Dominic pulled his leather jacket closer around him as he walked down the busy sidewalk of Dhampir territory. The city immediately came alive as the sun set behind the many large buildings and the autumn night began to take over. People were filling the streets as they were being let out of work and headed to all the bars and restaurants. It wasn't long before he was essentially rubbing elbows with the revelers. It was Friday night and people were ready for the weekend.

He nodded to a bouncer he was friendly with at one of the bars he frequented before entering the next building over which was a very popular hibachi. Pushing his way through the line of people who were waiting for a table or a seat at the bar, he made his way to the front where the hostess stood. Her gaze was down on the computer as she was furiously typing away in attempts to get everyone's reservations correct. He cleared his throat and the young girl looked up at him. "Yes? I'm sorry, but you have to wait at least an hour for a table."

"I have a reservation already," Dominic told her. "It's under Howlett." The girl typed away in the computer and then a serious expression passed over her face. She cleared her throat and quickly grabbed a menu. There was another person who was in charge of seating guests, so he knew she must've known something...

"Yes. Please, right this way, sir." Dominic followed the girl across the restaurant and he took in the surroundings. There were at least a dozen stations set up around the building which all had large parties of people sitting in a circle. In the middle was the chef, preparing all the food for the guests in the grand fashion that hibachis tended to portray. He couldn't help but notice the intriguing amount of collectibles the place had. There were several samurai and katana swords in glass cases, sets of ancient armor, weathered parchment, traditional Japanese clothing, and many other treasures. "Here, sir." Dominic sat down at a small table that was in a part of the restaurant which were meant for parties of three or less. "Your waitress is Akane. She'll be with you shortly." The girl paused a little longer than what would be normal and he could feel her eyes on him. He nodded and she snapped out of it before hurrying away.

'Real smooth...' Dominic's eyes casually went around the restaurant, taking in the surroundings with all the detail he could remember. His gaze then went to the real reason the hostess had sat him at this table. The red jewel that sat in the glass case closest to his table was the entire purpose of his being there and only a few people knew of what was going to happen. He was on a mission for the Ailwards and at any moment one of the Dhampir associates that were meant to help protect the very old and exquisite necklace was going to cause a blackout in the restaurant, giving him the window to take the jewel. It was unlike the Ailwards to trust the other species, but the Dhampirs were known for being some of the best warriors of the supernatural world and Dominic had a feeling that they were going to be needed for this. They hadn't been specific about why they wanted this necklace out of the hands of these collectors, but Dominic didn't need those answers. He had the mission and that was all he needed.

Dom looked down at his watch and it was 6:30 pm. The blackout was scheduled for 6:41 pm, precisely and it was at that moment his waitress appeared. "Hello, my name is Akane," the young Japanese girl said in greeting, her accent thick. "What can I get for you, Mr Howlett."

He leaned back in his chair and smiled at the young girl. "The biggest bottle of sake you have." The waitress smiled and nodded when all of a sudden the lights went out. 'What? It's way too early...' Dominic quickly stood and headed over to where he knew the case was as guests of the restaurant began to panic. The owner attempted to calm as many people as he could, but they were acting chaotically as people tended to do. He suddenly noticed a figure by the case in the wavering flashlight beams that moved about the restaurant as employees attempted to lead people out. Dominic pushed his way through the crowd and tables as fast as he could, but it was too late. The case was empty and the person who had taken it was gone. His gaze dashed around the the restaurant until his eyes fell upon the one person who wasn't making their way to the exit and instead towards the back of the building and through the kitchens. "Shit...." Dominic took off after the thief.

The last week had been one of first weeks in a while that the young Nephilim wished she could ignore and forget. The past, no matter how far she tried to run would always somehow catch up with her; although she had to kick herself a little, she had given up running away from her past the moment she and her twin brother, Isaiah found themselves in the current city of their Father. So she didn’t give the Organisation much trouble in tracking her down; credit card usage, the outbursts of physical violence so neatly done that it must have been one of their own. Just the mere thought of it caused Clarissa to grunt in displeasure. Yet, the devil on her shoulder argued if she ever truly wished to run from the Organisation completely, given the fact that Kai stilled worked for them. Yes, she wished she could kill him, but deep down she knew she never could; he was a part of her, despite how often she tried to ignore it.

