Name: Cole Culai

Species: Initia - Radix
Family: N/A
Element: Air and Earth
Face Claim: Francisco Lachowski
Cole had always wanted to be normal but he found out early in life that he was not. Born to a male Initia and female human in Sacramento, California; the middle class couple awaited eagerly to find out if their child was a human or initia. Cole showed signs when he was just five years old, a temper tantrum was thought to be harmless by his mother until a strong gust of wind blew into the house. Papers, books, lamps and the like began flying around the house, his mother didn’t know what to do and had to call his father home from work to calm the child down. Cole gained control of himself and their belongings settled onto the floor once again. His father was proud, astonished by his son’s new found gifts but his mother thought otherwise. Around the age of 13, his tribal tattoo began to form across his body and he knew he could control the element of air. Cole began to focus more on controlling his anger and emotions as he got older. His father was delighted and his older brother and sister envious, while his mother was worried. Worried for how he’d fair in the world among so many humans. Even though there were more Initia out there, she still feared for her son.
As Cole grew older he was able to practice his gift of manipulating the air around him, allowing it to help him move things, people as well as use it for more darker reasons, like taking someone’s breath away. It was an interesting contrast from his father’s gift of fire and he’d often spar with him, going on a camping trip every now and then in the deserts of California to get some practice defending himself should he need it later in life. His gift paired with his fathers would either aid or hinder his flames, it was important they did this away from people, not wanting to harm anyone. Though his mother hated their playful fights and his siblings loathed him. He seemed to have a much better relationship with his father because of his species. His siblings became distant from him and so he looked for companionship from humans. He was nice and inviting, easily making friends but he was forced to keep his gifts a secret not wanting to scare them or push them away.
As he finished up high school, he went on to study music and the arts. Everything seemed to be going well for him until one day his parents were off at work, his older brother and sister confronted him. Admitted their jealousy, they wanted to get rid of Cole. He couldn’t believe they’d be so cruel. They tried to kill him but their plans went south as he used his gifts to counteract their attack. He created a small tornado in their living room, expanding it until it consumed the entire area. He added a few kitchen knives to the heavy winds hoping that would work. His brother was caught in the small cyclone and stabbed to death by the house hold items. His sister somehow evaded his attacks and lunged at him. He quickly moved to raise a hand up to her. Sending a powerful air attack her way, enough to force her to fall back hitting her head, killing her on the spot too. His parents came home to a frightful sight and as he tried to explain himself, they didn’t want to hear it
A surge of flames met him as he stood up and he pushed the current away, defending himself but doing that set the living room on fire. He took his time to leave, fear fueling his movements. He ran as fast as he could, anguish soon began to overcome him and he almost broke down in the middle of the street. He couldn’t believe his siblings, how dare they turn on his like this and now his father and mother.. He didn’t have anyone anymore. Were they alive, his siblings would probably be glad for what they had done and that angered Cole. He called a friend up, hoping he could take him in for a while and he moved into his apartment. Despair and sorrow took over his life for a while and he could barely continued his studies. His friend helped him find time to finish online and he was grateful yet felt so alone. He soon got word of the growing population of Initia in Evermore, Colorado and got a plane ticket to the city, hopefully he could find his purpose there. He cut off all contact from his family and looked to start a new life in Colorado.
