Siobhan let out a squeak not to be too loud for she didn't want to wake Billie Mae. "What the hell Dominic." She hissed out and then sighed not even fighting him after all he had an idea stuck in his head there was no way to stop the strong headed Wolf. She felt her body being tossed into the air landing in a tube feeling herself float away and she looked back to him and shook her head seeing him following closely behind her tossing her the rope, she tied the rope around the tube. She leaned her head back as the golden rays of the sun beat down soaking into her breathing life into her. She stayed quiet for a moment before looking back to him when he spoke. "clearings one heads is a good thing." She agreed and then closed her eyes again "This river reminds me of the one near my family farm." She said and then let out a shaky breath.
They didn't speak as they floated for a while it was a good chance for Siobhan to clear her head, after the long times of silence she spoke and looked to Dominic, "I get to in my head at times, its just a lot to take in at once you know?" she said with a soft sigh. "I just want to make sure you are not placing yourself in danger because of some mark place upon you." When he shot her a look she chuckled "Okay, Okay I will drop it for now." She said, The further they got down the river it was as if they made a wrong turn. Dominic wouldn't have noticed these woods, but Siobhan did. She looked around and then looked to him "Ah." She did say anything she was out of the raft and was swimming to the shore. Once there she walked on the bank soaking wet as she looked back to him "Come on." She said as she began to move through the woods and stopped looking at the old barn she build a long time ago.
She was running now running towards the house jumping over the fence that was there and stood there in front of the house, she hadn't been back that night. She wasn't sure if she was running to confront her mother or to hug her. There she was at the door yanking it open running inside "Mother!" she called out and then moved through the house "Mother!" she called out again but feeling out she knew that she wasn't there, the house looked ransacked and it wasn't until she entered her room, the only untouched room in the house, she saw the note on her bed. She walked over and picked it up.
Dear Siobhan,
I hope you come home one day and find this note waiting for you. I have come to learn that I messed up, Your father, your real father gave you to us as a gift and we broke you. I broke you. You were a kind soul who only wanted to be full of light and I wanted you to be perfection. But we were to teach you that there is no such thing as perfect, and that was okay. I messed you up, I started taking that light out of your eyes, and for that I am sorry. Your brother, your father were the best thing to ever happen to you. Please learn to be the woman you are meant to be. Save lives, Find Love, and when your time comes accept your place in heaven. Along side your father, Michael. Top draw of your dresser, there is a present left to you, that I was to give you when you were seven but I didn't think you were ready, I should have never doubted Michael, The gifts from Michael to help you in your journey. I leave this note for you because I can not face you my dear little Angel. One day I hope that I can make this up to you but for now please do not come looking for me.
I will forever love you as if you were my real daughter,
Sophia (Mom)
Siobhan had lowered to her bed as she sniffled and looked to the dresser as she stood up pulling it open. Inside was a necklace, a ring and the hilt of a sword. She pulled the box they sat in out and sat them on the bed chewing on her lip softly before reaching down sliding the ring on her finger as it was a perfect fit and the stone started to glow along with her eyes. She placed the necklace around her neck and wind picked up in the room as the stone glowed around it. Finally picking up the hilt of the sword light shot out of it and she felt the surge of power through her. Laughing out she blinked and then heard the voice inside her head, "Glad you found your gifts my daughter. Now I can keep a better eye on you." As quick as the voice came it was gone and the glowing had stopped. It was like a rush of new information surged her body, angel history filling her brain and she slumped forward before she felt his hand underneath her arm steadying her. Her purple gaze lifted to him and she smiled weakly as she turned the sword so it turned back into just a hilt. "Thank you." She muttered.
She tucked the hilt of the sword in her back pocket and laid her hand on his chest and the power she felt passed from her into his body surging him with the power she now felt watching his eyes flash purple for a moment she chuckled softly, Her hand staying on the mark of his tattoo seeing that it is glowing under her touch. "You have free will." She said as she blinked a few times before looking to him and flinched as she felt like a library had been dropped in her head all of sudden and yet she found what she was looking for the most important question to her that need to be answer, as she began to speak her eyes glowed more "When a rare Angel child is born a protector is mark, The mark is simply to allow the Protector to find the Angel Child and allow the Angel Child to know that the protector is to be trusted. As angels it is our job to make sure every creature have free will, if free will is taken away from the Protector the Angel Child will become fallen and be striped of their powers. The protector has the choice to protect the child, if they no longer wish to protect the child, the mark will move to the next in line. If the Angel child chooses to let a Protector go the Protectors memory will be whipped of the Angel child. This is to ensure that the Angel child will be protected no matter what wither it is the protectors choice or the angels. Protectors of angels have been honored with automatic cleansing of sins among their selves and their family. Protectors can be friend, teachers, lovers, and much more to the Angel Child all depends on what both the protector and Angel child want from their relationship. Most noted Protector was Merlin over King Arthur." She took a sharp breath and he head slump forward and she took a deep breath and smiled wide, He had his free will, he could leave if he wanted to, he was protecting her to protect her. "You have free will." She whispered softly again.
