Cynthia gave birth to her first born daughter and as excited as she was she was also terrified of what her daughter could be.  Mrs. Delarose was born and inita but Mr. Delarosa was a human. The only problem was that he didn't know about what his family was or what they were capable of doing. Their first born son Benjamin, was born a human so Mrs. Delarose didn't worry about her son. When Alaska was born she hoped that her daughter was born a human just like her brother. Than Cynthia wouldn't have to worry about her kids.

After she was born they kept moving around from country to country. When asked why? All Cynthis Delarose would say "Job related" and no one would question it. What no one knew was that before Cynthis got married to Frank she used to date this guy who wasn't a human. Cynthia didn't stick around to find out what he was but when her relationship turned into an abusive relationship she knew she had to leave. Years went by when Cynthia found out that there was a Phoenix after them, her ex-boyfriend. He tried to kill Cynthia many times but she would always get away but it was always hard to explain to Frank about the injured body and cuts on her body. Frank was also thinking that Cynthia was up to no good and maybe even cheating. He was scared for his family mostly his kids.

Alaska was 12 years old when it appeared in the middle of the night. She was screaming with agony like someone was trying to kill her. Her mother only had to check one place to see if her daughter was okay or not. When she turned Alaska over and lifted her shirt too see her lower back she saw the mark. That was the turning point where her father needed to know what they were.

When Frank Delarosa found out what his wife was and he figured out why they moved so often he couldn't take it anymore and left. Alaska was only 12 years old when she saw her father for the last time. But he didn't leave all by himself, since Alaska was an Initia just like her mother and Benjamin was the only human he took him also. Benjamin was only eight years old when he left with his father. That was also the last time Alaska saw her brother also. The older Alaska got the more curious she got and wondered where her other half of her family was. where they alive? dead? Questions that would hunt her in her dream.

The fires started in Rognac, north of Vitrolles, authorities said, adding that the cause remained unknown or what they believed. A fire blazes near Marseille early in the morning in southern France. Two people were reported injured, one of them seriously burned and after died, as the fire in Vitrolles moved toward Marseille her home town. Alaska was just 15 years old when she was visiting Rognac with her mother.  Alaska had a short temper since a young age so when her mother refused to buy her a doll from the market, her eyes turned a different color and then everything was over. At first it was just a spark of fire from the tip of her fingers and then the fire grew as her anger did. It wen't from the tip of her hands and then her whole hand could control it...or the fire was controlling her. When she realize what was happening it was too late. The whole town was in flame. The worst part was that she lost the most important person in her life, her mother. She died that day and Alaska blames herself every single day. 

By now Alaska was 15 years old and a orphan in the streets. She would go from one street to another begging for food or money. But one day she meet a lady by the market who would often give her food. The lady took Alaska in her home like she was her own daughter. For a short time she had all she needed. A warm bed to sleep on and clean cloths that she hadn't had in a long time. Still Alaska was afraid that she would hurt her just like she hurt her mother. She stayed in the ladies house for a couple a weeks before she ran away. Alaska didn't want to hurt anyone and she still didn't know what she was capable of what she could do. 

She still cried every single night hoping that her father was there with her, to be the one to comfort her in this time. She had never felt so alone as she was right there in the cold streets again. At desperate time called for desperate callings. she joined a rebel group who stole from the rich and were criminals.  It was the only thing she could do during that time. The "king' who was in charge would give them a place to sleep and food, something she needed the most. When they recruited Alaska from the streets saw was 17 years old and weight 50lbs. You could see the bones through her pale skin and the sickness in her eyes. As part of being in the gang she learned how to use knifes like a professional and was the best pocket thief among them all.   

As the years went by she ranked up in the gang she had been for years. And at the young age of 21 she was the right hand of the "king". With her knew power she began the search for her father and her long lost brother. When news came back to her that there was a man by the name of Frank with the same description as her father she knew she had to go to see if this man was really her father. When they handed her the paper of this man’s location she was a bit shocked by the place. "Evermore Cit, Co" it read, not the first time she heard of this place.

Before her mother died she told her many stories of  Evermore City as bedtime stories. She thought they were something her mother made up for fun. Her mother would tell her about the people and the immortals that lived there. How the city was a safe haven for her people, her kind. She talked about the balance of all and how one day they were going to go there. Alaska never thought it was real until she kept hearing stories about the great city. If her mother was right is was there where she has to be. As the older she got she was afraid of herself and her fire. It was there where she was going to find someone to help her control what she was. Her mother didn't talk much of what they were and she needed answer. She took the long plane ride and went over to Evermore city.  

She was living in the outskirt of the city when she saw the comet hit, she was up high in the mountains exploring the place when it happened. It was a peaceful night not a star in the sky and all of sudden there was a small red ball up high, the ball got bigger and then there was a fire int he sky flying across the mountain top.
