‘You want to know how to remove the curse? I need information from someone high up. His name is  Alexander Sundfør. Kidnap him, a location to follow. -A’

Siobhan had opened the letter, read it, folded it closed what felt like a million times. She had figured out with a phone call to the City hall to a contact that seemed to know her, where he would be that evening. The person who sent her the note sent a dress for the ball that was happening that evening. She wondered if a ball was the best place to try and kidnap someone. Maybe it would be easier because he would be off guard. She cleaned up and slipped into the Yellow high slit dress. On her hidden thigh she strapped a row of daggers to it.

After looking at her reflection in her motel mirror. She gave a faint smile, She couldn’t remember the last time she had been in something so beautiful. Looking at the time she slipped on her heels and made her way out of the door. She tried to plan out how she was going to capture this Alexander male in order to get the answers she needed. Her blue eyes searched along the street as if looking for the person who gave her this mission. After a moment of standing there she found herself walking towards the hall the ball was being held in.

Once there she slipped through the service entrance managing to not be seen even in such a bright dress. She filtered into the crowd, picking up a drink from one of the trays waiters were carrying. She raised it to her lips downing the whole thing, her eyes closing from the comforting taste of alcohol on her tongue. Knowing that she shouldn’t give into the craving to get lost into the blackout she always craved from alcohol. She looked around the room and started to walk around to see if she could pick up on the name Alex or Alexander. She secretly hoped he would just fall into her lap and ask her to dance.

She took one of the mini pieces of food popping it into her mouth. She set the glass aside as she tucked her blonde hair behind her ear. Her blue eyes searching before adjusting the top of her dress. She moved around the people standing out like a sore thumb before stopping in front of a strong looking man. She gave him a gentle smile after catching his eyes before looking away from him in a sly manner. Her nails came to run along her exposed shoulder slowly.

Reaching up Alexander rubbed the fabric of his brand new, tailored charcoal grey suit attaching a golden pocket watch to his waistcoat. He always bought a three piece so in the eventuality he could dress down somewhat, but still look presentable. Alexi stood patiently as the attendant circled him and checked for any fitting flaws. He had been somehow convinced by a close friend to attend a charity ball to help raise funds for the local hospitals and their premature babies unit. The only reason he had agreed to go was simply because it was well...for charity...and not some random party he didn't have time for. Alexi had spent most of his youth in bars and clubs living it up and getting into all kinds of trouble. Even during this time as a teenager, he easily kept his grades straight and promised he would submit himself to become a surgeon like his father. Alexi however had no intention of doing any such thing but as long as his parents remained blindsided he could follow his actual dreams and pick up the benefits.

The young male may not have had an honest mouth, but he never slacked on anything he turned his attention to. His parents were proud of his achievements, they eventually agreed to give him free run on the weekends, covering up any misbehaviour or bailing him out if he got caught. Since then, his life had changed so drastically he barely kept in touch with the couple that had raised him. Maybe once or twice a year apart from Christmas when he would return back home to New York, with his fancy car and high flying job. It was easy enough to convince his parents he had a happy successful life.

Stepping down from the small raised platform, Alexander changed from the suit back into his normal day wear and paid in cash for it before he left the shop and went home. It wasn't long until the ball started but he had enough time to freshen up, pulling on his gun holster over his shoulders, before he left the house. The loaded gun was a precaution, which he didn't expect to use. Afterall it was a charity ball. What could go wrong? He had gotten into a bad habit of carrying if he went out at night and tonight would be no difference. His simple humanity bothered him. The drive was a long one, but he managed to get there on time, parking his blue Lamborghini a few blocks down where he agreed to meet his friend and together they walked towards the entrance.