After a long moment after she regained her strength she cleared her throat before explaining, "Well, My mother was given these angel items to give to me, which she was to do when I turned seven but she didn't think I deserved them." She said looking to the letter on the bed. "I have been connected to like this massive angel library that is in my head, but I am going to need your helps focus and learning to control everything. That is if you still wish to be my Protector Dominic, this is your choice." She said as she looked into his eyes and smiled softly. "I will understand if you want to get off this crazy train you have been thrown into." She said as her rested head never left on his chest, she could feel his heart beat quicken. She wondered if he would take this out return to his life in the woods or if he would stay by her side. "This is the last time I will ask if you wish to stay by my side Dominic, because now I will know its truly your choice." She said "I will stop doubting you and myself." She need to hear him say it.
As they continued down the river, Siobhan's sudden exclamation made him raise his head to look over the tube's edge to see what she was looking at. To his surprise, they were not on the same path as the current should've taken them. It was like they'd been sent here on purpose, which got him wondering. Before he even had a chance to stop her, Dominic watched as Siobhan jumped in the water. "What the hell are you doing?!" She was making way for the shore and beckoning him to come along. Not that he had a problem with the swim, but the water at this time of the year was more than a little cold. Nothing would beat the freezing temperatures of Washington where he would jump in the frozen rivers ever year as a tribe tradition, but that was a long time ago and he wasn't exactly a fan of winter.
Dominic groaned once and jumped in the massive river. As he surfaced, he let out more than a few curses before pulling the line that the tubes were being held together with along to the shoreline. He was certainly not going to get his ass chewed out by Billie Mae for losing them. He tugged at his clothing which was now stuck to him like glue, letting out a short laugh, and went to tie the tubes to the nearest tree. "Ok, you're gonna have to tell me what you're up to because..." but when Dominic looked up, he saw Siobhan was racing towards a house that was farther back along some unkempt property. "Hey! Wait! Siobhan, wait!" He didn't like the idea of her running off alone. He especially didn't like the idea when they were in an unknown place, though he had the feeling she knew the home very well.
When he reached the house, he could tell it hadn't been inhabited for a while. Things were overturned and the dust had collected. The grass and farm had overgrown as nature tended to do when humans stepped back. Dominic called out her name, but there was no answer. He took the stairs two at a time and finally found her as she was sitting on a bed, placing a piece of paper down. His brow furrowed as he tried to make sense of the things she was holding. With each new piece she picked up, a magical energy would fill the room.
Siobhan walked over to him as he stayed in the doorframe. She placed her hand on the part of his chest which housed his Guard tattoo and felt a surge of energy pass through him. It was like a cloud had been lifted over him and he shook his head slightly. "The hell was that?" Dominic watched as Siobhan seemed to have suddenly gathered all the information to the questions she had. She explained to him about the role of Angel Child and Protector and tried to take it all in stride. The choice was now his. He could walk away from her and be wiped of all the memories they'd shared over the last several days or he could stay by her side and help her through this new journey of her life. He had free will.
Dominic sighed and leaned against the doorway. His gaze went from the floor to the top of her head as she leaned against his chest. He put a hand under her chin and lifted her face up. Her eyes looked brighter than they'd been since meeting with a stronger hue of the Nephilim purple. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm here because I want to be. I need to be. I will help you train and develop into the powerful being you're meant to become. I'll try and be whatever you need me to be to get you through it." He grabbed her into a bear hug and placed his chin on the top of her head. "Next time, don't go jumping into freezing water though because I'm not chasing you down again." He chuckled and kissed her forehead as he squeezed some of the water from his hair. His gaze fell on the letter she'd been holding which now lay on the bed. Dom didn't want to pry, but he wondered if it was a bit of reconciliation that her mother was finally providing. "I'm guessing you used to live here?"
Siobhan was going to have to learn how to not get whipped out after using the new found knowledge, she was mainly using him to hold her up at the point as her energy filled her again, She was sure that was a side effect of the learning she was going to go through for who knows how long. She felt his hand pull her chin up and she smiled wide at him as he agreed to stay with her. He didn't want her whipped from his mind, he wanted to stay by her side and that meant more to her than anything. She let out a loud laugh as he picked her up hugging her, her arms wrapped around him instinctively. When she was placed back on her feet she pulled away and laughed some to him closing her eyes as he kissed her forehead, "Oh please Dominic chasing me is the reason you have gotten out of bed the last few days." She teased as she followed his gaze as it looked over to the letter on the bed, with a nod she walked over picking up the letter in her hands. "seems that mom couldn't handle being alone so she left this letter in hopes I would come back one day." She walked over handing him the letter, "You can read it but I want you to strip out of your wet clothes." As he gave her a smirk with a raised eyebrow she rolled her eyes and walked out of the room returning with a towel and a blanket.
"I am going to start a fire and then I will hang our clothes outside to dry that away we don't get sick. Now I have clothes." She motioned around her old room. "But sadly my brother, nor my father were as..." She looked him over taking in the shirt clinging to his well defined body. "They weren't as well defined as you are." She said before she took a step back from him closing her bedroom door before returning to the living area. She looked around, memories flooded her as she walked over starting the fire in the fire place, opening the wood box making sure it was full of wood, it was still which made her think her mother left that night also. Sighing softly she knew they had enough wood to keep the fire going for hours. She pulled at the shirt that was clinging to her as the cold wetness of it was beginning to bother her. Hearing the door of her bedroom she looked over to him as he walked out the blanket around him. "Its a good look for you, though I am sure you have heard that more then once." She chuckled as she rose to her feet and made her way to her room closing the door once again.
