Beep. Beep. Beep.
The annoying sound of the alarm clock placed on her bedside table has been ringing for the past 5 minutes and the girl in question is still surprisingly not awake yet. With one hand holding another pillow that was currently covering her face and the soft snores emitting from her, it was clear that she was not looking forward to waking up at all. A few minutes later, another sound came crashing again, this time from her phone and she was confident it wasn’t coming from her alarm app. Luna grumbled to herself and flailed her hand around, trying to search for the tiny thing as she removed the pillow away from her face. She squinted her eyes and tried to read the message written on the screen. That was moments before the phone slipped out of her hold and fell on her face. “Good fucking morning to you too” she hissed and swiped the green button to take the call that’s been bothering her for the past minute. “You better be up, Luna… it’s 11 30 am and you’re supposed to be at the university in 10 minutes.”
Right. University. That statement alone was more than enough to get her up as she rubbed her eyes to check the time displayed on the screen, cursing silently to herself as she pushed the covers off her roughly, making a quick dash to the bathroom. As if things weren’t bad enough, she slipped and bumped her hip against the sink, causing the kitsune to yelp in pain, rubbing the sore spot as she tried to stand up properly to brush her teeth and wash her face. A series of unfortunate events kept occurring every 5 minutes for Luna. As she struggled to make herself presentable for the past couple of minutes, she had slipped over the carpet, hit her shin against the table, and brushed her hair too harshly. “This is why you shouldn’t pull an all nighter for no goddamn reason, Lunafaye” she cursed and dragged her bag with her.
Her platinum blond hair looked freshly dyed in gray a few days ago, it was not too messy because she managed to comb it decently but with the kind of hurry she’s in, she may as well go for the messy hairdo. Her bad day started well, and only got worse as she tried to make her way to the university, thankfully she didn’t have to commute because the place she was currently staying temporarily at was a few kilometers away from the said institution. It didn’t mean she didn’t come across obstacles in her path though. By the time the hour struck 12, she was still struggling to cross the road due to the bustling streets. The kitsune ended up taking a turnover and took the other road, which costs her an extra 10 minutes.
With her eyes glued on her phone, typing a message saying how sorry she was for oversleeping, she had bumped against someone. Hard. How hard was it? She toppled over and Luna was pretty sure the bicycle and the person riding felt the momentum. Unfortunately, she didn’t have time to lose, so she retrieved her phone that was tossed to the side when she collided with the bicycle rider and apologized, saying she needs to be on her way. Her scraped knee was the least of her problems right now, especially when she’s like 40 minutes late already. The university wasn’t easy to navigate either, she was only able to get to the administration office because she asked around 4 times. By the time Luna arrived, she looked as if she just came out of a marathon, with her jeans slightly showing her scraped knee and her tired appearance. “I’m sorry I’m late…” she mumbled softly.

She raised her brow when Luna pointed out she wasn’t even sure how to define herself and that was why she didn’t like it when others tried to do the same “No one likes to be put into a box, we don’t even like doing that to ourselves” because that meant putting walls around yourself and not reaching outside of them, it limited someone to some label or stereotype. She laughed “Anyone can be freaky when they wanna be” she responded and shrugged “It’s all about the situation and the company they keep” she grinned slightly, she might seem innocent but she wasn’t exactly that.
Luna had a good figure, she was slender but she had good curves and she was sure if the other girl knew how to accentuate it then she could pull off tight fitting clothing well “Well that’s the fun of experimenting, go on a shopping trip and try a bunch of things on, figure out what works and what doesn’t” she enjoyed it “You only have to do it once and then you can buy everything else online” she teased softly and grinned. “Oh you can definitely pull it off, we just have to find the right one for you” she commented and tilted her head slightly, Luna was pretty, it was easy for the redhead to imagine her looking good in plenty of different things.
