Tick...Tock….Tick...Tock….Tick...Tock...Tick...Tock.

For the last 3 hours; Artemitra found herself lying in her bed. Staring up at the ceiling and just listening to the sound of the clock ticking. As if it would soothe her back to sleep.  The Celestial could see the shadow of the clock against her wall; one would think that watching the little clock hands shifting; would hypnotize her into a sleeping state. But no such luck. Any time, she tried closing her eyes; The Celestial had found herself back in the abandoned hut; helpless, terrified ...the poison vile spilled on the floor.

With the weeks colliding into the next one; she couldn’t recall the last time she had a decent night’s sleep; without being haunted by nightmares and flashbacks. Finding that her usual herbal remedies and tricks that used to help her; were fading in their affect. Almost like, her nightmares were being induced by something sinister; the same sinister thing, that was the cause of her ending up in such a bad shape.

But she couldn’t bring herself to bother anyone at the castle; Phe had too much on her plate. Their Guardian Atticus, was dealing with things off his own. And Han...well he didn’t live at the castle, and Artemis knew he had sleep issues, that he was battling too. He didn’t need her own problems on top of that.

Shifting around. She was clearly unsettled. Before sitting up. Artemis had decided to go for a late night walk. Maybe, that could ease her mind and tire her out. As she slid out of bed; the Celestial quickly got herself dressed into warm clothes and her boots. It probably wasn’t wise heading out of the castle, late at night. But; the Celestial was that sleep deprived; that she didn’t even see the time. If a late night walk; would exhaust her enough to fall asleep. Then she’d take it. Maybe fresh air; could clear her mind and thoughts; just once.

Being as quiet as she possibly could be; Artemis left the Celestial castle; careful not to wake anyone up. With her keys in her hands; she carefully and silently let herself out; locking the door behind her. Before she began to walk away from the castle. Where was she going? Artemis had no idea. Her boots crunching against the snow. Hugging her coat around her. She wandered aimlessly around the neighbourhood. Before her feet took her in another direction. The walk was long. And whilst a lot of people would have considered, walking around the streets at this hour; dangerous. It slipped her mind. A lot of things did in that moment. Everything felt heavy; maybe it was the cold...or her sleep deprivation. It was just closing on 3.30am when she found herself at very familiar doorsteps. The Celestial, had ended up outside of Ridley’s Apartment. Reaching up. Her fingers pressed at the doorbell.

Walking through the slight snowfall Ridley looked around as though she were searching for something, ducking behind a tree the dark-haired woman covered her mouth trying to keep quiet. Using a spell to hide her footprints in the snow she moved to the next tree quickly. This pattern continued for a little while, then suddenly she was grabbed and let out a squeal. Turning around to come face to face with Niveis who had invaded her every thought lately, and had the woman beyond distracted. Just as he was about to kiss her Ridley woke to the buildings Buzzer sound.

Shuffling out of her bed the tired woman looked at the clock 3 am who In the world was here at this hour, because she was so tired Ridley forgot to use the intercom to ask that very question but simply buzzed the person into the building. Grabbing a bathrobe she pulled it tight around her frame, making her way to the kitchen to get herself a glass of water.

Upon hearing the knock on her door she walked over peaked through the peephole and quickly opened the door. “Artie Mitrie, What’s wrong sweetheart? Is everything okay? Is Caleb hurt?” Ridley felt her heart sink into the bottom of her feet. Mitra never showed up at her house unannounced, let alone in the wee hours of the morning, something had to be terribly a miss for this to happen.

“Come in come in.” She ushered her best friend inside “You don’t look well, let me get you some tea.” Ridley hurried into the kitchen to put on a kettle of water for the pair. After the teas were made she shuffled into the living room and sat down beside her friend. “Sorry, I’m just not used to you showing up like this, so my mind jumps to the worst.” She responded to the woman. “So Nightmares? Want to talk about them? Maybe sharing them with someone will help?”

Had the Celestial known, what time in the morning it was; she wouldn’t have shown up at Ridley’s apartment like this. But what’s done, was done. As she stood outside of the building. Artemis rubbed her arms slightly, through the thickness of her coat. The morning air was most nippy. Hurrying inside once the buzzer let her into the warm building. Soon enough, she was right outside of the familiar Apartment, where her best-friend lived. There were tired marks under her eyes; it was clear that the brunette hadn’t slept in a long while. Or at least not well.