She pulled off the wet clothes and shoes before she moved over to her dresser pulling out her favorite blue flannel shirt, and a pair of black sleep pants, taking a deep whiff of the clothes they smelled like home which caused a sad smile to form on her lips. She sighed as she pulled them on and pulled out her hiking back pack loading it with the clothes from her room. She preferred her woodsman like clothes over the ones Isaac always bought her. After the bag was stuffed she picked up the wet clothes and shoes and then walked out sitting the bag by the door and looked to him as he was flipping through one of the photo albums that had been around the living room, chuckling knowing her was getting a kick out of seeing the little blonde girl in all her tomboy glory. She walked outside making her way over to the clothes line hanging the clothes quickly and looked up to the sky as they only had about an hour or so left of day light, thinking they may have to stay there tonight make there way back to Billie in the morning. Billie Mae would need to rest for a day or two, after all housing an archangel was not easy for anyone the fact Billie was still standing made her realize Billie was powerful and not to be messed with.
She walked back inside rubbing her hands together and walked over to the fire as she held her hands out warming them before looking over to him "Well I may be able to find some moonshine or coffee," She walked over looking at the last photo they had taken as a family, the only blonde sitting in the middle of the three black haired beauties. "Sophia, my mother, She tended to do family photos with us every year. This was a few weeks before everything happened." She said pulling back making her way to the kitchen as she looked around finding a few jars of moonshine and carried them back to the living room and sat them down next to Dominic. Before walking around sitting next to him opening one of the Albums and laughed out loud, looking at a photo of her covered head to toe in mud, She ran her fingers over the photos. "Some times I miss the innocents that comes with being a child." She smiled sadly before looking to him.
Dominic nodded to her as she suggested taking his soaking wet clothes off. That would be no problem at all. He was starting to feel the chill down to the bones. Closing her bedroom door, he took in the surroundings again. It was strange being in there when it hadn't been occupied in a while and the rest of the house being a disheveled abandonment. After stripping, he wrapped the blanket around himself and felt better already. With a last look, he opened the door once more and came out into the living room giving Siobhan the chance to change next.
He walked over to the fireplace and knelt down to gather some of the heat radiating from the flames. His mind traced over the crazy events that were unfolding day after day. He'd never thought it would've led to this. Being someone's sworn protector was unreal. He was so used to pushing people away that having to keep someone near would be challenging. Siobhan made it a lot more easy. Dominic couldn't ignore the fact that he felt a connection with her even when the bond that kept them drawn to one another was removed. He wondered where it would lead. Where he could allow it to lead. Where he would allow it to lead.
As his mind wandered, Dominic suddenly noticed a family album on the table and picked it up. He flipped open the pages and grinned seeing her as a child, her blonde hair striking compared to the rest of her family. He even openly laughed when he saw a picture of her taking no crap from her brother. She had spunk since she was young. No surprise there. He picked his head up as she came back into the room and listened while she spoke about her family. "...before everything happened." Her family had fallen apart in one night just as his did, with his decaying over years of pain.
When Siobhan passed Dom the moonshine, he couldn't help but make a face. He hadn't dipped into this stuff in a long time and smirked after grimacing. "Well, if ever there was a time when I could use some heavy shit like this, today would be a good day to start." He let out a dramatic puff of air and tossed the jar of deadly alcohol back. As soon as the liquid hit his throat, he had a flashback to when he and his older brother had gotten sick off the stuff when a friend of his stole it from his father and sneaked it over to their house. All three of them got their asses kicked by their respective parents. After swallowing he let out a laugh. "Man, that will make you forget who you are."
Suddenly, a piece of paper appeared in front of him in midair that was crackling with fire around the edges. He nearly dropped the moonshine as the words began to show up on the letter while floating into his hand. "Well, I see the two of you have found out some more regarding your purpose together, but I expect both your butts back here in the morning so we can talk about Jack. Be on your best behavior, boy, or I'll inflict pain worse than any Nephilim could cause you!" The note suddenly caught fire again in Dominic's hand and he dropped it into the fireplace with an eyeroll. "I swear I can never get a moment's peace when she's got her sights on me. Literally."
Siobhan held on to one jar of the moonshine, something she pretty much grew up on stealing from her parents, she still felt as if she was going to get in trouble for touching it. She undid the lid tossing it on the table beside her and looked to him chuckling as he was dramatic for a moment. "Oh please today was easy compared to the shit we are going to go through together." She said as she took a long swig from the jar feeling the warmth run through her as she let her eyes fluttered closed before coughing and chuckling "Dear god dad made these few strong." She took another swig and then sat it beside her. She could already feel it hitting her. "That it will." She agreed as she watched the flames dance upon his face from the fire place before pulling her gaze to the paper that feel into his hand chuckling softly "Billie may be stronger then I thought." She said taking another sip from the jar.
She let her mind wonder through the library in head learning how to block Dom out made things easier on them both for now, As she was about to go through something in her head about her father it closed off from her frowning her eyes caught the note as it went up in flames and she gasp softly before letting out a light laugh. "Well that is because she wants to make sure you are bring a good boy." she teased him as she took another sip from the jar and then sat it down once again and moved so she could rest her arm on the back of the couch looking to him taking in his bare chest letting her eyes drift before focusing them back on his gaze. Her mind wondered to them for the briefest of moments before her hand came to his tattoo on his chest moving closer to him watching the swirls under the thick ink begin to show up. "What did she want for real? Do we need to head back? I am sure she would get a kick out of you in just a blanket." She snicker softly as her finger tips traced along the tattoo slowly.
