He settled pretty fine in college, that’s how Jihoon thought would go. But god was he wrong, at the moment he’s trying his best to escape from this dispute between Seojun and the dance team because both were arguing and somehow, the poor valkyr got stuck while he was supposed to bake a few cakes. Yesterday, he remembered heading over to the cafe just in front of the university’s entrance because he wanted to get a cup of coffee before resuming his shift at the bakery that he got a part-time job at. He wasn’t sure what it was about the very bread that’s been popular for the past week with the students, but Seojun got into an argument with Ryan, who’s the president of the dance club, over a loaf of bread. Okay, it’s not just over a loaf of bread, it’s the last stock of the chocolate bread he had worked with Freyja.

He didn’t think people liked it that much that it sold out for the first three days and now his grumpy roommate who was ready to tear the other guy in shreds is also one of the many who’s fighting for it. “Cats are so sensitive…” he muttered, Seojun reminds him a lot like Dae. Speaking of which, he missed the niveis. He lifted his head up from the couch where he found himself sleeping on, after spending the entire night finishing the cakes. He supposed he could've finished them much earlier if it wasn't because of the incident yesterday but he was glad he could diffuse the tension between the two.

Jihoon craned his neck and stretched out his arms "I really shouldn't sleep on the couch overnight…" he groaned, the ache was very much there but it's bearable. He took a quick shower and changed out of his work clothes into something more casual before heading out with the cakes in the containers. He promised to give Yeon and Dae the first taste, and the valkyr intends to keep his promise. Perhaps he was daydreaming about how delighted Freyja would be if he came visiting with another cake because the last time he surprised her at the cafe while she was doing her work, she took the cake pretty well. He ought to bake her another next time, just the thought of seeing that face light up with happiness and excitement is more than enough for a payment.

Of course, while he was walking down the pavement with the containers in his hand, daydreaming about his crush, the last thing he'd expect was a bike was heading his way.

Sunmin raised his brows when Jihoon revealed his crush was also his boss, he had to admit he hadn’t seen that one coming “I mean you work in a cafe, not some big corporate place which will pull you up on it right, so who cares” he shrugged his shoulders slightly “Could get awkward if you break up though…” there was that part to consider for sure. Sunmin raised his hands as though to say no personal attacks meant when Jihoon reacted to him saying people were jerks “Maybe not, you’re the type of person that jerks would pick on” he pointed out bluntly and shrugged.

“I don’t think she could be bad if she tried…” he mumbled when Jihoon asked if Astra was a good person, it was frustrating at times because he was sure someone could walk all over her and she’d probably go and thank them for the experience. “She’s not…allergic exactly, just that she tends to avoid sugar…getting the drinks without sugar and thinks like that…” he wasn’t going to mention the fact she literally got high off of it because he would sound crazy “But desserts are literally her favorite thing, so it has to be that” he was adamant on that much.

“And it has to be strawberry…” that much was set in stone, sugar or not, the whole basis of what he made had to have strawberries in it or it was all pointless, strawberries were her favorite thing in the world, he thought. Sunmin gave the other made a side eyed stare when he said he might lose Astraea to someone else “It’s the one good thing I have, if she doesn’t feel the same and rejects me, our friendship won’t last” he wasn’t sure he could even face her again if that happened “And honestly, I need it” more than he needed her love, he needed her in his life.

“Maybe one day I’ll feel ready to take the risk…but not today” he mumbled softly.

He bit his lip and looked down for a moment because Sunmin made a really good point. It’s a cafe not a corporate place. How bad could a crush be right? “You’re right… it’s not as if I can actually act on it anyway… a crush would be fine…” That’s what he kept telling himself. He narrowed his eyes at the celestial when he added it would he messy should he break up with her “You talk as if you’ve been in such relationship… have you?”

Sunmin didn’t have to point it out because Jihoon is beginning to think that he’s too blunt for his own good and probably got in a lot of trouble because of it. “I’m guessing your mouth usually gets you in trouble, young man.” But even a person so haughty like that had someone he fancied which made the valkyr gape slightly in awe. Damn. “Oh so you do have someone…” And he was convinced said person was the girl he was trying to bake this cake for.

“Don’t worry… I can make it sweet without the sugar. The good thing about the art of baking is that we have a lot of alternatives.” When he said strawberries, he chuckled and beckoned for the other male to pick up some in the fridge across him “Wash them for me will you?” Despite liking this girl he was afraid of confessing “See we’re on the same boat after all. Too scared to ruin the friendship we have but also whipped and attracted for them, wanting to be with them.”

But it was nice to know that Sunmin will act on it, one day. “Don’t wait too long, she needs you too I imagine. Girls who have to wait too long will think they don’t deserve you and move on.” After finishing mixing the batter, he poured them into the pan and put it inside the oven. “What animal does she like?”