Alexi wasn't much of a drinker but this time he made an exception because of the occasion, picking up a whiskey from one of the waiters as he went around mingling with the other guests. At least all the conversion wasn't boring to his intelligent mind. But most of the groups indulged in small talk, which was not appealing to him in the slightest. The tall brown haired male lowered his gaze to the floor and when his green eyes raised once more, they focused on a flash of yellow disappearing through the crowd. The male looked around him to see if he could spot where the woman had gone, but he didn't spot her again. Surely the whiskey wasn't having that much of an effect on him. Don't be ridiculous. Even so Alexander politely removed himself from the small group he was apart of, making his way over to one of the members of staff so he could relinquish his beverage and swap it for some food instead. Was there anything sweet? His eyes furrowed in thought as he turned around not expecting to catch the gaze of the woman he had spotted earlier that evening. She was smiling at him so he instinctively returned the expression but continued to scan the room for his friend and a platter with something sweet on it. He knew what her behaviour meant and before he could move she was in his space.  Alexander looked her over subtly. She was obviously attractive which 100% would get him in trouble judging from past experience, "Hi. You know your eyes seem to be frozen on me. Am I that ugly?" he asked her the smile widening across his features as he tilted his head upwards in a greeting.

Siobhan dropped the gaze of the man she was holding before making her way around the floor once again. She knew she had to start getting names if she was going to find this Alexander person. One would think A photo would be provided so she didn’t have to hunt around like a lost puppy. Maybe this was the plan of the person who gave her this request. Maybe they were just playing games. Why provide such a beautiful dress though if it was just a game? She wondered to herself as she hummed to the tune of the music playing.

She found herself picking up another piece of food from a tray as she moved around the floor finding herself standing next to the male who she had been staring at across the room a while ago. “Hello.” She returned the greeting as she picked up a flute from a passing waiter. She really figured everything was a prank at this point and she was going to be stuck with this curse. Keeping a sigh trapped in her throat she looked to him and raised her eyebrow towards the man. “I often find that most people stare not because they find someone ugly.” She stated as she ran her fingers along her golden locks pushing it over her shoulder as she took town the Flute of champagne.

She placed the empty flute on one of the trays again that passed by as she turned her attention back to the male fully taking in his nice suit for a moment before letting her blue green gaze drift back up to his. She gave a sweet innocent smile to hide the vacancy behind those gem eyes she had. “So no I would say you are not ugly.” She let her eyes scan the room. “Come to these charity events often? I feel like I have never seen you at one myself.” not that she had been to one but it was easy enough to hide that fact by questioning if he had been to one himself.

She shifted where she stood her leg slipping out of the split on the side of her dress when she did so. “Where are my manners?” she questions as she kept that forced smile. “I’m S-Sarah.” she held at her hand almost using her real name would have been bad. She really was bad at this whole undercover business. She hoped giving her fake name would earn his name in return making it easy enough for her to walk away if he wasn’t who she was looking for. No point in wasted effort.

The males eyes followed the pretty woman's movements when she set her flute back on to one of the trays, she was very talkative and he found his mind wandering the more she looked up at him with a smile that surely was suppose to be charming, but the tall male was perceptive and such a smile that did not reach the eyes, was no true smile at all.

However since Alexi was interested in the cause of this ball, he remained polite and pulled out his social charms, "No, I don't tend to frequent social events such as this, I like to remain anonymous - big surprise there" he replied expecting the inner joke to pass over her head as he figured she didn't know what his job was, "I'm here to support a friend who has lost herself in the crowd, no doubt being the life of the party. If you can call this...a party." pausing, he shrugged his broad shoulders, lifting his hand to rub over his eyes. It had been a long week and the lack of sleep was steadily catching up with him.

Alexander lifted a small dish of chocolate profiteroles off of a passing tray, glancing down he spotted the knives attached to the woman's leg as it slipped out of the slit in her dress. At first he was suspicious, why would someone carry weapons to a charity ball? But the question soon became humorous to him when he realised the irony, he himself had a gun concealed under his tailored suit jacket. The welcoming smile he had placed along his facial features turned up on one side, into a sharp half smile, "Hi S-Sarah" he repeated her stammer playfully, "How about you give me one of those knives you have strapped to your leg, so I can eat this without getting my hands fucked up." he stated placing his forest coloured eyes back on to the blonde, keeping his smile in place, "I'm Alexander....Alexi" he offered his hand toward hers as a gesture of good faith, "So what brings you to this wonderful charity event?" he asked in return with a hint of sarcasm in his deep tones. The event was for an excellent cause but he really didn't have time to spare for such grandeur. People were fickle, surely if half of the cost of this ball was donated to the Hospitals it would be better use of it, rather than stroking the attendees ego.