Her eyes glued to the mark for a long moment just moving her finger tips lightly along it then tracing it with her nail softly. She slowly pulled her gaze from the tattoo, She hadn't notice that she was sitting backwards on the couch his arm over her legs helping her stay sitting the way she was as she touched him. She wasn't sure if it was the moonshine swirling in her or the connection they both felt, it was more then a protecter but how much more was the real question, She trailed her hand up his chest to his shoulder keeping her balance, she moved closer to him. "He still isn't around. I am not sure if I am getting better of pushing him out or what, but we are alone." She said softly as her nose pressed against his jaw line as she spoke.
Dominic snickered while taking another swig of the moonshine, shaking his head. "She's just hellbent on making my life miserable as per usual. I think she has a plan for Jack too. It will undoubtedly involve pain coming my way. Oh and if she sees me in a blanket with nothing else, she'll light me on fire instantly. I'm the no good drunk that sleeps with every woman, remember?" He shrugged with a laugh. " She ain't all wrong..."
He noticed Siobhan was looking at his Ailward Guard tattoo on his chest. She seemed to be mesmerized by it and Dom could only assume she could see the brand built underneath by her father. As with all his tattoos, he remembered getting this one well. He'd been on an all week bender do to his doubts of living up to what Aureus really thought he could be. The Ailward gave him more than a few raised eyebrows as he sat in the chair receiving his mark. He was quick to take his flask after the fifth swig in the first two minutes of being there. However, as soon as the black ink began to swirl permanently into his skin, Dominic became more determined to be a better man. Since then, he'd certainly made progress, but he was far from perfect.
As her hand touched his skin, he watched her eyes tracing the design. After taking another sip Dominic snatched her wrist in his much larger hand. He gave her a deadly look. Things got complicated when feelings were involved. They shouldn't. But as always, he didnt listen to what logic was trying to tell him.
Dominic put a hand under her thigh and pulled her to straddle his lap. It had only been a week since she'd been through a traumatic event and he didn't want her to do something she wasn't ready for or something she didn't really want in the first place. Trauma and adrenaline could cause mixed feelings and make people do things they normally wouldn't. On the other hand, Dominic wanted to show her that what she'd gone through was not how intimacy was supposed to be. He wished he could erase it.
He kept his hand on her wrist while never letting his gaze move from hers. "Are you sure?" Dominic realized it was the first time he'd ever asked a woman that. Any other time it was just sex, but with her it was something else, though he still wasn't sure what. He looked at her again, stressing the words. "Are you sure?"
Siobhan chuckled ever so lightly as he talked about Billie Mae, "I think she loves you more then you know. She wants whats best for you, If she wanted to make you miserable she would have left you to your vices." She said softly and nodded softly "I hope she has a plan for Jack because I am not allowing him to harm you again. I thought I had lost you that night, I..." She swallowed hard "I can't imagine what I would have done if I lost you." She said lightly almost to low for him to hear.
She pulled her gaze from his chest to his large hand as it enveloped her tiny wrist, feeling her heart pounding in her chest as his eyes watched her, with that hungry look that she knew he kept at bay around her. She moved into his lap smoothly when his strong arm hitched under her leg pulling her into his lap her legs on either side of his legs straddling his lap, the blanket and her sleep pants were the only thing keeping them apart at this point, their eyes locked. Her hands feeling his hand still locked around her wrist, they ran up his chest slowly to his neck as her thumbs ran along the coarse beard hair, moving her finger nails from his beard back along his neck and into his messy hair. Hearing his question it was a swirling feeling inside of her, those mixed feeling they both were feeling. Again the question as he stressed the words this time, She pressed her forehead against his. "Yes." She said simply before her lips found his.
This kiss was much more heated then the ones from the kitchen earlier that day, her fingers twisting into the hair at the base of his neck as she pressed her body closer to his groaning softly against his lips, that hunger filling her flowing from her to him and back, as if touching each other only made that desire stronger. She moved her tongue from her mouth swiping it along his bottom lip as if to taste him, She wished this not be a dream because she wanted this, She wanted him. She moaned against his lips "Dominic." Her body slowly grinding against his as her lips moved against his in a heated desire.
Dominic woke the next morning as the sun shone through the window. His eyes squinted against the light and he put a hand to his face, before looking up at the ceiling. It took him a moment to realize where he was, but it all came back to him in a rush. Turning his head, he saw Siobhan was still asleep on the floor next to him as they laid on top of the blanket by the cold fireplace. Letting out a breath, Dominic quietly rolled onto his side and sat up, putting a hand through his hair and letting the events of the night go through his mind again while looking at her.
As soon as she had said his name, he lifted her flannel shirt above her head and stood, keeping her legs wrapped around his waist. He tossed the blanket that had been covering him to the floor before placing her down. Dominic wanted to be careful with her. He had asked a couple of times if she was okay because the one thing he didn't want was to hurt her in any way. Touching her skin with his fingertips, he had traced every inch of her body and then followed suit with his mouth.
