Faceclaim: Chancelor Bennett
Species: Initia
Age: 23
Elements: Earth and Air

The Wakaya’s were one of the first of many original families to settle in Australia. Although the climate was harsh and sometimes unforgiving, they decided to settle in an area that was mostly desert. It took some getting use to, but over the years the Wakaya’s made the area there home and began to thrive and prosper. Today they are known as one of the many groups of Australian Aboriginals.

As their society grew it became a monarchy. The first born son of the Wakayan bloodline would become king when he came of age. The society became so successful they even created their own language; Wakaja. Maybe what made the Wakaya’s so special is that they were more than humans.

The Wakaya’s were a species known as Initia. Initia have been around for thousands of years and have always been one with the elements. The Wakaya’s proud themselves on there Initia heritage and it was one of the reasons their people did so well. As time passed the society grew larger. It seemed like a picture-esque place to live. And it truly was. The society would only continue to thrive under the reign of Duwal Wakaya.

At the age of 18, Duwal Wakaya became the ruler of Wakaya after the untimely death of his father. Duwal was very intelligent and earned the nickname Darwin. Darwin brought different languages and styles of writing to the society, from neighboring civilizations. He also introduced new types of food and how to produce them. The size of Wakaya nearly tripled under Darwin’s rule and it was the Golden Age of Wakaya.

It was never the same after Darwin’s death, although the town continued to prosper under his teachings. Darwin’s son became king after his death and his son, Kaawa after him. Wakaya grew so large in size during Darwin’s reign that after he died, his son renamed Wakaya; Darwin in his late father’s honor. It is now known as Darwin, Australia.

Kaawa Wakaya was just 17-years-old when he became king. His people had little faith in him because he was young and naïve. But Kaawa was determined to make his people proud of him, much like his grandfather had. Not long after he became king, Kaawa noticed his tribal tattoo form on his lower back, signifying he had become an Initia. Kaawa soon realized that his element was Earth.

To create alliances with other cities, Kaawa married Alura Danghatti, a princess from a neighboring city. Alura was also an Initia whose element was water. About a year after they were married, Alura gave birth to the couples first children, twins, Arilla and Tyipa. Ari and Ty were the light of there parents lives. Both Kaawa and Alura didn’t know they could love anything as much as they loved the twins.

The twins grew quickly and although the two were inseparable, they were polar opposites. Arilla was very rambunctious, while Ty was more reserved. When the twins were two, Alura gave birth to her third child, a boy named Ponto. Although the twins couldn’t be more different, the one thing they shared was the love for there younger brother. They both knew at a young age that Po was there responsible and were willing to do anything for the boy.

As Po got older, he became the perfect combination of Ari and Ty. Arilla taught him how to be outspoken, while Ty taught him to listen. There family couldn’t have been more perfect. They were the Obama’s of there time. Everyone wanted to be them and everyone envied them. As his children got older, so did Kaawa and Alura and he became the leader he always wanted to be. The people of Darwin looked up to and believed in him.

When the twins were four and Po was two, Alura found out she was pregnant yet again. Although this pregnancy was nothing like her first two. Alura was sick and bed ridden throughout the entire duration. The baby was born a month early and weighed no more than a few pounds. Most were sure he wouldn’t survive, but Alura didn’t give up hope. Even young Ari, Ty and Po prayed to the Gods. And they listened. The baby pulled through and Alura and Kaawa named him Kaidad.

The Wakaya children were named the Royal Four by the media, although their parents did everything they could to keep them out of the press. The Royal Four grew within the palace walls and while the four of them were accustom to a life of luxury, they never let it get to there heads. Arilla did her best to try and stay out of trouble, although trouble always ended up finding her.

On the twins thirteenth birthday, Ari discovered a tattoo had formed on her lower back. Concerned, she went to go show Ty only to find out that the same symbol had also formed on his lower back. Together, the confused twins confronted their parents who explained everything. That they were Initia and soon they would find out what element they were connected to. Not long after did Ari discover her element was fire and Ty’s was water. It was no surprise that the twins had opposite elements since they were indeed opposites. The living beings of yin and yang.

Both Po and Kai were thrilled to hear about there Initia heritage and couldn’t wait until there tattoos formed and they got their elements. At first it was hard for Ari to control her fire. She would often let her emotions get the best of her and they would take over, making her lose control. After a while and a lot of practice, she started to get the hang of it. Ty, it seemed, was a lot better at controlling his water. He also got help from there mother, whose element was also water.

On the day of Po’s thirteenth birthday, the tribal tattoo formed on his back and he discovered his element was air. With the help of the best Air Initia around, Po learned to control his element rather quickly. The three Wakaya children practiced day and night to better their abilities. Kai watched and waited for the day when he too would get his tattoo and finally become an Initia.

At last the day Kai had been waiting for had arrived; his thirteenth birthday. And just like his siblings before him, the tribal tattoo had formed on his back. Kai’s element was earth, just like his fathers. Kai was by far the smartest and wisest out of his siblings. His element came natural to him and he needed no help in mastering it. Not even from his father who was also an Earth Initia.

Nothing so far had ever gone wrong in the lives of the Royal Four. But that soon was about to change and their world could come crashing down.

A few months after Kai’s thirteenth birthday, Alura and Kaawa were found murdered in their bed. The Royal Four immediately became suspects for the murders. Although none of them committed the crime, authorities were convinced that the four of them murdered their parents so Ty could become king. With no other choice, the four Wakaya children, who previously lead the perfect lives, decided to flee the country.

The Royal Four traveled to the United States were they heard rumors of a haven for the supernatural. A city in Colorado called Evermore. Having no place to go, the Wakaya’s made their way to the Eternal City. It has been 4 years since the Wakaya’s first arrived in Evermore, they had made Eternal city their home. The Wakaya’s were walking back from the city one night, the night was clear you could see every star could be seen in the sky. The siblings were all enjoying themselves spending time together. They were all stunned by the loud noise coming from about them.

Ty looked up above him, not able to believe his eyes. There it was a comet soaring through the sky, but there was a problem. He could see it wasn’t as high as it should be, it was getting lower. It was coming down from the sky. It was going to crash nearby; he didn’t know what to do. Nor did his siblings. Before they knew it they could feel the after effects of the comet crashing. They were knocked out after they awoke they could feel something different.

Soon after the siblings had discovered that they had gained another element from the comet, Ty was able to manipulate the element of air. After time past each of them have grown accustom to their new lifestyle. Ari and Ty continue to watch over their little brothers and protect them at all costs, while still trying to find their parents killer.