As Ridley opened the door. Mitra tried to smile; but she probably looked so tired, it looked forced. “Hey Riddles.” she greeted her, sounding as tired as she looked. Before she could get a word out. Ridley of course, was worried that something was wrong. The Celestial slightly shook her head “No, no. Caleb’s alright. I promise.” She assured her. As much as the pair worried about their other best-friend; the male counter-part to their golden trio. Artemis knew that Caleb could take care of himself; even if sometimes he was lacking at it; leaving her and Ridley to help him through his rough patches. But as far as she knew, he was fine.

Following Ridley inside, she closed the door behind her. “Yeah, I’ve been better.” she agreed, knowing she didn’t look so good. Nodding slightly, at the mention of tea. “Do you got anything Herbal?” Maybe something of Ridley’s might help calm her nerves and feel a bit better. “I am sorry for just turning up like this out of the blue. I couldn’t sleep, so I thought a walk might help...but well here I am. I didn’t even realise what time it was.” Artemis apologised, when she noticed the time on the living room clock.

Making herself comfortable in the living room, she sat down on the couch. For a few long moments staring into thin air. The smell of the hot beverages and Ridley’s voice snapping her back into reality. “It’s more than nightmares...it’s...flashbacks.” Artemis swallowed. Staring down at her lap. Truth was, she wasn’t even sure where to start talking to anyone, about what happened to her, and what kept haunting her. But she had to try, right? If she didn’t get it out, it’d keep eating away at her.

“Mhh...do you remember a few long weeks back, when I kept having doctor appointments, but wouldn’t tell anyone what it was for?” Artemis started. After she got discharged from the hospital; she had to have a few check-ups, to make sure no left over poison was left in her system and that she was having no side-effects. But the Celestial never told anyone why, she was heading there. She just brushed it off, as check-ups.

Walking into the living room with the herbal teas, she handed one to Mitra and sat beside her turning her body towards her best friend to give her the full attention she deserved. “Flashbacks?” She made a puzzled face but nodded as she went on to talk about her doctor’s appointments, trying to piece together the pieces. “Yes, I remember, I thought they were simple checkups? You know Celestials are different than Diviners so I figured maybe it was a normal thing?” In the back of her head she knew something was up but Ridley was never one to press when it seemed vague.

Once her suspicions were nearly confirmed it was almost impossible to avoid the instance of questions and concerns that would come out of the woman. Here and now all the signs were there how had she missed them for so long? The hairs on her neck were on their ends. Ridley sipped her tea and reached her free hand out to rest on Mitra’s leg to show her she had support.

Ridley herself had been keeping things to herself and maybe today would be the day the pair cleared the air and helped each other through all the drama in their lives. Ridley hated to see the ones she loved suffering so much, maybe there was something she could do to help Mitra out. A spell, a potion, something? There had to be something... right?

Holding the steaming cup of herbal tea, in her hands. Mitra stared into the content of the cup for a long while. Almost like, she was hoping the tea would give her diviner best-friend all the answers for her. Maybe it was partially, her shame for keeping the secret for a while, that stopped her from glancing at the young diviner. Taking a slight sip, of her tea. But with her nerves all over the place; it might take a while for something to calm her. “They were check-up off sorts, but not for the reasons you think.” Mitra swallowed. “Whilst Celestials may be different, we’re still as vulnerable as mortals. Almost anything can harm/kill us, apart from old age.” Aging was the one thing a Celestial was immune to. Anything else, nope.

“Around that time. I went through some bad stuff...that’s why I didn’t see anybody for about 2 weeks, maybe 2.5.” The Celestial wasn’t sure where to begin. “I run into my ex, it’s complicated...but whatever this darkness, that’s coming over the city...it...it….affected us both.” Artemis managed to choke out. Trying to catch her breathe, as she felt Ridley’s hand on her knee. The Celestial went on to try and explain everything that happened in the woods that night; her and Ery fighting over the past, before it turned into physical fights when the hallucinations began, to drive them into confusion and anger. Fueling, them both. If they hadn’t stopped, they would have been dead.

“As the night went on, the hallucinations got worse. I didn’t know what was real...and what was a figment of imagination.” Artemis traced the rim of her tea cup, with her fingertip. “After we found a small abandoned cabin. For a while, it was quite...like everything stopped. I went into another room, to look for something. That’s when I got trapped, like something was keeping the door magically shut. And just those random faces haunting me again. It was suffocating. And this...this voice in my head, telling me how to put an end to it. I didn’t know what came over me...it’s like...I couldn’t control what I was about to do.” Tears had pooled up in her eyes so thickly, than they started rolling down her cheeks. “I grabbed the first vile, I saw on the table…..it was poison. After I blacked out...I had no idea what happened next. I just woke up in a hospital bed, few hours later…” She still remembered it clear as day, getting the news she almost died. “I was in the hospital for almost a week, before they sent me home, bed rest to finish recovering at home. That’s what the appointments were for...to...for the doctors to make sure, I was fully recovering and that there were no side-effects.”

