Romeo lived in what he thought was a normal life, although most people compared his life very differently to what other people’s normal lives are like. He had everything he always wanted, got his own way, manipulated people in doing he’s deeds and wishes. He was the oldest child of the Deveraux family, being the one who would one day take over the family company that brought them a lot of wealth and money. Romeo has a twin brother Jamie although being older than 2 minutes and has two younger sisters Aurora and Clarissa who were twins too and a younger brother Xander who was the middle child. He was closest to Aurora, and Jamie, the three of them used to get up to a lot of trouble and used to cause havoc together. Their parents were too busy with their neither work to bother worrying nor thinking about what their children were up to. They had spent a lot of nights in nightclubs, a different club each night and every night they had brought back with them a different person. Sneaking into the high-class apartment block they lived in. Romeo used to bring back a different girl each night, not bothering to know their names as it was only a one night stand that was all it was to him.

He was a bad boy, a player someone who seemed arrogant and cocky although he was very protective over his younger siblings, he was most protective of Aurora as he knew that she was hurt most easily. She was very much like him in many ways; she was a bad girl, rebellious. Although things had started to change with Romeo and his twin brother, they had started going through changes. One morning he had woken up to searing pain that shoot through his lower back.  As the pain came to a stop he had checked his back in a nearby mirror and noticed a tattoo had formed where the pain originated from. He was confused of where and how it had gotten there tattooed on his skin, he went to tell his brother although noticed that his brother was experiencing the same ain and the same tattoo that was now on their lower backs. He was sitting down at the breakfast table, being the first down he was nursing from a hangover; he had looked at a glass of water that was placed in front of him. As he concentrated looking at the glass over the water, he watched as the water in the glass was rising up high and high in the glass, it was rising far up. Romeo had thought was it was only him being still hung over and that it was real, he heard a gasp that had escaped from someone’s lips. He turned to look at his mother who had walked into the room, to see what he was doing.

That morning his parents had set down him and his four other siblings, it was then when they had told them the truth and all of the secrets that they had kept from them for all this time. He had never understood why his parents were always so secretive of their past and their family. They had told them all of the truth, that they were not a normal family and that they had come from a long line of powerful people, initia’s. They were species from the supernatural world, which were able to control 1 of the elements. It was in their blood and what they are destined to be and that Romeo and Jamie were tapping into their element. It was that day that he had packed all of their belongings and had made the big move back to Evermore City a place where supernatural creatures resided.

They had moved back to the initia territory, into a big house. Things were very different for Romeo after being far away from night clubs and the life that he used to live in New York, he had to drive to the city or get a car to take him to and from the city. He was able to develop and explore his water element. As years passed his siblings had tapped into their abilities although things had become difficult and had caused some strain in his family. The Magister of the initia faction had died, everyone knew that when the Magister dies the next one is picked through the spirit affinity. That night he and his family had found out that the new Magister was Aurora, his younger sister. Things had started to change, his sister had changed becoming the mature and responsible adult, and had stopped going out clubbing and had stopped doing everything that they used to get up to together. Although Romeo was still his usual player self.

The night of the massacre was when everything had started to change, he was at home with his siblings although Clarissa had left them a couple months ago prior to the massacre. His parents were in the city, meeting a few business meetings. Aurora had received a phone call from some faction ambassador. He had remembered how she froze after hearing what the person had told them. He had learnt that there was a massacre that had happened in the city and his parents had died as well.  After the massacre he had left with Jamie, leaving Aurora behind, they needed to get away from the city for a while to get over what had happened to their parents. Romeo and Jamie had travelled country to country, enjoying life, the hot and sunny countries, all of the fun that they could get up to. Almost a year had passed and it was time that Romeo and Jamie had come back home, to where their siblings were….
