and snoozing here and there. Ce, however, seemed to be out like a light not long after takeoff, he had to admit he was a little jealous. He did really enjoy the snacks they kept bringing around though, more often than they probably should really which told Yeon that he had caught their eye. Before long the captain was announcing for all of them to fasten their seatbelts as they came in for landing.

Celia knows him well, of course she does, she’s been his friend and sister-figure for over 8 years and she was sure that was about to increase soon. There was nothing that the two of them could hide from each other, unfortunately. Unless they were being very discreet about it but it seems like his attraction to the Niveis stretched out far from it. “You have a weird taste, Yeon” she shook her head and chuckled, “But I applaud you for sticking to it. Not many people could do that.” Maybe she would be able to bear witness to their story, who knows? She does like herself a good story and drama. Perhaps that’s why Celia ended up being a big movie enthusiast. “Hire a gardener, yeah that sounds smart” Until he was interested in them, at least. She couldn’t say much either, it wasn’t as if the Italian was a full go green person.

“Now you’re in NYC, next? You’re going global, Yeon, I expect a VIP invitation in my mailbox for every show you do, alright?” she jested teasingly, she was a fan of art, in general, she had invested on a few exhibitions to show her admiration. Seeing him rise to a more global scale was only making the sister in her prouder. The nap went by faster than she expected, by the time she had dozed off, she couldn’t count how long it took her to wake up until the moment arrived. She woke up to a stewardess tapping her shoulder lightly to wake her up and fasten her seatbelt for they were about to land, which made the Valkyr nod drowsily and shifted her seat slightly, hands grappling for the seatbelt as she stretched out her arms. “God I’m really famished, I swear we’re gonna land and then head straight to the hotel and then eat… or else I’m really going to end up eating the entire restaurant. I know we just ate but” she whined.

The plane eventually landed after a couple of minutes, once the seatbelt signal was turned off, she unbuckled hers and stretched out as soon as she got up to her feet. “I definitely do not miss planes… even if it’s a short journey” she murmured, and took her luggage from the overhead compartment. Maybe she needed to get some blood in her since even the food from earlier wasn’t enough to curb the hunger in. “You okay? Did you manage to get some shut eye?” There weren’t as many people boarding in so by the time they exited the plane, it was quiet. “This reminds me and my dislike for planes… but I guess it’s better than ships.”

“Well you know what they say, the world waits for no one and all” he laughed and shrugged, he was always chasing the next opportunity and it if happened to be in another country then he wouldn’t complain. He had his base now and his company was running well, he had others to take care of it for him and ensure new dancers were brought in and trained. He had the luxury now to reach for his own dreams “There’s no way you could make it every show Ce” he laughed softly shaking his head in amusement “But I will make sure you have the option” it was nice to have someone he could always depend on to support him without question that was for sure.

The hours passed pretty quickly, Yeon was used to long haul flights so this was child’s play compared. He had been working through a contract. Despite having very good lawyers, Yeon was the kind of person who wanted to double-check everything with a fine-tooth comb when it came to contracts and he wanted to be fully aware of his rights and any potential loopholes. He was excited to be beginning something new but then he also felt kinda sad to be leaving Evermore because of the people here. When Ce finally woke up, he grinned slightly and closed the laptop, tucking it into his laptop bag “I’ll have to go for something light, I ate too many of the mini pretzels” he responded and chuckled.

Before long he was getting to his feet and grabbed his things “I don’t mind flights, at least it’s quiet and gives you chance to get some work done” he chuckled seeing the concern in her gaze “I got a little sleep, don’t worry” which was technically true, though he didn’t feel especially rested. He followed her as they headed for the exit and then headed through the halls of the airport, skipping the luggage belt as they only had hand luggage and heading through the passport gates. Before long, they were out front of the airport, he flagged down a nearby cab and then opened the trunk to put in their suitcases before getting in the back “Where to? Miss planner” he commented with a smug grin, this was her trip after all.

“Yup, I can hear the performer in you already” she shook her head playfully, it was something else to see the male perform, she could attest to that. Yeon was a natural born performer, he works hard but there was something in the way he glides gracefully, she wondered if it’s always been in there or not. When he said there was no way she could make it to every show, the Italian brunette scowled and huffed in feigned annoyance, “Of course I might not be able to. But I can try” with her pout, it was hard to take her seriously, which was another side Yeon got to witness. Cecilia Laterza pouting, who knew. “Yes, please make sure I have the option, Yeon, send me invites, whether I show up or not, I’ll let you know” she winked, she would love to attend every single one but he was right, she couldn’t possibly do that.

