Wyatt sat in front of his desktop computer at his small, second floor studio in the downtown section of the city with an optimistic smile. Work had been slow over the last few months, but as the weather was finally changing, so were the job offers. It was early morning when he'd headed into his studio with the hopes of finding some inspiration. His fingers wrapped around mug as he took a long sip of the hot coffee inside, making a small grimace. Despite having his own Keurig at his office, the diviner somehow managed to screw up the flavor.

His eyes fell back on the promising email from one of his contacts in South America. The magazine editor wanted to take some photos of his models in a real tropical setting instead of a set which was music to his ears. The best part of being a photographer was traveling. The only problem he was having was the need for an assistant. As much as he didn't want one, ever, he knew he was going to need one when he traveled for some of the bigger shoots.

He groaned internally and looked down at his watch. In precisely ten minutes Wyatt had an interview with one of the candidates that had applied for the position. He'd put the ad out a couple of days ago and the few people that did come for the interview were all true amateurs. Wyatt could tell they would never be able to keep up with him on his travels nor get along with his somewhat demanding attitude when it came to his business. If he could do everything himself he would, but it was just impossible with the equipment and time constraints. Speaking of, he needed to find someone asap because they would be leaving by nightfall. No pressure.

Green hues flicking to the large bay window behind him, Wyatt turned his chair around to glance out at the busy street below him. People were moving about as they made their way to work, completely unaware of anything else but the mindless paths they were on. He really appreciated working on his own time when he saw how people could look like cattle. He took another drink of his coffee and nearly spit it out again, until a young woman caught his eye who was heading for the building. It appeared his interview had arrived. His finger slid across the table and pushed the button to let her in, keeping his eye on her the whole time from above and trying to assess if this would even be worth his time. "Maybe she can at least make coffee..."

After the chit chat had ended Ridley shifted in her seat getting comfortable allowing herself to doze off, she woke to someone talking a few rows behind them. Opening her eyes slowly the young diviner noticed the man beside her looking out the window at the sun, her jaw nearly dropped it was one scene that always managed to take her breath away from the rise and fall of the sun each day. Shifting to get her bag under the seat in front of her she removed her camera and began to take photos out of the window. After she was done she turned and snapped a few candids of Wyatt himself she tucked away her camera as the pilot announced the decent.

After they landed and gathered all the luggage Ridley remained as silent as she could take in all the places they were driving passed. Her eyes jumping all over the place she was happy and in awe of everything, a few times she pats Wyatt on the arm to point out a few things. Once at the hotel Ridley climbed out of the car heading for the front doors. “Holy Moly” She whispered as they entered. “You and me both.” She replied to his feeling underdressed. Looking down at her own simple outfit. She felt as though people were judging them for looking so grubby in comparison.

When the older gentleman asked if Ridley and Wyatt were Married she could not help but laugh, ‘Oh that is priceless’ she thought to herself. “What he said.” She confirmed as she looked from one man to the other in the elevator. Shaking her head Ridley could not help but smile it was a rather funny interaction she had to admit, she had never been asked that sort of question before let alone with a man she had only met.

After stepping off the elevator Ridley followed the younger man to her room and stepped inside, her eyes jumping all over the room. “Thank you.” She said to the young man. Placing the bag she had been carrying down on the desk she moved to the window to look out at the scene. People really did live a life of luxury didn’t they Ridley could not fathom what it would be like to live like this all the time, she was a woman of simple pleasures. Hearing the knock Ridley just turned in time to catch him opening the door and leaning on the frame. “VERY!!!!” She said a little more emotion behind the word than she had intended. “I am like in shock or something.” She laughed. Folding her arms around her chest as she shook her head. “Do people really live this way? Like Seriously?” She laughed some more.

