Troy lived and grew up (Was raised?) on a rural farm in Texas, with his mother and father. Working on the farm meant long and hard hours, helping out his parents all he could, to make life their life that bit easier. He would spend his days being homeschooled by his mother, then the rest of the time helping around the farm. He would go to other farms, spending time with his friends. Going to parties or social gatherings. Troy would spend a lot of his free time with his best friend Maria. One day Troy was going through his parents computer, playing computer games and studying. Whilst using the computer he stumbled upon his parents emails. A curious child he was, he opened up some of them until he saw one that came from Evermore City. A city that he never heard of before Troy Went back to his parents to find out what it was, he was curious. His parents just reassured him they had high school friends back in Evermore City, nothing for him to worry about. Troy soon found himself become obsessed with finding more about this city after his parents told him not to worry about it. He couldn’t get it off his mind, there was something unusual about it. Evermore city sounded unusual. Not normal. With how technology was he waited several hours for a webpage to load, trying to find out more about this city. Since there was so little about it. It was until his parents let in, they all sat down together where he was told the truth. His parents were part of a special group called initia who were able to use and manipulate one of the elements. Fire, earth, air, and water. Being as trusting as he was he accepted this full-heartedly. On this acceptance however brought a promise he had to make: never tell anyone of this city, or their secret, to anyone.
As time went on Troy would play with an array of items to try and find his element. He’d attempt to light candles, lift rocks, grow plants or manipulate cups of water, However much to his dismay, it wasn’t until the age of 17 that his talents began to show and a small burning sensation that meant only one thing, his Initia mark. Troy decided to keep it from his parents, not wanting them to know right now. He knew if they did, that they would pester him for what his element was Troy found himself able to move streams of water, manipulating it. Moving objects with the water. Troy began training with his element each day, progressing more and more, until he put his skills to the teadt a year later. Helping out his parents during the drought seasons until rain came. Surprisingly he did exorfinsry helping to save the cops where without his help his parents would have lost half the crops. None of the near by farmers questioned it luckily. However over using his element took a toll on him, making himself bedridden for days or up to a week until the migraines were gone.
Troy was in the middle of his sitting his SAT, and other tests. He was doing well in school, his parents urged him to make his own choices. To do something that he wanted to do. To follow his dream, to wherever he wanted. He wanted to explore the world, most importantly he wanted to go to Evermore City. He found himself packing up his stuff along with Maria, his best friend there. Maria didn’t want him to leave, to stay here with her. That she would be lonely without him. Nonetheless his parents came in and calmed her down, talking for hours until Maria was at peace with him leaving. Troy was given three gifts of remembrance that he could take with him for his travels. The first gift he was given was a box full of different variety of seeds for him to grow. For him to start a business in Evermore to help keep him afloat. Along with a message “Find some land, be it in a pot or in the woods, and make these grow. Feed yourself, or make the land blossom with colour. Just grow it for me”. A pat on the back was given by his father before he was going. His second gift was a small book of everything he would want to known whilst he is in the city along with a message “Find your way of doing things. I know you are used to us doing things for you. But now I want you to learn on your own. Use this book as and when you need it. His mother gave him a long hug before he want. Lastly was a gift from Maria, a promise to never forget. “Never forget your home, your family, your friends. Never forget your talents you earned, nor the failures you lived through. Most of all, never forget me, Maria Rosemary”, Along with the message was a kiss on the cheek, a finale goodbye. Troy headed to the airport with mixed feelings, he found his way through all of the checks and produces. Taking a plane to Evermore.
During his two years he found himself working in a flower shop, despite his country accent he was doing well for himself, fitting in with the locals. Troy earned himself a fair profit and life for himself, he was able to rent himself a small studio apartment. He liked to roam the city, specially the forest and base of the mountains where the initia tribe lives, Troy have met a few people with special talents, other elementalists like him. Troy prefered to stay by himself focusing on making a living first. The inita gave him a plot of land by the base of the mountain, spending all his free time on his crops. Troy tended to stay away from the woods during the full moon, where the wolves roamed. Soon the city starting to go through many travesties, the measure. Since then initia’s and other people were slowly becoming more distinct to one another. After the comet passed, the initia’s were suddenly gifted with another element. The comet brought the initia’s together again after the massacre.
Troy have to face all of the troubles that Evermore is facing, not knowing what is coming. He is trapped along with everyone else since the barrier went up. Not knowing anything but having to be ready for what is to come...