With that the male turned his head to look for an empty table to sit down with or without one of the knives he has requested. Most of them were filled all apart from a 4 seated round table near the main flight of elegant steps that led up to the balcony above. Without another word Alex moved off to sit down, he could be a little aloof when he wanted to be or seemingly uninterested but that was just part of his personality. He intended to leave soon, but not without giving a donation first. If Sarah decided to follow him he would pull a chair out for her to sit upon.

Siobhan honestly didn’t want to be at this event in such a bright dress. She missed the safety of her black clothing and the bottle of alcohol she would be nursing at that point. Yet she let the little charm she thinks she may have play into her actions. Yet in the back of her mind she could see the note that had been left for her. The darkness that hissed inside of her head telling her not to follow the notes orders was growing annoying. ‘The note is a lie, why even try to find this man? Just leave go get your drink for the night’ The darkness hissed in her mind. Which caused a slight wince from the force of it in her own head.

Yet her blue eyes focused on the man she had chosen to strike up a conversation with. He seemed to have enough charm to let her focus on him and what he was saying. “Not one to take credit for what you donate. You are already better than half these people here. One guy when I walked in said something along the lines of how he made the biggest donation last year and got not pat on the back so to say.” She gave a roll of her blue eyes for a moment before looking around for a moment. “Well I am sure she will catch up with you and try and pull you into the life of the...party.” She watched as he looked really tired and she leaned her head to the side for a moment. “Sleepy?” she asked him with a chuckle.

She gave a roll of her eyes towards him as he repeated her stammer playfully. “If you weren’t cute I would be offended.” She then as if unfazed by his question moved her leg out of her dress and pulled the smaller knife from the thigh strap and held it to him. “You know most people would question why I have these on my thigh. I guess you either understand how dangerous it is for a human around here, or how dangerous it is to be a woman in these times. Never can be too safe.” She took in his forest eyes with her ocean blue one, the smile seemed to actually touch her eye as she heard his name. “Well it is a pleasure to meet you Alexi.” She said the nickname he offered freely. She took his hand and gave a gentle shake of his hand.

She noted the sarcasm in another time, maybe she would have been his friend because she had the same feeling about these events. They were over the top just to give something so the people around can flash what they do for others. “I was invited by someone but he seems to have stood me up.” The lie passed her lips and no one would ever tell it was a lie. After all the darkness in her own mind made it hard for herself to know what was the truth and what was a lie. “So I figured why not still try and enjoy the event and donate some. Hospitals are a good cause they help people at least.” She had at least been smart enough to learn what the event was about.

As he started to move from her with her knife she followed behind him. After all she was overly sure he was the Alexander she was to find this evening. He was a strange one, seemingly not interested in her charms at all but held a pleasant enough conversation. It seemed fair in a way because if she wasn’t trying to get him alone she would be doing the same thing. She smiled as he pulled out a chair for her. “Thank you.” She said as she sat down and pulled her dress into place as she got comfy. She looked to the dance floor at the people dancing and looked back to him for a moment. “Do you dance?” she asked as she placed her elbow on the table leaning her face against her hand.

Alexander heard the click of heels coming behind him and he smiled, she was following to the table he had picked out. What was this womans deal, maybe she was genuinely interested in him...or his pocket. Sighing at his own scepticism he used her knife and ate the last of his plate, it wasn't very polite of him but honestly he didn't much care at this point, "Yea I dance but not at a place like this, I prefer nightclubs...bars....concerts....that sort of thing." he responded directing a smile towards her, "If you want sometime you can join me on a night out." he said as an open invitation, passing her his business card which had all the details she would need to contact him again, he usually had them on hand for the nights he was out in the city socially or even in clubs as it was easier than trying to get a number from a napkin.

