Name: Reign Michaels
Species: Human
Age: 33
Supernatural Standing: Member of the Privy Council
Occupation: Hospital Director of Evermore General
Face Claim: Claire Holt

Victoria and Donovan Michaels welcomed their first child, a girl, in the early morning of October 2nd, 1987 after a series of miscarriages forced the two to lose hope all together. Reign was their miracle baby and they treated her and spoiled her the way they felt she deserved to be.

Throughout her childhood, Reign went from babysitter to babysitter, each one leaving due to the little girls unruly behavior. Her parents, however, didn't discipline her for the behaviour she had towards others. Instead, they continued to shower her with love and toss her from nanny to nanny. As she matured, however, her attitude towards others improved. She still has this feisty side to her, though, something that stuck from her younger years.

Her parents were both surgeons in the local hospital, her father being the head of surgery so the two missed out on important things going on in little Reign's life, things such as her first steps, her first words; things that parents shouldn't miss. Her father's job forced him to move at one point and that's how the small family of three found themselves in Evermore.

Her dad, Donovan, already had quite a bit of supernatural knowledge before moving to the city in Colorado and in order to keep his family from harm's way because in his eyes no one could be trusted, he mainly taught his daughter how to protect herself and briefly explained to her of the other species she might deal with throughout the years that would come. In the beginning, she thought his words were a joke but she found out on her own that he was speaking the truth and that the city of Evermore was split into several different factions, all of which held a different kind.

Her parents soon returned to their jobs in Evermore General and the only things they did ever witness after moving was her high school graduations years down the road and the moment she stepped off the stage, they were off to work. Though she resented the two for hardly being a part of her life, Reign still loved them more than anything. They were probably the best two figures a person could look up to and because of them, she began to have this adoration for the medical field, specifically Neurology.

The youngest Michaels family member managed to graduate high school early at the age of 16 and right after she did, the road to becoming a Neurosurgeon began. She attended community college for four years and Medical school for another four years; a total of eight years together and throughout those eight years, she gave it nothing but her all. Anyone who truly knew her saw how much following in her parents footsteps meant to her.

Reign spent another six years in neurosurgical residency training and at the age of 30, she was state licensed as well as board certified which helped her stand out in her field.

On the night of her graduation before she began her new career, Reign anxiously looked out into the crowd of family and friends. When she didn't see her parents, however, it saddened her. She figured they were too busy to attend and unlike her high school days, this time really angered her. She plastered on a smile throughout the ceremony and afterwards, she planned to blow up her mother and fathers phones with her blood boiling.

Before she did, she realized she had a missed call from an unknown number. Luckily, the number left a voicemail but what she'd hear next would break her into a million pieces.

The call was from the hospital, telling her that her parents had gotten into a gruesome car accident and before the paramedics could reach the scene, the vehicle her parents were in had blown up with the two unconscious inside. At that point she felt numb, she didn't even want to go see the corpses of her mother and father after that.. Reign didn't even attend their funeral weeks later. It was just too much for her. She couldn't even live in the home she shared with them because it brought back too many memories and with any mention of them, she'd walk away from the conversation before she started balling her eyes out. It was all just too much.

She started working in the hospital a month later after having some time to grieve and though people sent sympathetic looks her way, they said nothing and she was grateful.

Reign put her all into her work and after three years, her work was recognized by the higher ups and she was made the Hospital Director. Though the job had quite a few challenges with it, she managed to get through it all in order to keep the hospital, alone, at the top and so far, the hospital had been running smoothly with her direction.
