From the minute Benedict Asher was born he was treated like a king. He was the surprise baby of the family and his parents Maximillian and Melody Wyndsor couldn't be happier. This a fun-loving Dhampir couple loved their baby boy with a burning passion that trumped everything else. Benedict Asher's older brother Jaycen Paul loved him as well, often taking his baby brother out for walks in the park, or to the zoo, where Benedict Asher loved to feed the giraffe's.

When Benedict Asher was three his parents died in a car crash, that killed more than twenty people. Overcome with grief and the desire to get out of that town, Jaycen Paul moved his little brother and himself from Edinburgh, Scotland to Evermore City, Colorado. Little Benedict Asher had no idea what was going on at the time, he just loved to see all the pretty flowers that his brother let him pick and keep.

When Jaycen Paul arrived in Evermore, Benedict Asher was asleep in his arms. Not knowing what to do or what to say in American culture, Jaycen Paul very young himself felt incapable of taking care of his baby brother and decided to get in touch with his parent's friends who loved there. Meeting them, they instantly agreed to take care of Benedict Asher . Despite their request for him to stay too, Jaycen felt the need to go back and home to the life his parents had built. His grief was great and though he was rarely in touch with his brother, he was happy that he had done the right thing.

As he grew up, Andrew and Amelia Westmoreland helped him get ready for his life when he wasn't with them. He also learned of his parent's death and his brother leaving. He was angry at his brother and wanted to find him, but decided against it. As his eighteenth birthday drew near, his adoptive parents trained him in all sorts of weapons, trying to get him familiar with all of them. His favorite was a Swiss sword called a Zweihaender. He loved this weapon and often used it in practice duels against Andrew. He often won as well.

On the day of his eighteenth birthday, Benedict Asher went to the weapons ceremony with his nerves all over the place. His baby blue eyes were wide at all of the weapons glinting at him, begging to be picked. As he wandered around randomly picking up weapons, Andrew and Amelia silently prayed that he would get a weapon that he trained with very well.

An hour into the ceremony, Benedict Asher was beginning to lose hope and at least his nerves had calmed down. As he picked up his favorite weapon, the Zweihaender, the runes on the sword glowed metallic silver. At first, Benedict Asher's grip was loose due to his sweaty palms, but his grip tightened after the runes started glowing. He silently cheered and picked a beautiful silver holster to slide his sword in.

After the ceremony, Benedict Asher decided to keep at his training, vowing one day to find his brother Jaycen Paul and ask him why he left. Andrew and Amelia decided that it was best for him and were secretly happy that he decided to stay behind. Benedict Asher didn't have to wait long for his brother to come back. Once Jaycen Paul had learned of Benedict Asher's coming of age, he couldn't resist wanting to reconnect with his brother and came back to congratulate him and decided to stay.

Benedict Asher now has his brother back and is ready for anything the future throws at him, even if he looks too young to get in clubs, which is the disadvantage or looking young.
