Family was always a questioning subject in Boñita’s life. Sure, she had met people that she considered family but as to who her real parents were, that question always left her mind wandering on the subject. Boñita Raquel “Rae” Dominguez was born on January 25th, 1999. She grew up never knowing who her mother was and her father had stayed to take care of her for a two years before leaving her behind with his “family”. It was his sister, a woman named Alexa and she took care of little Bonnie until she was about 16. Bonnie went by Bonnie Hanson. Bonnie’s childhood as she remembered made her grow up fast. She was full of energy, more energy than Alexa could handle at times. When Bonnie was about 5 years old, Alexa was pregnant with a child from a man that she was seeing. She helped Aunt Lex around with the new baby boy, her nephew Noah. She took care of him like he was her little brother and when Noah was two and Bonnie now 8 years old, Alexa was pregnant with her now husband’s child once again, a baby girl named Zoe.

Bonnie had accepted the responsibility of caring and looking out for her new baby nephew and niece which she now looks at them as her brother and sister. She looked after them despite their age difference. She helped them and walked them to school and when she was about 15, she got a job to help the family pay their bills. She was taken in easily by them but one night after she came home from work, they had a visit by a man. A man she did not recognize. She doubt that she would because the man appeared drunk and she could Alexa tell him to go away.

“Get out of here, Marcus!”

“I want to see my daughter!”

Those words were what Bonnie could hear and she thought the worse that maybe Alexa had an affair. She never knew her father’s name and whenever she asked Alexa, she would refused to talk about her brother. Bonnie left that night alone but she grew resentment towards Alexa for what she thought was the man.

When she got into her teen years, Bonnie had a temper. She thought it was something her body was doing, a change she was going through but it was getting worse. She was growing more irritable every day and had no way to challenge it. This had caused a fight between her and Alexa, Bonnie bringing up her “affair” out of anger. Alexa was confused but once she realized she was referring to, she told Bonnie the truth. That the man that came showed up that night was her father.

That’s when Bonnie asked about her mother. Alexa told her about Vanessa. Where she was from. What happened. The story Marcus told was that Vanessa had left Bonnie and Marcus, saying she couldn’t handle being a mother. Saying that she would return back to Mexico to her family. So Bonnie had an idea. When she would turn 17, she would try to locate her mother. She saved up money from her job and the day after her 17 birthday, she wrote a note to Alexa. She kissed her siblings on the forehead when they were sleeping and told them goodbye. She promised she would return for them.

And so that’s where Bonnie went. She was planning on traveling there and when she reached El Paso, TX. She ran into a couple named David and Linda Dominguez. They were looking for their daughter and she was stopped by them. The resemblance was striking when they say Bonnie and they had a picture of their daughter. It was an older photo but she couldn’t help but notice that they looked almost the same. And when she discovered her name was Vanessa, she knew that it was the same person.

She didn’t tell them that she was their granddaughter but rather that she helped them. She did tell them she was on the search for her mother but told them a different name. She didn’t want to let them know that until she had the right story. Something in her gut told her that the story her father gave was wrong. She kept the photo of Vanessa and went to search the States.

There’s something that Bonnie never knew and it was that she was a lycanthrope. It was just after she turned 18 and she felt horrible, both physically and mentally. She was still in El Paso, David and Linda taking her in. It was a full moon that night and Bonnie was in pain when it hit midnight. She got up from her bed and went outside for the January air to give her relief but when the full moon casted down on her, she felt the pain intensify and grow. It was then she heard a bone snap and the pain shoot up her body. Then the crunch of her bones were like a chorus in her ears and her gums hurt. It all happened quickly she was in her wolf form, running free. It was a new sense of freedom Bonnie had yet to experience.

That morning, she was back in her bed. Every part of her body sore. Linda had found the girl and brought her back home. The couple knew what she was and that only added to suspicion who she was. They told everything about being a Lycan and helped through the full moon the next month. When March came around, Bonnie had heard of a city in Colorado. There were more people like her and saying goodbye to David and Linda, another promise to come back, she made her way to the city called Evermore. She hoped to find her parents and maybe someone there would know something. It was a reach, that she knew, but with the new information of being a wolf and having yet to even master the abilities that came with it, she knew she would find someone there to help her.
