Her hazel hues pierced the piece of paper she held in her hands as she leaned against the seat deeper, trying to make sense of what was going on. It has only been a while since she had returned to Evermore, the famed supernatural haven, to grant herself an audience with their King. She missed him dearly and it was only then could she spare some time from her 'hectic schedule'. Her duties placed her to be so far off from her own faction, her family. While it could be quite annoying for her at times, since she had to put a smart distance in between the intervals of time, she took it seriously. It was given by Gideon and she intends to make good on her promise to protect him and their faction. If that meant traveling the world every month in return for valuable information that puts her side on the winning one, so be it.

Cecilia is far from being an insecure person. No. That just wasn't her. She's confident and narcissistic at times, which adds more to her lack of inhibition. It was slightly a part of her charms. There hasn't been a person she has not charmed with the exception of Gideon and their fellow Bastions. Even then, whilst it wasn't a romantic compilation, she sure does get her way with them. As per say coming from the ancient vampire king, it's hard to find someone who could deny the Italian Bastion. She made sure to make good use of that. Her brows were scrunched up in both annoyance and confusion clear across her features. Neither was her orbs averted from the letter that she had seemingly received later this evening.

"Why can't they ever get things done.." She mumbled to herself in distress as she crumpled the harmless little thing and threw it aside. Taking out her phone from her pocket, she typed a brief message to someone, no doubt her brokers. The seductress didn't like to go on field work as much as she used to, but that doesn't mean she was entirely lacking on that department. She will get her hands dirty if needed, though she did not prefer it if there was any other viable options to choose from. It was probably the tedious bore that caught up to her, seeing as she's been doing this for millenniums. Celia stayed over in Evermore a lot longer than she thought she would, but it was mainly because she wanted to keep Gideon company and tend to the tension that built up between him and Delilah. And she missed being in the presence of new people. So she was trying her best to let her people do the work instead of herself directly. She didn't want to leave the eternal city any time soon, despite being a known nomad.

They just got their King back and she needed to be sure he was fine. But by the way things were going on, the waters were not calming enough for the enchantress. "When you need to get something done, you have to do it yourself." She tells herself as she got up from her seat and grabbed the leather jacket that lied next to the arm of the chair before making her way out of the mansion. She had her shades on as she got inside her red Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, revved up the engine when her heels stepped on the gas pedal. The car sped off the compound and she arrived at the town square not long after. It was only by luck that it was night time when she needed to get out. Parking her car at the side of the road, she went inside the cafe where she was sure her broker was already waiting. She wasn't a fan of tardiness but she could care less if it was her, making her to be quite the hypocritical one, humorously. She took a seat behind the male, facing an empty spot in front of her as she had her back on him. It was discreet enough and for someone who's mastered the arts of manipulation, she sure was being very casual about it. Until she caught a very familiar someone walking in the cafe from the entrance door.

It was time to make amends, to stay and stick around awhile to do so. Having arrived into down a few days past, first thing he did was to track down and find Ophelia. Coming clean of who and what he was. To make amends, accepting his responsibilities that comes with it. For Atticus to become her protector, her guardian. It didn’t mean that he would have to watch and follow her 24 7 but just that he need to be within distance if something was to happen or if he was needed. Atticus expressed his darkest thoughts and worries. Being reassured that history wouldn’t repeat itself. There’s more celestials around more protection. Atticus couldn’t hope to worry but knew he had to stop thinking about it. Atticus tried to get filled in as much as he could so far about this city, able to see that there was much more to meet than to the human eye. Learning which species lived where. With some details about each one so he wasn’t left in the dark. One name that came up was one that he heard of before, but unable to piece it together. Gideon Ashworth, remembering it being mentioned by someone a long while ago. Atticus just couldn’t remember when or when. It was playing on his mind. Wanting to try to remember.