Artemis swallowed harshly, knowing tons of questions would probably come at her now that the truth was out. “I can’t sleep. Anytime, I close my eyes and try and fall asleep. It’s like I am back there again, re-living those moments. Constantly being haunted by the memory...even when I am awake.” It was like those hallucinations and dreams, came in the daytime too. It was making her sleep deprived and feeling, like she was going crazy.

Sipping her own tea Rids did her best to follow along she wasn’t sure where she was going the way she started off it almost sounded like Mitra was sick and possibly dying. Which of course is exactly where the Diviner’s dark thoughts jumped to but she did her very best to stay quiet as the Celestial took a breath and continued on about her ex. Ridley had heard about the Darkness but yet to experience it for herself; instead, she had her own kind of darkness hunting her.

Ridley tried to hide her gasp but failed, the poor Diviner didn’t know how to console her friend at this moment, other than to listen to her more and more. Ridley couldn’t imagine having gone through something like that with Aster or Colin it would have been devastating and with everything else. Ridley squeezed her friends' knee to let her know she was still there.

“Oh, Mitra love.” Ridley hugged her tight. She was a bit mad at herself for not knowing that her best friend was going through something so horrible and so traumatic alone; for not knowing for not helping sooner.

“Would it help if you slept with someone next to you?” She asked softly wanting to deal with the sleep deprivation before anything else. “Or maybe, there is a spell to lock away those memories or a spell where I can enter your mind and fend them off while you sleep? Help you get strong enough again to fight them off on your own. There is no way you can do much of anything going on like this sweetheart.” Ridley would need to Call Wyatt and see if he knew of anything Ridley could do or use.

Her Boss had his hand dipped into many different types of magic she was sure he would be able to help her with something.

As The Celestial took a sip, of her tea. She tried to keep her hands from shaking. But the subject had always left her unsettled. Artemis registered the loud gasp that left her diviner friend. It was to be expected. It wasn’t exactly, news that someone could react casually too. Unless, someone was devoid of emotion and compassion; then they’d probably be stiff as a rock, during a conversation like this. But a lot of people in her life, had more compassion and love, than she could put into words. Which she was glad off.

Feeling Ridley wrap her arms around her. Artemis rested her cup of tea, against her other leg. Her free arm wrapping around the Diviner. Hiding her face in Ridley’s shoulder. More tears running down her cheeks. “I am sorry...I know, it’s not news you’d wanna hear.” Why was she apologising? Artemis had no real idea. But she knew, it would probably burden Ridley a bit. She was sure, The Diviner had her own set of things to deal with, in life.

“I don’t know...I mean...I’d probably just end up keeping the other person awake.” Artemis spoke, as Ridley suggested having someone sleeping next to her. If she couldn’t sleep/kept waking from nightmares/having flash-backs in the middle of the night, she’d doubt anyone else sleeping beside her, would have a calm night because of her.

“Is there even such a spell?” Artemis slightly croaked, as Ridley suggested a spell to look away those memories, until she could be stronger to deal with it on her own. Artemitra knew Diviner magic was powerful. But she had no idea, if such a spell was even out there, let alone possible. Would they just be chasing a crazy lead, that’d get them no-where, or actually help?

Was there such a spell the diviner tried to rack her brain of the many spells that she did know but she was coming up empty; maybe she was only coming up empty because her emotions were on such a high level with this situation being so close and personal to her. “I uh... I hope so.” Ridley squeezed her friend’s arm. “I am going to go call Brookie and see if he knows anything okay.”

She stood up “If there is, I promise we will do all we can today for you, I won’t stop till you are able to rest at ease again.” She gave her a soft smile. “There is more Tea in the kitchen, and plenty of food help yourself to anything make yourself at home while I go make that call.” Ridley walked down the hall.

Once in her bedroom she closed the door and spelled her room to be soundproof, she didn’t want Mitra to over hear the conversation in case it was bad news. Dialing the familiar number of her boss and friend she knew it was early but knowing Wyatt he was still up doing some kind of research hopped up on caffeine likely. Listening to the ringing she heard is voice on the other line.