She had an amused expression as the other girl outrightly admitted she would steal snacks right in front of someone “Damn you really don’t pull your punches when it comes to snacks huh?” she grinned slightly, wondering if it was an exaggeration or if she would actually catch Luna doing that, perhaps the curiosity in her wanted to find out. She scrunched her nose as she thought about what had more of an impact on her “If I hit my limit on alcohol...definitely that” sugar could make her high on energy but alcohol could make her do things she wouldn’t even want to admit she did the next day, it was different.
She nodded slightly “If she wants to resent you there’s nothing you can do, channeling your energy into trying to change that is only going to get exhausting and make you feel worse” sometimes you had to accept there were people who weren’t going to like you and move on from it. She chuckled “Nobody enjoys running cross-country. I don’t think I could trust anyone who does” she pointed out and shrugged. She bit her lip when Luna asked her if she ever smoked “I tried it a couple times” just to be certain she hated it. They headed towards the van before joining the queue she let go of Luna’s arms and turned to face her while they chatted “So what else do you like, other than food?” maybe a certain movie or TV show, something she liked doing as a hobby, she was curious to get to know her.
What Argent said did somewhat ease her a bit, because someone else thought the same. So she wasn’t just being intolerable in general, it was something natural. She swore she choked on her own saliva as a lump formed in her throat upon hearing that remark coming from the Aspect of Light, well that was definitely not what she had expected to hear. But at the same time, it sounds like something Argent would say. “About the situation and company they keep got it” she chuckled. “Shopping only sounds like it’ll be fun and worthwhile when you have someone to share that experience with. It’s boring to do it alone, even if you say you like your alone time…” Coming from Luna who knows to keep to herself almost all the time, the kitsune didn’t feel anything appealing about that particular activity.
She’s going to be alone anyway, nobody’s going to judge her style aside from herself, the fun in itself was taken out. “I once tried buying a dress online and it did not go well… it was tighter and smaller than I expected. Talk about false advertising…” Ever since then, Luna made it her mission to go there and try it on the spot so she wouldn’t have to go about her day complaining about the size. “You make it sound as if you’re going to drag me into a store and not let me out until we have found the perfect dress for me” she teased wryly, but there was a small hint of nervousness accentuating her tone because she had a feeling that’s something that might actually happen.
She shook her head and exclaimed bluntly when asked about not pulling her punches when it comes to snacks “I don’t play with food, you’re not supposed to play with food, it’s bad.” This was a very telling trait about Luna who doesn’t like to play around with anything in general, she would tease but that’s as far as things would go. The kitsune would not dare to play with food nor people. “Have you tried getting drunk and high on sugar at the same time?” It sounds like a curious case but for Luna who has had her fair share of trudging through weed festivals, it’s not a surprise.
She pressed her lips and sighed silently because maybe it’s about time she leaves that matter alone. Besides, her sister isn’t here, they’re not even on the same continent. “And you don’t like it?” Judging from the body language, it doesn’t seem like the redhead particularly preferred that type of smoking at all. Soon enough, the queue in front of them was shortened and it was their turn to which Luna ordered hers. “I like dancing” it’s the first thing that popped up in her head when she was asked what else she liked. “I used to like dancing anywhere that has music honestly when I have the time.” Hell, there was a time when she wanted to be a professional dancer too.
Argent couldn’t help but giggle under her breath when Luna reacted to her words, a lot of people assumed because of the way she looked and acted, Argent was innocent seeming on the outside but she had also lived a long time and experienced many thing, which certainly made her different from what most assumed. “I’ve been shopping alone and had plenty of fun but you’re right...it’s only fun that way if you’re a little fashion crazy like me” she shook her head in an amused manner “I’ll take you some time, you’ll enjoy it if you get the chance to go properly and maybe you’ll end up liking some of the stuff you try on” Luna was naturally pretty and she was sure there was plenty that would look good on her.