“I am sure I will be fine for the night, though thanks, Wyatt.” She laughed as he said he would pass out between their rooms. “I don’t think I could sleep just yet even if I wanted to.” Which was the truth though her body felt worn out and ready for sleep Ridley knew her brain would not stop. So she would sit up with her computer and journal and fill out about her journey so far, as well as do some research on the area. “Sweet Dreams Wyatt, I will see you in the morning.” After Wyatt left she moved over to her bags to get her laptop making her way over to the bed that looked like it could fit a small army on it.

Plopping herself down in the middle she connected herself to the wifi and got busy doing her research, her eyes scrolling back and forth over the lines. Her fingers quickly tapping along the backlit keys. She smiled and saved things to her computer as well as made some lists and notes on different documents of things they could check out. The documents were synced with her phone so she would be able to access them on the go as well. Hours went by before she even realized how long she had been at it. Finally forcing herself to close the laptop lid and get into her PJs the woman finally crashed onto the bed and before long she was out.

Waking the next morning the instar diviner made quick work of showering and dressing, once she was ready for the day she knocked on the door between their rooms. “Wakey Wakey Mister Brookes, the day has started without us.” She chuckled and waited for a response from him. “I will meet you down in the lobby.” She called out grabbing the keycard off the desk as well as her cellphone and camera bag. Heading out of her room Ridley entered the elevator they had used the night before.

It was 10am when the alarm on his watch began ringing, pulling him from the deep sleep he was in. Wyatt frantically reached across to his wrist to shut the annoying sound off with his eyes still closed and more than a few curse words escaping from his lips. He rolled onto his back, completely forgetting how enormous the bed he was in really was as he stretched his limbs to wake himself up more. Despite the overzealous nature of the hotel room, the diviner had to admit this bed was like sleeping on a cloud. There wasn't much reason he wanted to get up unless it was for food and on cue, his stomach reacted with a growl. "Yeah, yeah, I hear you."

Wyatt rolled off the bed and stumbled sleepily forward as he reached for the heavy and darkened curtains that blocked his view. He took hold of the fabric and pulled it backwards to reveal the bright sun and beautiful view of the city below with the ocean just a few blocks away. The street was fairly lively now as people were walking about and preparing for their day. A deep yawn filled his chest as he rubbed his hand over his face in some attempts at waking up while he looked back to the connecting door. He shuffled across the floor towards it and raised his fist to knock on the door when it seemed she had beat him to it. "God, she's the epitome of fae..." he grumbled quietly to himself at her chipper voice before hearing her door closing as she left the room.

After about ten minutes of making sure he looked presentable to the world, Wyatt placed the strap of his camera over his head and went downstairs to meet up with Ridley. "Good morning," he greeted to her, seeing that she was already near the doors of the lobby and ready to get the day started. "Shall we?" He offered his arm to her and lead them out of the hotel and into the warm sunlight which he could physically feel waking him more as was the normal being the diviner he was. Despite the area being catered to tourists, it still had an authentic feel to the place which made being in this part of the city especially nice. There were plenty of local vendors selling their wares along their route as well as stores to shop, but to him the best part was the food.

Wyatt finally stopped in front of a small bakery named Pastisseria Cerdanya that had a three person band playing music outside and was filled with clay pots of various sizes full of flowers, inside and out. The hostess seated them to one of the tables along the sidewalk and handed them each a menu. His stomach immediately reacted to the aroma of the food as it wafted from inside the restaurant. "I don't think I've ever been so hungry in my life." The hostess came back and poured them each a cup of coffee while he finally decided on what he would be getting. His green hues looked across the table to the other fae and raised an eyebrow with a smile. "Do you need help ordering? My Portuguese is a little rusty, but I can point out what things are in case you need a little guidance." His fingers greedily wrapped around the cup as he took a sip of the strong coffee after putting some cream and sugar in it. "Also, this is probably one of the best cups of coffee you're ever going to have and my confidence in that is high, seeing as I've traveled a lot of the world." He chuckled putting the cup down and looking to Ridley's own camera which she brought along with her. "Excited for some good photography today?"