Her work wouldn’t allow her to take days off either, especially with how packed the hospital seemed to be these days. She noticed the laptop he tucked away by the time they landed and Ce could only send him a questioning look but said nothing, you can’t take the passion out of the man. In so many ways, Celia is proud of him, to bear witness to how far he’s gotten in the past 8 years. She wouldn’t trade it for anything else. “Those mini pretzels really got to you huh?” But sure, she was trying to find something to fill herself rather than having a meal over it. “I hate being on air and so… vulnerable. Basically I hate being vulnerable, period.” It was a silly excuse but to Celia who always had a foot in front of her for everytime, being vulnerable is hardly something she wanted to surround herself with. She hated feeling like that, much like everyone else. “I always think about turbulence and those awful plane crashes” she shuddered instinctively at the mere thought of it. She’ll stay on land, thank you.

Before long, they have already exited the airport and trailed behind him, putting her luggage in the trunk and getting inside. “You’re gonna have a lot more of that smile” she pointed out wryly and pulled out her planner from her handbag, “We’re going to check in the hotel first I guess.” She leaned forward to tell the driver the address to it and reclined back to her seat, handing her tablet over to him, which displayed a menu, “Go ahead and have your pick on what you want, I’ll have them prepare it by the time we arrive at the restaurant.” As the cab started to get a move on, she leaned her head against the side, eyeing the bridge they crossed and the scenery outside, “I guess I’m going to miss bothering you and going up to your place” she snickered, she loved bothering him sometimes, “No more lunch dates too huh? I mean, unless I wanna fly to NYC. Tell me, how am I going to survive without you? The boredom would be too much” she whined, she was being dramatic and both of them knew it.

He allowed an amused grin to cross his lips when she commented about how he was a performer “There’s something about the stage that calls to me” he confessed with a sheepish smile “Too bad my lack of aging means I can’t be in the spotlight” he avoided anything which could be recorded or have people realize he wasn’t getting any older which is why he settled for being able to choreograph the show rather than star in it. “It’s going to be amazing...seeing it all come together, seeing the dancers bring what I envisioned to life” it was all he ever dreamed of honestly and he couldn’t wait to see it for himself. He was so excited to be a part of an opportunity like this one “You know I’d never let down my number one fan” he jested as he glanced over at her.

He laughed and shrugged “I’m a sucker for snacks and even more of a sucker for free snacks” he tended not to have big meals and ate smaller portions throughout the day so he was used to eating little snacks here and there. Though today may have been a little more excessive. He smiled softly when she expressed her dislike for flying and the fears she had attached to it “I used to get nervous with flying but I’m so accustomed to it now it even feels like a chore” he chuckled under his breath, at least first class was comfortable and you could lay down and sleep if you wanted to “I just try not to look out the window too much” the heights was the hardest part for him and it could make him sick if he looked too much.

Thankfully being first-class meant they were first off the plane and through the system before long, heading out of the airport and into a cab. He made himself comfortable in the backseat, leaning against the headrest and looking out of the window, it was always so warm and sunny in LA which differed greatly from Evermore, it always brightened his spirit being here. “She sounds confident” he commented as he glanced over at her as she spoke about making him smile. He took the tablet from her hands and scanned his eyes over it, debating what he wanted to eat “I think the fillet steak is calling out to me” he commented before nudging it back over to her. He laughed when she spoke about missing visiting his place “I’m barely ever there lately anyway” he jested and gave a sad smile because he knew this was her way of telling him she was gonna miss him “You know better than anyone that distance means nothing Ce and before long we’ll be in the same place again” he reached out and squeezed her shoulder playfully “I’ll miss you too” he confessed.