“Yeah online shopping is definitely a risk, I heard about someone who tried to buy some clothes online and when it was delivered, they were doll clothes” she shook her head in an amused manner, she supposed it was technically what was ordered but it was also entirely designed to scam people who didn’t read the full description. “But there are some places that are easier to buy from, look for ones that have plenty reviews on the fit so you can use it as a guide to find the right one for you” spoken from someone who ordered a lot of clothes online. “That’s exactly how it’s gonna go, it shouldn’t be too hard to find something to suit you though” which was an indirect compliment to Luna’s figure.
“Noted” she commented and flashed a soft smile when Luna said you weren’t supposed to play with your food, she was learning a lot about her new roommate in a short amount of time. She thought the two of them were going to get along well, Luna was quite serious but she also had quite a sense of humor and Argent liked that about her. Though there were parts of her that seemed quite mysterious, especially about her family who she seemed to want to distance herself from “Can’t say I’ve purposely done that but...haven’t we all ended up snacking on everything after getting drunk?” or maybe that was just a her thing but she always seemed to want chocolate. .
She pulled a face when Luna asked her if she liked cross-country “I can’t think of anything worse to do with my time” she commented in a grumbling tone, if she wanted to do a workout she would get up and dance before going for a long-distance run in the cold and wet “They always do it in the winter when it’s cold and miserable and everyone’s hands turn red too” she had wanted to participate in some of the charity runs for the hospital she had been working for but there was nothing the aspect hated more than being cold. Argent raised her brows and smiled when Luna said she liked dancing “Me too...I mean I’m not exactly good at it but it doesn’t stop me doing it anyway” she commented and smiled “Are you good at it?” it definitely wasn’t something she was expecting to hear about her.
To say that Argent is a little fashion crazy would be a clear understatement, just from judging her clothing choices on their first day as her roommate, Luna could already sense that this fashionista is about to make a name for herself. "Perhaps, since I've never really been so into shopping that much, maybe things might change. To be fair, it leans more to the fact that nobody really had the time to take me shopping, unless you count the maid…" or the butler essentially, which is a total bore after a while. Luna was much like other children too, she wanted her parents or her family to do things with her. Her brother was her only connection to that family.
"If someone delivered me doll clothes, I will hunt them down and give them a talk" she exclaimed bluntly, though there was no hint of threat in her tone, it was clear the kitsune meant her talk would involve her getting physical. "So much work" she mumbled and huffed, all that guidelines for someone who couldn't care less. "You know the only measurements that I actually give a damn about is bra size because everything else I just… put on." Thay do sound a lot like her. Very unbothered by what she wears. "The amount of times I've been reprimanded for wearing inappropriate attire… too much." It's not as if she did it on purpose. Argent was the opposite of her and at first, she was worried that they wouldn't get along well because both personalities would clash. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Yet, anyway.
But judging from how things are going, maybe it'll continue to go well. Not that she cared what her roommate thought of her, but nobody wants to make rivals and foes everywhere they go, she's a part of that too. It's better to lead a civil relationship. "I snack on pretty much anything heavy… I get hungry a lot." It's the reason why she always had her secret stash of food to help her at 'emergency' times. "So you don't like the cold?" Figured as much.
She doesn't prefer the cold either and especially likes summer. "I love summer… it's the best season for me." When asked if she was any good at dancing, she chuckled as a small blush came to grace her cheeks before shrugging absentmindedly, winking at the Aspect playfully, "I like to think I am. And the audience don't particularly make it any easy for me to not take that claim seriously too." She tilted her head slightly to face the redhead and smirked "I'm not shy to dance in front of people either."
The redhead pouted her lips a little as Luna explained how she’d never really had anyone to take her shopping unless she counted her maid, that was disappointing but she could understand why she would be hesitant to want to alone “Yeah…you have to read the readings really carefully and make sure the measurements are to the scale you want them to be” she commented and laughed shaking her head slightly. She scrunched her nose and laughed “Well you’re pretty tiny so I guess you can make most small sizes work for you” she pointed out and shook her head in amusement “You and I are quite opposites huh?” she pointed out thinking about how far apart they seemed.