The music in this place was as dull as the atmosphere in general and Alexi wanted nothing more than to leave and go home, which he fully intended to do but first he tagged down one of the passing waiters and ordered a vodka. It wasn't for he himself to consume but rather so he could clean the knife he borrowed from the small blonde woman sat in front of him. He wouldn't presume to return it being dirty and defiled with his DNA. Grabbing a cloth that was provided on the tables, he set about dampening the fabric into the alcohol, rubbing away any marks until it's blade was shining clean. Only then did he return it to her, "Thank you for your company, but I must be on my way" he spoke with a polite nod in her direction, complimented by a subtle smile.

With that Alex pushed back his chair and stood, he turned on his heel and walked over to the donations, writing a check with an ample amount as he had more than enough cash to spare and at least it was for a good cause. Usually in a crowd his height would have been of use, but the room was packed so it took him a while to spot his friend, which he hugged and ensured he would contact her when he got home safely. At the end of it he hated to admit the ball wasn't a complete waste of time.

Sarah stuck in his thoughts while he walked along the sidewalk to his car, he had parked it a few blocks away so it would take him a couple of minutes to get there. Alexi slipped his hands into his pants as his mind began to wander in the warm nights breeze. The quiet and calmer street was a welcome change to the bustle of the private event he had only left.

Siobhan shifted in her seat as he ate with her knife, her hands moved to smooth down her dress to make sure it was still flattering. “Now those places sound so much better than being stuck in a dress and fancy heels.” She gave a shake of her foot out from under her dress with a light chuckle from her lips. She picked up his business card and looked it over, confirming he was who she needed to find among the sea of nameless people she gave no care about. She leaned slightly closer towards the dark haired male and smirked. “Now if I didn’t know better I would think you have interest in me joining you for a night out.” She slid his business card into the top of her dress.

She didn’t question why he had cards, it made sense being in a place like this. She watched as he cleaned the knife before he returned it, which she slid back into its hiding place. “Very sweet of you to clean it off before giving it back.” She said softly as she watched him, “It was nice to meet you Alexander.” she said softly as her eyes didn’t leave him. As she watched him move around the room. Once he was gone the smile dropped and she stood up from the table picking up one more glass of alcohol. She downed it and using her training she slid out of the party unnoticed and followed behind him.

The night warm breeze flowing around her makes the ends of her dress dance. She hated what she was about to do. It made her stomach twist and turn. Coming back to this city had made her question her morals more than once. Yet she knew that she needed to get this curse off of her. If she didn’t she would just slip into the darkness completely, part of her selfishly wanted to fall into the darkness. Yet another part of her wanted to return to the girl everyone claimed she used to be. So as they got closer to what she assumed was his car, her eyes swirled with lavender and she used her ability to make him feel pain. She made him feel as if he was choking to keep him from screaming.

She moved closer to him and took hold of his shoulders and made him face her as she took away his ability to breath. “I do want to say I am so very sorry for this.” She watched as he passed out from the pain before she dropped the inflection. With a heavy sigh she took his car keys from him. Placing her handcuffs on him and tossed him in the back seat. She slid into the drivers side and took off towards the motel she had set up in. Once there she got him out of the car and inside the room. She threw him on the bed and handcuffed him there. She moved, removing everything from his pockets. Such as his phone and anything else he may have on him.

She removed his shoes and covered him up as she moved across the room and sat in the chair there. Picking up the note once again. ‘You want to know how to remove the curse? I need information from someone high up. His name is  Alexander Sundfør. Kidnap him, a location to follow. -A’ With a heavy sigh she leaned her head in her hand and closed her eyes for a moment.

Alexi continued to walk down the sidewalk towards his car, he could see it not far off in the distance, the bright blue tinge of his Lamborghini glowed in the moonlight. It was his own mistake to refrain from looking around him as all seemed normal and quiet enough with people going about their own business, passing him once and a while. However the streets were mostly empty. At first the pain registered in his hand and he thought for a moment it could have been from the car, due to his fingers dwelling near the door handle, but that didn't make any logical sense. He had owned this car for over a year and no such feeling befell him before. Alexi swallowed slowly as the burning sensation flowed up his arm directly to his heart where it immediately spread like wildfire throughout him with every new beat. It felt like his most vital organ had corrupted pushing his agony to the extreme. Instead of keeping him alive, it was killing him with each passing second.

