Amara Gray was the first and only born to Ashton and Lilith Gray. As a child she had the best of everything, her parents were loaded in money, and she didn’t want for anything, she was spoiled with everything a young girl could ever ask for, and they made sure that she knew about her trust fund, and the money her father had in the bank, so that she could have a future when she relocated to what they called Evermore. By age 6 her life had changed for the worse. Amara’s parents were murdered in cold blood right before her eyes, and she was taken away by an unfamiliar set of men and one woman who seemed to be the head honcho. The words coming from their mouth seemed unreal, she was only 6 what did being a shifter mean to her? It must have meant a lot for it to have caused these people to murder her parents. They told Aamara they would keep her hostage and away from the outside world, for she would one day be like her parents, an abomanation. Amara was kept with these people for nearly 9 years going on her 16th birthday.. She would often eavesdrop on conversations they had about the “shifters”, they had planned to kill her as well when she got the tattoo of either the sun or moon. The night of her 16th birthday, she had been laying in the cellar where the kept her at.

She could hear their voices echoing through a vent in the cellar floor, and as always it was her source of entertainment, but when she heard them talk about the human organization, how they were the few of them who killed off all supernatural creatures, her heart sank deep into her chest, not that she had much time to say or do anything about it. Her skin felt like it was on fire, a blood curdling scream escaped the young girls lips, and with that the woman who had captured her with the help of the two men ran down to the cellar only hearing her say “It’s starting”. Amara was frightened, she knew they had planned to kill her, and she assumed it would have happened now. But the woman explained, it would happen when her skin was no longer burning, and when the visions and nightmares went away. Amara was now kept in a bedroom, with metal sliding doors, and never allowed out, her flood would be slid under the door to her, and there was a shower and anything else she needed already in the room. She spent over a week with burning skin, tossing and turning, screaming and crying, from the nightmares she had, and visions she had when she was wide awake.

It had taken so much time or so it seemed, that she hadn’t even noticed the tattoo on her wrist, a sun tattoo had appeared. She now knew that she, like her parents would be dead soon, but she had been kept in the place long enough to know where a few cubby holes were, and a possible way of escaping. Amara heard foot steps coming towards the door, she tried to control her breathing, and her anger but instead, it only led to her shifting into a red fox. As the woman who was meant to kill her opened the door, Aamara had curled herself up under the bed in her fox form, and when she had the opportunity, she leaped out and ripped into the womans neck with her sharp teeth, staying in her shifted form until she escaped the mansion.

She ran back home, even knowing her parents were dead and that it wasn’t safe there for her. She needed information of the city Evermore, and her fathers bank information, for the money he had saved for her, it was plenty enough to get her to Evermore city, buy a house and start a life there. As she arrived to her old home in Australia, she grabbed a change of clothes after shifting back into her human form. Amara changed, and grabbed the credit cards from the safe her father had them stored in, along with a letter which had written information.
But, in the safe held a journal her father had written about the human organization in Evermore, that they were nothing like those in Australia. It was relieving news. But instead of going to Evermore city immedeatly she spent the next 10 years in Australia, lugging around just a book bag with the things from her fathers safe in it. She has planned to get revenge on those who had killed her parents and the ones that tried to kill her. Amara had to finally give up however, leaving her at age 26, she finally left her country and made it to Evermore, where she knew there were people like her. Now Amara plans to find a job and buy a home with the money her father had put away for her.
