Shauna O’Leary was the one and only daughter of Sinead and Liam; and although she was known as one of the best Irish dancers that lived in Ireland. There was just something in her life that seemed to keep her back from reaching her full potential, but unknown to her at the time that it was thanks to her ancestors. Shauna decided that maybe it would be best if she tried to find out more about them, and even though it took her some time to find out all the information she needed. She never allowed that to stop her from finding out everything she possibly could about her family. Although upon finding all information she needed.
She was left stunned to discover that her parents originally came from a faction in a place known as Evermore City, and as she continued to read and found out that there were pieces of her family’s history missing. Shauna began to wonder what her family was hiding. At least, that was until she confronted her parents one day and demanded to get told every little thing about their history and since her parents knew that this day would come sooner or later. They wasted no time on telling her, but as her parents explained that they were from one of two shifter clans that once worked together.
There was just something about what her parents were telling her that didn’t sit right with her, but as they continued to explain to her and finally told her that their side of the shifter faction died off. Shauna was left heartbroken and unsure of what her future could be, at least, that was until she decided to travel to the United States in hopes of finding answers, and when she came to the city that her family was telling her about. There was no doubt that Shauna really should try to reach out to the shifter's that lived there, but as she began to remember that the two had broken apart centuries ago.
Shauna decided that she’d keep her distance, and when she finally managed to find a small cottage on the outskirts of the city to move into until she got on her feet. It was obvious that she really should’ve thought her plan through better before moving to the states, after all, it wasn’t like she could just magically wave her hand and appear back in her beautiful home of Ireland, but as she began to settle into her new American life and managed to finish college on time to land herself a full-time job in one of the restaurants as an assistant chief, and as she began to work and save all the money she earned to one day open her own business.
It wasn’t until she reached turned 20 that she finally opened her own business and since her family had come into some wealth while she was living the American dream. It began to look as though her life was finally looking up. At least, that’s what she believed until she began to feel a burning sensation, and as she remembered her parents were also shifter's. There was no doubt that she was also being tapped, but as the burning became uncomfortable around the lower part of her back. It was obvious that she really should’ve listened more often when her parents wanted to explain more about the shifter's, but after a week or so, she woke up one morning from a terrible vivid nightmare, and as she stood with her back facing a mirror and holding one in her hand too.
She finally saw a small moon tattoo that had etched it's way onto her skin, and when she came into contact with another shifter with the same tattoo, she began to fear that something bad was going to happen. At least, that’s what she felt until she came across a moon shifter clan leader who took her and the other person in, and as the two of them went through the ritual that joined their souls with their clan. The two soon felt as though there was something else they had in common, and that was because this other person was her half-sister, but unknown to them at the time that they were sisters. Shauna wasted no time in parting ways with the other girl, and although she was nervous during her first shift. She knew that she wanted to not only to prove to herself but to the others that she was shifter material.
However, as her first shift progressed and she discovered that it was more painful than she’d ever anticipated. Although when she ended up being surrounded by smoke and she screamed out in pain. There was no doubt that she really wasn’t ready for this step in her life, but as the smoke disappeared and she noticed that she had paws of some sort. It wasn’t until she finally rose to her feet that she realized that she’d began to take the form of a panther, and as she looked at the mess she’d left herself in. Shauna decided that maybe it would be best to try to turn back to her human form, but as she tried and her change just kept turning her more into an animal.
That was when she realized that maybe it would be better if she just continued on, and although it was painful and she didn’t want to deal with the pain any longer. She was left determined to become the animal within, and when she finally did manage to shift into her animal form then back to her human form. She began to wonder how her new friend was doing, and without even a single doubt in her mind. She made her way to the place her friend was shifting, but when she saw a slithering python wondering around the ground. It was obvious that her new friend had a lot more talent than she did, and as she watched with nothing but pure envy. The smoke from before returned, but this time like a roaring blanket that was ready to fight, and when the smoke died down once more and she saw herself in her full shifter form.
She wasted no time on leaping out from behind the bushes and tackling her friend, and since the pair of them knew each other by a look that they gave each other from the moment the pair of them met. There was no fear or shock from either side, but when they finally turned back to normal and they both agreed to stay close but still live their own lives. It was obvious that these two really should’ve been given a hint as how they felt so bonded to one another, but as the years went on and the rumors of a comet going to strike Evermore City. The moon shifter’s waited to see what their leader wanted to do, and as they all soon traveled to the city and got taken down by the pains the comet had brought. It wasn’t until they all woke up that they realized that the sun and moon shifters were finally one again.
However, unable to celebrate as they all went to see where the comet had landed. It wasn’t until they’d all arrived at the dam that they saw the impact it actually had on the city, and even though it was tightly wedged into the dam tight enough. There was always a tiny piece of fear about what if the comet ever broke free, but as everyone once again went about their everyday lives until the Isle of Skye fell It was obvious that life for the warriors of peace was never going to be the same again, and as Shauna got to see the damage that had got caused to the Guard and the Isle. There was a tiny piece of her that feared for everyone that lived within the supernatural city and outside of it, but unable to really worry too much when a massive invisible barrier wrapped around the city like a magical prison. There was no doubt that from that point. Life for those who lived within Evermore City was NEVER going to be the same again.
