 Mason was born in the Auckland, New Zealand. His parents were Alexandria and Raymond Mills who lived within the Dhampir Community. Raymond was a human who had met and fallen in love with Alexandria and after many reservations about her original nature, Alexa had allowed him in his life and their faction. However two months after Mason’s birth Raymond died in an accident and unable to cope with the grief and her new responsibility, Alexandria asked the faction if they could help. The faction agreed as a community they would help raise the child, and each person shared their slice of wisdom with the boy as he grew. As Mason got older he was able to learn a great number of things, anything from cooking to politics, everyone had an input in his life.

 When Mason started school it was with a school which had been specially set up for the supernatural children of Auckland. Mason went to school with Phoenix's and Nephilim, but as children none of the politics mattered, they were all friends. Each day he tried with the other Dhampirs in the dojo after coming home from school and immersed himself in embracing all aspects of his species.  Growing up quickly Mason remained close to a  handful of friends he had made in school and the group had a lot of fun, going to places and living a fulfilling life. When he was 15 years old he was coming home from school one afternoon and his attention was drawn to a young girl beside the road, she was hardly around 6 but he felt that she was a Dhampir and it seemed evident she had been abandoned by her family.

 Mason didn’t know child, nor had he ever seen her before but he took her back with him to the community and after approval from the Ambassador his mother took the girl in. For the first time in his life Mason felt like he had someone else he needed to protect. His little sister, Emma, never tended to be more than a few steps behind Mason where they went and he was sure if she could she would have attended lessons with him. However those school lessons ended when Mason turned 18, not only did he graduate high school, but he also had his weapon claiming ceremony. His weapon ceremony came first, so with his family - and the Dhampir Community Mason gathered with them at the Dojo. When he arrived there was hundreds of weapons in front of him and he would have to handle them all until he found the weapon which had chosen him. Mason had started with the swords as that was what he felt drawn too and after handling a few of them his weapon finally found him. A Tachi sword was that it was, it was a form of Katana but is believed to be older than the Katana itself; Mason couldn’t have been more thrilled with the weapon and his colour affinity turned out to be Green. So when Mason practised his first piece of Rune Casting the runes shone Green on the blade of his Tachi. After that he graduated high school and was set loose on the world, but he felt he couldn’t leave Auckland, not until Emma had grown.

 He and Emma grew closer and Mason found being a big brother easy, he’d do anything to protect his sister. What turned that life upside down was the return of Emma’s real parents. They wanted to take her back, but neither Emma nor Mason was wanting her to go back and there was nothing the Ambassador could do. So upon instruction from his mother Mason took Emma and they left Auckland. For 15 years they stayed away, he and Emma travelled the world his mother sending money as they went.

 Mason got to see the world in a whole new, very bright light. It was all so surreal and Mason got to learn so much as the years passed.On the request of his friend, he finally landed in Evermore City with Emma, the community very much like the one he left behind in Auckland. He and Emma were still in touch with his mother but they both felt like Evermore would be a great place to stay and explore for a while. Mason started working as a teacher there, enjoying the company of the children and enjoying meeting the various communities that lived in the city. He was glad to start this new chapter of his life in the city and the fact that he has his sister’s company made the adventure all the more sweeter.
