Like generations before her, Hermione was born & raised in her family mansion situated on the Isle of Mull. From a young age Hermione's parents knew she was different, that she would be quite a handful with her hunger for exploring & curious nature. As a young child she would often be found out in the woods playing alone, or sometimes with her big brother Oscar & their cousins. Though she did enjoy her own company just as much.

Being a bit of a tom boy & adventurer, the fair haired Nephilim would more often than not come home with grazes, bruises & the odd tare in her clothing. By now though her family had gotten used to her ways & accepted her as she was, that didn't stop them from being concerned for her safety & well being however. By now she had a little brother too who was around the age of three, she adored him but couldn't help wanting a baby sister. She often amused her Mother & Father with her complaints of little Oscar being messy & smelly, she assumed a baby sister would be much cleaner.

By the time Hermione had entered her teen years, she had her wish for a little sister granted. April, her little sister was the sweet, soft toned little girl who was anything but a tom boy. Hermione was fond of her though she did wish April would be a little more independent, adventurous like herself. It was quite often when Hermione would sneak out at night that April would follow her, like the little voice of conscience she would go on repeating the same little statements time & time again, such as "Hermione it's not safe!" Or "We should go home before someone sees us." much to Hermione's disapproval. But however much she didn't like to admit it, more often than not April would be the one who reigned Hermione in & got her out of any serious trouble.

Years passed with more of the same, unlike her siblings who by now spent a lot of time deep in the caves tunnel system directly beneath their family home in their ancient family library, Hermione would spend her days out in the woodlands & meadows where she would train on a daily basis in martial arts along with the use of weaponry. She also became arguably the best at flying out of her siblings. Something her family, in particular her Father was quite proud of. When Alastair departed to Evermore after the great changes their species had undergone, which followed by Oscar's following; Hermione decided she too wanted to go but her family disapproved of the idea which she protested seen as Alastair was younger & still allowed to go.

It was a few nights after protesting her wish to head off for Evermore & knowing her family didn't want her to go, still being determined she decided to gather a few things & enough money to last her at least three or four months. Before she could take off from her bedroom window April's soft angelic voice peered from the darkness of the room "Where are you going, you're going to get in trouble." It led to a heated discussion between the two sisters, but it eventually ended with April taking to the skies along with Hermione where they both would head for Evermore. Knowing their brothers too would disapprove of them coming out to Evermore so recklessly, Hermione decided she & April would lay low within the Nephilim compound for a while.
