Name: Samuel LeBeau
Age: 27
Species: Initia
Family: N/A
Element: Water and Earth
Face Claim: Chris Wood
Samuel was born into the LeBeau family on the date of March 15, 1990. His parents, Kayla and Roger LeBeau, lived a lavish life of luxury in the city of Sydney, Australia. His mother was the kindergarten teacher at the local school for nearly eight long years, and his father was a rather successful businessman in the city. However that all changed when the LeBeau family won the lottery two months before the birth of their son. After their son was born, the LeBeau family bought a large yacht and decided to travel the world’s oceans and see many of the earth’s beauty. Even though his mother had given up her teaching position at the school in Sydney, she put all of her knowledge into homeschooling her son in both general studies as well as the studies of the supernatural world. Samuel knew that he wasn’t an ordinary child from the day he was able to understand what his mother was teaching him.
As the years passed, young Samuel grew up to be a rather smart individual. He loved the sparkling blue waters they traveled over everyday, and was amazed by all the marine life that he was able to see along the way. At the age of seven, Samuel began learning all he could about marine life; the habitats of the animals, their eating patterns, and even their migration routes. His parents were overjoyed by his enthusiasm towards the marine life and all the mysteries it held. Even though he was very interested towards the study of oceanography and marine life biology, Samuel never once turned away the teachings of his mother. She continued to teach him about the supernatural, as well as multiple languages and everything he would need to get his diploma when he went to do his grade twelve equivalent.
While diving in the depths of the ocean on March 20, 2006; Samuel received the first sign of his Initia heritage. As he went deeper into the depths, a searing pain ripped through the back of the young male, his screams echoing as he inhaled water with each passing second that his mouth was opened. Just when he thought he was going to drown and die deep below the ocean’s surface, the water around him began to swirl and form an upward spiral that swiftly but cautiously brought him to the surface of the water. When he finally reached the top of the water, his parents pulled him out allowing the mark of the Initia to finish from the safety of their yacht. Once the pain had subsided and he awoke from the slumber he had fallen into, his parents informed him of what had transpired and that he should now learn to control his element before it gets out of control.
As the years went by, Samuel became rather talented in his control over the water element. He had always had a special connection with the waters around him, but thanks to the Initia side of him, he now had a stronger connection with it. Now at the age of twenty-two, the young Initia had made his way through college to become a Marine Biologist, and got a job with a young female Marine Biologist by the name of Lorena Mitchell. After he moved away from his parents to pursue a career in Marine Biology, his parents Kayla and Roger had moved back to their birthplace of Evermore, Colorado. Samuel promised his parents that they would see him again before leaving to follow his career of Marine Biology, and he did just that. On May 10, 2014; Samuel traveled to the city of Evermore with his fiancee Lorena.
They fell in love when he saved her from a school of sharks using his water element. Of course he knew that he was not supposed to use his abilities in front of mortals but he had to risk it. What he didn’t know was that Lorena was also an Initia member, except her element was fire which didn’t exactly work under water. Once he had opened up about his element to her, she did the same, showing him her element. After that everything fell into place and they went on one date after another until Samuel finally got the nerve to ask her for her hand in marriage and she was more than happy to say yes. So now that they were in Evermore it was time to surprise his parents, and surprised they were.
They were to be married on May 14, 2014; but life had a way of throwing curveballs at the happy. They were at the church when it happened. They didn’t know what was going on before the door to the church swung wide open, and in came two snarling lycanthropes. The massacre of Evermore City would definitely be scarred in the back of his mind forever, it was the day Samuel would lose everything and everyone he cared for. The lycanthropes tore through the church and ran right for the five people at the front of the church. The LeBeau family fought as best as they could to survive the ferocious attack, but it was to no avail. The priest, his fiancee, his mother, and father all perished at the ferocity of the lycans; Samuel himself didn’t think he would make it. He had three large scratches down his back and was bleeding out; and he remained conscious long enough to see his family’s demise before blacking out.
He was rescued by a man from the Initia territory in Evermore, and was brought to his small log cottage deep in the Initia territory away from all prying eyes. Once the male helped him recover, he told Samuel that his name was Michael and he would like to train him to be better. Feeling weak from both the scars on his back, as well as unable to stop the lycans from killing his family; he quickly agreed to the terms set by Michael and dedicated himself to his training. His training included: archery, sword-fighting, hand-to-hand combat, and elemental training to conclude the list. He had to learn quickly and Michael was not easy on the damaged Initia, day in and day out they trained both body and mind.
Nearly nine months of training later and young Samuel had transformed himself into a butt-kicking Initia with the power to handle himself in tough situations. However he was not prepared for the night of February 6, 2015; the night that the comet struck Evermore City. Samuel had decided to watch the meteorological event happening over the eternal city from the safety of his own place in the Initia Territory, however staying at home didn’t mean that he was safe from the events that were about to take place. As the comet crash landed within the limits of the city, a shockwave of pure supernatural energy surged through the entire city, and most likely covered the entire globe. Mere seconds after the shockwave of energy filled the city, Samuel collapsed upon the floor of his balcony in agonizing pain. The tribal tattoo on his lower back emanating with power as it did when his water element was unlocked, however this time his water element was not the cause of the pain. His eyes glowed a vivid green and the plants on the balcony began growing and blossoming as if it were on steroids. It was clear to the young Initia then that he had somehow tapped into the element of earth. Curious as to whether or not the earth element replaced his water one, Samuel attempted the use of his water element; and sure enough he still had control over the water which meant he had gained another element and it was going to need to be perfected.
Once again the months passed by as the young man trained his new-found element with every passing day. He even began multi-training his elements by combining them together creating an even more powerful ability than that of just water or just earth. Soon enough Samuel had heard of a peace treaty signing that would hopefully end the violence within the city. How one moment could change an entire outlook on hope was beyond his understanding, but he wouldn’t let his narrow views ruin the peace of an entire city; and he did that by staying away from civilization. He closed himself from contact with the citizens of the city after the death of his family; other than the man who trained him. However, after living alone in the Initia territory for six months, Samuel decided to dust off one of his suits and go to the event for the citizens of the city. He wasn’t entirely hoping for any new friends, but he wouldn’t turn them away if they attempted to converse with him. When the lantern lighting ceremony began, Samuel lit two of them and held on tightly until the time came to let go. One was lit for his mother and father, and the other was lit for his ex-fiancee who perished at the hands of the lycans during the massacre of May 2014. However once the lanterns raised so high in the sky, they began bursting into flames and raining down upon the citizens who sent them up. As panic filled the event area, Samuel kept a level head and used his element of water to extinguish any flames that spread throughout the location. What he wasn’t expecting though was the news that came from the ambassador of the Shifter faction, the news that the entire city was trapped within a dome. What would become of the city of Evermore, and what would become of the young Samuel LeBeau? Only time will hold the answers.