There she sat, replaying her last conversation with him in her mind; the organisation required her to complete another job for them. They stated that this mission didn’t require murder, but it wasn’t out of the question if it was a way for them to get what they wanted; Kai didn’t give her much detail about why she had to steal the precious jewel, he did, however, fill her in on the other details which would be required to be successful. The only obstacle she truly had was the Ailward Guard who would be there for the same reason, and from what she heard, he was a lot bigger than her. The amount of muscle never threatened her due to her pace but hearing the Guard was a Lycanthrope made her even more determined.  Although agreeing to the mission, it still made her sick to the stomach that even clearly stating she no longer wished to work for them, that they still had threads connected to her to make her their puppet.

Clarissa wrapped her leather jacket around her torso, protecting herself from the harsh Autumnal winds; she was in Dhampir territory which didn’t necessarily unnerve her considering one her best friends happened to be the Ambassador. Her goal was to reach the restaurant before the Guard so she could suss him out; it was a given he would follow her if she was sloppy enough to be seen. “A pornstar martini” Her elegant voice departed the tip of her tongue as she got escorted to the bar, upon waiting for her drink, she took a seat and eyed the restaurant. She wondered how murder never happened here considering the amount of samurai and katana swords there were, but maybe that was just how her mind worked. Yet her eye was on one thing, the red jewel in the case; it didn’t look too hard to get. She had paid the dhampir double the amount of money the Guards had offered him for the black out and already knew the exit she would take; through the kitchens.

A pleasurable sigh escaped her as she took the first sip of her cocktail which hit the spot, something she definitely needed for this evening. Yet that moment of pleasure soon disappeared the moment that he came through the restaurant doors; the Guard came strolling in and she noticed all female eyes were on him, for a whole different reason as to why she was eyeing him up. Not long now She thought and he hadn’t noticed her which worked in favour, she allowed him to sit for a few moments, lead him into a false sense of security before she gave the Dhampir a slight nod. It was 6.30pm, 11 minutes before the guards expected the black out; oh she wished she could see the man’s face once the lights went out.

Clarissa downed the last remains of her cocktail and stood; shrugging into her leather jacket once more to give others indication she was leaving. The moment the jacket was on securely, she took a slow walk in the general direction of the jewel until the lights went out where she hurried on with her mission; avoiding the chaotic of worried crowds. The screaming itself would have made her work faster let alone the huge man that would surely come after her. She stuffed the jewel in her zipped up leather jacket pocket and took a quick glance round to find the Guard; he was in his way over to cease the moment. “Shit” She cussed under her breath and weaved her way through the crowds; going against the current to the kitchens; dodging the chefs until the cool night air caressed her tanned flesh. She had to get as far away as possible in case he caught her leaving. She desperately wanted to use her wings but doubted how well that would go down. She would have to go by foot; she wasn’t sure how she would get out of stealing a motorbike from her Detective half-sister.

Clarissa kept to the shadows as she picked up the pace out of civilisation; she never looked back once, she didn’t need that distraction nor the worry that she was being followed.

Dominic barreled through the swinging doors that lead into the kitchen where a few of the left over kitchen staff was gathering after the lights went out. One of them was looking through the row of refrigerators and towards the back. "Which way did they go?" The staff member looked back at him with confusion and Dominic could feel his impatience boiling over. "WHICH WAY?!"

"Tha... That way. They went that way. There's a back exit." The man stammered as he pointed towards a darkened part of the kitchen.

He couldn't help but notice the cook said 'they' which meant there was more than one person involved. It also didn't go unnoticed that his Dhampir associate was now missing. Not a single indication of where he was, which meant, he was either lying unconscious somewhere or worse.. or he was working with the person he was now trying to track down. Dominic pulled his phone from his pocket as he pushed open the back door exit which lead into an alleyway. The night air was a relief as he could feel his temperature rising from the rage and adrenaline that was filling his whole body. He quickly punched the word 'coal' into his phone and sent it out to Aureus who was waiting to hear how everything was going down. This single word was the one to indicate the mission had failed, but he knew the Ailward would know that Dominic wasn't going to give up that easily.

