It was a dark night when Rosabelle got off work when she decided to meet the Alpha of Alphas. Rosabelle wasn’t used to meeting new people but since he was her alpha, she needed to meet him. While making her way over, Rosabelle made sure she looked presentable as she wanted to make sure she was presentable for her alpha. Once she got to Lachlan’s house, she knocked and waited as she kept her senses up due to her past. Dom had told her that she was safe in Evermore but Rosabelle was still nervous and scared that the men might come after her.

Rosabelle straightened her jacket and held her bag closed before she heard the door open. She was startled alittle as she looked at him. Her eyes examined him as he looked tired and overwhelmed. “H-Hi, umm I am Rosabelle Grey? I just wanted to meet you since you are the Alpha.” She said softly before she looked down at the ground in nervousness. “W-Would you like some help?” She asked as she glanced at him for a moment, “You look tired and look like you need help.” She said nervously as Rosabelle didn’t want to offend the Alpha.

The Ailuranthrope looked at her alpha to see if he would like her help, even thought she wanted to help her alpha to get some rest and not feel overwhelmed. “I-I’m sorry I didn’t mean to make it sound like that.” She said nervously as she looked down at the ground again as she kept standing there nervously. “I can leave if you want me to.” She said as she looked at him for a moment before looking back down.

✧ Lending a Helping Hand✧

As Lachlan carefully packed up the leftovers for Rosabelle, he felt a sense of satisfaction in knowing she would have a taste of their time together. He approached her with the to-go containers in hand, a soft smile gracing his face. “I’ll stop by and grab a few different meals for us to prepare together,” he said, his voice warm and inviting. “Just imagine impressing your firehouse mates with your cooking skills!” .

Leading her outside to her ride, he felt a flutter of excitement at the thought of their upcoming cooking sessions. “Text me if you need anything at all, any time,” he promised lightly, his gaze steady and reassuring. “I’ll come running.” The sincerity in his words was palpable as he added, “I’ll see you tomorrow,” feeling a rush of anticipation for their next meeting. .

As Rosabelle drove away, Lachlan waved goodbye, a smile lingering on his lips. Teaching her how to cook was becoming one of his lesser-known passions, a skill he cherished and was eager to pass on—just as his mother had done for him before life took unexpected turns. .

Later that evening, after a long day of staring at screens and tracking yet another thread of cyber attackers attempting to breach Sariah's systems, his mind was heavy with the weight of the outside threats looming over their research. The stakes were high, and he couldn’t shake the concern that dark forces were trying to exploit the knowledge Sariah had worked tirelessly to create for humanity’s defense against supernatural beings.
Despite the weight of those thoughts, he made his way to the grocery store, mentally compiling a shopping list of ingredients he would need for tomorrow’s cooking adventure with Rosabelle. Once home, he quickly put away the groceries and took a refreshing shower, hoping to center his busy mind..

Dressed in comfortable sweats and a plain shirt, he awaited her arrival, his thoughts drifting to their planned meal. Mac and cheese was a solid starting point, but he pondered what should come next. The tantalizing flavors of the food he had bought danced through his mind, causing his stomach to growl in anticipation. He couldn't help but smile at the thought of sharing this experience with her, knowing that each dish they created together would be a step toward building new memories and a deeper connection.

Rosabelle helped get the leftovers and smiled as she managed to get it together before her ride showed up. She thanked him and smiled. "Yea I cant wait to learn more about cooking." She said as she was happy to make meals for the firehouse if needed. When he mentioned texting her, Rosabelle looked at him and nodded as she gently took his number down as she needed to get her a updated one since hers was a old flip phone since she got to Evermore.

"See you tomorrow!" She said excitedly as she headed home and thought about things. Once she got to her apartment, Rosabelle slipped the leftovers into her fridge and soon started to make a list of what she would want to make. The therian didnt make a long one but she thought about ideas for not only the pack but the firehouse as well. Once her list was done, Rosabelle went to get ready for the night as she was physically and mentally tired.
