Lyla was born in an undersea kingdom where she lived with her family. The Dove family were a gentle family who were well loved among their community, the family were made up of Jonah and Lorianna the parents, and then Nixie, Lyla and Cam. Cam was the eldest child, he was brave and a double of his father; Nixie was a mixture of both parents and then there was Lyla, a soft gentle Naiad who'd be seen making friends with everyone. She was a double of her mother.

From a young age Lyla knew she was different from her siblings, preferring to stay close to her kingdom she enjoyed living in the sea. Not caring for the stories she'd heard growing up of the people on land, Lyla wasn't bothered if she ever saw land or not. She was more focused on just being responsible and respectable to her species, so it was not surprise that while her friends went to peek that Lyla remained with her own. Lyla was known as the good child of the Dove family; never over stepping her boundaries or pushing people Lyla was the perfect Naiad, but others who were jealous just called her a problem to the Naiads.

However as she grew up living with her kind she soon noticed how some people liked her, while others disapproved of her at all times. But that didn't stop her. Carrying on with her life, Lyla grew into a beautiful young woman whose now likely would be found helping her mother or the other Naiads. It was only when she turned 26 that she finally began to show an interest in the world outside of the Naiads, however never brave enough to go and look for herself to see what the fuss was about.

That was until she was 37 traveling up with her mother and siblings, Lyla finally glimpsed at this world outside of the sea. A gentle smile crossed her lips before she'd finally had enough; returning to the kingdom Lyla remained there for the many years, she married a young man around the same age as her and she soon gave birth to her first child not long after who she named Amara. It was only after that when her life began to change; her husband not wanting to live in the kingdom anymore. He soon left her and his daughter behind.

This upset Lyla a lot and she decided to pull away, that was until she met Killian someone who seemed to understand her. Lyla felt like she’d found a friend in him and she soon rejoined her community without a single care. She was a mother and she was not going to allow anyone to stop her being who she wanted to be. Now Lyla is just curious to the world outside as well as inside her kingdom, and all she knows that if she ever gets to step on land she'll be careful and never allow anyone to stop her living life how she wants to.
