Born and raised in Paris, France, Nick was the first born son of two very well-known families called the Fernandez and Martinez’s; although the two families had been at war with one another for thousands of years, Nick’s parents never allowed that to affect how they raised their son. Considering their love for one another wasn’t welcomed by everyone in their families, there was no doubt that life with two battling families was going to be a challenge, especially when his parents were forbidden to see each other. This only caused things to become a whole lot harder as they tried to raise their son in two different worlds. It began to seem to Nick’s parents that life for them and their son wasn’t going to get any easier.

That was until the young couple came up with an idea to hopefully put an end to their families’ feud, but they knew too well that their idea was going to be a lot harder than they had thought it to be, with a young baby to take care off. However they weren’t willing to give up on their plans so Adalyn and Corbin were left with only one option; to get married without their families’ blessings.

As they began to consider many ideas on what would be best for Nick, they soon realised that if they were to get married without their families’ blessings, they’d need to take Nick with them. They didn’t want something to happen that could damage either family’s relationship with their son. It quickly became obvious that they would also have to take him with them.

Their plans of getting married were soon put on hold when they were forced to flee after a horrific battle broke out between their families’ and hunters. As they fled, they began to realize that running would only cause people to believe they were weak. Adalyn and Corbin wasted no time in returning to fight with their families’, but unknown to them at the time that one of the hunter’s spies had seen them returning with a young child. No one ever would’ve expected that Nick would become their next target. The young child was kidnapped and used to lure his family in so they could be killed.

This caused the two enemy families’ to finally come together as one as they worked with one another to free Nick from his kidnappers. The two families’ realized that by working together it made them stronger and as they put an end to the hunters and saved Nick, it got them to finally realise the true happiness and love that Corbin and Adalyn felt for each other.

After all, if they hadn’t seen it by working together as one family united, then they would have never seen the true love the two shared. Thankfully they did notice and the Fernandez and Martinez families’ wasted no time in putting their differences aside, finally coming together to watch the two people that had helped bring them together marry. It began to look as though life for these two families were finally beginning to look up.

Well that was until Adalyn and Corbin broke the news to their families that they wanted their son to grow up in a place that was safer for him. They spoke with their families for hours in hopes of coming to some sort of agreement and an agreement was finally made. Adalyn and Corbin were going to take their son to live away from Paris, though they knew it would hurt their families to see the main reason why the families had come together in the first place leave. Adalyn and Corbin wanted to do what was best for Nick so the new family bought a beautiful little vineyard in the countryside of France.

Life for Nick finally began to look as if it was finally stabilizing and his parents finally came around to teaching him about the supernatural world he’d one day be living in. It seemed to everyone within Nick’s family that life for this young child was never going to be the same again, especially considering Nick was picking up on what his parents and family were teaching him a lot quicker than they would’ve expected. By the time Nick was eight-years-old, he had basically learned everything his family could possibly teach him about the supernatural world of shifters. Though it was when Nick began to ask about the dark side of the supernatural world that his family began to worry that maybe the events of the past had rubbed off on him the wrong way.

That’s what they thought until Nick explained that he wanted to know everything he could so it would benefit him in the future, and considering the two families knew all too well that there was a lot more than they were letting on, they decided that maybe it was best for them to let on they never heard him. However, brushing it off and pretending didn’t exactly go to plan when Nick came across Vampires, and when they began to teach him things that his family preferred to leave a mystery. It began to look like Nick was the type of child that never liked to give up on something until he got what he wanted, and who could blame him after the damage his family had done when he was just a baby.

Nick knew that he also wanted to attend a school like a normal child would as well and get the type of education he hoped his family would be proud of him for. Nick began to focus more on his education rather than the supernatural education he’d been learning from his parents, but his teachers and family quickly began to notice that he was learning at an extraordinary rate compared to the other children. It began to look like Nick was just too advanced for a normal school, so when his parents were told about a school that would best suit him and give him the type of challenges that would best suit him, his parents wasted no time in moving Nick to the school that was suggested. Nick quickly got settled in and made friends that were also able to keep up in a steady conversation with him.