“It’s only inappropriate if you let it be, I’ve gotten caught standing out at plenty of places too but that never stopped me” she was the type to wear bolder clothes or something bright and more eye-catching which often made her feel a little on the spot because people did stare sometimes, but in the end, she just accepted that. She laughed and nodded “So now I know how to bribe you pretty well, keeping plenty of snacks would definitely help” she giggled playfully and raised her brows as thought to challenge Luna to say she couldn’t be bribed by food after admitting it already.
“Can’t say I’m the biggest fan, I mean I know I can just put on a bunch of layers but I hate the feeling when your fingers go all numb and painful in the winter” she shivered just thinking about it, whenever it was winter you could find her tucked up in her room, under many blankets, refusing to leave. Argent was also a fan of summer, she’d never really had much of a problem in the heat and she loved laying out in the sun “Me too…swimming, cocktails by the pool, going to the beach…there’s plenty to look forward to” she grinned slightly.
Argent grinned and smiled at the way Luna seemed a little embarrassed to admit it but also winked at her, she lifted her hands and clapped a little playfully out of excitement “You’re totally amazing at it, I can tell” she teased softly, it was pretty cool to meet someone confident enough to do something like that “Does that mean I’ll get the chance to see sometime?” she questioned in an excited manner.
She was paying attention to what Argent was talking about, she never thought she'd actually pay mind to these things but here she is, listening to her new roommate intently "That sounds so complicated…" She mumbled, why can't clothes just fit people? Or why can't people just make things easier for themselves in the first place? Perhaps it feels unnecessary to her but it might not be like that to others, especially to fashion students lime the redhead. "Yeah I never really had problems with clothes in general, it fits me and I take them." And Luna wore things that suited her on said day, if she was feeling particularly tomboyish then there's a certain look she'd go for.
"Don't people say opposites attract?" She teased, she had no idea how true that statement was but based on her brief past relationship with Natalie, a girl who was pretty much the opposite of her, she thought that was pretty on point. "Well as long as I don't walk around being an exhibitionist I guess I can say it's not too inappropriate." She's not afraid of doing so, nude is still art, but there was no reason for her to do something so eye-catching like that, the last thing she wanted to do was catch people's attention more than she should. Luna was supposed to live a low-profiled life, after all.
She's a kitsune so she has never really been that bothered by the winter, but it was probably not wise to put that fact about her so early on in their meeting. Just because she could sense her roommate is not a human, doesn't mean she's in any rush to tell the redhead her supernatural identity. "Honestly, it's also the time where you can pretty much ogle people without feeling self-conscious or inappropriate" she shrugged, she's a woman too, she likes what she sees and people feeling confident with their bodies are one of the things that makes them attractive to her. Confidence is sexy.
The kitsune pressed her lips and hummed softly "I can't promise but if you catch me at a good moment and mood, maybe you'll get a show. Do you have a certain genre you like? I swear I won't judge if you say lap dance because you are not the first to ask." She won't be the first to receive it either so she can also say that.
She laughed and grinned slightly “Well if you stick with me I’ll make sure you get the hang of it” she commented and grinned slightly, it wasn’t easy to get sizing perfect but it was definitely a good skill to have to make sure you always had a good wardrobe. Argent frowned slightly “I can never figure out what size to get because I’m so short, the jeans always end up too long and I have to hem them so they don’t swallow up my ankles” she laughed softly and shook her head slightly.
“They do indeed” she responded and grinned, though she wasn’t sure how easy it was going to be for the two of them to fall into a routine she was optimistic given they’d managed to get along so far. She laughed and scrunched her nose when Luna pointed out being an exhibitionist would be one step too far “Yeah, definitely not a good idea, that’s a surefire way to kill your social life before it even begins” though she was sure Luna had a good body from her proportions and she could probably pull off a sexy outfit with ease.