Jumping over the railing of the stairs leading away from the restaurant, he made his way down the dark alley and immediately picked up the scent that had just passed through the back door. The thief wasn't human and in fact, 'A female.' This was getting interesting. Dominic hurried down the pathway, until a lit area revealed a fire escape leading to the top of an apartment building. He quickly scaled the stairs and on one side was the bustling city street with hundreds of people who were all oblivious to the world around them while on the other side was the continuing of more darkened alleyways. The scent of the thief was drifting away and Dominic needed to make a choice.

He quickly ran to the edge of the building and jumped to the adjacent roof, using his supernatural abilities to not only try and pick up her scent, but to hear any sort of movement that came from the shadows. His eyes closed as he concentrated and within a few moments... 'There.' Dominic dashed across to the next roof and without a moment's hesitation, leaped off the side of the building and landed directly in front of a young, slender brunette who seemed to be surprised to see him. 'Good.'

Dominic grabbed her shoulders roughly, pulling her closer to him so he could look down into her eyes and feel that his threat was more of a promise. "I'm going to need that necklace you thought you could borrow." He spun her around and pushed her back up against the brick wall of a building that lined the alleyway. "Now." His gaze went to her jacket where the jewelry was most likely on her before going back to her brown hues. "Or I can get it myself."

Despite never looking behind her, Clarissa kept a conscious ear out on the sounds around her, and as she ventured further out of the centre of town, the sounds died down which made it easier to focus on a single spot. However, it wasn’t the sounds that made her cautious; it was the overwhelming feeling she was getting chased and that the gentleman was most certainly closing distance. Every few moments she would pat her leather jacket pocked to make sure the jewel was still safe secured, she knew what the Organisation was like if they lost a mission and she certainly didn’t want her head on a spike. Now having the jewel in her possession, she was curious as to why they wanted it; it didn’t look any different to any other piece, but whatever it was for, she knew it wasn’t for good, thus making her want to get to the safe point as quickly as possible.

Clarissa caught a glimpse of a rather fast paced shadow from the corner of her eye causing her to come to a rather quick halt as the man from the restaurant appeared before her; her boots skidding against the concrete. A fight, oh she was looking forward to this; it had been a while since she had truly got into what she called a real fight, the rest where just mocking ones with humans who had no chance against an Angel child. She let out a melodic laugh as he roughly grabbed her shoulders and pulled her closer to him; with a swift inhale, she could smell the cologne he was wearing, she could feel the heat radiating from his palms as he held her. It made her slightly hot under the collar until he promptly changed their positions to have her back up against the wall. “Ooh, I like a man who takes control” Clarissa elegantly and seductively cooed the words to him, allowing the pads of her fingertips to brush against his cheekbone and into his long locks. “However, not today” One side of her lips curled upwards, creating a dimpled smile that could almost be described as angelic.

With her mind racing of possible ways to take advantage and with the limited space that he had given her, she wriggled out of her leather jacket allowing it to fall to the ground below her so that she could release her wings from within their prison of her scars; her face crinkled with the slight pain that this caused her but she needed to startle him for one brief moment so she could even the power balance. She heard the back of her white strap top rip as the wings forced their way out and through the pathetic fabric. Clarissa hated releasing her wings; she was never truly one to fly but she always felt somewhat vulnerable with them out; allowing her wings to stretch out, they inevitably forced his hands away from her giving her the right moment to bring a leg up to collide her foot into his stomach; pushing him away from herself and from the jacket.

Once she had more space to manoeuvre, she retracted her wings and positioned herself for her next move and his. “Why do the Ailwards want the jewel so much?” She asked stubbornly, her lavender specked eyes watching his every move, every twitch of his muscles to detect another blow.