Ridley was once more taking in the hotel’s lobby architecture when Wyatt emerged she had not registered his presence until he spoke “Morning.” She beamed turning in his direction, looping her arm through his when he offered it to her. “We shall,” She said nearly having a small bounce to her step as they got outside. Her eyes danced over everything she saw from the people to the buildings themselves. When they stopped at a bakery she inhaled a deep breathtaking in the smells, her mouth watered a little turning to Wyatt as they were seated. “I would 1000% have to agree with you on that, maybe it was the long flight but I feel like it’s been ages since I ate last.”

Looking down to the menu she tried to read the words in her head it was like a guessing game trying to figure out what each item was. When the waitress served them coffee Ridley slide the cup towards Wyatt, she was not a coffee drinker and clearly he was. She loved tea though looking back to the menu as Wyatt asked if she needed help “Umm is there like a bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese, and like a mix of fruit to go on the side?” she asked.

“I am a Tea drinking kind of gal, so feel free to drink my cup of coffee as well.” her optics fell on his camera and she nodded happily.

When he asked if she was ready to take photos. “You have no idea, I saw a few things from my window that I would love to get photos of when we are not working or exploring, like the water.” She pointed out one spot. “And the architecture here is amazing.” She said, “I really really like the rustic look, the pots of flowers over there.” She pointed behind herself to the flowers. “They would make for an amazing shot.”

“I get a little overzealous when it comes to taking photos, if I move to fast for you or get to hyper please let me know. I’ve been told I am a little over the top for some people's taste. I guess some call me an acquired taste.” She laughed, sipping from a glass of water that sat in front of her.

Wyatt sat back contentedly with his coffee as he listened to her. The excitement on Ridley's face made him smile softly. He liked that she was passionate about photography. It was clearly more than a hobby or just a way to make some extra money seeing as this was part time. It was clear to him she lived and breathed it just as much as he did. It was hard to find someone who was talented to keep up with him and if she had the real passion for it, that was good enough for now, even if he had only seen a bit of her work. "No, way. If you see something that sparks your interest, we'll stop so you can get the shot. Today is a day of leisure. Tomorrow we do the work. Whatever you want to do is fair game."

He took another drink of the rich coffee and raised a brow at her revelation of being a tea drinker. "More coffee for me then." The waitress came back over and Wyatt ordered his breakfast and repeated what Ridley wanted back in Portuguese. It had actually been one of the first languages he'd learned in his fairly long life. With all the traveling he did, Wyatt knew he wanted to be able to mingle easily with the people of the different countries he'd be visiting. Living the tourist life was fun and all, but knowing how to talk to locals was the best way to find the hidden gems of the area. "I'm sure you'll love the beach. It's incredible. Put the beaches to shame in the States, honestly. We're going to shoot there tomorrow too. Typical magazine stuff. Swimsuits and summer wear. I met the editor on a safari trip in Africa. I'm hoping to snag a chance to stay at his place in Egypt to do more research there as well. The ancient diviner tribes aren't so well known in some of the vast deserts where people weren't really thought to be living."

The waitress returned a few moments later with the help of another waiter, carrying their food. They sorted out which meal belonged to whom and lastly poured Ridley a cup of tea. He smirked slightly as the two spoke in their native tongue while trying to figure out how exactly to serve the hot tea since it wasn't the first choice for most in Brazil. Wyatt looked down to the massive bowl of freshly sliced fruit for them to share as well as the pastries, pão de queijo, and different bread rolls. The fact that cakes were okay to eat in the morning in this country made him happy. Placing the coffee down, he picked up one of the warmed rolls and buttered it before looking to her. "Let me know if you need something else, though you may have to roll me to the beach after eating. I'm going to need a nap after this good food."