Atticus searched inside the motel room in search of food. Seeing the mini fridge and the cupboards bare, nothing substantial to eat or drink. Just a couple bottles of beer and crisps. Not really wanting to have that as his only meal today. He still was choosing to stay in a cheap motel within the city not wanting to go and rush into moving within the celestial territory. Wanting to earn their trust beforehand. So living in motel rooms will just have to do for the time being, he’d been in a lot worse over the years. When life was a lot different to how it is now, simpler to say so. Deciding to head out to find a place to eat and then stop by the supermarket along the way back. Since there was no shortage of places to eat or drink in city these days, especially here. Just depends on what he wanted to eat. Grabbing his leather jacket on the way out to go over his plaid shirt that he had open over a basic grey shirt. Having more of a biker style of dressing, in looks he was middle aged. Not being able to fit in to tight skinny jeans and shirts like everyone young dresses these days. It weren't his style either. So he stuck looking casual.

Heading out of his motel room he went in search of a place to eat choosing to find a cafe of some sort rather than a fast food chain like McDonalds or Five Guys, or whatever other places were called these days. He looked seeing a cafe shop just up ahead, heading straight into the cafe. As he walked inside he was almost felt like a wave of power inside. Able to sense the presence of another powerful supernatural inside of the cafe. Scanning around, Atticus looked to see who or what it could be. Before his eyes landed on a face he hadn’t seen in a long time. One of the last people he’d imaged or thought seeing here in Evermore, but here she was. A woman from his past, one he hadn’t thought about in a long time. “Cecilia?” He marvelled, raising his brows giving a questionable look. Hoping that he was right that it was her, knowing it was the Italian born vampire. It was looking he may be right seeing as she was just as shocked as he walked in.

While Cecilia was busy clicking her tongue in annoyance on her broker's incompetency, her hazel hues almost shot itself out from its sockets when she finally got a good look on whoever it was by that entered the cafe she was in. Make no mistake, the vampiress would never forget a face. Ever. It's always embedded in her head despite meeting so many new faces throughout the millenniums. But she was more than sure why she could not forget that particular face. It was him. It truly was him. Never in a million years would she thought she would be able to grace his presence again after 900 years. She never thought he would be in the same city she was in, because she was sure by the details she was provided with, there was no mention of an Atticus Thornbrook anywhere. She could never have missed that big of an information lying around.

It was either her broker wasn't doing much of a good job he was supposed to, or that he had just entered the supernatural haven called city recently. She'd take the latter. The moment she heard him saying her name, she slightly gaped at the sight before her. It was as if nothing had mattered there. Like there were just the two of them present. It was then that she actually forgot she came there for a purpose and that was to converse with one of her brokers but it seems like that could use a heavy rain-check. "I'll see you later. I'll be sure to give you a call. For now, stay low." She exclaimed dismissively, which would have been nearly inaudible had it not been to her broker's vampire hearing senses. "Atticus..What are you doing here?" When she redirected that question to the Celestial, she wasn't being particularly specific but she was sure he would understood it as a question to why he was in the same city. The Italian Bastion knew he was immortal and had lived on since 900 years ago, though she might not have specifically obtained that piece of information herself after centuries ago.

Unlike the tone she previously used on her underlings, this one was filled with contempt and uncertainty. Would she blame herself for feeling that way? No. She truly did not think she would hear from him again, much less see him with her own eyes after so long. After she heard the news about Aurelia, she thought he would've been better off without her in his life, seeing as she wasn't exactly the best companion nor partner when it comes to that matter. The silver tongued woman never knew what he was though, which puts her entirely on a disadvantage.

Atticus was too one not to forget a face, like many people who been around a long time. Being used to remembering faces and this one was one he could never forget. Very sure that she was like the same, remembering him. Watching as she soon dismissed however she was talking to so that they can be left alone. Almost like the old days where he’d find her in the middle of meeting someone then she’d soon dismiss them. A smile soon appeared on his face as he watched the man walk away leaving them alone, turning his attention back the the Italian Brunette in front of him. Choosing to take the spare seat opposite her so they could talk. “For a bite to eat, I hear this place does good burgers” He missed with a chuckle knowing that it wasn’t the answer she was looking for but still was an answer. Of all places he was here in Evermore, as she was too. Two paths meeting once more. After all these years. “I would think that this city wouldn’t be your type of place, or maybe it is?” He wondered remembering bit back to how Cecelia always told him she didn’t like to be stuck in one place for too long.