Dominic could immediately feel she was a professional in the sense that the intimidation he was laying out wasn't affecting her. She seemed completely confident and cool despite being much smaller than he was in size. He couldn't help but wonder who she was working for and what business she had with the jewel. Did she know more about why it was so valuable? It was clear the artifact was being sought out by more than just the Ailwards, as she was no Guard he'd ever seen.

Just as he was about to start questioning her more, he suddenly felt a force that made him release her from his grasp. Dominic was undoubtedly surprised when he saw wings escape from the woman's back and then not a moment later, she kicked him backwards, putting space between the two. He turned his head from side to side and took in the size of her wings. 'Nephilim. What did they want with the necklace?' Dominic stretched his shoulders and readjusted his leather jacket from the annoyance of the kick before looking at her with mock disinterest and a smirk. The woman just as quickly put her wings away and was clearly standing in a way that meant she intended to fight if need be.

Dominic sighed at her inquiry and cocked his head to the side with a look that said he clearly wasn't going to answer that with whatever knowledge he may know. "It's not really my place to say, but since you're asking me, I'd love to know what you're doing with it, sweetheart." Dom widened his stance a bit in case she felt the need to come at him again and couldn't help but wonder where his no good of an associate was now that he'd found her without him. Had she passed it to him while they made their way through the back of the restaurant? He had a feeling the answer was no and that she was still holding onto it as this Nephilim was definitely more capable than the Dhampir who was meant to help him in the heist.

It wasn't in his nature to hit women, as his mother would be turning over in her grave, but he could certainly defend himself and subdue without hurting her... at least that would be the plan. He didn't know her which meant he didn't know her nature and if she was the killing type. Dominic slowly sauntered back over to the woman and stood about a foot apart from her. "Give me the necklace..."

She glanced at him, allowing her eyes to drop from head to toe; eyeing him up as if he were prey yet the moment she had kicked him back to allow her some breathing room she realised that he wasn’t truly going to fight back which disappointed her greatly. If that was the case, all she had to do was keep him as far away from her jacket and the jewel as possible, however, she knew he was stubborn and they both could be there for hours, even days before the other got bored.  The satisfaction of his surprise when she released her wings was clear on her features, it probably took a lot for a being like himself to be stunned, even for a moment. Clarissa would remain smug for a moment or two, before pressing forwards, she didn’t want to kill the man; she tried to stay away from her assassin ways, besides, he seemed a good enough guy to try and give that option a miss.

Clarissa rolled her shoulders briefly, allowing her muscles and skeletal frame to recover from her wings release; it shocked her that she even allowed him to see them yet desperate times call for desperate measures. Her eyes dramatically rolled as he dodged her question which triggered her to push him further away from her jacket; they were in the back of an alley far enough away from town that no one else would dare to come down here unless they had a death wish, therefore, she felt comfortable enough for it to sit alone until she dealt with the man in front her. “Do you really think I will accept that answer?” She cocked her head to the side a little, in a way that could only be described as a curious puppy. “C’mon Handsome, you could do so much better than that.” Clarissa thought of using her power to get inside his head, to cause him emotional torment but that wasn’t a fair game to her and even if it was, she suspected he still wouldn’t give in and give her the information that she wanted.

“I don’t want to kill you, pup.” Clarissa watched him with eager eyes as he tried to regain dominance over the situation they found themselves in. She didn’t need to kill him, but she could hurt him enough so that he was distracted for a moment so she could make a run for it. “No.” Her answer was blunt and stubborn as she directed her knee to his groin; assuming he would react like any other man in that situation.

Never was there ever a more profound question in creation than why were a man's privates their immediate downfall. When she hit him, Dominic immediately took a knee as the woman went straight for the jacket without looking back. The necklace had to be in there. Letting out an audible yell of frustration, he mustered up the will to ignore the pain and darted after her. "Listen," he began through gritted teeth, as he reached out and grabbed her by the shoulder, but she quickly spun, taking his wrist and twisting it around. He was forced to give her his back and she landed a kick to the inside of his knee which dropped him to the other one. 'Yea... she's trained.'