Alex clasped his head as his face contorted showing off his discomfort, only to fall to the ground seconds later. He couldn't speak, he couldn't see clearly but most of all he couldn't breathe. The only thing he could be sure of was that this was no mistake. Maybe he had drank something? Consumed poison by accident? Whatever was in his system it relentlessly sparked off his nerve endings, even his bare skin against the cold ground was excruciating, the touch of a comfortable tailored suit like sandpaper, his rasping breath choking him as if it were smoke filling his lungs instead of life giving oxygen. Even so he was glad when someone touched his shoulders and turned him over from laying on his side. Resting on his back he looked up, it was definitely a woman, but he couldn't see details only a flowing yellow garment. Sarah? He questioned in his mind before it faded to black.

The next couple of hours passed quickly for the built male. Despite how he had gone out his "sleep" felt restful as if the reason for his pain had completely dissipated just as quickly as it had attacked his system. Alexis eyes opened slowly, everything was in much better focus than it had been before but his body felt heavy, like dead weight he couldn't move at all. Where was he? Obviously not on the pavement anymore. He turned his head and looked around as the room came into more focus, he was laying on what felt like a soft welcoming bed, but his gut told him something was amiss. The room didn't resemble a hospital or his own bedroom, so if he wasn't in either where the fuck was he? Anxiety soon replaced any calmness he might have had with that notion. Maybe he shouldn't jump to conclusions...maybe everything was ok.

As his mind and body came to, the Sundfor male attempted to move and his fears were confirmed. His wrist was attached to the bed frame. "No. No. Shit." he whispered out from a parched throat as his mind ran through anyone he may have pissed off. Sadly in his case that was a lot of dangerous people. The only thing that suggested otherwise was how whoever had trapped him to this bed had also taken off his shoes and covered his body with a soft blanket. Why would the same person do both. It didn't make sense until his eyes fell on the blonde haired woman he had met earlier at the charity ball, "Sarah...." he spoke out in confusion, "Whats happening? Did they take you too? Help me out of this?" he said as he motioned to his wrist.

She was sure he would be out a while longer so she stripped away the yellow dress, and daggers from her thigh and pulled on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. She sat back in the chair, tightening her hands so her nails dug into her palm as a way of soothing her own nerves knowing when he work up she needed to be cold towards him.  She needed to show that she didn’t care. ‘But you don’t care, remember?’ her head turned towards the left where the darkness of the curse always spoke to her. ‘Just murder him, he won’t help you get rid of what is apart of you.’ the darkness hissed again. “Shut up.” Siobhan muttered as she picked up one of the daggers and started to drag it back and forth on her leg with light pressure. If she threatened her body the darkness seemed to tuck back away in her mind.

The pull of the handcuff and his words pulled her head up to look at him. As he took in where he was and how he looked to her she tilted her head to the side. She let out a gentle sigh before shaking her head. “No one took me Alexander, I am the one that took you.” She cleared up knowing he very well may be confused. Setting down the dagger she had. She moved holding a bottle of water out to him opening it in front of him to show it was sealed. “Sorry about the whole making you feel like you were choking, figured it was a nicer way to make you pass out.” She said as she moved back across the room and picked up her right leg and brought it up on the chair with her. She stared at him for a long time before she picked up the dagger she had again.

“What makes you valuable?” she asked as she started to trail the dagger along her thigh again. “Apparently someone thinks you are worth kidnapping. Now I can assume you are someone who has money, but then my mind has to wander on what else you may have.” She said as she looked to him through her lashes. “Name is Siobhan also, Sarah I just said because I was hoping you were not the man I was to kidnap.” She gave a gentle sigh as she looked away from him. “I had really hoped it would be some guy who came on to me and was sleazy and would make what I need to do easier.” She stood up and moved to the window even though it wasn’t open she stood in front of the curtain staring at it, as if she was nowhere in that room at that moment.