All his families’ worries finally disappeared…..

Well that was until Nick began to get threatening letters, and concerned that it was the spies that were working for the hunters they’d put an end to when Nick was a child, his family began to consider moving him again. Unable to stand the fact that his family was trying to wrap him up in bubble wrap, Nick quickly put his foot down and demanded that his parents let him fight for the life he wanted. His family knew that Nick was willing to take a massive risk just so he could be normal and have a somewhat normal life. So they came up with an idea that would hopefully give Nick some backup if he needed it, and that was when some of Nick’s talented cousin’s went to join him in his school.

Although unpleased with his families’ choices of giving him bodyguards, Nick tried his best to ignore the fact that his family was being over-protective, though unknown to him at the time he’d one day be glad of his family looking out for him. It seemed that the day his family was dreading came a lot quicker than expected, so when Nick was abducted from his school by people that were unknown to near enough everyone in his family, there was no doubt that this time whoever had taken him had the upper hand, at least, that’s what his family believed until they saw Nick stumble through the vineyard gates as if he’d been through two world wars.

They were curious to know how he’d managed to escape and get back to them after months of trying to find him. Though it seemed that Nick was just too traumatized to even think about it and by the time he did finally come around to telling them what had happened, it was obvious Nick was no longer that sweet little boy that his family had raised. In fact, he was stronger and ready to take on the world, but considering he was only in his early teens when everything happened to him, there was no doubt Nick would need therapy to get over his horrific life growing up. His family tried to get him to go into therapy in hopes of getting his life back on track. Though it seemed that Nick had no interest in what his family wanted for him anymore. In fact, all Nick really cared about was getting away from France.

However, his family refused to let him leave France and go somewhere else to continue his studies. It wasn’t until Nick had begun to change more, that his family began to fear for his and their safety, especially considering his way of thinking and living was much darker than it had originally been, but unknown to them at the time that it was just his way of dealing with everything.

His family never would’ve expected that Nick was beginning to go through the changes of becoming a shifter and as Nick left one school to continue his journey into adulthood by going to college, Nick began to wonder if living with his family was just getting a little bit too dramatic for him. Considering this, he remembered that he never gave up on something until he got it. He wasted no time in moving out of his family home and moving into an apartment closer to his college, though unknown to him at the time, he was making the biggest mistake of his life.

Determined to make his new life work he decided to get a job and he worked while attending college. It began to look like life for Nick was finally going to take a new turn and he soon met a beautiful girl named Olivia. He never would’ve expected that it would be her that pulled him free from the darkness that had held him for a couple of long painful years, and although it seemed that these two were going to be inseparable, their happiness was short-lived when Olivia discovered that she was pregnant.

Considering she knew that her parents would never allow her to keep the baby and remain in a loving relationship with a guy whose family were well-known. She was left with no choice other than to part ways with Nick once their children had been born. Nick tried his best to fight and keep their love going but it seemed that fate just wasn’t on their side. When Olivia gave birth to a beautiful baby boy and girl, life for the heart-broken two was made worse when Olivia’s family took her away. All Nick could do is watch her disappear from his and their children’s lives. That darkness that she’d freed him from slowly began to come back.

Though Nick was determined to fight against the darkness and beat it once and for all. He wasted no time in getting his head back into his education and though he was now a single father of two little twins, Nick knew for a fact that he wasn’t going to let them fall victims to the life he’d once grew up with. Though he knew that there was another challenge he would have to face before he could be sure that he’d be the best father he could be to his children.

Unable to cope with the stress of college and being a first-time father, he called upon the help of his cousin and it was unknown to him at the time that most of the stress was due to the shifter tap. Nick never would’ve expected that the burning feeling he was having on his arm was in fact, his shifter tattoo making an appearance, but he was unable to worry about the changes that was happening in his life when his exams hit.

Nick was left stunned at how stressful life was as a single parent, and considering he had to deal with more stress once he’d moved to America to attend university. It began to look like history was repeating itself only from a single parent’s point of view. When Nick finally did manage to finish his exams, he wasted no time on asking his family to babysit while he went and joined in with the celebrations of graduating college, but sadly his celebrations were short-lived when he was brought to his knees in pain.

