Lance grew up in a poor region of Minsk Belarus. He lived under powerful oppression throughout his life, the only light he knew were legends his mother told him of his origins, the sun clan. He was told of a man who was his ancestor, a robin hood like figure. He aspired to one day leave and go to america, a land where everyone was happy... not just him... one day, he finally got the money and plans set. Bringing his family, consisting of his mother and sister he attempted to escape the country's borders, but only he made it out. His mother and sister were captured, and are presumed imprisoned, if not dead.

He escaped to France, learning the native language quickly, and learning from a kind man how to use machinery and more about mechanics. Soon after he left to England with the little money he had earned. In England he lived on the run, shifting between gangs and committing thefts often... he eventually learned English as well, but still kept his accent. It was there in London though that he learned of his abilities, this just helped him with his stunts and crimes, albeit hard. 

After two years in London he finally made the money to get to america... Getting a ride to new york city.... and spending a year hitch hiking bus riding and train riding (doing other "jobs" along the way). He made it to Evermore city, and since then has been living on the edge, never staying in one place for too long... he has yet to meet any other shifters, but has already had some (not so good) encounters with other species... especially when he trespassed on phoenix  territory for a little while... but hes managing to stay alive, sleeping in the day and prowling the shadows at night.