His mind snapped back to the present as he reached over for one of the jars of moonshine and quickly swallowed the liquid. As the alcohol went down his throat, the flashes continued, however. The biting, gasping, kissing, scratching, moaning, wanting... Dominic quickly stood up and headed for the back door with the jar in hand. The guilt was starting to slowly creep up and spread throughout his body and he needed to retreat fast. These four walls were starting to feel like being in prison all over again. The cold hit his face as the December air moved over the property which instantly made him a little better. As he reached for his pants that Siobhan had hung up to dry from their impromptu swim, a figure came around the side of the house. "Jesus fucking Christ, Billie! You scared the shit out of me! Don't you walk or drive like a normal person instead of teleporting everywhere?"
"I will slap the taste out your mouth if you curse at me like that again, boy!" The psychic rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips in annoyance. "Put your damn pants on, will you?!"
Dominic groaned and did as was told before grabbing his t-shirt and pulling it over his head. "What are you doing here now? I got your message. We were going to head up in a few minutes. I literally just woke up."
Billie cut her eye at him and pointed a finger in his direction which made him pull back slightly as he sat down on the stairs of the porch. "Well you ungrateful little wretch, I brought your damn truck here because I went for breakfast at the diner AND I figured it would be easier bringing MY tubes back in your car than carrying them up the damn road!" Dominic closed his eyes as she ranted and drank from the jar. "And by the looks of your current wardrobe situation, I'm guessing you couldn't keep your pants on." He kept his gaze on the ground and didn't answer her as he leaned on his legs.
Suddenly, Billie was holding a cigarette out to him which he gladly took. "I thought you quit?"
"I did." She lit his before lighting her own and taking a drag. "But it's been rough lately without him, especially around the holidays, so I'm back at it again."
Dominic put the cigarette to his mouth and blew out the smoke as he continued looking at the ground. He and Billie's son, Curtis, had been on the case together, hunting the Lycan who was murdering people in Therian territory. While they were chasing him one night, the rogue Lycan had gotten the upper hand on Dominic and Curtis ended up dying to save him. It was that night Dom had sworn to always look after Billie and do whatever he could for her in her absent son's death. He had made that promise to Curtis as he lay dying on the ground. "I know I don't call enough or come by enough, Billie, and I'm sorry for it. I'm jus..."
"Boy, please." She tossed the cigarette on the ground and stomped it out with her foot. "I came here to give you hell about sleeping with that girl, but I can see you're already tearing into yourself about it and apologizing to me. You've ruined my fun." Dominic smirked and shook his head, taking another puff and leaving them in a moment's silence. "She's too young."
"I know."
"And vulnerable."
"I know."
"And getting involved with someone while you're going through some tough shit like this is never a good idea."
"I know, Billie Mae."
"Good." The older woman sat next to him on the stairs and looked out over the fields. "You're good for each other though." Dominic raised a single eyebrow and looked over at Billie. "Yea, I know, but it's true. There's a balance you give one another. It's obvious she cares for you because I can see it when she looks at you just as it's obvious you care for her because when she moves you move too. You don't have to be a psychic to see it."
Dominic tossed the cigarette on the ground and gazed off into the landscape as well. "It's different with her, but I don't know where that leaves us. I try to keep myself in check, but I'm drawn to her. I could never be anything more to her though. I just can't... so where does that leave us?"
"Dunno."
"Dunno? Billie, you're psychic."
"And? If I knew it all, I would've played the lottery and won millions and moved away to my own island where I wouldn't have to hear you complaining anymore."
Dominic couldn't help but grin and drank the rest of the moonshine. "I really wish I recorded that. Having that confession of not knowing everything would've really come in handy."
Billie gave him more side eye and then sighed. "She'll be awake soon, so listen up." The woman stood up and faced him. "There's an amulet the Protectors wore before it was lost decades ago in Therian woods. It was near where you found Siobhan"
"I've been on every inch of those woods and have never..." but he let the words trail off as he was getting a deadly stare. "Fine. What's it do?"
She shrugged and started moving backwards. "Not sure, you'll have to ask the Nephilim. Ah yes, she's waking up now."
"Oh? Something else you don't know too?" Billie gave him a choice finger before disappearing in front of him. He took a breath of the cold air and sighed before standing back up and going in the house.
As Dominic moved her sleeping body off him, she rolled over facing the fireplace as she pulled the blanket tighter around her in her sleep state, but with him leaving so did the warmth of his flesh against hers. She stirred away and heard the back door open and close in her half sleeping state. She slowly awoke and the feeling the the night before rushed over her. His strong hands ever so gentle upon her flesh almost as if she was a porcelain doll that would break if he was too rough. He never was, he showed her what her first time should have been like the passion, with each touch, bite, kiss he placed upon her showing her what was between them, the wanting, The way the magic moved between their bodies bring waves and waves of pleasure between them both, how she wished he would have been her first time but in the end he kind of was, he was her first willing time.
She laid there on the floor letting the thoughts overtake her for a few more moments but then let out a soft sigh knowing that Dominic must be upset with himself for giving in to her. No matter how much she wished he would see in her what she saw in him, she knew he had his reserves about her age, her being vulnerable. She felt as if he thought he didn’t deserve someone like her but the truth was she wasn’t good for him at least in her mind after all it was her who got him drunk last night, it was her who kissed him first, it was her who moaned his name breaking what ever restraint he may have had. She felt like a bad influence all of a sudden, but that blush arose to her cheeks as she finally pushed aside the thoughts of last night sitting up sighing knowing he had gone to get dressed thinking she should do the same.