“Hey Brookie, yeah yeah I know what time it is, but this is important I need your brain, and I need your full attention for a bit.” Ridley waited for the man to situate himself after all it was about 4 am now. “Okay so I have this friend who is having trouble sleeping.... Because of... umm... bad things... Is there a spell I can do to either block her memory of the events... or enter her mind to help her combat the things that scare her? Help her build a block until she is strong enough to face the demons so to speak?” Ridley knew she was talking faster than she often did but she was worried and she didn’t want to have to leave Mitra alone for too long.

Ridley felt her heart breaking on the inside first her ex Aster and now Mitra, who was next to be hurting Ridley wanted to burst with emotions and go after everyone responsible for hurting the ones she loved and she could feel the protective side of her building up. The emotions Ridley packed down all the time she was ready for them to let go on someone or something. Coming out of her thoughts as Wyatt began to talk, grabbing a pad of paper and a pen ready to write any advice he had to offer her.

Wyatt had fallen asleep, again, with his head on the desk at home. It was the annoyance of his phone ringing that woke him from the uneasy sleep as he reached around frantically to make the thing shut up. His hand fumbled with the cell and he opened one eye to groggily look at who was calling that he was about to possibly put a curse on. It took a moment for his brain to comprehend that it was Ridley calling and if it was this late, perhaps something was actually wrong.

Sliding his finger over the green button to accept her call, he swiped his face of the piece of paper that clung to him, and looked at the digital clock on the desk which told him the time of day it was at all locations around the world. 4am. This had better be good. "Ridley?" he said in a slightly raspy voice. "Do you know what time it is? Are you alright?" His hand wrapped around the back of his neck to rub his muscles from the ache that had formed there from the strange position he had fallen asleep in. His lower back was also not being so kind. He definitely needed to stop making this a habit.

His brow furrowed as she began explaining the reason for her call. Wyatt mentally shook his head of the fog he was still under and reached for the coffee cup that was on top of a small stack of his notes. Drinking from the mug, the cold contents made his features scrunch in displeasure before he put it back down and stood up from the chair. The diviner began to pace as Ridley went on and he sighed in a pause before answering her question.

"Rids, that kind of magic is dangerous stuff," he began, clearly aware of the distress in her voice. Whoever she wanted the spell for was obviously someone she cared about. "Messing around in people's heads never really turns out well, especially if you're trying to put a block in for some reason, whether good intentions or not. There are ways to get into someone's dreams, but even then you're risking you're own mental stability." Wyatt immediately thought of Penny and how she was an expert at traversing the dream world of others which was a certain level of magic many could not do with decades of practice.

Ridley immediately fired back at Wyatt by pleading for help and despite all his known knowledge on the subject, it was hard saying no to her when she had helped him in so many ways that he couldn't really ever thank her for. He ran a hand through his hair and closed his eyes, knowing he might regret what he was about to say. "Okay, I'll be there in thirty. There's a spell I can use that will make your.. friend and you fall asleep. You'll be able to enter her dreams and maybe confront whatever it is your friend needs to in order to help her rest more easily and move on from whatever it is that she needs to deal with. I'll play referee from the waking world and if I see that you're under too much duress while you're both sleeping, I'll end the spell and bring you both back awake if you can't do it on your own." He sighed out and eyed his bookcase already regretting this decision. "Ridley, you have to understand that this is really dangerous magic. If you're hurt in the dream world, you're hurt in the waking one. Just make sure you're both ready for this by the time I get there. Oh, and definitely put on a pot of coffee cause I'll need it to stay awake." Wyatt ended the call and grabbed one of the many ancient grimoire from the bookshelf to prep all the things he would need to bring over and prepare for this dark magic to work with the hopes that it wouldn't end as badly as he thought it might.

The Celestial nodded slightly,as Ridley mentioned calling her Diviner boss. “I might need to thank him, if he even knows anything that could help.” She felt a pang of guilt. Ridley waking up Wyatt, for her own sake. The man was most likely asleep. It didn’t feel right, having to drag someone else, into this situation. But she knew how much Ridley wanted to help her. It was one of the things, she loved and admired about her best-friend.

“I know, you always want to help everyone. But I can’t help but feel bad, for dragging your boss into this. I don’t even know him.” She had just heard a heap load of good things about Wyatt, from Ridley. It seemed like, their partnership had been working out pretty well for her Diviner friend. Having the job of a life-time and a good friend, in one mix from the situation.