There was no doubt that Nick should’ve listened to his family when it came to watching out for the shifter signs. Although he wasn’t able to dwell on it too much as he knew he needed to get out of sight before anyone questioned what was wrong with him. Nick escaped through the back exit and made his way toward his cousin’s house. Though he was once again brought down in gut wrenching pain, he lay in a ditch as his screams echoed throughout the nearby lands.

Nick never would’ve expected that his family would arrive within minutes, unable to even get a single word out as they helped him. It was obvious that only they would be the people that knew what to do, especially since each of them had gone through this change at one point or another in their lives. Nick was taken to people that began a sort of chanting ritual over him. Nick couldn’t help but keep his gazed locked on his little brother who looked horrified to see the pain he was in, and considering he knew too well that his brother would also go through the change, he wished that his family had left him at home where he wouldn’t see the pain he’s also have to go through.

As he felt all the pains that were lashing throughout his body slowly disappear, and as he felt a sort of calm and relaxed feeling brush over him, Nick finally forced himself to accept what was happening. As the animal that chose him bonded with him, there was no doubt that Nick was left surprised when he realized that the animal that had chosen him was a beautiful tiger. As he stood up in his new form, he finally leaped into exploring mode.

It seemed that Nick’s first thought was to see his two little children that were in his cousin’s house nearby, however, unable to go too close to them as he knew he’d likely scare them, Nick backed off and returned back to the people that had saved him. Je showed a great deal of thanks toward these people. He knew all too well that the next thing in his life was to say goodbye to France and make his journey to Colorado, and as daylight came and Nick finally turned back to his human form, that was what he did.

It was obvious from the look on his face that Nick didn’t want to leave. At least, that was until his parents shared the news that his brother would be going with him too, surprised to know that his little brother wanted to be with him. Nick knew from that point onward that he was going to be okay, after all, his family weren’t the type of people to leave him helpless and alone, and considering he was also going to a place that was filled with supernatural people just like him. There was no doubt that Nick would never need to fear again, so Nick said a final farewell to his beloved family and made the journey with his brother and children to a city called Evermore in Colorado.

The life that Nick had wanted his whole life was now right in front of him and as he moved into his new home that was filled with everything he’d need, Nick quickly began to get his new American life on track as his brother went about doing his own thing like getting himself into school. It began to look like Nick would never need to worry about his brother, and long as he followed in the same footsteps he did and didn’t manage to fall into trouble every time something came up, there was no doubt that his brother would make a great shifter one day.

However, as the years went on and life in Evermore City finally began to feel as though it was actually home, Nick was soon brought to shock as a massive comet struck the place he called home, falling to the ground in excruciating pain before he finally passed out with the rest of his faction.

It wasn’t until hours later that Nick woke up to discover that there was something different about him and as he glanced around, he heard the sound of a female’s voice echoing throughout the clearing. Nick wasted no time in getting up and going to find out what was going on, but as he arrived to discover that the female was also confused as to what had happened to them. Nick began to fear that maybe this comet had harmed his family too. It was obvious that Nick wasn’t too pleased that his family could’ve also been affected by this massive rock.

Though when he turned into a bald eagle and began to fly around, all Nick really wanted to do was laugh as he realized from that point on he’d be able to turn into different animals and as everyone was told to follow the female that had been shouting to see if everyone was alright, Nick wasted no time on following her. At least, that was until he saw where the comet had landed, and fearful that his family was in danger, Nick wanted to fly home and wasted no time on planning to leave Evermore City, but that all changed when he was reassured by another faction member that they were safe.

Nick knew too well that he didn’t want to return to France and that was when he decided to fight against his fears and actually continue on with his life he’d managed to build. As the day came when he graduated university and began working as a forensic science, he knew that his dream he had of being a good father was finally able to come true.

Now Nick still lives within Evermore City where he continues to work the job he’d worked so hard to get and although he knows that his family will never travel to Evermore City and try to start a fresh slate with him, he just hopes that one day that they’ll build up the courage to at least come and visit him and his family.