Remembering to how he woke up one morning, she and all her things were gone. Like she was never there. Now here she was. “You still look good Cecilia” He smirked teasing her like how he always used to. Like old times, looking to her to see if she wanted to remerece. Or if she’ll just clock him off. Choosing to pick up a menu looking down to see what was on the menu, to see what he wanted to get. Knowing too well that he was trying to delay telling Cecilia what or who he was. As that was one thing they never spoke of back all those years ago. Atticus only told her that he was immortal but now she was dying to find out. Since Cecilia was one to know everything about everything but not all about him. “So what do you recommended?” Raising a brother as he continued to pretend that they hadn’t been apart for over 900, like nothing really happened.

It was almost she was in her own little world because the voices that was aside from his were deafened in her ears. Shaking her head slightly to briefly get a hold of her own self, she shrugged casually as she crossed her legs underneath the table, leaning against the soft cushion of the chair before letting her gaze fell on him. She wasn't used to not getting what she wants, believe it or not, so when he successfully evaded her first question, the Italian Bastion clicked her tongue once again in annoyance. Tilting her head slightly to the side, she narrowed her hazel hues on the male who then took a seat before her.

"No, you're right on that. I don't like small cities. It has never been my place but, I'm here on important matters. My- superior resides here so there's not really much for me to go on raving about why I'm here in Evermore. So that's done, why are you here, 'sir'." Her question didn't even pass off as a question, but rather a statement. She wanted to know why he was there. The vampire was sure it wasn't pure coincidence to see him here, and whilst she did not have any knowledge on what he truly was, which she might after she return home, there was never such thing as 'coincidences' occurring in the eternal city. "I don't know what to recommend, love. You know eating something or more like someone that is not of my diet, is not really something I pay my utmost concern over." The silver tongued woman knew that Atticus knew exactly what he was doing. That is what annoys her the hell on.

"Why are you really here, Atticus." Once again, the vampiress asked him. It almost felt foreign to her tongue, his name. It has been so long since she actually had the chance to reminisce saying them. 900 years might not seem that much to the Italian but she was sure, it was still a while. "I always look good." Okay, she couldn't resist retorting that back, knowing her. Especially to an old acquaintance such as him. Well, they did have quite the history together, after all. Being the shameless person she was, she was not thoroughly bothered by it. "I haven't heard from you for over 900 years, how did life treat you? I'm guessing-not so well." There she was at it again, being snappy while being sarcastic.

It seemed like people or more like woman of his past keep popping up at once here in this city. First bumping into his old flame Aurelia at the art gallery soon after he arrived in the city. Now it was the same with Cecilia. Whilst Atticus knew that Cecilia wouldn’t admit that during their time together there was a connection between them. The Celestial knew how she ticked, the way to work around her dismissals. Changing the subject around. Toying with her. Taking a seat opposite her so the two were able to talk and whilst he was at it grabbing a bite to eat since that's what he came from. At the mention of her surprise made him raise his brows trying to fill in dots. Remembering to what Ophelia filled him in so he could know more about the city. “You mean Gideon Ashworth right?” He queried looking to her. It was no secret of course that he knew what Cecilia was, having found it out many years ago that she was a vampire. Explaining why she’s not aged a day, yet somehow the conversation never came around to him telling her what he was. Back then Celestials were a small species only a few settlements around the world. Once were stars up in the sky but now were fallen ones.

A confused expression appeared on his face followed by a smirk “Sir?... Come on Cecilia I think we’re far off then formal aquanites” He marvelled correcting her before continuing. “Or have you forgotten” He added, teasing the brunette. Trying to distract her from him telling her why he was here knowing that it's annoying her not knowing.  “Might have the burger then, along with some coffee” He answered looking through the menu before calling a waitress over ordering himself a burger then two coffees for the two of them. Seeing as she didn’t want anything. Here she is trying to get to the point to find out why he was here. “That's true, even back then you were the most beautiful lady around” He remarked stating the truth, back then he was always fighting off the desperate men who was trying to win her attention. Deciding now to tell her the truth, what she’d been wanting to know. “Been dead for the most part of it, dying sucks but I guess you already know that part” He remarked too sounding sarcastic to match, shrugging his shoulders. Spending the better part of nearly 800 years dead until being brought to life.