Ridley was happy to hear that Wyatt was willing to stop to let her take any shots she wanted, Ridley’s eyes just took in everything around her. The smell made her feel comfortable and very hungry the small woman grinned to herself, smells and sounds of new places always made her happy. “Thank you again for this opportunity.” The Diviner would probably hear her say that another 100 times before she stopped thanking him, it was just another aspect of her charm.

“I am oddly obsessed with water.. I don’t know what it is, but water has always been one of the elements I am most drawn to.” Whenever she was sad a long walk to a beach helped, or a walk in the rain, if she was ever in pain or sore she’d have a soothing bath. Water had always been such a large part of Ridley’s life she just never really thought anything of it. “I can’t wait to see how things are done here.”

“Did you see many animals on your safari trip?” She inquired while sipping her water once more. “Egypt! I’d love to visit an old tomb and just see the history and you know get to touch it with my own hands. All the knowledge that is still so hidden just waiting to be discovered it is really quite interesting.” Shifting her hands off of the table as the waitresses showed up with the food. Ridley turned to Wyatt “How do I say thank you?” She asked wanting to thank them herself for going through what looked like a bit of a struggle to figure out how to pour her tea.

When Wyatt told her Ridley repeated the word a few times until she thought it sounded right, turning to the waitress Ridley repeated it once more. Turning her attention to Wyatt and the fruit she grinned and picked up a slice and popped it into her mouth. “I love love love fruit.” She grinned “Like you wouldn’t believe.” her giggles escaped as she thought of her friend Mitra back home and how she thought Ridley was a little crazy for having such a watermelon obsession.

“This is perfect.” Ridley was positive that there was nothing more they needed she wasn’t even sure if they could possibly finish everything. It almost looked picture perfect to eat, with that she took out her camera removing the lens protector to take photos of the spread. “Roll you out? That does not sound like it will be very comfortable, but I will do what I have to do.” She teased as she sipped the tea and nearly melted from the perfection of it.

After they had both indulged on the delicious food the pastisseria had to offer, he grabbed another pastry and took a bite while nodding in the direction they were heading in. "Shall we?" he said with a full mouth, smirking. As they continued down the street, Wyatt pointed out some of the older buildings and architecture along the way which he could tell was really interesting to Ridley.

Many more people began congregating along the cobblestone streets as they began their day and the street became alive with the hustle and bustle of the day to come. The sun was beginning to warm and the sky was almost cloudless which would make for some amazing light for any of the pictures they planned on taking today. Most people didn't look at the weather in such a way, but being fae and photographers, that was something he knew he and Ridley had in common.

Wyatt offered his arm again to her as they walked along while a group of young children quickly ran over to them and tried to sell flowers and other handcrafted items. He supposed no matter how many times he'd visited the area and spoke the language, the natives would always know a tourist when they saw one. The cameras hanging around their necks probably didn't help any in the matter. The diviner bought a few of the flowers and handed them to Ridley with a chuckle. "They are going to harass us everyday we're here now."

As they came upon the beach, the sand was almost white and the water clear. It was no wonder the magazine wanted to shoot here as it was one of the most beautiful beaches he'd seen in his many years and travels. Standing on the stone, he could smell the ocean's saltiness in the light breeze which made him automatically sigh with contentment.

"Ah, boss." A man with sun leather skin approached them with teeth that were blinding against his dark skin. "Would you and the lady like to ride along the beach?" His English was perfect and no doubt he was another man of the village who made his living off the tourists. He pointed to the roped off fence that held six horses who casually grazed along the grassy part of the beach.

"Uhhhhh..." Wyatt looked to Ridley and shrugged slightly. "It's up to you. I haven't been riding in years, so it could make for some hilarious pictures that I'm sure you'll be quick to take when I go tumbling off the horse and into the water."

The meal had hit the spot and when they finished Ridley gathered up her belongings heading out into the street. Slipping her arm into Wyatt’s when he offered the arm the woman simply smiled her gaze taking in as much as she possibly could. The children that began to crowd them made her smile even brighter when Wyatt bought her some flowers she held them pulling out her camera as the children ran off to do the same to another pair. Ridley used the moment to take a few photos using the natural light of the sun and shadows from the buildings to blur the faces but it was a perfect picture moment.

