Emalee White was born on December 24th 1994 into what seemed like a normal family . They were a carefree, loving family that everyone loved however they had their hard times too like every family did . Emalee´s mother was an Initia however Emalee did not know it but her father did. Emalee grew up as a beautiful and carefree child, she had a loving personality, so kind and gentle towards people.

At the age of nine everything changed for the young Emalee. One day whilst she was staying at home, after having a long and tiring day at school, her parents were out in the city, doing some shopping whilst she remained home. Emalee was unaware of what may happen whilst her parents were gone but then as the doorbell ring and Emalee opened the door, she saw two police officers who were at the front door, late during the night. It was that night when she had found out her parents had been tragically been killed by a drunk driver who had hit their car straight on as they were on their way back home. Emalee didn’t take the news of her parents death well, she couldn’t believe that they were gone, let alone dead and she was alone. She went to live with her grandparents who were the only family that she had left, although things were not the same without her parents, nothing would be the same again.

Over the next year Emalee went back to the same old happy sweet Girl she was before the death of her parents. She found friends which helped return the happiness however she still remains sad when she thinks of her Parents . It was at the age of fiveteen when she felt a searing pain shoot through her lower back, and she was unable to do anything about it because the pain was too intense. As the pain came to a stop she checked her back in a nearby mirror and noticed a tattoo had formed where the pain originated from. She was confused how it came on her skin but somewhere she knew it but she couldn't remember where she had seen it. A few weeks later she remembered her mother had the same tattoo in the same place on her lower back.

Emalee had remembered back to the old stories and tales that her mother used to tell her as a bedtime story, although as she was trying to piece things together whilst she was trying to figure out what was happening to her and what the tattoo symbol had meant. She thought back to when she was a child remembering of the stories although at the time not believing that they were true until things started to make sense of what was happening to her. She remembered back to a story about a species called initia who could control the elements, fire, earth, water and air and that people who had initia gene would start to unlock their powers when they come of age. The first sign of unlocking ones intia powers was the appearance of the tribal tattoo that would be tattooed on the lower part of ones back permanently and the other step was the finding of one's element.

Although Emalee had kept her findings and all that was happening to a secret because she didn’t want anyone else to find out. Worried that people would look at her differently, as a freak. After learning more about the Initia species Emalee became curious as to which element she would be able to control. So one day she gathered items related to each element and attempted to manipulate them. First she had a glass of water placed on a table. She concentrated on the glass and tried to get the water to form a ball. Although her skills were rusty from just being discovered Emalee was able to control the element of water and she knew that she would need help in learning to control this element.

Emalee knew that she couldn’t stick staying in her childhood home in Kansas anymore and that it was time for her to fly the nest, leaving her grandparents behind and to find herself . She heard about a place in Colorado called Evermore City where there were factions of supernatural species that resided in the city, each faction had lived in a separate part in the city.
