Name: Celestine-Clarity Van Der Wood
Age: Looks 26, Real 30
Weapon Affinity: Sai Swords
Colour Affinity: Gold
Face Claim: Heather Morris
From the minute Celestine-Clarity was born she was treated like a mistake. Charles Van Der Wood hated Celestine-Clarity and her twin brother Blaze-Zander with a fiery passion. The twins mother loved them with all her heart. Celestine-Clarity was the sarcastic one, the one that stood up for her twin, the one who threw herself in Dhampir training, and the one who was kind-hearted and sweet.
When Celestine-Clarity was seven her parents moved her from Wellington, New Zealand to Evermore City, never warning her about what they were leaving behind in Wellington. Celestine-Clarity never forgave her father for making her leave behind her friends and her favorite Dhampir teacher. Celestine-Clarity became moody and more sarcastic then she was before. She threw herself into training with a new teacher, who quickly became her new best friend. Celestine-Clarity rarely ever came home and if she did it was to get clothes or finish moving her things to a new house.
The Van Der Woods were welcomed into Evermore with open arms, as Celestine-Clarity and Blaze-Zander were the friendliest ones. They settled down happily in Evermore, but darker things were going on behind the Van Der Wood's friendly exterior. Celestine-Clarity often wore tight-fitting long-sleeves and pants to hide the bruises from where her father hit her and dragged her around the house throwing her into walls and things. On the eve of her sixteenth birthday, Celestine-Clarity finally had had enough. She ran away from her father and mother and moved in with her best friend.
When Celestine-Clarity's eighteenth birthday rolled around, she only invited her mother to watch her pick her weapon. As Celestine-Clarity moved around the room trying to find her weapon, her mother sat on the edge of her seat. Celestine-Clarity picked up bows and arrows, knives, daggers and long swords, but none of them called to her. She was beginning to lose hope.
As Celestine-Clarity picked up a pair of sai swords, her grip was loose but it tightened as the runes on the handles of the sai swords glowed gold. Celestine-Clarity silently cheered. The sai swords were what she usually used to fight the practice dummies in Dhampir Dojo and she could handle them pretty well. Celestine-Clarity made the choice to stay with her best friend Ethan and train with him.
As her mother traveled with her twin brother, Celestine-Clarity found it easy to say behind. She had never wanted to travel the world, afraid she'd get lost. She loved training with Ethan and basically acting like a fool.
Celestine-Clarity now has a very firm grasp of her future and how she will handle it. There are still scars on the outside and interior of her but she chooses to flaunt them in her way of showing she's brave.