She stood up and moved towards where her bag lay and she stood there when she heard Billie Mae voice. “She’s too young.” I know” "And vulnerable." "I know." "And getting involved with someone while you're going through some tough shit like this is never a good idea." "I know, Billie Mae." Siobhan was frowning deeply as she picked up the bag and moved away from the door, that sinking feeling stirred in her stomach as she then heard "You're good for each other though." Which made her smile as if she got Billie Mae’s approval but then she listen to Dominic as he say it was different with her but be could never be anything more. That made her heart jump in her throat causing her to feel as if she is choking as she moved away from the door to her room changing into one of the outfits she stuffed in there walking back to the living room picking up the last few things. She had returned in enough time to catch the thing about an protector Amulet before they noticed she was awake, Billie powers must have been off or she wanted Siobhan to hear what Dominic had to say.
She heard the door open as she was picking up the photo album shoving it in her bag and then stood up pulling it on her shoulder. She tucked the blonde behind her ear and turned and smiled to him as if she heard nothing other than the last part. “So protectors amulet is what we are after today?” She asked as she felt the stinging in her head all of a sudden like a book had been dropped open on it and she began to speak quickly “Protector Amulet, are rare, few and far between but when an Angel child and a Protector find said Amulet it increases the Protectors abilities far greater than anything imaged by the grace of heaven, to said Protector, along with providing a stronger link between the Angel Child and Protector, making a bond almost unbreakable. Protector will get the healing factor of the Angel Child without need blood from Angel Child. Also allows Psych link between the Angel child and Protector to be strong, or blocked out when need.” She took a sharp breath and held her hand to her head and groaned out as she gripped the mental of the fireplace to keep herself upright.
She took a few breaths before standing straight up and looked to him “Alright let’s go.” She said as she moved passed him and out the door. Her head was pounding now as she was looking through the books in her head before coming upon Ichor. She stopped in her tracks as she spoke again “Ichor is a poison that corrupts Angel Children only, while it makes other species feel as if they are dying the will most likely loose gaps of time while the Ichor works through their systerm. Ichor is used by demons when wanting an Angel child to become fallen, unless dealt with once the angel child wings go black there is no return to heaven, the child will be whipped from everyone’s memory and forced to join Lucifer.” She took another sharp breath as she felt him catch her from falling and she looked to the ground, that was why she only had till the full moon, she was being corrupted and quickly. That was why she was seeing jack because he was clinging to her corrupting her.
She pulled away from Dominic as her wings came out they were a darker gray than before and feathers were falling out. “Amulet then we have to raise Jack, before I go Dark.” She said not looking to him, She frowned softly wondering if this is a future Billie had seen maybe that is why she didn’t want them together, because she wasn’t going to do great things, because she was bad for him. She swallowed hard and saw his truck sitting there before closing the space to it, and climbing in after pulling her wings back in. She chewed on her lip as she had so many thoughts running through her mind on how they could save her from falling.
As Dominic came back into the house, he noticed Siobhan was already awake and dressed, slinging her bag over her back. He was at a loss for words since the events last night. Most of the time he was gone by the time a woman would be waking up, but this was different. This was a whole new and confusing ball game. His mouth fell open to say something, but she had beaten him to it as she asked about the amulet. He wondered how much of the conversation he and Billie had she had overheard. "Oh.. Uh, yea, Billie says it's back in Therian woods." Siobhan's face suddenly scrunched into what looked like pain and he guessed she was getting some type of information from her new found ability. As she relayed the message to him, Dominic tried to keep track of all the new powers having the artifact would bring. Everything came with a cost and he wondered what that may be had he put it on. When he saw Siobhan falter, he reached out for her, but she quickly gained control of herself and proceeded outside. Yea, this was going to be awkward.
Dominic closed the door to the abandoned house and followed behind her as they made their way to the truck. Halfway to the vehicle, Siobhan suddenly stopped and began explaining the power the ichor had against them. From what she was saying, they needed to find a way to reverse the effects of the ichor in her bloodstream or she would become a fallen Nephilim. She began to tip forward as the information stopped and he was quick to catch her. "Hey, you need to slow down," he said softly, but she pulled away from him and let her wings unfold. His lips parted slightly in shock as he took in the damage they had taken. Their color had darkened significantly and he could see where patches were missing as they'd fallen out. Dominic stepped forward to touch her, but she walked away towards the truck after muttering a few words of their plan. He sighed and went to the driver's side of the truck without another word.
They drove in silence till he got to his house. After going inside to change into new clothes and grabbing a few pieces of fruit, Dom came back outside with a backpack which had a few supplies over his shoulder. He walked to the truck and they took the short drive to where he had pulled over on the side of the road the first night they'd met. The feeling of deja vu hit him as they retraced their steps back to the spot where he had found her injured. As he looked around the immediate area, Dominic was beginning to believe Billie Mae might actually be wrong, but then he saw something that caught his eye at the bottom of the embankment. There were leaves falling into a hole at the base of the hill and as he stepped closer, he could see down into a cave. There was the unmistakable sound of moving water below, but it had to be a long drop to it from this height. "Unreal." He turned his head towards Siobhan and whistled as she was looking around several yards away. "Think I found it."
