Once upon a time…

There was a typical necromancer male born… He was incredibly happy… But tragedy struck.

His name was Erin, and he was the type of guy that was rather sheltered and closed off in his necromancer life, so he really didn’t know much about his species at all; like literally. All he knew was that he was a necromancer and that his opposites were the fae, and was also told to hate them. He wondered “Why? Why hate the fae?” So, at the young age of 7 he ventured outside (his house?), on his own; without his parents. And was rather surprised at what he saw…

What he did see? he saw a lot of other children at similar age of him and was even though the young Erin was pretty nervous to play with them, he eventually did as a girl glanced her over at him and shouted for his attention, begging him to come over, as to which he nodded slowly and did so. He found out that her name was Kiala and he found her to be a happy kid. The two became the best of friends and they did EVERYTHING together… She was even the one to tell him as much as she knew about the necromancer clan even though she didn’t exactly know much herself; but they learnt as they continued on with their lives.

As the two grew closer and closer that was when the two made a promise: that no matter what happened to each other, they would always be friends, that they would stick together through thick and thin; and that was when they gave each other a gift, he gave her the most beautifullest necklace while she gave him a bracelet; he never took it off and she never took the necklace off. That was… Until the tragedy struck them few years later when it was time for Kiala’s claiming ceremony began.

When he was 16 and she was 18 Erin was worried for his dear friend Kiala, something didn’t feel right at all that day, and it wasn’t the claiming… at all. But he knew his parents were acting weird that day… Of course Kiala nor anyone else anticipated as to what was going to happen. So as soon as the claiming ceremony took place Erin was just watching in excitement, he knew that her dark blood would claim her as a necromancer; for sure… but something happened, as soon as she was claimed by the darkness of that is the necromancers Erin’s mother suddenly started lashing out for no reason whatsoever, she started to use her magic uncontrollably, killing everyone in her wake. After killing almost every coven member in her sight the mother charged at Erin will full-on aggression, using her magic to try harm him. Before the few last blows were delivered Kiala, who was claimed by the necromancers, pushed Erin out the way and started fighting with the psychotic woman.

Erin was frightened by what was going on, watching what was happening, his mother finally threw Kiala onto the floor that was now a battle ground... she seemed too injured to continue her life… His mother has killed a load of the necromancer coven… She even killed Erin’s father!! and that wasn’t right at all. As soon as she left Kiala for dead she grabbed a knife from her pockets and stabbed herself, killing herself as her lifeless body now dropped onto the floor, since she stabbed herself in the heart. Erin knew his mother was diagnosed with schizophrenia, but he didn’t know this could happen, all he knew was that this ‘condition’ she had apparently was that she would get voices inside her head, telling her what to do…

Erin couldn’t think of anything right now except to run to his best friend's side and hold her. All that she could say was to just leave her for dead… and that she was useless to him as a friend. He shouted no; he shouted that he will always be there for his now-dying friend no matter what, and kissed her lips as she finally told him three words… them three words were very special to him as she finally died in his arms, noticing the necklace she still wore from him he took it as a keepsake and carried her dead body to give her a proper burial. Vowing to never forget this day… Ever.

It took a few hours but a few of the surviving coven members saw him at the grave, and joined him to pay his respects, patting his back and giving them his condolences. Finally deciding to go to a place where there would be more people like them, thinking it would be a good idea to go with them as it would be completely fresh and completely new for him. But he was upset, he knew he would probably never find anyone like his best friend.

After a few years of finally living in evermore he was happy and content, he was happily claimed and he was finally starting to learn how to use his powers more, but something didn’t feel right… and he didn’t want ‘it’ to happen again, even though he knew the same exact thing is impossible to happen he didn’t take any chances, he was still pretty ‘touchy’ about the subject and with everything that he saw what was happening to evermore he didn’t exactly like it, I mean; why couldn’t everyone just live together and be happy? like one big happy family like all them little kids he remembered playing with when he was 7. Then one day, as he was walking around the town of evermore with some of the members of his old coven he heard of a rumor, a place where all that could happen from a… The Isle of sky it was called. And it certainly perked his interest, however his old coven members weren’t so sure as it could be just that; a simple rumor. But they knew that if this is what Erin wants then they will support him all the way.

That day came, he told his friends he was going to the Isle of sky, and they helped him with everything and even gave him a few hugs and shared their goodbyes, they didn’t want him to go, but they knew this is what he would have wanted. After taking off and travelling for a few days he finally encountered it… and entered the new boundaries, he was nervous; he didn’t even know how he managed to due to what he saw in his grisly past. But he was glad to have arrived here when he was able to, now he lives in peace and harmony with everyone; knowing that he wanted to live in happiness with others, after all; it doesn’t even matter what species you are, but it is what is on the inside that counts. After all; he did learn that it was just your personality that mattered from the late Kiala himself.

And that was the story…

Of the necromancer… who still lives happily now, but he will never forget the tragedy that befell him...