Dominic couldn't help but slowly grin. It wasn't often he was picking fights with women, but this was getting interesting. He reached up and grabbed her other arm which she was using as leverage against his shoulder to hold him down and flipped her over him and onto the ground of the alleyway. Putting a hand under her thighs, he spun the Nephilim around and pulled her closer to face him as he knelt over her. "Give. Me. The Necklace." She was quick to throw another blow to his groin, but Dominic blocked it and smirked, shaking his head at her like she was a naughty child. "Tsk. Tsk." He grabbed onto both her wrists and placed them above her head while looking into her dark eyes which had the specks of purple like all her species. It reminded him of the night sky back at home in the woods of Therian territory. "I could do this all night, Darlin'," he cockily said, lowering his face to hers. Without hesitation she took the opening and headbutted him in the nose, causing him to release her wrists in a howl of surprise.

Suddenly, her legs were around his waist and she placed an arm around the back of his neck and into a rear headlock in attempts to choke him out. Dominic put his arms under her legs and managed to get himself to stand as she was still wrapped around him. Now that he was able to straighten out more, it was harder for her to hold the headlock. She went to throwing elbows at his head instead which he took as he went charging for a dumpster and slammed her back into it. The force was enough for her to drop her legs from his waist and he took the advantage to stumbled backwards and get some space between them. Dom put a hand to his head to check if he was bleeding from the blows. "Goddammit, woman!" He took a few gasps and put his hands through his hair. "You fight better than most of the trash I normally deal with." After a few moments of them eyeing each other down and catching their breath, Dominic shrugged his shoulders at the vixen. "So, we gonna keep doing this or are you going to tell me what's going on?"

Clarissa desperately wanted to take pleasure in watching him stumble at such a low blow on her part, there was always something so satisfying watching a man like himself suffer the consequences of annoying her but she had to push her needs to the side to get this goddamn jewel to the Organisation before they served her head on a silver platter. However, despite her efforts, his pain threshold was a lot stronger than she had expected and a series of muttered curse words drifted from the tip of her tongue as she felt his rough hand upon her shoulder; thankfully she was trained for such an encounter and soon took the advantage by twisting his wrist to manage a blow to his knee roughly. Was she finally getting what she wanted? Was he finally fighting back? Oh she hoped so, for some odd reason, she liked to see some bruising on her tanned flesh to remind her why she continued to train.

The air within her lungs departed the confinements of her ribcage suddenly as he flipped her over his shoulder and as her somewhat exposed back hit the cold concrete ground below her; her normal angelic features creased a little before opening her eyes to find him looming over her. Her midnight locks of hair had fallen from her ponytail, sweat beading upon her forehead as she allowed her gaze to fall upon him after another feeble attempt at aiming a knee to his groin which he heavily anticipated. ‘Don’t you dare get distracted by him’ Her inner voiced hissed at her as his gaze held hers intensely  before taking her advantage as his head lowered to greet hers in a headbutt. All limbs locked around his muscular frame, in attempt to restrict his movement and to choke the air out of him; he was a lot bigger than herself therefore her attempt at this move was almost embarrassing before aiming blows at his head. The metal of the dumpster hit her back roughly causing her to attempt to grind the backs of her teeth together to restrict the cry of pain that wanted to erupt as her exposed scars were the first to hit the chilling metal. It took her a few moments to regain composure, those damn scars; she could take multiple of blows to the head but even a flick to the scars caused her to shudder in pain.

Clarissa used her knees to support her for a moment, composing herself as she listened to his own breathless words; the compliment of her fighting skills caused a slow smile to appear on her lips as she finally stood up straight; the rise and fall of her chest began to slow. “I’ve been training every day for many years” She threw him a wink before allowing herself to get into his head, not wanting to engage in any conversation for him to distract her further. Once in his head, she created the feeling that every bone in his body began to bend and snap; starting at his fingers before working its way to bigger, more useful bones. Clarissa didn’t want it to come to this but she needed that jewel, however, as she glanced away from him for a moment to plan her escape, she realised her jacket had gone, which caused her mental manipulation to break. “No, no no” Clarissa panicked and ran over to where she left it, rummaging behind lone bin bags. “This is not happening” Her slender fingers forcefully ran through her curled locks.