Giving Ridley, a weak smile. Letting her best-friend go into the other room, to make the designated phone call. Artemis eventually pulled herself off of the couch. Heading into the kitchen, to grab herself some more tea. Her cup had gone cold. Emptying the cold tea into the sink; she refilled her mug with the warm tea, that was left over in the pot. Her stomach rumbled slightly. Glancing into Ridley’s fridge; she saw the diviner had some lasagna left. Honestly, the Celestial could use some food. Any type of food. Grabbing herself a plate. She dished out some food for herself; before popping it into the microwave to heat up the pasta goodness. Her stomach churning and whining. The Celestial had been more hungry, than she had realised.

Once the timer let out a ding, on the microwave; she retrieved the steaming plate out. Taking her food and tea into the living room, she sat down at the small table to eat properly. It was a few long moments, before she heard the room to Ridley’s bedroom door opening. Artemis looked up towards her best-friend, half curious and maybe half worried. “Anything useful from Wyatt?” Hopefully, she wouldn’t be too expectant of good news. Truthfully, she wasn’t sure what sort of news she was hoping for, from Ridley’s boss. As she could only assume, it’d prove to be dangerous. It self sounded tricky; Ridley wanting to poke around in her mind, to put up a protective block up.

Listening to Wyatt tell her how dangerous this kind of magic could be she pleaded and begged Wyatt to help “Brookie please she is my best friend, almost like my lifeline... my wifey you could say and seeing her suffer is making me worry. If I worry too much then I won’t be at the top of my game for working with you. We both know how dangerous those jobs get sometimes. I am getting stronger with my magic thanks to you. You can guide me through it all.” She said as she readied her pen knowing Wyatt couldn’t refuse her logic. What she had not been expecting though was him telling her he was on his way over and he would watch over them and pull them out if anything risky started to happen.

Ridley could smell the food the moment she opened the door, listening to Wyatt’s Warning to nodded her head “Love you Brookie” She said and hung up the phone. Ridley knew that the pair were strong together and they could go up against anything as long as they were together. With Wyatt there to help Ridley was confident they would be ready. Once walking into the living room, she offered Mitra a small.

So, Wyatt’s on his way over, he wants coffee So I have to go put that on. “She walked into the kitchen trying to figure out what to tell Mitra she knew if she told her the full truth Mitra would object simply because Ridley could get hurt. Ridley was stubborn in that way, “Alright so Wyatt knows a spell that can put us both to sleep and I can enter your dream world, and together we can face what you need to face and or whatever challenge you need to get over. Once that is done, he will wake us up and you should be able to go about life as normal.” For now, she would leave out the part of potentially having to lock the bad things away in a secret almost safe in her mind. Ridley would reveal those things only if they had to go that far.

Sitting next to her friend “You have to trust me for this to work fully, I want to help you and I don’t want you to say no but we have to be careful in there.” Ridley took Mitra's hand into her own. “If we get hurt in there, we get hurt out here too. But Wyatt will be standing here watching and waiting over us. He won’t let anything happen I promise.” Ridley was very confident in Wyatt’s abilities to pull them out if things got rough. Afterall Ridley and Wyatt had an undeniable connection that was hard to explain to anyone who didn’t know them well enough.

When Wyatt arrived, Ridley introduced the two to each other and helped Wyatt get set up in Ridley’s bedroom with the spell. She felt that she and Mitra could lay on a soft comfy bed instead of a hard floor for this. Ridley didn’t know how long the spell would take, so being comfortable was a priority for now. She also sat a chair next to the bed for Wyatt as well as snacks and drinks so he wouldn’t have to venture too far for nourishment during the time they were under.

As soon as everything was set up Ridley lay down on the side closet to Wyatt and held out her right hand for Mitra to hold onto. “Whatever we do don’t let go in real life.” She said knowing they needed to keep a physical connection or else Ridley would be kicked out of her Dreamworld. Once Mitra lay down Ridley looked to Wyatt “I trust you, and love you. I’ll be home again before you know it.” She winked. And with that Ridley fell fast asleep in the real world.

The moment, Ridley mentioned that Wyatt was coming over. Artemis looked somewhat shocked. Now, there was something she wasn’t expecting. Before she could really ask questions about the whole thing, Ridley walked into the kitchen. Leaving the Celestial somewhat flustered with the new detail. How dangerous was the spell, if Wyatt had to come over? Or did it just require an extra person? As she was eating the heated up lasagna, her eyes widened “What? No...no no...absolutely not!” Artemis gasped out, when she heard what Ridley said about entering her dream. It was bad enough that the Celestial had to relive the nightmare of those events; each and single night. Now Ridley wanted to venture into her dreams too? Yep...it sounded like a bad...very very very bad and dangerous idea to her.