That's the part she was sure he was disheartened about; not aging. Ce forgot that Yeon is still quite young in his Valkyr years and despite all of his hard work that went into his passion, he wouldn't be able to stay under the spotlight for long. "You get to choreograph and create plenty of other beautiful pieces but won't be able to showcase it in person forever" she pointed out softly, "who said life is perfect…" It was never something they can promise to those who were given a second chance. "See, that's where the whole misconception on our kind started… people called us vampires and said eternal life was offered to us in return for our soul, that we would have everything we could possibly want… glory, wealth, and fame forever when that's the biggest scam of all." She wasn't able to be known like Florence Nightingale for a reason even though she was there to treat people when others would retreat. But it seemed that Yeon understood what came with it.

"At least people are always going to know a genius was behind all of that amazing part" she reassured, she would be there to cheer him up whenever and wherever. "That's right, you should never forget your number one fan" she jested teasingly, "especially when she could very well throw a big tantrum if you do so." Oh, make no mistake, Yeon knew exactly how she would act. He has seen it all, honestly. "Who doesn't like free snacks… no, who doesn't like free stuff in general? It's free" she facepalmed and scoffed, "reminds me of those days I need to snack on pretty much the entire vending machine at the hospital lobby because I had to spend more hours than usual and couldn't sneak out to get a bite." Now that certainly sent shivers down her spine. It was horrible.

"I think you would need to get used to flying because you're-" she cleared her throat before mimicking a deeper tone to emphasise his title, "Mr CEO… unless you want to spend your miserable time teleworking to god knows where, it's gotta stick. I hate teleporting" despite her dislike for flying, she hated teleportation even more. The thought of being stuck in a limbo somewhere is terrifying for the Italian. It never ceased to amaze her how different things were outside of Evermore, the latter seemed to have this mysterious magical mist shrouding over them. But then again, Evermore is known for their supernatural quota and peace between many species. The humans there could coexist with the supernaturals and those who had long time rivalries were able to set aside their differences too. It's not something they could find elsewhere. Not easily.

"She is confident" Ce retorted playfully and leaned against her seat, sighing contently, being back on the ground was so much more comfortable. When he made his decision and handed the tablet back to her, the brunette quickly scanned over the menu and clicked her choice before submitting it via email. "How did I survive all these years when I dread the thought of being away from you longer than a few weeks? Beats me" her bond with Yeon was very much like siblings, there wasn't a thing she wouldn't do for him honestly. "How big is your showcase going to be? Any big names attending?"

He nodded in response to his words, he tried not to be selfish when he was thinking about the future because the truth was if that valkyr hadn’t saved him that night he was hit by the car then his life would have ended there and he never would have even gotten this far “I try not to dwell on the worst too much, I’ve already gotten so much more than I was supposed to” and the money he had earned would keep him pretty comfortable in life, it wasn’t like he couldn’t run his company from behind the scenes either, he would just need a stand-in eventually. He pursed his lips when she explained how she saw their kind “It could be worse” he responded with a wry smile, they could be 6 feet under, then he would have never met Ce or Han or Dae and that seemed like the worst scenario he could picture.

“And they won’t forget it” he responded with a slightly smug grin “I want it to be a musical for the ages, one which everyone tells their friends they have to see” of course that completely relied on the writing and the songs too but he had confidence in this show and he wanted to see it succeed so badly. He grinned when she said she would throw a tantrum if he forgot about her “Sometimes I have no idea what I’d have done if you didn’t find me” he commented with a nod of his head, he wasn’t able to come to acceptance of what he was back then and it had made him bitter and lonely. When she told her story about the vending machine he laughed softly “You’re a still a sucker for those candy bars huh?” not that he could blame her, sugar and caffeine were the best things to use to curb cravings.

He wrinkled his nose at the mention of teleporting, he was fully in agreement there “The amount of energy it would take to jump a continent you’d be dead in the hotel room for at least a week” he responded shaking his head, there really was no other option than flying most of the time. Teleporting wasn’t something he used often but when he did it was for short distances and places he knew well enough to be certain he wasn’t going to get stuck between anywhere. “Good, we like a confident queen” he responded and winked, she had taught him a lot about his own demeanor and it was clear from the way he acted that he was a reflection of her and the values she had taught him “Who knows” he responded with an amused smirk “I mean you did have a pretty heavy whiskey phase, maybe it was that?” he winked as he leaned back in his seat looking out the window at the California traffic.