Just as the Celestial would think, the Italian Bastion will never admit that she felt the connection they had in the past. It was a history for the both of them, a history she would rather forget because it wasn't pleasant for her to remember the slightest. Of course, their time together was inexplicably worth every second, but to her, having attachments were such a flaw. Maybe it was strength to others, but the only strength Cecilia would be willing to extract was loyalty. The loyalty she has reserved for Gideon Ashworth and the Vampire faction he rules over. Period.

She hated that she cared for him. The journey to Russia wasn't supposed to mean anything, it wasn't supposed to allow her to meet someone like him. She only went there 900 years ago because she had to sought Pietro out. What was at first a one night stand and fling became something more. None of them saw this, for sure. "Yes, I mean Gideon Ashworth." This caused her to be skeptical but then again, she guessed it was due to his status and reputation that precedes him over the eternal city. She shouldn't be surprised someone knew him. "I would rather try to remind myself of both personal and professional life existing in both scales. This-" The vampires pointed at the two of them, emphasising it in the air. "Is nothing personal." Huffing out of delight wasn't something Cecilia Laterza would do.

Fortunately for her, blushing wasn't also a normal occurrence when it comes to her so she just gave him a rather unimpressed look that stated she was not buying it. His compliment was a real one but she knew not to beat around the bushes. She hated to delay inevitable things. "Yes, Atticus. I remember. I'm not supposed to age a day and I've always look good so what's your point." Cecilia was sure that by now, the Celestial could sense the impending aggravation building up within her. That was until he told her that he has been dead most of the time. Quirking her eyebrows up on confusion, she wondered what happened.

"You've been dead for the whole part? Now who did you piss off and got yourself killed." It was a rather blunt question but everything was almost blunt with her. She's quite playful most of the times when she wanted to be but when it comes to business, she was as serious as the steel. "Dying sucks enough. But living too long has been boring just the same. The only reason why I'm still standing around is because of Gideon."

History was something that people knew too well when they reached over a certain age. Living from times that people could never remember when everyone was different. Meeting different people. There’s been a few times in his life where Atticus had felt a strong connection with someone. Love and a sexual connection. With Aurelia they started off as friends, taking it slowly before admitting their love for each other. Whereas with Cecelia it was all different. A one night stand turned into a fling that was turning into something more.  Yet Atticus knew that she wouldn’t want to admit anything. She never does that's the way she is, always has been. He was sure that she was still the same after all these years. Atticus knew that it was the reason why she left. Running away before it became something more.

He was always good at names, remembering faces too. Yet Gideon was someone he never met but remembered Cecilia mentioning him a few times. He nodded his head to her, that he was right. Ophelia had filled him in on all the structure when it came to the ambassadors. So Atticus knew that Gideon was the vampire ambassador, so it explains to why Cecilia was here. It was no secret that she was a vampire yet it never came around in conversation to what he was. Atticus was very good at evading the truth, changing the subject or conversation around. That’s what he’s doing now. Hearing as Cecilia was trying pretend that there no history, nothing between them made him chuckle. Finding it amusing to say the least. “You and I both know we are far from ‘aquanitices’. Just admit it Cecilia” He marvelled with a smirk on his face taking a sip of his coffee. Mocking how she kept her pinky pointed out. Just like upper class does. Atticus knew that she would quickly shoot him down, like always but putting it would there was so that she knew she couldn’t escape the facts forever.

“Just thinking of the past” He shrugged, looking to her. After telling her that he had been dead for many years, he could see the confusion on her face. “Nearly 800 years give or take” He started to say. “I didn’t piss anyone off this time actually, I was trying to help out. Doing a good deed but you see where that took me” When you’ve been around for many years your bound to get a few enemies along the way. She knew it well too. “At least it too means that we were able to meet again” It seemed like a twist of fate stumbling along both of his ex’s, who were right here in Evermore. Still shocked by the news he was told by Aurelia, that he had a daughter he never knew about. Missing all those years.

