Mrs and Mr Edwards lived in Oxford, England. They lived in a small cottage near the west of the city of Oxford. Green luscious grass laid upon their front garden, pink and white flowers were covering the garden beds that Mrs Edwards had planted. Mr and Mrs Edwards were a married couple and have been dating since they were in their high school years. However, the Edwards family weren’t human. They were pure blood nephilims.
The Edwards family however had always been small, most of their past relatives had been killed by vicious attacks and it was one of the reasons why Mrs and Mr Edwards fled to live in a peaceful town as they wanted to protect themselves from the attackers, so they could protect their own kind of species. After a couple of years from fleeing the attackers, they were settled in their home and decided they wanted a bigger family.
Mr and Mrs Edwards had tried in the past however they were determined to try again. Mr Edwards knew how much it affected them last time when they did try for a baby, they pushed the past aside and tried again. It took them a couple of months before Mrs Edwards fell pregnant. Mrs and Mr Edwards couldn’t be happier.
Being in Oxford had its perks, all the facilities were close by and it was a rather peaceful city to live in and knew that their child would be happy living here. The couple went to their first ultrasound after it had been a couple of months since Mrs Edwards got pregnant. The couple were very excited as they entered the hospital together and went to their ultrasound. The appointment went well and it turned out they were having a baby boy, the two were immediately thinking of names once they exited the appointment.
The next 7 months of pregnancy went well although Mrs Edwards had odd cravings for certain things but that was natural. It was in the middle of night before she was woken up by a sharp pain in her stomach as well as a small puddle of water covering their bed. ‘’Sweetheart, he’s coming…’’ She whimpered. With that, Mr Edwards carried her to the car and headed to the hospital. Everything was a blur to Mrs Edwards after that.
At 3:30am on October 20th, Mrs Edwards gave birth to a beautiful little angel, they had decided on naming their son, Alexandre Erelah Edwards. Mr Edwards and Mrs Edwards were very happy and excited with their bundle of joy. He was such a blessing towards their little family. The next day, they took their little angel home and into their small cottage where he was going to be raised for the rest of his life.
From that day, he was loved and protected since the day he was out of hospital. As more time passed, Alexandre was growing fast and he was quick learn at his young age and his parents were quite surprised at how fast he was learning. With his smart talents and knowledge of things, his mother began to homeschool him when he was five years old. His mother however couldn’t keep up with his school life as well as her working life back in the office.
After two more years of homeschooling, his mother sent him to the nearest public school. Alex was seven years old when he began to go to school, it was easy for him to make some friends of his own age and he didn’t feel completely alone which he was glad for. The teacher’s were impressed by his intelligence and sent him home with homework.
His intelligence in high school was seen by many students and most people named him the ‘’smart kid.’’ His grades were exceptional although his extra classes such as sports, he was not a fan of and his gym teacher knew that. He struggled to find any sport he liked but it seemed sport wasn’t for him.
When he was attending a class, he was called to the principal's office and was told some very sad news. His mother had died in a car accident on her way home. That afternoon he headed home straight away to find his father crying on the porch. He hugged his father and cried with him, unable to keep his emotions at bay.
Both of the nephilims comforted each other throughout the night then over the next few days, they began to make small preparations for his mother’s funeral. Together they went to a small shop in town that made gravestones, with that, they both decided on what they wanted for it.
Mrs Edwards corpse was too deformed to be in a casket to be buried, they held the funeral the next day and Alex said a meaningful speech as well as his father as they held it in the backyard, planted the gravestone they chose together in the middle of the garden beds where the pink and white flowers were planted.
It had been a couple of years since his mother passed and things had definitely changed for him and his father. Mr Edwards was still mourning over the loss of his wife and was struggling to keep on his feet. Alex’s grades had fallen and he had began to get into trouble in school, this meant school fights with bullies as well as the teachers.
Alex was walking home from school one day and saw a group heading towards his home, it looked like a biker gang. As worry began to fill his mind and worried for his father, he began to sprint home but he was too late. His home was alight with fire as well as the backyard where his mother's gravestone was. ‘’Dad!’’ He called out as the biker gang had abandoned their work and headed back out. He immediately called the emergency services, tears were running down his face as he called for the fire brigade.
Time was going by slowly as the fire was steadily being going out by the fire brigades. Ashes soon remained around the property. They had pulled out a burned body and he immediately knew it was his father’s. He hugged his body close to his chest, he was gone. Both of his parents were dead. The fire brigade members apologised for his loss. The body was taken away and that was the last time he saw his father.
He only had his backpack that was filled with his things and a few clothes, the only thing he could do was head to his friends place and maybe stay there for a while. He was told a few months ago that his father had given him access to their bank account, he had rights to have the money he had inherited from them. His friend, Tazon allowed him to stay for as long as he needed too. Tazon’s parents were very sorry about his parents death and knew how much it meant to him.
He thanked them for letting him stay for as long as needed but he knew it wasn’t for long, he had to make a move and knew he wasn’t save here. Not anymore. Answers he needed to know from his parents on why that biker gang knew where they were and why they were targeted? Questions flooded his mind that night.
After a couple of weeks mourning from his father’s painful death, he had received a letter from an anonymous person. It read - ‘Watch out, Alex. You might be next on our list.’ - G
It scared him to think that someone might be following him and the threat was clear in the message. He had nothing to do with whatever his parents had trouble with. They acted perfectly normal like a happy couple raising their only child. Frustration seeped through him and he knew he couldn’t live in England anymore.
Decisions were made and he was set off to a new adventure; America. He said his goodbyes to Taxon and his parents, but he knew he’d be in touch with Taxon as he had been his childhood friend.
In the new year of 2015, he planned to move on from his parents death and forget about the message he had back in Oxford. He was in Los Angeles for some time before moving states again and settled into a supernatural city named Evermore where many different species were in the city. He was unpacking some boxes in his new apartment, completely unaware that a comet was flying through the sky at that moment in time.
A massive energy wave spread throughout the city and it caused Alex to stumble, fall back and hit his head hard against the wall of his home, it also made him passed out for the rest of the night. The next morning he had woken up to a pair of white fluffy wings, his mind spun for a moment as he saw the two. They were beautiful and pure white. Excitement slowly settled within him and saw how amazing they were. With practise, he began to flap his new wings, careful not break anything. He was surprised at how big his wings were as well.
He let them rest within his scars that laid on his shoulder blades and began to do the rest of his daily routine. His new life in Evermore was going to become interesting and nonetheless an adventure. As 3 years has passed and it is the year of 2018, he was still in Evermore and thoroughly liked living here although he still wasn’t quite satisfied with himself, he needed something to do in the community but he wasn’t quite sure on what to do. For the first time in a long time, he was at ease and so was his mourning from his parents deaths. He knew it was time to move on - even make his own family and friends.
