Most people believe there are only 31 days in december but Cal knows differently. Looking at the current calendar there are extra hours left over that make an extra day. And that extra day is when he was born. His parents both human were extraordinary. His father was lean and strong and his mother Gentle and unnaturally beautiful. He happened to inherit both of their strongest traits. But that set him apart, far apart. He was bullied and tormented throughout his childhood which made him close himself off from everyone worrying his parents.

When he got into constant trouble he was sent to Finwhich. a military school. There he succeeded and excelled in everything. But the one area he excelled the most at was shooting. Quickly he gained prestige and won multiple competitions that involved shooting. Once he graduated around 13 he wanted to join the military but due to his age he was refused. So he pulled a few strings and was admitted to the marines. there he excelled once more saving countless lives but something felt off about some of the enemies.

Through his years Cal came to fall in love with a woman and with time she revealed her secret to him, she was a shifter, a supernatural creature, the kind of thing that you only found in books was right there in front of him and despite all that, he loved her anyway and the week before he was due to be redeployed he proposed to her, promising they would marry when he returned from his next mission. However it wasn't to be, as when Cal returned home his beautiful fiancee had been found dead, murdered in cold blood, he didn't know what by, but he knew he would find out. For weeks he cradled the positive pregnancy which lay in her cold fingertips, a truly heartbreaking reminder of the truth, she was gone and she wasn't coming back.

Cal searched for the cause of his fiancee's death and eventually lead his way to the Isle of Skye, unknowing of the protection barrier around the island, Cal had entered without a blink and made his way to the castle, the aspects whom lived there were the first people who had shown him any hint of the truth in a world full of lies and so to continue his search he pledged his loyalty to their guard, here he would come to learn of the many species the world had to offer and he made the move with the guard to the Eternal City.