Rolling her eyes at the Celestial, she shook her head as she sipped on her cup of coffee. Until she saw that he was mocking her when he had his pinky out. Obviously that act had annoyed her profusely as she gripped the handle of the cup a little bit too hard that the glass broke. Closing her eyes briefly, she lets out a frustrated sigh and grabbed a napkin before pushing it aside. "That's gonna leave a stain." She mumbled and saw the coffee that was spilled to her top and the fresh blood from the cut she had. "Yes, you and I are far from acquaintances, we both know that. But you know what else is far? Right, 900 years. The seclusion we had together was over nine centuries ago, mi amor."

It was true, what they had was even more for the Italian Bastion. Cecilia has lived for a very long time, and all these while, she never allowed any form of attachment get to her. It was for the same reason why she's always been so well at her job. "I find it hard to believe you didn't piss anyone off at all, Atticus. You have a knack on pissing people off. It's your natural talent." The amount of snark accentuating her voice had made it perfectly clear that she was not in the vicinity of playing nice. The brunette noticed the faint glow under his skin which was why she felt so attracted to him in the first place centuries ago. Staring at the light glow, she squinted her eyes slightly at him, placing the scrutinizing gaze over the star.

"How long are you staying here? Surely you're not making any permanent residency here? You've always been a nomad if I wasn't mistaken. You said so yourself the last time." Questions regarding his species still leaves an impact and space somewhere in her, one she'll probably get down to knowing very soon. But she also didn't want any implication to be in the same city she was in. Preferably because she didn't want anyone else to think she had this side and that, which she honestly didn't. Cecilia isn't cruel, no. But there was nothing saying she couldn't be. Her job entailed her to be able to do everything in order to secure the probability of any piece of information. If she needed to kill, so be it. It wasn't as if she was a part of Evermore's community to begin with. The only reason that enabled her current stay was because she wanted to see Gideon, a long time friend, again. It was only a matter of time before she went off venturing elsewhere.

Glancing at the time on her phone, she grumbled in response. "Tati's being quite late." Little did she know, that name would prove to be something far more to Atticus. Truthfully, despite being a very known nomad, the Italian vampiress wished to stay for a while in Evermore. Maybe even work somewhere in the hospital, where she can get decent supply of blood for her daily diet, since it was in no way permissible for them to drop dead bodies nor feed so recklessly.

It seems she weren’t too pleased when he mocked her pinky. Seeing as most posh people always point out their pinkies out, like how Cecilia always has done. Atticus was always the one to annoy her easily or anyone matter of fact, yet he always was the one to defuse the tension. He wasn’t surprised watching as Cecilia gripped the cup too tight breaking it into pieces ‘Always the one who forgot your own strength aren’t you” He chuckled shaking his head softly, watching the brunette. Noticing how she’s not changed much over the years. Taking a sip of his coffee he choked almost  “Wow you know how to shoot a man when he’s down, don’t you?” He marvelled commenting. All the time they had spent together in the past they never were official. Starting off as a one night stand that turned into more of a year till Cecilia left.

When you’ve been alive for many years your bound to make some enemies along the way. More so now considering what he was and the memories his species has here in the city. “But now you're used to me and choose to ignore me” He teased smirking to her, same goes with Aurelia. Life would be boring if everything was always serious all the time. Atticus had noticed how she was focussing her attention on trying to see, find out what he was. Noticing how she was focussed,  seeing the glow of his skin. It was only faint but was bright for those who locked their focus onto it. Like how Aurelia was able to figure it ould when the the two were reunited not too long ago.

Atticus weren’t so sure ho long he would be here in the city yet he knew that he’d be here as long as Ophelia and the other celestials are. Being Guardian of the Wayfinder meant that he goes wherever she goes. Her protector. Yet now he had other reasons to stay. A daughter to think of. Never thinking before that he would. “I’m going to be here for a while, making a change” He replied telling her. “What about you? If I remember too you’ve always been a nomad” He mused wondering, it’s how they first met. Almost what drawn them to one another. It was how he knew why she left all those years ago. What Atticus did know was that Gideon Ashworth was the vampire ambassador maybe it would mean that she’ll have a reason to stay around for longer.  Back in those days 900 years ago Celestials weren’t as known or vast in numbers as they are now as he was once a fallen star.