She turned back to him then her eyes dead behind them as she moved closer to him. She placed the dagger to his neck and pushed him back on the bed with her strength. Her free hand holding his free hand on the bed. Her knee pressed lightly where his family jewels were as a warning for him to try her. “Tell me Alexander Sundfør where do you work? I need to know why someone is willing to give me answers for you?” She looked in his eyes as she pressed the dagger to his neck a little harder. “Are you a bad guy Alexander? Are you someone who hurts other people for your gain?” She snarled almost as she really wanted him to be a bad guy. The darkness hissing in her left ear 'kill him! kill him!'

Alexander stared at the small blonde woman wondering how he was to get himself out of this disastrous situation, he really hadn't had  a lot of luck lately, between his car having troubles, the lost paintings, lack of sleep and now this. If he got out of this alive he knew it probably wouldn't be long before something just as bad befell him. He enjoyed women's attention but not this kind, "Nothing makes me valuable." he said as he watched her cut the dagger into her thigh, what the hell was wrong with his chick Injuring herself up like that, fuck knows what she'd do to him.

Alexi laid on the bed of the random motel room he had been taken to,  wishing he was back home, sleeping on his desk with a cup of hot coffee beside him and all of his monitors still running, like silent friends keeping him company, "Then let me go. All I have is money and I'll give you whatever amount you ask..." he pleaded with her as he reached his other hand up and yanked at the hand cuffs. They didn't give much leverage but the railing seemed a little loose. That wouldn't do any good. A little disheartened his mind drifted for a couple of seconds, until he felt the results of his efforts to be free. The metal had cut into his skin and the warm red blood had began to seep out of the wound over his tanned skin. It felt extremely uncomfortable, but just maybe it would allow him to slip his wrist from it's bindings if he spread the blood somehow. Once she had turned away he pulled again and winced as more of the liquid seeped out of the crevice embedded into his skin. "Worth it." he grunted knowing his logic wasn't too far off. Only to stop once she turned back around.

Pulling in a desperate breath the Sundfor male kept his nerve. It would do him no good to lose it now even if she was approaching him with a knife in hand and his body was forced back on to the bed with inhuman strength. Fuck he hated supernaturals. "I'm gonna die. I'm gonna die." he thought closing his eyes but was almost relieved when the blade didn't pierce him, and instead settled into his neck. Slit throat though messy was much quicker than being stabbed multiple times. Alex knew with his muscular frame and the size of her weapon it would have been a lengthy, agonising option. Ironic he had used he same one earlier to eat dessert with and cleaned it off, just for it to be stained again.  A simple pleasure led to a dangerous result.

He was beyond angry and every part of his outward appearance would have given her that impression apart from his forest green eyes, which were full of emotion, showing his true caring nature, "I'm self employed, I build custom computers and fix them. Check my pocket, or even your own...you'll see...the card I gave you...I swear." he spoke out as he attempted to control his quick paced breathing. It wasn't a lie as he did do that on the side and for his own gain. He certainly wasn't going to tell her he was head of The Organisations Security Department.

As she continued to question him his mind raced, movies were so unrealistic but in a time like this they were the only things he had to reference apart from his own wits, "You met me at a charity ball for fuck sake. Do I seem like a bad guy? Either let me go or kill me." he stated clenching his jaw he stared at her directly and held his gaze. Without conscious thought Alexander folded his longer fingers over hers into a secure grasp, despite the cold blade pressing into his neck he pushed upwards against it until he was close enough to whisper. It would be the perfect end to his fucked up life. Broken by an inhuman and killed by one, "Death is not the opposite of life. But part of it. Flip a coin."

Siobhan felt like a fuse was going to cause her to explode, between needing answers, almost to the point of losing her wings, the dark voice in her head, and now being forced to kidnap someone. She wanted to turn the blade fully on herself. After all if she was no longer around she couldn’t cause problems for anyone. Her mind drifted to how Dominic would be so angry if he could see her now. Especially since he would most likely be looking for her if she didn’t return to his cabin soon. She needed this to move quicker, so the threat of the knife to his neck was all she had at the moment. “Someone thinks you are Valuable.” She hissed out towards him.

