Emmeryn Stone was born on a rainy night in Huntsville, Alabama to a single mother, Meghan. From the time she was taken home Emmeryn was pampered, both by her mother and her grandparents, Isaiah and Hollie, all who adored the small baby. Her family didn't have much, but as Emm grew, she had everything she ever needed, the only problem being her mother's boyfriends, who came and went rather often. Until around the age of five, Emm never had a stable father figure in her life, and grew increasingly close to her grandfather Isaiah, who was the one who started her interest in many different activities, the main one being playing the guitar. During these times, her grandfather would tell the young girl stories, ones he had heard about a group of people who could shift into animals. Emmeryn loved these stories, and memorized every one her grandfather would tell her, her mother and grandmother always entertaining her fantasies of one day being able to turn into an animal like the people in her grandad's stories.

Once Emmeryn turned five, something in her life changed, her mother finally getting a man that stayed with them. His name was Tobias, and he grew to be the father figure that Emm had always wanted, and after a couple of years her mother was set to marry him. She remained very close to her grandfather during this time, and her early school years were wonderful. Emmeryn's teachers often commented on how bright and happy she was, and she did well in everything she was involved in. The support from her new family unit was really all Emmeryn needed to excel, and she grew into a beautiful and kind young lady with many talents.

Emmeryn's life took a horrible turn soon after she turned seventeen. In a horrible accident while on their way home from dinner, both of Emmeryn's parents were killed, and Emm herself was hurt rather badly. She was left in the hospital for a month where she underwent therapy both for grief and for her physical injuries, until she was finally released into her grandparent's care. They did the best they could to care for the girl, and Emm was able to remain strong despite the grief that she still felt at the loss of her parents, instead channeling it into productive energy. She graduated high school in the top percentage of her class, and immediately went to college to pursue a career in therapy and counseling. She wanted to help people through the hard times that she had experienced herself. She ended up enrolling in a college in Evermore City, Colorado on a scholarship, and while she hated to leave her grandparents behind, they encouraged her to follow their dreams.

Emm hadn't heard much about the Gemini comet that was supposed to be streaking over Evermore until she arrived in the city. While she wanted to watch the rare astronomical event, she was also busy, and so she wasn't able to see the comet the night it was knocked out of the sky. Of course she was involved in the aftershock, just as scared as everyone else about the crashing, but really not attributing anything scary to it. She hadn't been studying in the city long after those events, as she was in her Sophomore year, when she began to notice this strange burning on her right bicep. After a few days of the burning not stopping, she grew concerned and went to see a doctor about this. Unfortunately the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong, and so they gave her a medicine to help with the burning and sent her home. It was about a week later when she noticed the moon tattoo that appeared right where the burning was. Having never really been a wild girl, Emmeryn was rather scared that this tattoo appeared out of nowhere, but she didn't have anywhere to go that would understand what was happening any more than she did. Her fear was made worse when she suddenly started suffering from night terrors of people she didn't know being attacked in the middle of the night. These visions grew continually worse until she was seriously sleep deprived.

Finally, after a while of this, Emmeryn got a lucky break. She was found by a person with the same tattoo as she had, who was able to promise her relief. He sat her down and explained to her what was happening, that she was a shifter, and that she needed to be tapped in order for the nightmares to end. Emmeryn was in shock, remembering the stories her grandfather had told her all those years ago, but she had stopped believing them a long time ago, putting them in the same category as Santa and the tooth fairy. She refused to believe the man at first, shaking her head in denial and deciding to go on with her life despite the horrible night terrors. Little did she know that her life was about to be drastically changed once again. While walking home one night, the pain hit her hard, the shift wanting to be completed. She had collapsed to the ground in pain when the other shifters found her, and they preformed the ritual to finish her shift. She opened her eyes to find herself no longer in pain, and that was when she was finally able to accept the man's story. She met the leader of the shifters that night, a woman named Saskiah Raymen, and began her training to become a skillful shifter while also continuing her studies in counselling.

Now, at age 22, Emmeryn has finished her schooling and her shifter training, becoming a valuable member of the community. Anything that needs to be done, you can count on her to do, and she truly enjoys her work in Evermore City, helping those that have suffered loss.