The celestial almost froze hearing Cecilia mentioning his daughters name. Surprised to say the least. “Tatiana” He marvelled sounding shocked almost. “How do you know Tatiana?” He almost questioned her, curious to know how exactly the two knew each other. Atticus didn’t know exactly what to say or how to. He couldn’t exactly tell his ex that he’s now a father. “There’s something I need to tell you, something I’d been hiding from you” He started to say getting ready to tell her the truth. “After you left I went and travelled a bit selling my paints I met someone. We were friends for around a year until we spent a few nights together. After I went to go and paint a church for work ending up dying then years later being brought back to life” He admitted to her before continuing. “A few weeks back I met Aurelia again here in the city and found out that I’m a father… Tatiana is my daughter” He revealed the secrets he’d been keeping from her curious to see how she’d react. If she was surprised or already knew.

Seeing how he had reminded her of her own strength that she would admit, she had forgotten over time occasionally, the Italian woman rolled her eyes at the younger male before her. She can't believe this conversation was still standing, because knowing Cecilia, she probably would've shot it down long ago. "It happens. Sometimes you forget how strong you are. It gets tedious after all these centuries roaming around." She noted, slightly expressing how she knew wandering around the world for six millenniums had taken up the notch to her. Thankfully, it wasn't a sanity problem. The vampire had a way of enjoying and savoring all those spare centuries for a reason. She had to make them enjoyable by the very least.

However, his statement caught her grinning sheepishly as she shrugged casually. "It's my specialty no? Shooting a man when he's down? I'm very experienced in that area of expertise. Almost an expert, if not one already." It was already made known that Cecilia wasn't an easy woman to get around with. That much has been made clear so long ago. Hence, why she never had long term relationships with anyone. But with the Celestial, what was once nothing more than a one night stand turned into somewhat a year along the way. The dark haired Bastion wondered if their relationship would have stood for more than a year had she not left in the first place. Maybe. But there's no point in realistically thinking about it. She wasn't looking to rekindle anything back again. Right?

"The only reason why you're still standing and alive, eating your food and talking to me, is because I allow you to, love. Slightly permissible. If I didn't think I should let you continue your words, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have a tongue anymore at this rate. So no, darling, you actually still do have a knack of pissing people off so naturally. It just radiates from you." Her words were blunt enough, much like the dagger she kept with her at all times. It was useful, per say. Especially when you can never be too careful. But following what Atticus was thinking, the silver tongued vampiress is slowly getting a hold of the information that stated his species. The one that identified him as a Celestial. Cecilia was anything if not focused. Her attentive stare had locked her hazel hues on the male where she slowly saw the faint glow under his skin that gradually became a tad more brighter as she focused more on it.

She's heard of the Celestials, in her travels, up until nearly a century ago. How could she have been slacking and stupid not to notice the faint lines right in front of her, despite spending a little over a year with him? She also received brief information regarding their alliance with the star faction. "For the love of- you're one of them, aren't you? That fallen star faction that recently settled in the west part of the city? A Celestial?" Describing her expression to be that of a shocked and surprised one marred underneath the awe, she was a bit taken aback by the sudden revelation. She probably did not pay as much attention she thought she did during their time. "No wonder you're a smite for trouble." She remarked dryly. Yes, that was the thing she said first despite wanting to say a lot more. The snark just came out naturally as usual. But she had to once again say, she stopped her movements and halted for good few seconds when she heard about Tatiana before letting him continue to reveal more secrets to her. Her plastered gaze soon transitioned into that one of scrutinizing. If looks could kill, Atticus wouldn't survive past his meal. Tatiana was his daughter? Her long time friend from over six centuries ago was his daughter? Now that was one revelation she did not see coming.