“It looks like we put on a bloody good show for someone” She grunted, turning back to the man she had just conflicted mental pain on.

"Clearly," he replied at her mentioning of training. He rubbed his head one more time, looking over at her, but saw her body language changing. She was preparing to attack again and he groaned in response. There was a brightness that passed over her eyes as he saw the purple tint illuminate their normal dark hues. A sudden pain ripped through the hand he was just using to rub his head that felt like it had suddenly broken. Dominic knew the pain well as he'd done it multiple times after many fights and drunken nights over the years. Soon the pain seemed to spread to other parts of his body and he fell to his knees in agony. This was why he hated dealing with Nephilim. She was using her mind tricks to make him feel like every bone in his body was breaking. Dominic keeled over onto all fours as his ribs felt like they were being snapped, letting out an audible yell of pain.

He wasn't sure how much more he would be able to take as he tried to push back on her powers. Fighting against a Nephilim was truly his worst enemy. Turned out she was the killing type and Dominic thought she may actually do it as he writhed from the torment. Suddenly, the pain subsided and he let out a gasp, coughing violently. He wrapped an arm around his midsection as he leaned back on his ankles, feeling the dullness of the power that was leaving his body. She had broken her concentration and was running down the alleyway. Through lidded eyes he watched her as he regained his strength. From the sounds of it, someone had taken the jacket. "You're joking, right?"

Dominic grabbed on the dumpster for leverage and lifted himself to his feet. He shook himself out and cracked his neck trying to get himself back to normal. Stalking over to the Nephilim, he glared at her with all the anger he could muster. "Nice going..." He looked down into the darkness of the back street and concentrated as best as he could to pick up their scent. If he could still sense them, they hadn't gotten far. His eyes lowered into hers. What was he going to do about her? Just then Dominic realized they weren't alone. Though he couldn't see them, he knew they were coming by his enhanced hearing. Ten men suddenly appeared from all around them as they came from each exit of the alleyway.

"Boss says to bring you in alive," one of them said as he stepped forward with a cocky grin. "Was non-specific as to what condition that had to be." Dominic's eyes fell to the man's waistband were he saw a gun and then to the other men where he saw most of them were either carrying or had knives and batons. From their scents, he could tell they were a mix of supernaturals and humans. Interesting.

Dominic sighed and glared at the man, but spoke to the Nephilim beside him. "Handle them and then we go back to killing each other?" He rolled his shoulders, never losing eye contact with the lackey and hoping she would agree to the compromise of a short truce.

Her mind was racing, the Organisation didn’t tell her any more information who else wanted the jewel; they were only under the impression that it was the Ailwards and themselves. How could she have missed such thing? Sure her mind was a little preoccupied with the Therian but she was trained for other distractions; this only meant one thing, whoever stole her jacket and the jewel they were trained maybe more so than herself or they had done their homework on them knowing how to get around the two trained fighters. Clarissa looked down the alleyway, her brows furrowing in annoyance as she mentally beat herself up for allowing something like that to happen. Her ears twitched slightly as she heard him come back to the present, recovering from the inflicted pain that she had bestowed upon him; her hands rested upon her hips as she allowed him to join her although she resisted the urge to punch him for simply distracting her.

“You’re taking some of the credit for this mishap, buddy.” She scorned to him with narrowed eyes. “If I go down, I’m sure as hell dragging you with me” Clarissa shot him a honey coated smile which faded just as quickly as it arrived as he had sensed something long before she could realise they had company. She looked at him with confusion before dragging her gaze away to find ten other men surrounding them in a circle; they were obviously the people who took the jewel from her and she didn’t recognise them. Oh, she couldn’t wait to get back to her so called Organisation for missing this information out of their proposal. Automatically her body posed itself into a defensive stance not knowing which individual the man was talking to; she assumed her fellow thief. “Do you know them?” She sideward muttered to the man she had yet to assign a name to but right now she knew she probably needed him to get out of this mess.

