As a child Grayson didn't know that his parents led another life and in fact they were part of an supernatural organization that worked to protect the human race. He just knew them as Mom and Dad. He he adored them both, his father especially, who was his hero. He spent hours with the man, his father teaching him everything he knew, from fighting to handling weapons. In their day jobs they were self defence instructors, so Grayson thought nothing off it when his father handed him a knife and told him to protect himself. His childhood was happy, he got good grades in school and he had a lot of friends, everything a child needed or wanted Grayson had. At fourteen Grayson's mother fell pregnant and in the same year she had a little girl, which Grayson came to adore.

Then as Grayson turned 18 his parents were killed, he didn't know the details and it would be years later before Grayson would ever find them out. It left Grayson as the soul carer of his baby sister, Amena who was 4 at the time. At 18 Grayson learned what his parents really did and there no hesitation in his voice when he answered with wanting to follow in their footsteps. Grayson knew the years his father spent training him was for this, and he wanted to protect himself, his sister and the rest of the human species from whatever was out there. Grayson's standard was high, his training more refined and skilled than some.

He kept the secret from Amena, raising her as their parents would want. She never went without and Grayson worked his ass off, making sure she would never want for anything. He wanted better for his sister and as the years past his desire not to have her fighting the wars in Evermore grew stronger, he wanted her oblivious even if it put her in danger. He didn't want to see his only family left to fall at the hands of the supernatural. Though at sixteen she saw Grayson and the city for what it was, an altercation happening in the streets of Evermore right in front of them, leaving Grayson with no choice but to step in. Grayson was left with no choice but to tell her everything. The moment she turned 18 she joined Human Alliance.

Grayson didn't like it, but he accepted it and helped her instead, dedicating hours of time to her training and he watched as grew into a fierce young woman that could stop a man dead in his tracks. Grayson wasn't ashamed to admit she was better than him. Seeing this side of her set a part of him straight in realizing that she was stronger than he had given her credit for and as a result it lead to them become a lethel pair, working together on nearly every assignment given.

It did have an impact on his life outside the work, Grayson's last serious relationship was in high school, but he wasn't interested in something serious; he didn't want to fall in love and have his judgement clouded or have someone pull him away from the faction. Instead, he took what he could get wherever in the world he was; and Grayson didn't care if it was a man or woman giving him 5 minutes of peace, he just wanted those five minutes.
