At the beginning of his life, one would assume that Kyle would be around people he considered family all his life. That’s what being born into a pack made it seem like. Born to Thomas and Ella McCartan in a small town in Georgia. In that small town was a wolf pack that remained hidden from the outside world. The Georgia landscape made it all easy for the wolves to run free, most of the members being lycanthropes. On March 21, 1994 Thomas and Ella welcomed their baby boy named Kyle Lucas McCartan into the world. The boy would grow up as a pure blooded lycanthrope and also into the pack. The wolf pack protected their young but Kyle would be the youngest and the last member before the destruction of the pack.

Kyle grew knowing what loyalty and love looked like in his younger years. He had a good childhood and was thankful for that. The memories of his childhood and the people in it are something that come to Kyle’s mind from time to time but every memory has warmth and safety in them. That’s what it was but little did everyone know of the unknown war between werewolves and vampires in Georgia. Kyle was just 7 years old when the attack happened. If you asked him about it, he won’t tell you much because they all come back in snippets. The screaming, the fire, the blood are things that flash through his mind. But he keeps the image of his parent’s bloody bodies to the back of his mind.

But, it seemed that luck was with the young boy that day. There was a rogue soldier of this vampire army that attacked his pack. The vampire named Alexander disagreed with the whole attack and every other attack that took place against the species. So Alexander left without a word but without meaning to, he found the spot where the attack happened. He was just almost out of town before seeing the smoke and smelling it. He headed towards the location to find a small boy hidden from the nocturnal creatures. The boy had reminded him of a son that Alex had lost many centuries ago when he was able to be a father. Due to the resemblance, he managed to save Kyle from the vampires.

Kyle was frightened at first. And if he was honest, he doesn’t really know how he was able to accept help from his natural enemy but he did. The young boy had a feeling the stranger was telling the truth and he could tell Alex was a vampire. So, he ended growing up and being raised by Alex both becoming an odd family. But since Alex had left his vampire army, it put a target on him. In order to keep Kyle safe, he taught him how to fight when he was 10. Little things that the boy could handle and it helped because Kyle was getting a lot more energy as he grew. Also a lot more aggressive as the lycan blood ran through his veins. It was around the age of 16 where Kyle knew everything Alex did. That included how to handle weapons.

During this time, Alex knew how to keep them hidden from the other vampires and stay in Georgia. When he was 18, Kyle graduated high school. College was a topic that stayed in the air and remained to stay questionable. It was a week after his graduation that it would be Kyle’s transformation began. He never experienced something like that before and every part of his body twisted and turned into his wolf form. It wasn’t until after a couple of nights after his transformation, something had happened. It was one rainy night and after coming home from his job, Kyle saw all the lights off in Alex’s house. Rushing inside the house, he tried to find the vampire before he found his friend’s body with a stake in his heart.

He didn’t think vengeance would fill him and fuel him, sorrow sure, but he was more angry than said. The only family he had considered was now gone and with the training he had, he wanted to take down whoever was behind this. He left Georgia and never returned, even in his travels he would just pass through. Never stopping to revisit any place his memory had of the place. He traveled for the next 5 years before hearing of a place in Colorado. Maybe he could find more information from this city that holds supernatural beings. Hoping to get some answers or any closure, he travels to Evermore City to maybe find a home there too.