As she came over, he watched her gaze down into the darkness of the cave. They hadn't exchanged any words since her house and the tension was beginning to eat him alive. She wouldn't even look at him. It was clear last night was a mistake for her and he was feeling sick about it, despite having a stonewall face that would give no tell. He grabbed her arm and pulled her to look at him. "Listen, about last night..." He was trying to think of the right words to say, but nothing seemed like they were really right at all. "If you think it was a mistake, which I'm guessing you do, I'm really sorry. I'm not sure what I can say to fix it, but I don't want to go down into the dark hole that seems to lead to hell with us only passing a few words to each other. We need to stay focused and I want to know that you can still trust me. If... If you don't want me as your Protector anymore, I understand, but let's get this amulet for the next person so they have the best chance at saving you." The thought of having his memory wiped of her was more than he could stand, but then again... how can you miss something you didn't even know existed?
When Dominic pulled up to his home she stayed in the truck as she closed her eyes trying hard to find away to get the ichor from her system. "Come on dad show me." she muttered and then it was like he heard her the necklace started glowing and a vision of the future came to her. They were standing in the silo together on the abandon farm and she had raised Jack, she had to return the ichor in her system to Jack body to remove the visions and the ichor, it would almost kill her but it had to be done. The vision stopped as she caught herself on the dash panting out, all of this was taking so much out of her, Dominic was right she need to slow down she was trying to learn things two quickly. She leaned her body back in the seat and as he returned she closed her eyes trying to stop the spinning in her head.
Once the truck came to its next stop, She climbed out of the truck on his side taking his hand to get out as she breathed in the crisp December air, it helped clear her head as they began to make there way back to the valley he had found her that first night, She waited for him to make his way down before she slid down catching herself in his arms and quickly pulled away from him as she pulled her shirt back into place. As they walked into the clearing looking around she frowned. Wondering if Billie Magic could have been off until at the bottom of the embankment there was a hole. She moved closer to where he stood looking down into the cave. as she was about to start her way inside she felt his large hand grab her arm much like the night before pulling her back to him, making her look to him.
"It wasn't a mistake for me Dominic, I knew what I was doing, I knew that I wanted you." She said a long moment after he had finished talking. "I still want you, but when you and Billie were talking." She said lifting her blue eyes to his her hands came to his chest and frowned softly "Do you think last night was a mistake?" She asked and moved closer as a gust of air wrapped around them. "It wasn't a mistake for me, but you seem to need a moment, that was what I was giving you that space. I know that you would be gone in the morning with others, That I'm different." She muttered his words back to him. "But where does that leave us?" She asked him, it was clear she heard the vast majority of the conversation he had with Billie Mae. She moved her hand to his shoulder and squeezed lightly "As of right now that leaves us as we have always been in a gray area." She gave him a soft smile before sliding her hands up around his neck "As long as you got my back and I got yours we don't have to define anything, not until your ready to decide what I am to you." She ran her nose against his shivering against the cold of the day, She pressed a gentle, wanting kiss to his lips keeping her body pressed to his.
When she pulled back and began to walk into the cave "after all you shouldn't feel bad it was I who tempted you, so you are stuck with me unless you decide to whip your own memory." She called over her shoulder with a sad laugh as she pulled the flash light out of her bag she moved it around the darkness of the cave when a angel symbol caught her eye. "This way." she said back to him as they kept moving deeper and deeper into the cave. She had lost track of time until she stood there following the symbols through the cave till the came upon a pool of water in the bottom lay a necklace that began to glow. "I think that is it." She said pulling her bag off her shoulders, along with her clothes. "I'll swim down and go get it just in case there is something about the water." She said looking back to him now naked. "Stand guard?" She said as she stepped into the water. She shivered slightly before diving in, The water began to bubble and turn black making it hard for her to see. She swam to the bottom and her eyes saw the faint glowing. The water was burning her flesh, and the ichor in her system was causing the water to react this way. She reached out gripping the necklace and then felt her head swoon as she felt light headed. She swam back up hearing his distant calls her head bobbed up from the black water as it was burning more. She was coughing up black goo as she felt him pick her up out of the water.
She shivered and held on to him as she fought to regain herself. Once she stopped shaking she looked to her hands to see the silver feather with a gem on top of it and chuckled once at him, She moved placing the necklace around him watching his eyes flash purple as the new power surged with in him. "suits you." She muttered as she climbed out of his arms but still using him to steady herself before she went to pick up her clothes placing the back on she wrapped her arms around herself. "Let's get out..." Before she could finish her sentence the rocks from where the entered the cavern collapsed blocking their only way out. "here." she then cursed out loud. "For real? is everything a fucking test." she walked over kicking the rocks. She let out a huff as she turned and looked to him. She watched as he looked to his hands "Everything okay?" She asked mentally once again and walked over to him taking hold of his hands, an electric shook flowing between them causing her to bite her lip. "The stone, its a stone of the heavens." She said as she reached up touching the stone. It reacted to her touch shocking her, making her pull away licking her finger "Ow, it doesn't seem to like me." She muttered "The ichor in my system is making it think I am a demon" She said looking back to the pool of water that had cleared "Making everything think I am a demon."
"That's because you are part demon for now." Jack stood there in the corner of the room and looking to Dominic she could see he was seeing him as well "Raise me you bitch, I am tired of being in your head you little whore." He laughed "Only took you a week to sleep with the wolf, whats next? Vampire? or god forbid a human?" He teased her and laughed again "He is just going to get bored of you, you know this so why even try?" Jack moved closer "Why not just join the dark side with me? I mean I will care for you." He walked around Siobhan "Join the easy way, because if you wait until Lucifer comes after you, well things will get bad he is moving hell to get to you. To make you his fallen bride." He laughed louder. "To bad your spoke for angel. I liked our fun. Raise me and we can do it again before I hand you over." Jack reached out to touch her but it just passed through her. Siobhan closed her eyes tight as she tried to push the vision of him away.