She grinned slightly and tilted her head “Well obviously, why do you think college has so many parties going on all the time, everyone has the excuse to dance to music and stare at whoever it is they wanna stare at…truth or dare, lots of drinking, not to mention all the rooms they have around just for…reasons” she giggled slightly, she might have lived a long life but she’d never gotten to experience something like this and she was honestly pretty excited for it.
Argent widened her eyes when Luna pointed out people had asked her for a lap dance before, shifting a little on the spot and laughing “Well I was going to ask you for your best single ladies dance but that’s awfully tempting too” she teased playfully and glanced down to the floor and then back to her, god her confidence was attractive.
Luna knew she has always had her own style of fashion, but she never cared about her sizing. It just fits and like that. "I think it has more to do with the fact that I never really had a maternal figure to help me with growing…", She pushed back a few strands of her hair behind her ear and chuckled "I had that when I actually thought how the fuck do you measure your bra size? I didn't know. It wasn't until I went to some underwear store that I was finally able to find out my own size." It was that bad. Her mother didn't like her and well, a part of her also wondered if that was her fault too. A broken relationship between a mother and a daughter, it sounded like a classic plot for any soap opera but it's real to Luna. Maybe she was truly forgotten.
"I can trust you with dressing me then" She giggled, maybe then she might be able to pull something off without standing out like a whole stick. "Do you think I could pull off anything remotely… sexy?" It was a genuine question. The kitsune bit her lip because that does sound like a good life going, she had a feeling despite her demeanor, she would love going to parties and drinking. After all, it was only a few days around Evermore and she could already see plenty of beauties lying around catching her attention. Like the redhead in front of her. "Do you have anything specific you look forward to?" Could it be the drinking? The parties? The hookups?
She noticed the way Argent looked down once she said she has definitely done a few lap dances and smirked before leaning in close, fluttering her eyes at the other woman while purring "Do you want to see one? Or are you against having a lap dance by a lady?" She was definitely challenging her, a part of her wondered if her roommate is really as shy as she looks or it was all just a mask.
Argent nodded her head slightly “I had the opposite I guess, my mother was obsessed with appearance and how things looked, so I guess that got drilled into me somehow” though Argent wasn’t the type to wear something because it would impress someone else, she preferred to explore and to experiment so you could say she turned it on it’s head. “To be fair, I think that’s how most people figured it out” for modern clothing at least, back in her day the option was pretty much only to wear a corset and those just worked by being tight.
“It’s a shame your mother couldn’t make the effort though…it’s a nice experience to share” she might have mixed feelings about hers but at least she could have good memories of the past when her mother would be sewing a dress and she’d ask all kinds of questions about it. She gasped and grinned slightly “Of course you could, you have great proportions and I’m sure you can rock the sexy expression to go along with it” she responded enthusiastically and grinned slightly. She pulled a model expression to show her an example and then quirked her brow.
She shrugged her shoulders a little, honestly she hadn’t really zeroed in on any particular things other than the fact she got to try something new “Just the freedom to do whatever I do for once…I’ve not been given much of that luxury before” she confessed and nodded slightly, it was something. She laughed softly and nudged her shoulder when she teased about lap dances “I’m hardly a prude but I’m more of a buy me dinner first kinda gal” she jested back, shaking her head slightly “I can tell you’re going to keep things lively” she commented.
Luna was not the type who would go out of her way to befriend people just because she liked to keep company. That's normally what she does. But she also knew that once she entered university life and dorm life, she will have to socialize. Minimally as it is, it is still socialization at the end of the day. Argent was the bubbly roommate that she never thought she'd have but is also not surprised because at some point in her life, someone like the redhead will probably jump out and make it their mission to make her smile. She was not fashionable in the slightest so she was glad Argent was offering help.