“Lots of planning and people running around to try and get everything together, I kinda love being in the middle of all the chaos” he confessed with a chuckle “I’ve heard some pretty famous playwrights are considering coming opening night” he grinned slightly “And then the usually press” he nodded a few times. “How’s everything at the hospital? They’ve gotta promote you sooner or later right?” it felt like she had been working there forever by now

"Mhmm you never stopped grasping for what you want. That's why I'm always proud, it gets boring if everything is handed to you in a platter anyway" if there was anything the Italian has learned all these centuries, it was that it gets annoyingly boring when you could expect things. The pattern needed to change. And Ce was the type who doesn't stay in one place for long, making this her exception. When he said it could be worse, she pursed her lips lightly and hummed in agreement, he was right, it could be worse. "Oh believe me, I'm sure you'll make it historic, you're an insane perfectionist and wouldn't settle for less so" no worries there, though there were times when she would remind Yeon to take a breather and sit down for a while. "I don't think you need another alarm to constantly remind you to take a break. Han is probably doing that already." She was glad he had someone else to rely on. The blond was always independent, relying on someone meant a lot.

"Though that wouldn't stop me from showing up on your doorstep at 3am in the morning with something. Don't worry, I always make sure to give you at least 5 to 10 mins of notice before I knock. And I always bring something with me for… consolation." Ce couldn't help but feel the pang of guilt when he told her he didn't know what he would've done if she hadn't found him, "I would never miss a gem. I have a good eye, remember" she teased, for what is worth, Yeon turned out to be a good person. The memory of her breaking down plenty of vending machines had the brunette grumbling under her breath, "I kinda have to. It's either chips or candy bars. Chips don't last as long unless it's a big packet. I know I was setting myself up by working in a place filled with blood but… I'm a stubborn woman." She never wanted to abandon her passion as a healer, even after becoming a Valkyr or despite going through bloodlust at one point in her life too. "I did die because I was trying to heal people anyway, doesn't make sense for me to just abandon it after getting a second chance."

She couldn't disagree, teleporting is such a pain, even Ce herself didn't do it a lot. It just doesn't fit well with her. The female rolled her eyes following his response to her question, "Funny" she exclaimed sarcastically. Her interest was instantly piqued when she heard the scale of the musical, it must be daunting for him, she thought, "Well, I'll be sure to look around for some acquaintances" she winked playfully, it was known that Ce had quite the wide acquaintance list, most people you think to be important, she probably has met them. But then again, she is also a huge art exhibition enthusiast and has invested plenty on them. The talk about promotion made her chuckle, "Promotion? Maybe. The hospital is a madhouse now. We're still at the verge of having too many patients there. But I was able to patch up plenty so they can be transferred to the off state hospital…" By that, she meant she decided to tap in her Valkyr side for a few times to make things convenient. The traffic jam wasn't as bad as it was earlier and before long, they finally reached deeper into the heart of the city where they could see the bustling streets. The cab came to a stop and she got out, unloading their baggage from the car as they walk towards the hotel.

The younger valkyr grinned and shrugged in response to her compliment “True and you don’t keep quitters around” he teased with a smile, he remembered her telling him that not long after they met, he had been depressed, hadn’t wanted to get out of bed and face the world and she had given him a pretty harsh speech about not wasting the opportunity he had at a second life. She had been right of course but it had taken him a while to see it. He chuckled when she called him out for being a perfectionist “Wonder where I learned that from?” he commented as he gave her a pointed look, she had definitely been a steady pillar for him in his second life, the one person who he could rely on “Sometimes I do need a reminder to take a break” he admitted with a shy smile, he knew that was one of his weaknesses, never being able to let things go while he was in the moment.

He laughed, the life they lived was pretty unpredictable and they could show up here and there on a whim, both he and Ce had been traveling a lot the past few years, Yeon had businesses all over America which he often needed to go visit. He had friends too and plenty of people he had invested in, he was always busy. “I’d have it no other way” he responded with a wry smile, sure he could get a little grumpy about things but mostly he was appreciative for having someone to look out for him. He chuckled when she talked about her love for shakes and he shook his head in amusement “For me it’s cheese crackers, I swear I can’t leave the damn things be” he sighed, not good when he was trying to keep in shape “Better than craving blood constantly though” because blood wasn’t always so easy to come by/

“Still doesn’t make it any less impressive” he commented as he looked up at her “You literally put yourself right in the middle of the very thing that drives you insane” any valkyr could find respect in that because they had all lost control when it came to blood before. Luckily for him, Ce had started him on blood bags from the start so he’d always had something he could use to curb his bloodlust but even then there had been times when he wanted more than he knew he should have. He raised his brow when she spoke so casually about a promotion shaking his head “For someone so bold you’re not that ambitious with your career huh? Sometimes it seems like you like things staying the same” maybe she did, life around them was crazy after all, maybe it was a comfort.