"Well let it all out, why won't you?" she mumbled, the sarcasm dripping heavily in her tone that accentuated it thickly. She was slightly hurt, but knew it wasn't anything personal against her because they literally had just met a little over 30 to 40 minutes ago in a casual diner. "Yes, I know her. I was actually waiting for her. We had plans together. And no, I did not know she was your daughter. We stumbled across each other in the late 13th century or so and became friends ever since. I have to say, I shouldn't be surprised to see her inheriting the trouble making gene from you. It's almost too natural to see it not manifesting over the centuries." This revelation causes a stump in the tree because even then, she wasn't sure how to respond to it. Technically she did, but she was still debating in the dilemma of it. She only replied for the sake of it. Slightly pursing her lips, she huffed briefly and hummed. "I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I didn't expect you to wait anyways. But at least you're alive now, aren't you? I thought this would've possibly be a one time meeting but it seems not, considering you're in a faction my King has proposed an alliance to. Seems we'll be seeing more of each other a lot more." It was also more ironic to see the two of them being each faction's second in command after their ambassador. Cecilia had a clear significance tie to Gideon as one of his Bastions, and seemingly was the only one sticking around with him in Evermore now. There wasn't a thing the ancient King did not know from her and the same way goes around. She was only doing everything for the sake of him.

In the time they had spent together all those years ago he’d watch as Cecilia broke things so easily. Forgetting her own strength. It was mostly beds that they had went through along with a few dents in the wall her and then. “If I remember correctly you get me a few broken bones by ‘accident’” He recalled smirking to the brunette, taunting her. Atticus new that before they had met Cecilia had been around for many centuries, yet she was one of the ones who never got bored of living forever. For him Atticus had been finding being immortal can be quite boring and repetitive. Yet he had skipped out on many years as he was dead during that part but now he was alive again.

Atticus grinned as well matching Cecilia’s, already managing to break her out of her seriousness even if it just for a moment. “You wound me Cecilia” He mused pretending to feel hurt, putting his hand over his heart. It was kind of ironic as it was over his stab wound scar from when he stabbed and killed all those years ago. Sometimes it still give him some jiff here and there, not knowing why. Atticus knew too well that one of Cecilia’s biggest downfalls was that she one to ignore her feelings. Putting up a cold front pushing all what she feels away like it’s never there. No feelings, no connections, no feelings, nothing. Looking at it now it was the reason why she had left where things were starting to get more serious to when it started all out. Atticus was sure that she had moved on, it's been nearly 900 years. Like how Aurelia has.

The diner was starting to get filled off more people. For the lunch time rush where everyone goes out to eat for the same hour. Soon his food had arrived, the celestial started to eat his food before it gets cold. One thing he liked about this century was the food. How much it’s changed, so much choice all you would want. Yet he was the only one of the two eating. Atticus found it amusing, listening to Cecilia’s comments. He knew when it was time to be joking or one to make sly comments quite often. Then knew when it was to be serious, profielen. When to listen. “More so getting into trouble accidently than the other actually” He pointed out,  ignoring her blunt tone that he was used to. Nothing much changes so it seem. Somehow it never really came up all those years ago to what it was, yet he know that Cecilia was a vampire. Back then Celestials were more rare than they are now. All are fallen stars there's only so many that fall.

One of the main big details how people are able to see and figure out what Celestials are exactly. To figure them out is noticing the little things. Similar to how Nephilims have a purple tint in their eyes. The glow of his skin enough for people to see but yet not enough to be seen by the human eye. Atticus was watching as the italian tongue vampire was trying to figure out what he was. Seeing how she was scanning him, observing to see. It seemed she was now putting together the pieces realizing what's been right in front of her all this time. “I am. I know i should of told you right from when I found out about you but I guess I was just worried. When we had first met it was right away from when my people were killed, I wasn’t there” He explained, sharing some secrets of his past. Ones he tried to forget but always felt that there was a target on his back. Constant reminder. “See it’s not my fault why I’m always getting into trouble, I can help it” He laughed shaking his head, seeing that it all makes more sense to her now.

Atticus knew that when she had mentioned of Tatiana he could sit there and not tell her the truth. Knowing that she wouldn’t know of his relationship to Tatiana. Back then it was the last thing he’d thought of happening but it has. “I know I should of told you it all in a different way, better way. But I thought that you should know” Atticus could see that she was hurt almost hearing him tell her the one of her old friends, dad was one of her old flames. “It's a Thornbrook flaw” One that he was sure would be passed down. It was a few years after Cecilia left when he had found Aurelia, like she says she didn’t expect him to wait around forever. “I got a lot of making up to do” In all areas personal and his duty side of things. Atticus was almost most relieved and happy that Cecilia was telling him she was sticking around for a while long. He new at least she wouldn’t be running off just yet at least. “I’d be looking forward to that” He marveled smirking and sending a wink her way, seeing too if she’d just ignore him or.As Ophelia’s guardian he was learning and starting to be her right hand man. Catching up on everything so he knew so he was able to advise her best as he could like all those before him. Like how he was with Emilia.