"I don't like standing out so not dressing well is also not on the list since it will land me the same spot either way." Since people would look at her. "Yeah well... I don't think she's missing much though" maternal figures set aside, she was sure her mother wouldn't be bothered. Her family is complicated after all. When she complimented her and said she had a good figure and great proportions, the therian raised her eyebrow because that's quite the flattery. "Sexy is never my go to but... I can try?" At this point she had no idea what she was doing but she was trying to follow the Aspect of Light's flow. She had to admit, when she said she joined university because she never had the luxury to have her own freedom, she was weirded out because does that happen in this age and era still? "I guess I can relate in a sense because I ran away to get where I am today so..." It does make sense now that she thought about it.
"I like to go to clubs just to dance... do you know any good clubs around? Or are you not the type to go to places such as that?" She did not want to assume but she did mention buy me dinner first kinda gal. "I heard some students talked about good bars that just opened nearby too, alongside a bakery that is to die for. Is that true?"
She tilted her head almost in surprise when she said she didn’t like to stand out “All this pretty potential and you don’t want to at least capitalize on it a little?” she raised her brows playfully and smiled “You should really have more confidence, it’s a highly attractive trait you know” she pressed her lips together slightly.
Hearing Luna talk about her mom definitely just gave her the impression that she had come to accept the bare minimum and wished otherwise “You can still be mad about her not being around” it was a valid thing to feel, everyone wanted their parents to care didn’t they? “Hell yeah you can try” she teased and nudged her slightly “We can have it so that the entire bar turns their heads to stare because who is that girl and where did she come from” she commented and giggled slightly, Argent did love a good excuse to dress up and it was even more fun getting someone else to dress up.
She smiled empathetically “That must have been a hard decision for you to make” she murmured softly, she knew exactly how it felt though, even though it was centuries ago for her now, she still remembered how hard it was to make the decision to leave. “Oh no I love dancing” she commented and smiled softly “And if you’re looking for bars you’re basically spoiled for choice here, they’ve got plenty on campus alone and then if you’re looking for something else, it’s not far to walk into the city” but obviously those wouldn’t be opening for a while yet “As for the bakery, that’s probably the only thing from the list that’s open right now, you wanna go check it out?” she’d heard good things too.
She chuckled when Argent said that, “It’s not that I don’t want to capitalize on it. It has more to do with the fact that I don’t think I’m all that.” And Luna was being far from humble. The kitsune genuinely thought people would find others more attractive compared to her. She doesn’t exactly have a good personality either, which normally turns a lot of people to go the other side instead. Still, she wanted to be acquainted with her roommate. If she’s going to stay here, she should at least be civil to her, right? Or maintain some sort of… relationship or friendship, whatever comes first.
Parent issue has never been the number one priority for her. She didn’t care what they have to think about her, and it has been that way for a long time. Why bother bringing it back now when she has finally ran away from the sorry excuse of a household? The only person who actually give a damn about her was her grandfather and even now, she has decided to cut ties with. Luna had no one now and she was more than happy with the current situation. It seems that the moment she gave the idea of letting her roommate dress her up, the redhead lit up in excitement which did make her snicker in response, how cute. “I never knew letting someone dress them up can make someone so… giddy.” It’s the first for her.
The kitsune raised her eyebrow in amusement when she was told they had a variety of bars lounging around the campus area. “Not gonna lie, I didn’t think there would be a lot of bars around student area but I guess I was wrong, they sure know how to attract the other demographic then.” Good for her, god knows how much the girl needs a drink every now and then.
By the time Argent mentioned about the bakery, she could swear she heard her stomach rumbled, as if to say ‘feed me or else’. She bit her lip and nodded, “That sounds like a plan… I’m actually a bit hungry. Moving things and unpacking is exhausting” even for a kitsune like her. It felt like she had drained half her energy. “Just give me a moment…” she dashed to her room quickly and threw on a flannel around her as outerwear, picking up her wallet and beckoned for the redhead to lead the way “Surprise me mi amor.”
