Iona was always an outgoing, happy child, she lived in the sanctuary of the ocean sharing her life with the other naiad and enjoying all the oceans waters had to offer. Her parents were both naiad, making Iona a pure blood, she had only ever known the underwater city that the naiad had built for themselves and this was where she was happiest. She enjoyed being able to interact with the creatures around her, not just the Naiad but the sea creatures too

Iona grew up with an average life within her kingdom, she attended school and worked hard to understand all she was taught, she even took interest in the history of the humans, a species rumoured to live far away upon the land and she had always wondered what the land would be like. Iona grew up by herself mostly, her parents fulfilled important roles within the kingdom’s protection patrols and could rarely be at home with her and therefore she was placed in a house with other people her age.

At the age of twenty-two the invasion hit the kingdom, her and the other people from her house were evacuated, she left with the rest of the Naiad for the city of Evermore, she was scared as she swam away, she knew her parents would have been part of the protection resistance and she worried greatly for their safety and she has yet to see them again following her evacuation from the kingdom.  Upon arriving in Evermore city, everything felt different, the people here weren’t carefree and happy like they were back home, everything felt tense and difficult and the feeling in her gut tells her it is only just the beginning

 Iona was born with naturally bright blonde hair, her eyes are usually greenish blue but can be more blue or green depending on the lighting she is in, she has just past shoulder length hair which she changes the colour of in the form of dying, not often, but she does change it. Iona is quite pale and has been bullied about it since she was a child; it is one of the features people pick on her the most about. Iona is only 5'3 in height and is reasonably slim, her small figure and height make her highly underestimated by people, but she will never back away from a fight and will stick to her opinion no matter what, there is more than meets the eye in this small package.  Iona is a bubbly, outgoing kind of person, she gets on with most people from whatever species and it is this sweet personality which she hopes will help her find a few good, trustworthy friends, maybe even love.