The coppery smell was faint and she wasn’t gifted with a super smeller but she knew the smell of blood all too well. Her blue hues flickered to his wrist and she could see he was a fighter. Yet she couldn’t give up yet she needed to know why him. “I don’t want your damn money.” She snapped back though the voice in her head whispered ‘But money! We need Money for Alcohol!’ Siobhan teeth dug into her tongue to keep her from screaming out to the voice in her head. She didn’t need more than those who already know how crazy she is.

Her pale face hovered over him as she kept the blade to his neck but in a way that she had full control over if it was going to cut him or not. Her blue eyes not moving from his forest green ones as they spoke close to each other. Her hand holding his to the bed tightened. “Then why would someone want to kidnap a tech nerd? What are you really? Hacker on the side? Something more important to the humans?” Her heart sank as she tried to piece together what usefulness he could be to someone. “There has to be something!” She always wanted to cry at this point as she let out an annoyed sigh. “Do I look like a bad person Alexander? You meet me at a charity ball! Not everyone is as they seem, almost no one is.” With a huff she pulled the blade away and with a scream stabbed it into the wall.

She pulled her fingers from his as he held her hand in his grasp and got off of him. “Fuck life and death, its all fucking pointless. They are just people like you and I.” She muttered as she reached into her back pocket and undid the cuff around his arm and looked at the wound he caused himself. Without a word she ripped off the end of her shirt and wrapped it up. Tying it. She figured it was enough for now as she stepped away and moved back to where the letter was that held his name on it and sighed. “Leave before I change my mind. No one else should have to suffer because of what is wrong with me.” She said as she tossed the letter in the garbage and moved over to the mini fridge to pull out the tiny bottles of alcohol.

Whether he stayed or not she didn’t care, she planned to down the alcohol in her sorrow and then figure out another way to get the info she needed. She settled herself to the ground, her knees up and her hand resting on her neck as she downed the first bottle. ‘You could still get his money!’ The voice said in her hand and she let out a frustrated growl. “JUST LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE ALREADY YOU STUPID VOICE!” She screamed out as she clutched the sides of her head and buried it between her knees as she took in a few ragged breaths as she tried to calm her heart rate from the anger there. “I just want to be left alone.” She felt the tears spring to her eyes as she whimpered into her knees.

Alexis green eyes intensely stared at her while she held the knife to his neck, but gradually while he watched her actions everything about his demeanour softened, it could be a trick to gain his sympathy and help her but to him it seemed more like the small blonde haired woman, was truly lost. Her actions sporadic and full of overflowing emotion reminded him much of himself in that moment and he did empathise. Perhaps the goodness in her was lost to an useable darkness. A madness she dealt with day in day out, her own personal struggle. Reaching up from where he sat he pulled the knife from the wall and slipped it somewhere for safe keeping, but he never presumed to use it. Her questions filtered through his mind, one after the other and he answered them silently, slowly coming to terms with that all that had happened.

The male knew he could walk out of the room and leave her to her own devices, she had fully set him free with the cuff no longer cutting into his skin and her physically distancing herself from his own person. She had even gone a step further and offered him kindness by wrapping up his wounds, "...You seem to have two sides struggling against one another. It's perplexing." he spoke softly as he got up and passed her with haste to his step. Without a second thought he opened the door and walked out, putting as much distance between them as possible. Before long he found a cafe which was rather empty. Perfect. Anything to be around normality again he thought as he sat down and ordered a cup of tea and waited on his snack.  But it wasn't that simple. Nothing ever is. Life is difficult and no one should be left to go through it alone.

He wanted to stay in the cafe and relax, but something within him told him to go back. Was he mad? Possibly. Finishing his tea, he asked for the snack to be wrapped, shoving it in his pocket. Against his better judgement, he left the safety of other people and turned the corner, each step he took, his confidence grew with the decision, until he finally arrived outside the place he had been held captive. This was counterproductive but fuck it. He wasn't afraid.