“Well Mister Brookes I don’t think I mind having a few children bother me, they are innocent and trying to help earn a living. That is something I do not mind supporting.” She let the camera fall back around her neck as they continued along their journey. The beach was breathtaking something that stepped right off of a vacation magazine page. Waving to the man who approached them Ridley nodded eagerly to the idea of riding on a horse “It’s been a long time since I have been riding as well, but if you think you will fall off I suggest giving me your camera.” She teased.

Approaching the nearby horses Ridley held out her hand and rubbed the neck of the one-horse “Aren’t you just a beautiful and powerful creature.” She whispered to the horse allowing him the chance to get to know her, once comfortable enough Ridley climbed up onto the horse adjusting her bag and camera to make it a more comfortable ride for them both.

Amazingly neither Wyatt nor Ridley had fallen off the horses, though she had taken plenty of photos that she would show her new boss after they finished at the photoshoot. When they had arrived Ridley dismounted and rubbed the horse again. “I think you both need something to drink and maybe even some treats for putting up with us.” She said to the horse.

Turning to Wyatt she tried her best to hide the slight giggle as she watched him dismount. “You alright there? Seem a tad sore?” She teased. “Ready to do our job?” To be honest Ridley was more excited about the adventure after the photoshoot. The caves, the old magic just all of it, anything about the Diviners was exciting to the female diviner.

"Oh, boy," Wyatt said with a chuckle as she seemed excited to ride the horses. It had been a few years since he'd been on the back of a horse and it was through the fields in Ireland last time while heading to the remnants of a castle tucked away in the tall grasslands. Even then he had been a little bit rusty and the strain on his thighs afterwards just made his already slightly bow legged posture funnier. His assistant at the time or really close friend Joe, wouldn't let up on it for the rest of the day. Wyatt had the chance to get back at Joe later that night when they were at a pub and he poured salt into his beer while he had went to the bathroom to break the seal. Needless to say, Joe immediately let up on the jokes and Wyatt had one of the best cry laughs of his life watching him spit the drink out.

He laid his hand on the side of the horse's neck before giving it a gentle pat, looking over to Ridley. Wyatt could see she was making friends fast with her new companion which made him smile. He was just about to walk over to help her on, but she took to the saddle with ease, even when the owner of the animals had come to give her a help up with a wooden block. "There's more to you than meets the eye, Miss Sommers." Wyatt gave her a smirk and went to the horse's left side, placing his foot in the stirrup and pulling himself onto the saddle.

Wyatt paid the man and in doing so began the automatic rules and regulations about riding the horses along the beach. After his speech, the diviner clicked his teeth and ushered the horse forward. The animal seemed to know the routine and didn't hesitate to walk towards the clear ocean water, but Wyatt used his heels to get the horse into a trot. He rode along the shoreline causing the water and sand to kick up in the process. Every time he'd gotten on a horse, Wyatt couldn't help but remember the fun times he had as a child when he would do this on weekends at the stables near his family's house.

After twenty minutes or so, the owner whistled and waved to let them know their time was up. They walked back to the enclosed ropes with the other horses and dismounted. Wyatt gave a slight wobble and shook his leg out. "Sore will be when we wake up in the morning," he replied back to Ridley with a chuckle. "I see you're ready for tomorrow." Wyatt was happy she was enthusiastic. He waved to the man as he began walking along the beach with Ridley, stopping to take his shoes off. After rolling his pant legs up, his walked through the warm water of the shore as the low waves crashed against his ankles. He gazed out and could see that the water didn't get deep until at least a hundred or so feet out. "To be honest this shoot is just a way to pay for the rest of our trip." Wyatt looked to her then as she moved in step with him. "As much as I do love photography, the whole modeling thing isn't my favorite. Capturing nature and architect; ruins and history. That's really my favorite thing of all and when I can do it while finding things that have to do with our kind, there's nothing more rewarding than that."