Now they had finally reached the hotel he got out of the car, thanking the driver for his time before grabbing his suitcase and tugging it towards the entrance, he preferred to handle his own stuff because he’d had plenty of his things mishandled or stolen in his years of traveling. Before long they were in the queue for check-in “Well they say it’s not a Disney vacation until you queue in a line for the first time right?” he grinned playfully showing just a little of his excitement.

When he reminded her of that, Ce only chuckled softly and shrugged, “Damn right I don’t. I don’t like slackers but I hate quitters the most” Having lived a portion of her life going through the curtain where she saw a lot of people coming from different backgrounds ending up in the same slump made the Valkyr feel irked by it. It wouldn’t exactly be an understatement if she said she’s just not in the mood when she sees one. “Did you know I was so close to slapping you? And I can assure you, mine hurts. But you were too cute…” Admittedly, she was frustrated at first because she turned him and when he didn’t move around, she thought she gave him a death sentence at a second life. Thankfully he got back up on his feet soon enough. “Well… the good thing is that despite both of us being workaholics who still enjoyed life but never seemed to get the time off, I will try my best to pull you out of it every once in a while."

She clicked her tongue and wagged her finger in front of him, "Be warned though, if you don’t take time off on your own, which I will know” she narrowed her hues onto him as if she was telling him not to test her because she has eyes and ears everywhere, “I will drag you away without warning like today. I mean I’ll still be a sweetheart and handle your schedule… well your secretary would, not me but you get where I’m going.” She might tell him this was a one time thing but Ce would not hesitate to pull him out of it if he doesn’t take care of himself. Yeon grumbling about his addiction to cheese crackers had her cracking up, “Well, they are good, so can we really blame ourselves as we indulge ourselves in finger food? I mean… it helps curb the craving a lot honestly” she always had cookies and snacks everywhere with her when she’s working. Her office literally had a whole cabinet section filled with her ‘secret stash’, it being a stash of snacks and not really booze.

She could handle surgeries and all, but when it comes to people donating blood, it’s a sight she could not see without whining to herself. She could very well be almost 2000 years old and it would not have changed a thing. “Yeah well… my passion to be a healer defeated my more animalistic side. It’s the only thing keeping me afloat for many centuries so I had to keep holding on” Ce wasn’t a saint, she has killed, tortured, maimed, anything a cold-blooded person would have done. It didn’t mean she liked doing that, of course. But getting rid of your kin because they couldn’t control their primal instincts and succumbed to darkness, it left a number. She promised to never have Yeon come close to that path hence why she trained him properly on blood bag diets.

“Being promoted means I have to do more paperwork and talk with politicians anymore than I already have to. Everyone wants special care and sucking up to the hospital director is a way to do that. Nah, I’ll leave that to the humans. I like to be where the action is at, it’s incredibly boring to be stuck in office work all the time. I’m immortal, Yeon, office work is not what I want to do.” He could understand it, he’s a businessman but he’s also a choreographer and would relish in constructing his own piece. When they were queuing, she noticed the excitement radiating off the younger male, “Look at you, all excited. You would’ve fooled me earlier with that frown and grumble about me stealing you away from work” she giggled, the queue didn’t take them that long, thankfully the service was good and before long, they were already checking in and got their keycards. “So many people” she mumbled in awe, admittedly Ce never saw the hype in it until recently.

Yeon chuckled and shook his head slightly when Ce said she had been very tempted to slap him in order to get him to wake up and do something “That doesn’t surprise me and I probably needed it” he gave a wry smile, it hadn’t been a good time in his life, he had lost everything that mattered to him and he felt lost. He was so glad Ce had been there when he made his way here to Evermore because he honestly didn’t know what he would have done without her to convince him he still had more to give to the world, even if he couldn’t go home to his parents. “We keep one another in check huh?” he chuckled softly and glanced over at her, he appreciated it, they always had one another’s wellbeing in mind.