Honestly, if it was anyone else, Cecilia was sure she would’ve left or if she was feeling up to something fun, she’d break any bone in them before walking away, just for the fun in it. But no, it was someone from her past, and though she’s had plenty of her share on ‘people from the past’ section, Atticus however, held a significance in her life. At some point, even though she would never ever admit it, she truly did care for him and might even drag the word of mutual attraction a little bit higher on the bar itself. Supposedly, she wasn’t even supposed to form any attachments to the guy, but she did. And she is not sure what she was going to do with that. It’s rare to see her debating with her own inner self in what to do, as it seems that the Italian Bastion almost always had a way to go about everything. She’s a rather spontaneous planner, who had her own manner of precision in the arts of it.

Narrowing her hazel hues onto the 900-year-old Celestial, she huffed lightly and leaned against her seat while crossed her arms. Training her gaze on the male, she had placed a scrutinizing glare to him, making sure he was aware that he’s made the infamous silver tongued vampiress speechless. Which was evidently, truly rare. “I would be more than glad to break some of those bones right now, right here, Mr Thornbrook.” The tone accentuating her words were that of malice mixed with her abrasiveness. Though, the two of them knew each other well enough to know what the other actually meant. Of course, Celia was actually not one to shy away from going down to breaking any bones. “There’s about 206 bones in a human body, considering you do inhabit a human vessel, I’d say the term applies to you too as well as it does to me. But unlike you, if I break a bone, I’ll shrug it off and let it grow back. But you, there’s plenty of bones to be breaking around. Careful what you imply, mister.”

Rolling her eyes at the male, she scoffed before pointing at him and made a few air quotations. “I wound a lot of people, darling. You’re nothing special in that.” The snark between the two was nothing foreign no more. It seems, by this point, they were trying to lay off the other one. Mostly, Celia trying to push Atticus away. She disliked the idea of attachments, because in her line of work, it’s hard to focus on it. It’s not just that too. Given enough motivation and dedication, she’d be able to focus, but her line of job really placed a fine line he cannot cross. The vampire liked her job, because it concerned her gaining information for her King. If anyone knew, if her enemies knew of him, it was bad enough to risk a Celestial’s life already, much less this.

“For a fallen star, you sure do emit the whole ‘fallen’ part.” There it was again. The snark. To Celia, it was one of her charming qualities. She had a silver tongue for a reason, why not make the best use of it? Sharp one. To be honest, Celia was a little bit perplexed to find him still alive. Now she knew he was a Celestial, everything made sense. There was a reason for his faint glow that sometimes glowed brighter every time Celia glanced over to him, just as she was doing right now. She’s somewhat skeptical, but would you blame her? It’s not everyday someone from your past that was 900 years ago, come knocking on your doorstep. However, it seems like fate had something in store for her, seeing as she bumped into him today. But eventually, she was going to see him since Evermore isn’t exactly that big of a city. She’d meet eventually. It was only a matter of time.

“I read on you people. Gideon made an alliance with the Celestial wayfinder of yours, Ophelia Dreyvalian, is it? Fallen stars are trouble magnets? Sounds very ironic and weird. But weird things happen. This shouldn’t be surprising to any of us, at this point.” She’d say though, finding out Tatiana was his daughter was the highlight of her day, today. Because it was truly unexpected. The Italian had been friends with the dhampir guard for centuries long, how had she not know? Then again, Atticus was someone from her past that was even before Tatiana was born. Perhaps, that was why. “You’re right, you have a lot of things to make up to. Like, a lot.” She made sure to highlight the last two words of her sentence just for the sake of it. The moment she received the wink he sent her way, she tried her very best to refrain from rolling her eyes. Again. It seemed to be her to-go-emotion now. Especially with him. “So I do really wonder how you’re going to make up to your daughter though. She’s eh, you know.” There was no precise word she’d put on the dhampir. But boy, was she curious to see the game going down to them.