“You got it, handsome” She allowed a playful grin to form on her lips as she gave him once last glimpse before narrowing down her first victim; this time she went for the kill straight away, there would be no toying with her prey, not this time. Noting the guns and the like, she knew that they wouldn’t play fair which made her exhale in annoyance before moving in for the kill; she went for the one that looked least trained first, it wouldn’t take as much energy  before moving on to better, well trained fighters. Clarissa quite literally pounced on the poor boy who probably would just have a heart attack at a girl flinging herself upon him; once contact was made, she pinned the man to the ground; resisting his struggles to find his knife in his belt. Once the knife was in her grasp, she muttered an apology to him before piercing it through his chest; her ears twitched at the sound of the fight beginning behind her and she hoped for his sake that he had recovered from her own torturing.

Dominic smirked at her reply before taking a play from the Nephilim's playbook and headbutting the asshole in front of him. As he stumbled backwards, he pulled the gun from his waistband and smashed it over the head of the next guy who came at him. A kick came swiftly to the side of his ribcage which caused him to fall backwards slightly as another one of them came from the opposite side and football tackled Dominic to the ground. The Therian landed on his back as the assailant remained on top of him and began throwing punches. Dom grabbed the man's arm and instantly snapped it at the elbow before pushing him off. His gaze moved to where his new partner was and saw she was handling herself just fine. The beautiful ones were always the scariest.

The gun he had dropped slid a few feet away and he was quick to grab it as the next man came for him. Firing a round, it hit the pursuer in his chest and dropped him immediately. Two more men came at him at the same moment, but Dominic rolled out of the way. He brought the gun back around to take aim, but a foot landed quickly on his wrist, pinning it to the ground and knocking the weapon from his hand. Reaching his arms around the man's leg, he pulled him to the ground and crushed his kneecap. The man cried out in pain and the second assailant stepped up. Dominic did a quick kip-up and smirked at the man. Giving him a choice finger, he screamed at him with rage, causing his eyes to go white from his Lycan form. "Come on, asshole!" The man charged, pulling his baton out and trying to take a swing at the wolf, but he dodged it and grabbed him by the collar and threw him against the side of the building before slamming him to the ground and dropping his knee into the man's throat.

A shot went off and it grazed Dominic in the shoulder. Growling, he picked up the dropped baton and threw it at the shooter who stumbled backwards and fell into one of the men that was just about to hit the Nephilim. "You owe me!" he yelled down the alley as he felt a line suddenly go around his neck from behind. Someone was attempting to choke him out, but he threw his weight down and forward which flipped the attacker off of him. From the looks of it, he was the only one of them still conscious. The woman had made light work of the rest of them. Dominic grabbed the handgun that was still on the ground and pointed it at the man. "Time to start talking, Jr."

The sound of shooting rang within her ears, echoing over and over causing a very disgruntled moan to rumble within the pits of her belly as the blood soaked onto her hands from her first, fresh kill. Clarissa watched as the poor young boy chocked to death on his own blood and saliva before moving on, she straightened herself out and caught a glimpse of her now partner and she was happy to see that he was holding his own; she noticed the majority of the other men went towards him, seeing the bigger Therian more of a threat than a young woman. She smirked at that, little did they know that it was probably the other way round; it was she they should be worried about. Clarissa watched the men swarm for a moment to long before she felt a powerful knock to the back of the head which caused her to stumble forwards, losing her balance for the moment. “Son of a…” She growled, as she swung round to see the godforsaken man that would do such a thing; with a challenging smirk she simply twisted her torso round to aim a well-rounded punch to the man’s face; hearing the crack of his nose as she did so before sweeping him off his feet, colliding her legs with the back of his knees. Tightening her grip with the knife once more, she gave the man the quick death that he didn’t deserve.

Clarissa preferred the knife or sword compared to the gun; a knife felt more personal, that she took time out of her day to sentence someone to an everlasting sleep whereas a gun was a quick and easy way to rid someone off this Earth. Plummeting the knife into the man’s chest, she heard her fellow thief shout out that she owed him and before she could truly make sense of what he meant, she watched a stumbling man pull the trigger and how a bullet skimmed her face. Her breath caught within the back of her throat as she wiped the back of her blood stained hand against her forehead; shaking her near encounter off she ran off towards her next victim who had eyed her at the same moment; he had an arrogant grin upon his lips which aggravated her more and he sure wasn’t shy in aiming blows at her; much to her dismay he easily twisted her so her back was facing him giving him prime opportunity to hit several blows to her now completed exposed scars causing Clarissa to cry out in pain. She hated showing she was in agony, always in the act of her being tortured she would allow her screams to be muted or muffled to the best of her ability; she would never want to give someone the satisfaction of knowing they were hurting her.

