Jade King was born into a large family, as the younger sister Jade looked up to Sophie the most, but often found herself in envy because she always wanted the fire trait that only Sophie got off their father. Jade constantly found herself trying to approve her abilites and one up Sophie, but the two were close enough that it didn't matter at the end of the day. Jade is close to her brothers and her other sister but her bond with Sophie's is the strongest.

Jade's family moved to the eternal city, where many supernatural resided, Jade began to notice how uncomfortable her father was in the city, but Jade continues to move forward and felt little to no sympathy for her father, after all of the favortism he showed with Sophie and the other siblings, Jade only felt that it was justice for how her father acted. Jade noticed that her father began to go crazy and grow more paranoid the more time he spent in the city, for her 17th birthday, Jade was gifted a blade, it looked rusty and Jade didn't want the gift, until her father told her what it was for and explained the story behind it, after setting her down and explaining the blade he'd given her, Jade could do nothing but smile, and for once she felt that her father cared about her safety and protection. The blade had been passed down through generations of people like Jade and it would keep her safe from all the supernaturals that lived among her and her family in the new city.

Not long after her birthday, Jade's father went missing, it was then she realized how much she cared for her father and with him being gone it changed things for her and Jade began to grow a stronger bond with Sophie, until the night Sophie told Jade goodnight and left with their oldest brother, while Jade sat at home waiting on Sophie to come back safe, she heard loud screams and loud noises coming from downstairs where the rest of her family were, Jade followed her instincts and ran to the top of the stairs, but what she saw at the bottom kept her from going the rest of the way down, all Jade could see was blood and bodies of her family, Jade ran back to her room and went to her window, after climbing down the ladder that lead to her room, Jade ran as fast as she could until stumbling into the woods, she then fell to her knees and sobbed for what felt like hours but Jade knew she needed to find safety and shelter soon.

As of now Jade roams the city in search for a stable place to stay and she still has hope that she will see her father, sister ,and oldest brother, Jade still holds on to the old rusted blade that her father gave her for her birthday and smiles when she remembers that he gave it to her to keep her safe from supernaturals, Jade spends most of her time in the woods, looking for any and everything that may lead her to Sophie or her father.
