Lilly Stratton was born to Laura and Peter Stratton in 1993. She had a pretty normal childhood considering what her father was, both of her parents deciding to keep her supernatural identity a secret till she was 18 years of age. They went to extreme lengths to keep her from anything supernatural and enrolled her in a public school to give her a normal, human life. However, on the weekend of her 6th birthday, the family was driving back from a trip to the cinemas when they were met with a sudden accident. Lilly doesn't remember too much of the details other than seeing her father rescue her and her mother before becoming unconscious.

When she awoke the next day, none of them seemed injured, strangely enough and on asking her mother, she was told that they were lucky to have survived the crash without a scratch. However, Peter soon realized that the crash was no accident and it was a message from his enemies. Lilly wasn't told enough about who or what these enemies wanted only that they were too dangerous and Peter had to step away from his familial life to keep them safe. He promised that he would watch over them from afar, assuring them of their safety and left a sobbing and distraught Laura and an equally emotional and confused Lilly behind. Lilly spent years trying to cope up with the loss of her father. But, she had promised her father that she'd grow up to be a bright young woman and not disappoint him so she went ahead and finished school, graduating with honors, and making her mother and grandparents beyond proud.

On her eighteenth birthday, her normal, human life came to a halt as, at Peter's wish, Lilly was given his journal by her grandmother. The journal revealed what Lilly had been suspecting for years - that she wasn't normal. The purplish tinge to her eyes, the scars on her back always made her question but Laura would simply call them birth marks and dismiss the topic. Upon realizing that she was a Nephilim, Lilly took it upon herself research as much as she could about her species and other species that existed, teaching herself how the supernatural world worked. It is then that her mother revealed that Peter had been chased by Phoenixes who had a long lasting feud with his family and he had to leave them for the sake of their safety from these fire-wielders. Lilly was also informed that more like her, Nephilims, lived in a city called Evermore and that is where she headed to.

Soon after, news of the comet spread through the city and Lilly found herself in the park with the rest of the Nephilims, watching for the Gemini twin. However, as the comet streaked through the sky, a blinding pain caused her to grow unconscious as she fell to her knees. When she awoke, Lilly realized they had been gifted with pure white wings and immortality. Wasting no time, Lilly fought to continue a normal human life, with added perks and downfalls of course. She got a part time job at the local diner, and continued to study at the University of Evermore, majoring in a nursing program. She had an undeniable urge to constantly help people, no matter what, it was part of who she was after all.