More to her than meets the eye, her male companion had no idea, did he? She tried to fight off the burning questions about if he knew her family and the tragedy that had befallen them. Ridley was more than ready for the day ahead she was excited to see Wyatt’s real work. While he spoke of his real passion a little smirk spread to her lips “Well Mr. Brookie I can’t wait to see you in action.” She had slipped up and forgotten his last name was Brookes, not Brookie.

The questions from earlier still seared into her brain and before she could stop herself, she was already blurting them out as the waves lapping up at her feet just after taking off her shoes. “Do you know much about the Sommers’? about what happened in my family?” Some knew and often judged her by her brother's actions, had they known what her sister did to her personally they might believe all the Sommers clan kids were cursed to do something bad to someone else within the family at some point; Ridley was hoping she was the exception to the curse.

She remembered back to when they were children and the rare occasions where the three of them would be caught playing and enjoying themselves together. It was a very rare occurrence due to the feud between her siblings but when they all got along it was a rather marvellous and laughable thing to watch even their parents would stand there for hours and watch them.

Turning back to Wyatt when she realized she had drifted off into a memory she wiped away the tears that built up in her eyes it was hard not to miss those times. Life was hard and complicated and to be honest being a child had been so much easier, this adulting thing was rather difficult and Ridley wasn’t sure how she managed it on her day today. Her love life was crap, her family life was even worse; the only thing she had going for her right now was possibly this job if it panned out and Wyatt chose to keep her on board after this long trip.

Wyatt couldn't help but look at her with a raised eyebrow and a grin as she called him Mr. Brookie. "Well, that's a first." He couldn't help but think of one of his favorite desserts which was in fact, a brookie. Who didn't love a brownie and cookie put together into one? Only crazy people. "I might be strangely okay with this." He chuckled, looking back to his feet splashing in the water as they continued down the beach which was slowly beginning to fill with people both tourist and residents alike.

As Ridley asked about her family lineage he slowed his pace a bit and glanced her way before looking straight ahead towards the direction they'd been walking. "Well, I do know of your family, yes. It's hard not to when you've been around as long as I have and lived in Evermore. The coven likes to check on all the families that are joining with us, but I sometimes go a little further than that, finding names of other families because of my research." It was always important to know who was going to be joining their coven in Evermore and Wyatt had been put into place as one of the advisors that would meet with newcomers to the city. As much as he objected, Kaelyn was rather insistent on it and he would do anything to help his cousin in her leadership position when it came down to it.

"I know what happened with your brother. At least the quick version, I suppose." The Sommers' were famous for all the wrong reasons. Not that he could put opinion or blame, but it couldn't be ignored that one of her siblings did in fact kill their father. There were different versions of what happened that day, Wyatt was sure, but only one version of the actual truth. "To be honest, I looked up your information when I recognized your last name the day I set the interview. I wanted to go a little deeper. I remembered learning about your parents and siblings once before." Somehow it seemed every diviner family had its own sort of internal drama. "Do you speak to them still?"

When Ridley didn't answer, he looked to her and saw the tears which had begun to fall on her cheeks. His features moved into concern as he stopped and faced her. Wyatt placed a gentle hand on her shoulder in comfort. "Are you okay? I'm sorry if I offended you. I don't pass judgement on what happened to your family. Believe me, I wouldn't have invited you overseas with me if that were the case." Wyatt sighed and tried to find the right words. "You are your own person. You can't be held liable for your brother's actions. I know a bit about that feeling myself actually. You have a right to live your own life without that cloud holding you back."