Channelling the pain as adrenaline she broke out of his hold, ignoring the burn which stung away on her back she turned to face him; her lavender specked eyes gleamed with distinct darkness, boring into him as if straight to his damned soul.  She imagined fire, with teeth bared like a tiger on the prowl she gave him the most unwelcomed death; the sensation of being burnt alive until his heart gave out, allowing him to fall to the floor like a damsel in distress. Her eyes had remained a vibrant purple as she glanced around the scene before her, before they fell on the Therian who had the only survivor, he had more control than she, she would have killed the being in a heartbeat. She kept the knife to hand, another one to add to her collection by slipping it between her jeans and her hip as she went to stand next to the long haired wolf.

“He’s not just going to give out information” Clarissa sighed dramatically as she looked up at the wolf with the loaded gun. “You have to force it out.” She gave his broad shoulder a few pats before wandering over to other man; her hands venturing round his physique until she found his wallet in his back trouser pocket. Inside, a standard family photo with who she assumed was his child. “Sweet kid, I’m sure she's easy to track down, I have people you know” Her bloodied thumb ran over the photograph, such innocence could be wasted by having such a Father as himself; Clarissa then caught a glimpse at the white eyes of the Therian and simply nodded; not particularly bothered if he fired a shot.

Dominic's eyebrow raised at her callousness. He had a feeling the threat was real and not just a front to get information from the soldier on the ground. He kept the gun aimed at the man while stepping on his hand. "I just met her and she had no problem offing any of your boys, so I would suggest you believe her because I wouldn't be stupid enough not to. Being a Lycan myself, I guarantee you I will track the kid down. because I don't want her on my bad side." The man took only a second to think about his answer before nodding his head and looking back from her to Dominic.

"We were hired less than a week ago to help some anonymous person who paid really well. This next job was to steal a necklace from the hibachi down the block. When we got to the restaurant, the blackout happened and we followed you all out. Boss told us to sit sight and wait so we wouldn't draw attention while you two were going at it, but saw the opportunity and took the jacket. Next orders were to kill you."

Dominic lowered the gun slightly into the man's face and gritted his teeth. "Yea? How's that working out for you?" He put his other hand through his hair and sighed. "Where were you all going to meet up afterwards?" The bested soldier hesitated and looked away from the Therian, but Dominic raised his leg and stomped down on the man's kneecap, crushing it. "Sorry, what? I missed what you said."

The man yelled out in agony, grabbing onto his injured extremity. "I... I don't know," he stammered. "He never gave us our next steps until after we'd done a task. Everything was done in the moment in case someone was captured so they couldn't give out information. I swear. It's the truth." From the look in the man's eyes, Dominic thought he wasn't lying, but he looked over to the Nephilim who was a natural lie detector when it came to humans and she nodded. He was telling the truth.

"Well, guess you better go get your family and leave town before something bad happens to you." Dominic lowered the weapon and stepped back. The man didn't know what to do at first and looked back and forth between the two supernaturals. The Lycan sighed and rolled his eyes. "Any time, man. Before I change my mind."

Hobbling to his feet, the soldier began to limp down the alleyway as fast as he could after nodding to Dominic in thanks for letting him live. Sometimes mercy was important, but he had a feeling the Nephilim had no idea what that concept was. "Great. This just became a bigger shitstorm than I anticipated." Dom spun the gun around handing it over to her handle first to show he was still holding to their truce. "Care for a drink? Think it's time we compare notes." He stepped passed her and started walking out of the alleyway towards the street. His mission was now the nearest bar. "Dominic, by the way..." he called behind him, shrugging his leather jacket on again.
