Born in Sydney Australia the Darwin family were not like other families you would see around you. In fact they were far from it the Darwin family were actually a pure blood family of Initia’s who lived within the Initia Community in Australia, until Daniella gave birth to her son Hayden and daughter Lydia on September 4th 1993. That was when Daniella and her husband Ashton left the community deciding they wanted to try and raise their children without the Initia rules, they soon found a beautiful little home in Melbourne where they soon raised their children. Lydia was the second born child of the twins; but she was able to have a special bond with all of her family, but one person out of all she had a special bond with was her twin brother Hayden she always would have a soft spot for her brother, even if he was the favorite child out of the pair of them. But over all of that her childhood was a wonderful childhood and she couldn’t complain about anything even if she tried.
However it was only as Lydia began to grow older that her life slowly inch by inch began to get harder for her. Her parents would always fight about what would be best for her and her brother; always try to make one look better than the other and always drive the twins crazy, but when she and Hayden turned 7 the pair had finally had enough. Hayden being the first to shout out Lydia soon agreed with her brother, her parents needed to stop picking one over the other and stop controlling them. Lydia and Hayden were both able to make decisions on their own lives and it was only fair if they actually listened to them, surprised to see that their children were standing up to them the Ashton and Daniella looked at their children proudly. Even though Lydia could tell that her mother did have a bit of hurt in her eyes, she knew that her mother needed to understand the kids needed to have a say in their lives too.
This was something that made both of them proud to see that their children had finally had enough and was ready to make their own paths to their lives, and now that they had finally spoken up there was no turning back. Lydia told her mother that she didn’t like being dressed up as if she was some doll you would find in a shop, and she also told her mother that she didn’t like the old time music in fact she hated it. Lydia liked to live her life as a somewhat kind of rebel, taking as many risks as possible and learning from her mistakes, Lydia soon made friends with both the good and bad kids. Turning those who were bad and wild and tamed them into something respectable, that was when her mother and father both seen she would be a good respectable young woman when she finally grew up. It was also from then that Lydia took a massive interest in the arts of music and acting, joining the local clubs around Australia Lydia soon made even more friends and soon lost her attachment to the wild child she once had.
It was at the age of 12 that Lydia had now managed to land herself in a number of Australian roles in the acting line around Australia, and also managed to land herself in one of the main plays within the school she attended. Not only from that day did she make her parents even more proud, she also made her brother proud seeing that she was willing to stand out from the crowd and say I did it. She also showed that she wasn’t going to let anything get in her way of the life she wanted to live. However that happiness of standing on stage was soon all turned around when her parents knew that it was time, to tell their children the secret that they had been dreading for years. So when they got their children home Lydia and her brother sat down and listened as their parents explained what could possibly happen to them, in the future when they turned 18 years old. At first Lydia didn’t even seem to react watching her brothers reaction toward the news, it was only after her stubborn brother had left the house that Lydia reacted. However not in the way people would have thought. Lydia was really accepting to the news her parents had just told her, and she couldn’t wait to see what changes that were going to happen to her in the future.
As the next morning came around she had been told by her parents the night before that they would be leaving Australia, something that Lydia had also accepted however not really sure how she would say goodbye to her friends. She decided to leave them all a little present and a letter explaining to them why she was leaving, and that was when she finally said goodbye to her hometown and that she would always return to visit. Her emotions for her hometown were yes a little mixed up and upset, but she knew that any choice her parents made for this family that it would work out to be the best for her and her brother. Going to the airport Lydia worried for her brother who didn’t seem to show a single reaction, she soon placed her hand on his shoulder only to watch him break down in tears. Knowing too well that her brother didn’t want to leave Australia she told him it would be for the best, which soon enough he got onto the plane with her by his side. Helping her brother along the way Lydia knew that once they had gotten to America that it would all finally hit home, that the pair of them would have to let go of the past and move on.
For Lydia doing that didn’t really seem all that hard after all she didn’t really have too much to worry about back home, her friends would understand and they did after all have her phone number so they’d always be able to stay in contact with one another. However it was only as the family reached Evermore City in their new car that Lydia began to have second thoughts. Wondering if she and her brother made the right choice she began to cry; worried that this city they’d have nothing but problems here Lydia wanted to return home, that was until her brother comforted her and told her the same words she had told him earlier. It was for the best and he was right showing his sister that this place was filled with many different species, Lydia soon looked extremely interested in what else could be lying within this City. Her parents explained that Evermore City is a somewhat safe place for the supernatural to live, and where they don’t need to be afraid anymore so as Hayden had learned to give the place a chance. Lydia glanced around once more and agreed. It couldn’t be all that bad could it?
She went back to school once again and continued her studies until she began to feel this horrible burning feeling, as if something was stinging her hundreds of times in in back. She was only 17 and a half when this started to happen. It was only after a few hours of horrible stinging pains that she realized that she had a tattoo, and she soon realized that there was something really changing for her and no matter what she did there was nothing she could do to change it. It was only as her and her brother’s 18th grew closer that she soon began to feel even more changes. Feeling afraid she looked to her brother who she had grew even more closer to over the years, noticing that the pair of them were having the same reaction to whatever was happening to them. It soon became obvious that something was going to happen and soon enough they were going to see it. It was only when their 18th birthday arrived that her element finally decided to show itself, while she was in her home causing the wind to start and became really strong. Lydia was surprised to see that she soon was able to control the wind and make it become stronger, weaker or just plain stop. It was a really big surprise for Lydia to see that she could control the element of Air.
Using what she believed was her control she turned the wind off and just as she was about to tell her parents the news they left, explaining why they had to and she needed to tell her brother Lydia nodded in agreement and said goodbye. Lydia waited for her brother to return and as he bursted in through the door to see his parents, Lydia soon explained that their parents had gotten bad news and they would be back whenever it was possible. So for now it would just be the two of them. It was after that moment that both Lydia and Hayden stepped up to their marks, taking on the roles of responsible adults in the house Lydia and her brother graduated and got jobs really quickly. However soon enough her brother leaving her to join the military she wished him well and goodbye, leaving her the only Darwin left within Evermore City. It was 4 long years while her brother was away; apart of her missing and apart of her wishing he would just come home, it was only when the massacre happened that Lydia had finally had enough worrying for her and his safety she contacted the military and asked them for her brother. But she was unable to make proper contact due to his job.
It was months since the massacre and Lydia still missing her brother she soon got invited to the meeting of the comet, going to meet up with the rest of the Initia she soon felt like someone was watching her turning to see who it was as the comet went over above them. Lydia and everyone else fell in pain; waking up a short time after Lydia noticed her brother was back in town however she also discovered a new element, which only brought her to become scared and run away into the woods. Where she sat down by a near by river causing it to change and do whatever she wanted, Lydia soon learned that she had now gotten the second element of water. As she sat there crying she soon felt her brother become close to her in a comforting way he told her that everything was going to be alright and he was right. Her brother had returned to Evermore and he went on to get another job, one that would be able to keep him within Evermore City and she wouldn’t need to be alone again.
Lydia has now went on to get another job which pays better and it also allows her to have that time away from everything so she can learn to control both of her elements together, hopefully so that she will be able to bring them to become one. As well as making sure that she and her brother are able to live their lives how they want to, but apart of her always wonders if her parents will ever return to Evermore City or even what has become of them.
