Born into a split family in a small town near the Mexican border, Jaycob was raised by his mother the only parent who was actually in his life. His father had chosen to split from the family a few weeks before Jaycob was born due to an affair which happened, which had also put a massive strain on the family because his parents decided to split the children apart as well. Jaycob has an elder brother Kai who he only got to see one weekend every two weeks, which only made it harder for the brothers to bond and get to know one another. So growing up for Jaycob was no were near as easy as the friends he made while he grew up, while he got to see happy parents with their kids Jaycob was left with only his mother and a father who he never got to meet or know.

Jaycob's life soon became more of an adventure growing up as his father soon decided it would be best to let him have a normal childhood and spend more time with his brother, allowing Kai to move home to his mother Jaycob slowly began to feel his life starting to fix up. As Jaycob turned 7 his mother remarried and Jaycob finally had a father figure in his life, which became more of a full family for him. He got to see what it was like playing football and having fun with a father, even though this man was not his real father he never let that stop him from loving him as his real father. By the age of 10 Jaycob's real father decided he wanted to meet his son for the first time and Jaycob was unsure, however he did eventually meet him. The pair only met up once which was an awkward meeting since Jaycob did not know what to say to him, and his father did not seem to feel anything toward him. So the pair parted and never seen each other again.

Jaycob carried on his life with his mother, brother and step father getting into the odd spot of bother which was normal for a young boy growing up, however it was never serious anything serious. Even though he did manage to slip of the wagon every now and again he never cause trouble, since his step father had build a room where he could take out his temper out in peace without hurting anyone. As he reached his reached his teenage years his step father and his mother were glad to see that Jaycob was a popular child, he got straight A+'s in school and he got into sports which helped him remain calm. By the time Jaycob was 15 he was now a proud uncle of a niece and a nephew which his brother Kai had, and Jaycob soon became a responsible loving uncle which lead him to a whole new part in his life.

However by the age of 17 Jaycob decided he wanted to see the world outside of the Mexican border and his family moved to New York, where Jaycob attended a New York High School and kept his grades high which surprised his family. Although that wanting life soon became more wanting when Jaycob started to have somewhat nightmares, which he was not afraid off for some odd reason. People chanting some ritual around him, Jaycob woke up to find it was only a dream so he shrugged it off each time until the nightmares slowly became to show him more, unsure of that the nightmares was he began to research what it could possibly be and soon enough he heard from a young girl about a place called Evermore City.

Curious of what this girl was speaking about he soon became her friend and the pair decided they would travel to evermore, so when summer came and a few weeks before his birthday he decided to try and find the city of Evermore. Excited and up for a whole new adventure he said goodbye to his family and went looking for the city, which took him a few weeks to get to. 2 nights before his birthday Jaycob had finally arrived at Evermore City his eyes took in this small yet beautiful City that seemed to have many things happening, Jaycob smiled as he and his friend explored. However his friend he soon found out lived within Evermore so he knew he had a friend to keep in contact with if he didn't find the answers he needed, about why he was having these weird nightmares. Staying in the local hotel Jaycob wondered the streets buying books and trying to find answers of what was happening to him, but on the night of his 18th birthday something massive happened.

As he began to feel some odd changes happening to him he was wondering along the path of the near by woods which he didn't know at the time was Shifter territory, Jaycob came across someone who he never knew at the time was the Ambassador of the Shifter's. Jaycob was just about to ask him what was happening when he finally found out remembering a book he had read, he was being tapped by the shifter gene, something which finally put fear into his eyes and made him scared for the first time in his life. Jaycob was beginning to understand yet he was unsure of why this was happening, as he begged the Ambassador to help him he soon wondered what was going to happen to him now he had finally put two and two together. Jaycob knew he wouldn't be returning to New York he knew that he wanted to remain in Evermore and be among people who was like him.