He couldn’t help the guilty look he had on his face when she lectured him to take time off more often so she didn’t have to take such drastic measures “I know I know...it’s just hard to let it go when it’s the one thing you feel like you really achieved in life...you know” work was everything to him and it was only recently that he had been wondering if there was more purpose around for him than this. “I still can’t believe you seduced my secretary” he grumbled in a tone of disbelief, or rather perhaps he could believe it but also didn’t want to at the same time because he didn’t need that image in his mind. “Bizarre that it’s human food of all thing that seems to make everything better” it wasn’t blood of course but valkyr still found a lot of enjoyment in eating real food.

He had a lot of respect for Ce and the life that she led. He certainly wouldn’t be able to be in a hospital working around bleeding patients and keep his cool but that was just the kind of person Ce was, she challenged herself and when she wanted something she would never give up on it, no matter how unlikely it seemed. “Any sane valkyr would have quit trying a long time ago” but as she said before, she didn’t have much patience for quitters. Yeon had been on a blood bad diet for the majority of his valkyr life. He knew he had other options of course but they seemed risky and perhaps even selfish in his mind. It was irrational to think that no doubt, he had been told before that feeding was actually quite pleasurable for the person being bitten but there was a fine line to control and Yeon didn’t want to tempt fate.

He smiled softly when she explained how being promoted seemed to mean very little to her, he had always been driven in a way that insisted you had to make your way all the way to the top, he could thank his father for that one he supposed. “That is such a strange concept to me” he got what she was saying of course but it went against his own nature to ever stop reaching higher and settle. Yeonseok Lee wasn’t the kind of guy who settles. “Well you’ve kidnapped me already, might as well enjoy myself right?” he chucked thanking the check in and then heading towards the elevator so they could head up to their room “Guess everyone likes to have a little happy escape huh?” he chuckled softly.

"One of these days I'm going to need to slap you to get your head back into reality and I would do it free of charge" she sassed, really Yeon would know she would only be doing it because she thought it was the best option available. But also, because Ce would have fun just slapping him for the sake of it. "At some point when everything is gone, we only have each other to look out for, so yeah" She didn't try to form attachments all that much because she's lived quite a lifetime and if there was anything Celia learned, it's that nothing stays forever. What you feel may stay rooted in your heart but everything else? Gone. Of course she understood the sentiment Yeon had, compared to her, he was so much younger and clearly had a bright future ahead of him. She is there rooting for him as usual. She always does.

There wasn't a thing that he wanted to do that she has fought over. Suffice to say, whatever he wanted, he wouldn't get any complaints from her at all. In her mind, Yeon deserved everything that comes his way and more. "Hey your secretary was fucking hot, Yeon… like have you seen her in that red skirt" she whistled and fanned herself, "How come you get models to be your secretary and receptionists though, like I swear they could pass off as one." And there's no denying why Ce wouldn't sleep with them. She never understood why human food made it easier to control their bloodlust but she never questioned it. "At least it's easy to get human food…" God knows she suffered like hell back then. But now they were pretty much her savior whenever she had to pull extra hours at the hospital, that's why she had a whole cabinet filled with a secret stash somewhere in her office. "You can say I'm awesome out loud, Yeon" she scoffed playfully and nudged him, "I'll take that with the highest gratitude ever."

Because of her history, one would think she would strictly out herself on a blood bag diet but blood bags didn't exist until the recent century so she had to control herself another way hence why she managed to keep herself in check while feeding straight from the vein. It was so much more pleasurable too, and that's honestly a deal breaker for Ce who lives her life enjoying everything. "At some point it gets boring, man. You'll understand that one day. I could've been an astronaut for all I care… I remember I had that phase when I heard NASA had its first female engineer… man I wanted to be one too." And she probably could've found a way to get in there one way or another but alas, medical is her field. "You're immortal, Yeon, you need sanity to cope with that" she reminded and squeezed his shoulder slightly, "How did you think I managed to survive all these years? And no, it's not because I'm naturally talented in evading sanity." The elevator door opened after a while and they headed over to their room, it was a twin room where they could just knock the joint door to get to the other.