Of course, Ridley was stubborn. But the Celestial was worried that her best-friend could get hurt. Maybe telling her the truth wasn't a good move. If she knew, she’d want to get involved this heavily.

“How do you expect me to say yes?!” Artemis looked at her best-friend with wide eyes. “Have you heard, how totally utterly crazy and dangerous that plan sounds?!” No matter how much she trusted Ridley, she still had her doubts. The young Diviner had no idea what she was getting herself into. Artemis knew the darkness and power, the dark diviner possessed; after all...he messed with her mind so much back then; that it scared her to think about what else he could really be capable of. And that the darkness would affect Ridley. “You know, that doesn’t really help, keep me calm.” Artemis frowned slightly, as she mentioned the possibility of being hurt both in the dream world and out here, if things went wrong.

By the time Wyatt arrived, Mitra had been protesting for the better of the last half an hour. Trying to talk Ridley out of it. But to no avail. Feeling full from the early morning food. It made her feel sleepy. Greeting Wyatt, Artemis sighed. “Any chance, you can help me talk Ridley out of this?” she questioned. But no matter her argument, her friend didn’t want to budge. She just hoped that both Diviners knew what they were doing.

Looking at the bed with slight trepidation. It took her a few moments, to even lay down on Ridley’s bed. Whether it was the fact, she was so sleep deprived, or the fact she was full. The spell had a faster effect on her. As her hand clasped around Ridley’s. Artemis didn’t even have a chance to complain one last time; she was out like a light. Falling into a deep sleep.

For a few moments, The Celestial looked calm. But the deeper she went into the dream state. Sweat and discomfort began to grace her features. Her breathing getting panicky, as the familiar nightmare took a hold of her.

~ Dream World ~

Darkness. Nothing but darkness surrounded the duo. Standing in the middle of the very familiar yet eerie wooded area. The Celestial could feel tingles go down her spine. In the darkness, the creepy fog slowly creeped up on them. Causing the Celestial try and bolt. Tugging Ridley away from the oncoming fog with her.

No matter how hard she tried running. It was like she was running on the spot. Unable to out run to fog.Unable to run away, from what she knew was coming.

A sinister laugh echoed inside of her head. “You can’t out-run me. I will always find you.”

“Just leave me alone!” Artemis gasped out, shaking her head. Trying to shake out the whispering and voice from her mind. Images of the rogue Valkyr that attacked her that night. Suddenly appeared out of the fog, dancing around her and Ridley in a tormenting way. The magical fog, figure leaping at her. Making the Celestial shriek out. But it always disappeared into thin air...before it made contact with her or Ridley.

Artemis felt like everything was constantly spinning around her. “Ridley, you have to leave.” she urged her best-friend. Not wanting her to get hurt. Could she really, take her best-friend on the emotional turmoil and madness of memories in her dream? But it was too late now.

Ridley felt a little dizzy from the little adventure she felt slightly foggy like her surroundings taking a moment to try and adjust to being in her best friend's mind. Before Ridley could even begin to question things Mitra was already tugging her and running. Ridley ran with her hearing the evil laughter, though it didn’t scare Ridley as much as it seemed to scare Mitra. Ridley Squeezed her hand trying to remind her she wasn’t alone this time.

Ridley cast a spell that allowed a small ball of light to float in front of the girls to help guide their way. “I am not leaving you, not until we help you with all of this.” Taking her friend's hand, Ridley looked around trying to find where the figure had vanished. This was just a memory it wasn’t happening again; it was just Mitra’s mind playing the moment over and over.

The duo needed to find a way to break the loop, they needed to do something that she didn’t in the real world. They needed to defeat the thing or alter it in some way to allow the poor Celestial a chance to escape the loop she was stuck in.

Ridley had an arsenal of spells at her disposal and hopefully, that would be enough, if Anything Wyatt was watching over them and he could tell if anything was going horribly wrong or not. Ridley turned to Mitra and placed both hands on her shoulders. “Hey sweetheart it’s okay I am here, focus on me just me. Steady yourself I can practically hear your heart. Breathe.” She coaxed the brunette.

When Mitra had calmed Ridley looked around them “Alright, just remember you are not alone, I am here and we are not some weak defenceless women.” Ridley had never seen Mitra use her abilities but she knew by how she carried herself that Mitra was much stronger than she gave herself credit for.