When Wyatt said he might strangely be okay with it she realized her error but didn’t think much more about it after because of the talk of her family. Letting out a long sigh when he rested his hand on her shoulder, she tried to gather herself. “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to get all emotional on you there, it’s just most in our community think my brother is some evil person. He really isn’t I just think he got in with the wrong crowd and was sort of tricked... yes what he did was wrong and I can never forgive him for what he did but, our father didn’t make life on him very easy. He was dark it was easy to see, whereas my sister and I were light... my brother was the first in our bloodline to go that way.” She bit her bottom lip. “I miss him, we were close once upon a time.”

Clearing her throat “My sister on the other hand... that is just... She resented me after I was born thinking our parents were trying to groom me to lead the coven but I didn’t want it, if she did, she could have it. Later in life I had a boyfriend, we were close but I threw myself into my work which caused us to grow a little distant but I thought it was working... so did he...” Ridley took a breath “Until Charlie moved in with us... And well she and my boyfriend are now together sooo you tell me.” She gave a pitiful chuckle.

“Family is complicated and its why I throw myself into my work, it’s something I can control, mostly.” She sighed and looked up into his eyes. “And with me, I am forgetful, I have a temper, and mood swings Highs and lows, and I don’t always let people in. Or when I do, I try and push them away. So, I think us Sommers’ are just plain cursed. In some way.”

Wiping away the last of her tears “I haven’t talked to my sister or brother in a very long time, my mother has been on the run because the man who tricked my brother is trying to kill off our entire bloodline, me included.” Ridley paused “I just want what happened in my family to end, so maybe while we are on some of these adventures, I will learn some magic that will help me to solve that part of my life as well.”

Giving him a gentle smile “Sorry enough about me, let’s talk about the job after the job. Or do you want to wait till we are back to our room..s for that.” She corrected herself.

Wyatt gave a slight chuckle as she finished her backstory and shook his head, meeting her eyes while she attempted to change the subject. "Woo, that was a whirlwind." He couldn't imagine the turmoil she must've been going through. With everything she had explained, it seemed like Ridley was on her own when it came to her family. He didn't want to pry any more now that she had spilled so much of her family history, but he hoped she was finding close friends in Evermore that could help to give her some kind of foundation for people she could rely on.

Giving her a reassuring smile, Wyatt felt he needed to extend an opening gesture. "Yes, we can talk about the job after the job, but I just want you to know that despite us just getting to know each other, I want you to, at least at some point, feel comfortable enough to talk to me if you want to. I would be lying if I said I didn't have an amazing family and upbringing, but I am starting to learn some secrets my family has been tucking away from me and the long lost cousin I didn't know even existed until not too long ago." He placed his hands in his pockets and continued their walk along the sand, watching his feet sink lower with every step. "I know a bit of what it's like to have a family with secrets too and I'll help in any way that I can to keep you safe."

Wyatt winked at her and nodded ahead of them. "Since the shoot isn't far from the hotel, we'll just head back there afterwards where we'll be picked up by our local guide who will take us further into the jungle. It's pretty deep into the Amazon, so as I said before we left, it won't be a five star palace like what we're staying in now, but you won't have to worry about predators at night either." He glanced over to Ridley to see her reaction and whether her face would indicate she might be having second thoughts, but she still seemed excited for the trip.

"The temples that were built deep in the forests might have some of the key information inside. I'm not sure if it'll be in the form of artifacts of glyphs written on its walls, but I'm more than a little determined to try and find them. Lost tribes and their ancient magic could be a great asset to our kind and it doesn't deserve to be lost to time in those thickets to never be seen by their people generations later." Wyatt continued on, his tone becoming more cautionary. "It won't be easy by any means. Besides those natural predators I mentioned before, I'm sure the ancestors didn't exactly leave their most magical treasures laying out in the open of their temples to be easily recovered. Who knows what kind of protection they'll have for them and if we can even pass through. I just want to take every precautionary so it's really important you stay close and not touch anything as tempting as it might be." A light laugh escaped his lips. "I've gotten into more trouble than I care to admit from touching shiny objects when I know better."