Dominic felt the lump in his throat tighten as she revealed overhearing the conversation. Either Billie's powers were out of whack or she had Siobhan listen in on purpose. It was somewhat of a relief to hear that she didn't think what happened the previous night was a mistake and it was like a weight lifted from his shoulders. As she raised herself on her toes, he lowered his head to meet her kiss, wrapping his arm around her small frame to keep her close. His body relaxed more and reluctantly let Siobhan pull away after a few moments. He watched as she headed to the cave and gave a slight smirk at her comment of tempting him.
When she had disappeared into the cave, Dominic followed. The temperature had dropped immediately and they made their way deeper inside. As the flashlights bounced off the sides of the walls, he could see the rocks they were made of were wet along with the ones they were walking on. He wondered if the water they were hearing inside of the cave would rise at some point. Getting trapped down there was definitely an option he was going to try and avoid. As of now, there seemed to be only one way in and out which wasn't sitting right with him.
They came into a small clearing where the cave opened up. The water he'd been hearing was a small pool that sounded like it was moving, though he could see no point where the water was coming or going. Down at the bottom was a glittering object and he guessed it was what they were looking for. Siobhan didn't hesitate for a moment and began stripping down to get the necklace, but Dominic had his reserves. Before he had any time to refute the idea, she was in the water. He placed her clothes on the shoreline and watched. This wasn't going to be as easy as it seemed and Dominic was waiting for the catch. Pacing back and forth, he ran a hand through his dark hair and saw she had reached the necklace. 'Maybe this will go our way for once...', he thought, but then the water suddenly began to bubble. "Shit. Siobhan!" Dominic quickly jumped in the water and started to wade out towards where she was beginning to surface. He reached her just as she broke through and quickly pulled her into his arms, lifting her above the water, and racing for the shore.
"Are you okay?" He could see the slight burn marks from the water, but her focus was on the necklace alone. She placed it around his neck and he felt the weight of the small object for a moment before a powerful surge of energy went through his body. He shook his head out as the tingling sensation spread over him, making his fingertips go numb. Dom hadn't realized Siobhan was asking if he was okay. He didn't even notice their only way out of this place was now gone. There was a dull sound to everything around him as if he were under water. As she came over to him and reached for his hands, he saw her instantly pull away. Whatever it was that was hurting her, Dominic couldn't feel it. As she explained it was from the ichor poisoning her system, he knew in his being that she was right. It was like the necklace was telling him so.
A familiar voice suddenly filled the chamber and Dominic instinctively felt himself fill with rage. Jack had appeared before them and Dominic had to blink twice to make sure he was really even there. So this was what Siobhan was seeing. The necklace was giving him the ability to finally see what she had been. Jack began stalking around Siobhan and taunting her and it was more than what Dom could stand. Dominic stepped in front of her and swung towards the phantom. He didn't actually expect to make contact with the him, but the force of the punch knocked Jack backwards. Not only did it shock Dominic, but it took the demon by surprise as well. Jack's eyes opened wide as he rubbed his chin. His whole face screwed up into anger as he shook from the emotion. Dominic wasn't sure what he may do, but he stepped in front of Siobhan to take whatever retaliation was about to happen. A surge of energy was being pulled in by Jack and Dom waited for the blow, but the specter disappeared instead. Dominic let out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding and turned around towards Siobhan. "Well... that was new." He touched the necklace then and thanked whatever power it was that let him make contact against Jack.
His eyes scanned the cave as he tried to figure out a way to escape. There was still the mystery of the moving water he was hearing as the pool rippled like a river. He pulled his shirt over his head and waded back into the water. "I'm going to check the bottom." As he dived into the darkness of the water, Dominic could feel the pull of the current leading him towards the cave wall. It looked like a tunnel was large enough for them to fit through as he traced his hand over the rocks. The magic of this cave was somehow keeping this pool full with no source of water flowing to it. He didn't need to question it. All that mattered was getting out. Dominic surfaced once more and swam to the shore with a plan. Their backpacks would be a loss, but this was the only option he could think of. She would have to endure the pain of the water one more time as they made their way back in. He quickly dived and guided her to the opening, kicking the surrounding wall to break the opening. The rush of water was now pulling them down and he let the current pull him through. Whatever might happen, it would at least happen to him first.
They raced through the enclosed cave tunnel for what seemed like forever. There was a light that was becoming brighter as they moved with the current and he could see it was opening up into a drop. "Oh shit..." Nothing could be done. They would have to take the fall. "Hold your breath! It's a waterfall!" All he could hope was for a short drop. As the end came upon him, Dominic knew it wasn't. He wasn't sure if she would be able to release her wings, but it was worth the shot to at least slow her progress even with them being injured. "Open your wings!" he shouted, just as he went off the ledge. The fall was about seventy feet in the air and it felt like slow motion until he hit the water. The pain of the collision didn't come as hard as he thought it would and he knew it had to do with the necklace's power. Dominic pushed his way to the surface and breathed in a gulp of air, frantically looking around and calling for Siobhan.
