In Colorado Springs a beautiful baby girl named Karis was born, her parents Jean and Grayson Jesen where two of the most respected people who lived there. Her parents were both shifters and knew they could keep this secret from their little girl. So as Karis grew up each year they'd tell her stories of the shifters, it was only when she was 10 years old she actually began to understand what the stories were. Her parents then explained that it could happen to her. She one day could become a shifter.

However they never allowed what they told their young daughter, affect her education they told her just to live her life how she wanted so that is what she did. Attending school like any normal kid she also made many friends which she liked, growing up for Karis may not have been all like a normal child but she never let it affect her. She kept her head down and focused on her school work and gymnastics. Something which Karis too greatly to and enjoyed, she even won medals for her talents.

It was when Karis was 16 she started to notice changes in her family home, her father was more in her life than her mother was. It turned out on the night of her 17th birthday her mother left, something which did hurt her but she knew she had to keep up her work and life to how she wanted it. Yes she did have a few fights as well as arguments, but her father soon moved them to Evermore City a place he'd grew up.

This was when Karis's life changed forever, it had only been 3 weeks since she and already changes had happened. Karis had gotten a tattoo which at first stung like mad, but after a few weeks this all seemed to die down. That was when she started to have dreams about people, and about animals unsure of what it was Karis went in search for help. That was when she met a Shifter unknown to her at the time was the shifter leader. She found peace with her, and it was after many months, and 1 day before Karis' birthday that the changes got worse. That was when her father finally decided to help but by then Karis had already ended up with people who helped her body allow her shifter animal mix with her.