Reaching out he placed his strong hand on the handle and turned it, to allow himself back inside, she was still sitting there in the same spot when he left. Alexi took a couple of steps over to her, taking her hand again as he remembered that seemed to pull her from whatever negative mind space she was in before, "I don't know why someone told you to kidnap me, and you are right, no one should suffer because of what you are going through, that includes yourself." he spoke out in as gentle of a tone as he could manage. He was still pissed but his intentions were good, "First off, stop this bullshit." he said taking the alcohol off of her and throwing it away, "You need to face your problems head on. Not feed into them."

Alexander looked down to Siobhan curled up with tear stained eyes, he didn't like seeing anyone this way and he knew it would be one hell of a journey deciding to help her. But he was here now. Without asking permission he pulled her up from the seat and opened the door, bringing her outside into the sunlight and fresh air, "Come walk with me. Tell me what's going on inside there." he said lifting his free hand that wasn't holding hers to tap the side of her temple gently. "I can help you, but only if you don't try to kill me again." he continued with a hint of playfulness in his deep tone.

The two sides she was struggling with were in fact true and confusing to almost everyone around her. So she was not surprised it seemed to confuse Alexi just as it had the others in her life once again. She didn’t look to him as he left, not wanting her help. Not that she could blame him. She would have ran herself. She stayed there on the floor listening to the dark voice in her head. ‘You coward, you should have killed him. Now you will get locked up and not be able to keep living your life.’ Siobhan’s hands came into her hair and tightened against her skull as if trying to apply pressure in a way to make the dark voice escape her. Her eyes closed tightly as she rocked back and forth gently. “Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.” she muttered over and over again trying to drive the voice out.

She hadn’t heard the door open after all why would she, when she was lost in her own head. The steps echoing through the room didn’t even make her flinch. If someone was going to kill her at least she couldn’t be a burden anymore. Yet as the warm hand touched hers, her gaze shifted to it, then up to his own face. Confusion crossed her face as she looked at him. “Why?” was all she could get out when really she wanted to know why he dare return. After all he should be a city away by this point in her mind. Her eyes snapped into focus as he spoke to her. He was angry under the surface that much she could see while his words spewed out. Forgetting the bottle she had been holding. Watching it fly into the trash she looked back to him. “How can I face my problems head on when they are in your head?” She asked lightly to him.

It almost sounded like a bad riddle and yet it wasn’t it was a desperate question she hadn’t dared to ask anyone yet. Before she knew it, she was on her feet and being moved out of the door way. When the sun hit her face her eyes closed mainly because it was bright. Yet she took a deep breath in her lungs. The warmth of the large star that heated their solar system felt welcoming. When was the last time she just stood in the sunlight not lost in her own head. She felt his finger against her temple causing her blue eyes to drift open and look into his eyes. “I am not sure anyone can handle what is going on in there.” She said lightly before letting the breath she took in out.

“I will try not to kill you.” She said before pulling her hand free from his and tucked them in her jean pockets. She was uncomfortable with human contact. It made her mind swirl with worries. Yet her gaze caught what looked like a walking trail in a park just beyond the road. So that is where she made her way in silence for a moment till they were safely at the park. She found a bench that faced a body of water and sat on it. She sat so that she could hug her knees sitting there quiet for a long moment before she let out a defeated sigh. She owed him some kind of answers.

“According to others, I hadn’t always been this way. I was a loving person. Then two years ago something changed.” She started her gaze hung on the water as the ducks swirled around. “I was homeless in New York. That is the earliest memory I can recall. I was hungry and looking for money. Some guy offered me money exchange for sex. Yet he didn’t plan on having sex with me. He wanted to kill me, or worse.” She swallowed hard before hanging her head more.  “So I killed him and took everything he had on him. I went front here traveling via buses to different cities, robbing who I could to survive. If anyone tried to hurt me well they didn’t survive.” She knew admitting this could cause her trouble. He could run to the police and give whatever evidence she had to them and she could be locked away. Where she most likely belonged.
