When Saige and Sebastian were born, it was nothing short of a surprise. Their parents wanted the birth of their child to be a surprise. They had told doctors millions of times to not disclose to the anything about their baby. But, they didn't expect the receive the miracle of twins. They were overjoyed.
Raising twins wasn't exactly easy. They always found themselves in all kinda of mischief. They always helped each other out as well. Having each others backs was what they were known for. Not a single challenge could stand in their way as long as the two of them were side by side.
One night, during their stay with an Uncle while their parents were on a business trip, something unthinkable happened. While their babysitter Allie was helping Saige and Sebastian with some math homework, something sparked in the electrical wires in the hallway. A fire started almost immediately. Frightened, and unknowing of where the fire extinguisher was, Allie grabbed the kids and ran outside. Calling 911, Allie was frantic, telling the kids to not move. THinking they were safe, Allie ran to the house next store to see if they had a fire extinguisher. When she came back, only Sebastian stood where she left the two children. Terrified, she asked Sebastian where Saige had gone. All he did was point to the house. Allie ran toward the house only to find Saige running out the door carrying a small box. Inside was a small mouse that she had been keeping away from her parents.
Allie was relieved, until she noticed the look of pain that was slowly emerging on Saige's face. That was when Allie realized that Saige would have had to run through the fire in order to get to the bedroom the twins had shared. Allie looks at Saige up and down, seeing now that burns were placed on her arms and legs. Not long after firetrucks, police, and ambulances soon arrived. There was not a lot of damage made to the house, but Saige was severely burned on her arms and legs. Saige was never really one to be aware of her scaring. It never stopped her. Bullies would pick on her sure, but she never let that get to her. She had good friends and Sebastian by her side. This helped her to become the strong person she was.
Concerts are always a must see for teenagers. And that was no different for these two teens. Especially when Sebastian's favorite band was playing a secret show at a town close by. Saige made sure that he wouldn't know about it either. It had only been a week since she had gotten her license, but that wasn't going to stop her from rebelling against her parents rules and sneaking out with her brother for this surprise. And Sebastian was stoked! They only had to drive an hour to get to the destination. But, and hour was a little too long.
About half way through the drive, their car was hit dead on by a drunk driver. Saige, covered her face when the shards of glass from the windshield of their car started to fly at their faces. Sebastian's eyes however, were open for just long enough of a period to cause damage to his sight. Saige always felt that it was her fault that Sebastian got hurt. It was her idea to go to the concert. Her idea to take the short cut. Her idea. This anxiety and regret caused Saige so much pain and inner turmoil that she soon began to tear her hair out of her head. This is called Trichotillomania.
It has been almost two years now since the car accident, and Saige has started a new life away from her past. There are times when her anxiety gets the best of her, but it has not stopped her from living her life.
College had started, and the twins decided to go to separate schools. During a class trip, Saige found herself mesmerized by Evermore City, not far from her college campus. Maybe it was because the comet was so beautiful that night. Or the strange light that appeared afterwards. All Saige knew was that something kept her drawn to the city. It took her some time to figure out why.
After some time, Saige became introduced to the life of a shifter. It wasn't unusual to her at first. A moon tattoo showing up on her wrist did freak her out at first. But she thought that maybe it was a drunk adventure that she partook in and didn't really think much of the occurrence. It wasn't until a week later that things started to get weird for her. Concerned about her health, she went to see a doctor. But they just prescribed her with sleeping medication. But nothing helped. Not knowing what else to do, she searched the internet for answers. And it lead her to Evermore City.
Concerned and alone, Saige went through the shift. She has distanced herself from her family and friends, not knowing what to do about the situation. Though she knows now, after many bizarre meetings with some strange people, what she is, she is trying her best to keep herself true to who she really is. A girl of adventure and creativity.
